Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop innovative, practical and effective learning media in Mathematics with the material of the Biggest Fellowship Factor (FPB) and the Smallest Multiples Alliance (KPK). This research is motivated by the large number of MI who do not have adequate learning media. The development method in this learning media uses a rare method of research and development (Research and Development) developed by Sadiman consisting of 9 steps namely; 1) Analyzing needs, 2) Formulating objectives, 3) Formulating items, 4) Arranging gauges of success, 5) Writing media manuscripts, 6) Expert validation, 7) Trials, 8) Revisions, 9) Final manuscript products. The results of this study indicate that the Interactive Multimedia learning media based on Adobe Flash CS 6 falls into the feasible and effective category. This learning media is declared feasible based on the feasibility test according to media experts with a total percentage of 90.63% and valid material experts with a percentage of 91.46%. This learning media is effective based on effectiveness test with small group test results with a percentage of 90%, and large group trials with a percentage of 90.23%. Whereas in its application it was able to increase the grade average grade to 82.06. So that interactive multimedia learning media based on Adobe Flash CS 6 is included in the category of innovative, practical, effective and feasible to use.

Abstract

The existence of Civic Education(PKn) Course in the Higher Education curriculum is a compulsory subject that must be taken and passed by every student, so it is known as the General Compulsory Course (MKWU). Moreover, due to its mission on developing students' personalities, Civic Education is also known as the Personality Development Course (MKPK). However, the problem that still arises is the attitude and behavior of some students who violate moral values and character, such as cheating during exams, plagiarizing other people's work in doing assignments, drinking alcohol, doing immoral actions or promiscuity, brawling among students or groups of students, skipping lectures beyond the tolerance. In addition, another problem commonly faced is the non-optimal learning process for Civic Education which is known from the lack of students' involvement in the learning process. The implementation of the Citizen Project Model as an effort to solve problems in Civic Education learning could make students understand and behave in accordance with moral values and character as citizens. Furthermore, this model could also make students active, creative, collaborative, disciplined, and build good relations with the community and government officials. This study aims to examine the Project Citizen model in building students' moral values and character at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (UMP). This research was carried out with a qualitative approach using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) design. The students were involved in each stage of Project Citizen in three participatory action cycles. The data collection technique used interviews, observations, video recordings, and documents. The data analysis used theme analysis. The study results prove that the stages of the project citizen model can build UMP students' moral values and character. UMP students' moral values and character are described in 8 themes, including rationality, justice, honesty, kindness, prosocial behavior/doing good to others, the character of citizens, braveness, and motivation to be an open and independent person

Abstract

This research is a dilator behind the low critical thinking ability and independent learning attitude of students in the learning process in grade IV SD/MI. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of critical thinking skills and learning independence of students who received learning with literacy-based and non-PBL PBL models. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a Non equivalent [Pre-Test and Post-Test] Contro lGroups Design (NCGD) design. The experimental group was given treatment using a literacy-based PBL model while the control group learning took place in natural situations or in this study called non-PBL. The subjects of this study were 39 students of class IV MI Muhammadiyah Kramat, Kembaran District. The instruments used were critical thinking ability test sheets, student learning independence attitude questionnaires and learning observation sheets using the PBL model. The results of this study indicate that an increase in each stage in the implementation of PBL learning can facilitate the improvement of critical thinking skills and independent learning attitudes of fourth grade students of MI Muhammadiyah Kramat. There is an increase in critical thinking skills and independent learning attitudes between students who receive learning with literacy-based and non-PBL PBL models. The literacy-based PBL model further enhances students' critical thinking skills and independent learning attitudes compared to the non-PBL model.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the role of organizational culture in moderating the influence of emotional intelligence and professional competence on teacher performance at SMKN 1 Kedungwuni, Pekalongan Regency. This study with a population of 101 people, namely all teachers of SMKN 1 Kedungwuni, Pekalongan Regency. The data collection technique used survey methods and the research instrument used a questionnaire with a Likert scale 5. The instrument test was carried out with validity tests through CFA, reliability tests, normality tests, heteroscedasticity tests, and model tests (F test, R-Square and sig). Test the hypothesis with quasi-regression analysis, interaction technique by looking at the sig value. The results showed that emotional intelligence had a positive effect on teacher performance, professional competence had a negative and significant effect on teacher performance, organizational culture had no significant effect on teacher performance, organizational culture moderated the influence of emotional intelligence and professional competence on teacher performance

Abstract

This research is motivated by conditions in the field which are still low in mathematics learning achievement for third grade students at SD Negeri 068 Palembang. This is based on observations that have been made where students have difficulty in solving problems related to arithmetic operations. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Jarimatika method on students' mathematical creative thinking skills in terms of the gender of the 3rd grade students of SD Negeri 068 Palembang. This research uses experimental research with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this research is the third grade students of SD Negeri 68 Palembang. The research sample is class III students. A SD Negeri 68 Palembang using non-probability sampling technique. Methods of data collection using observation, tests, and documentation. The results of this study have differences in the Jarimatika method on the mathematical creative thinking ability of third grade students at SDN 068 Palembang. The results shown from the research students answered questions creatively according to students' understanding. There are differences in the creative thinking abilities of male and female students. It is proven by the results on the test questions for male students with a score of 91 and female students with a score of 85. In a sense, male students are superior to female students. The results of this study are also used to see the effectiveness of the Jarimatika method on the ability to think creatively.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop innovative, practical and effective learning media in Indonesian subjects with instructional materials for the use of tools. This research was motivated by the number of MI which did not have adequate learning media. This study uses the ADDIE development procedure with stages, Analysis, namely analyzing everything that includes needs and development, Design is making a framework, arrangement and appearance, Development includes the process of developing validation and revision media, Implementation is carried out in learning with media that has been developed and Evaluation, namely evaluating the media developed related to the level of effectiveness and attractiveness in learning. Data collection techniques used a questionnaire to assess the feasibility of the media and pretest and posttest questions to collect student value data. This research was conducted in class IV MI Qomarul Huda Banaran, Tembarak District, Temanggung Regency. The results of this study indicate that the Android-Based Puzzle learning media falls into the proper and effective category. This learning media was declared feasible based on the feasibility test according to media experts with a total percentage of 92% and valid material experts with a percentage of 81%. Whereas in its application, 32 students were able to increase the class average score from 68.33 to 86.7. So that the Android-based Picture Frame learning media is included in the valid, effective and feasible category to use.

Abstract

The current study aims at analysing phonological production of Sundanese beginner EFL learners in an elementary school in West Java. This study analyses both the production of vowels and consonants that are particularly present in English language but are not in the learners’ L1 i.e., Sundanese. Qualitative approach was used in the study. Participants were asked to read two English short stories titled “A Good Boy” and “A Greedy Mouse” while being recorded. Their recording was then transcribed using phonetic transcription. The learners’ phonological productions were then classified using the chart from the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). The study shows that the Sundanese EFL learners’ phonological production is heavily influenced by their first language.  There are several common mistakes found in the learners’ production of vowels, such as [a] ↔ [Ʌ], [e], [eə], [u:], [ɔ] 2. [ə] ↔ [e], [u], [Ʌ], [ei], [a], [aʊ], [ʊə] 3. [ʊ] ↔[u], [ɔ] 4. [i:] ↔ [I], [e], [ə] 5. [з]→[ei], [e], [ə] 6. [əʊ]→[ə], [ɔ], [ɔi], [u], [з] 7. [æ]→[e], [ei], [a], [ɔ], [i:], [Ʌ] 8. [aʊ]→[u], [a], [ɔ], [ə] 9. [ɒ]→[ə], [a], [ɔ], [e]. MIn the production of consonants, the common mistakes are: 1. [ð] ↔ [d], [h], [t], [ʤ], [ʧ] 2. [ʃ] ↔ [s], [ʧ] 3. [v], [f] →[p] 3. [ʤ]→[k], [ʧ], [g], [r] 4. [ŋ]→[n], [g], [s] 5. [k]→[ʧ], [ŋ] 6. [Ɵ]→[d], [t] 7. [d]→[h], [t], [n], [j], [l] 8. [ʧ]→[t], [ʃ] 9. [j]↔[r] 10. [l]↔[d] 10. [w]→[s], [j] 11. [n]↔[d] 12. [t]→[n], [h]. The results confirm several previous studies which consequently suggests that these learners need specific approach in EFL learning if their target is to be as close as possible to the standard pronunciation of English.

Abstract

This remote classroom action research (CAR) was conducted to improve learning outcomes through CloudX, an application media. The subjects of this study were high school students, XII IPS-3 SMA Negeri 2 Tarakan. They are 33 students, consisting of 12 male students and 21 female students. It was  chosen since the students are solid and easy to cooperate. There are many problems in it, but the students are generally more responsive to the teacher. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles with three teaching meetings in each. Both is designed to improve their learning outcomes using the CloudX. The results of the research prove that through the media can improve the students’ learning outcomes, as evidenced by the data in each aspect of observation. The action imlemented has been proved to have a good impact on the learning process. In the learning outcomes aspect, first cycle of meeting 1 showed 63.6% while in the second cycle of meeting 6 it increased to 90.9%% even though there were still 3 students or 9.1% had not achieved minimum completeness and 1 person was never present from the beginning research until the research is completed. Thus, the students who have not completed will be given remedial in a separate meeting in Google Classroom so as to achieve completeness in learning. Thus, learning using the CloudX has been proved to increase the student learning outcomes. It is recommended for teachers to use the CloudX Application in online learning.

Abstract

The condition of the organizational activity of the Persyarikatan Muhammadiyah at the branch and sub branch level in Purbalingga Regency is very diverse, since there are Muhammadiyah Branches that are advanced but less active, Muhammadiyah branches that have many active Muhammadiyah Sub Branches, and there are also less active Muhammadiyah Branches with less active Muhammadiyah Sub Branches. Interestingly, there are Muhammadiyah Branches which are less active, but have many active Muhammadiyah Sub Branches. In this study, the leadership styles of the advanced Muhammadiyah Branches were investigated, namely the Muhammadiyah Branch Leaders (PCM) Bukateja and PCM Kejobong. Furthermore, the leadership style of the advanced Muhammadiyah Branch can be a guide for the relatively passive sub branches of Muhammadiyah. From the results of the study, it was found that the most dominant types of leadership were the Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PDM), the Head of the Branch and Sub Branch Development Institute (LPCR), and the Head of the Branch, namely the charismatic leadership type, then the democratic leadership type, the leadership type that likes development, and transformational leadership type. Thus, the recommendation is the type of leadership in the Persyarikatan Muhammadiyah Purbalingga Regency needs special attention because currently it is mostly held by the "old generation" who were chosen because they were charismatic. This makes regeneration difficult, unless leadership regeneration has been programmed from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the readiness of families, especially in parents in facilitating language developmnet at home in pandemic era, and to analyze readiness in a complex manner both of facilities and family culture. This research was conducted on 70 parents or guardians of elementary school students. This study used qualitative research method. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman models with the following steps; (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (2) data presentation, and (3) drawing conclusions / verification. Data were collected through observation and interviews. The results of the study were discussed from two aspects of the student language environment, namely the physical and non-physical environments. From these two environments, it can be concluded that there are four principles of literate family, namely 1) The abundance of reading material. 2) Various texts/labeling based on the children's needs. 3) language interaction. 4) Integrated and sustainable activity. From these four principles, it is found that in average, the language interaction in family is high enough only, and this is related to the purpose of formal education. However, the environment and culture of family language have not been built in integrated and sustainable way considering that preparing literate generations in pandemic era must focus on sustainable and integrated processes in order to get long term benefits. So the results of this study are necessary to be used as a reference for parents, schools, and policy makers in preparing schools to study at home.
