Abstract

This research was aimed at improving students softskill on the topic of social system through cooperative discussion and mindscape learning. This action research was done in two cycles and meant to get data on lecturers and student activity as well as the softskill of 45 PGSD students of University Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. The data include their initiatives, integrity, self concept, creativity, critical-thinking ability, commitment, learning motivation. Data was taken through observation and analyzed descriptively to know their learning activities which where categorized from less active to active, while the softskill was categorized from lacking to good. The result showed that lecturers activity which were already good were able to improve the students softskill in the aspect of integrity/ cooperating ability, learning commitment and motivation. The other aspect of students softskill were still in medium level category and needed to be improved. Key words: softskill, cooperative, dan mindscape

Abstract

This study tried to determine the effect on quality of life Facebook and students' academic achievement. A total of 210 samples were taken from three universities with proportional multistage random sampling method, while data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with software lisrel 8.80 (student version). The results showed, although according to the investigators alleged that Facebook had a negative impact on quality of life, but the effect was not significant. This is evident from the t value of -1.90 (less than 1.96). Similarly, the structural equation generated, quality of life and Facebook together provide significant influence on academic achievement (with values of t are respectively 0.69 and -0.92). Abstract

This research was conducted based on the indicators of character education on environmental care which aimed to find out and analyze the school curriculum, the applying process of character education during learning in the class, the implementation, supporting factors, and hampering factors in implementing character education on environmental care. This was a descriptive qualitative research which focused on the indicators that must be achieved by the school and students. The main sources of this research were the school principal, the teachers and students of second and fifth grades. The data were collected using observation, interview, and documentation with the researcher himself as the instrument. The data were then analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The data validity in this research used triangulation technique which was  source  triangulation.  The  results  showed  that  the  implementation  of character education on environmental care was done based on the school curriculum in regular activities, spontaneous activity, exemplary, and conditioning; the applying process of character education during learning in the class and at school;  the  implementation  of character education  could  be  seen  from  eight indicators which had been achieved by the school, six indicators which had been done by low and high-class students. The supporting factors were also found at school in the form of infrastructure and the role of school environment. However, there were also hampering factors such as time issue which caused less maximal implementation and the lack of giving reward to the students who had cared with environment.

Abstract

The research was aimed to observe : 1) nationalism values in history subject, 2) the strategiy nationalism values in teaching learning process in history subject, 3) the handicaps done by teacher in improving nationalism sense, 4) the learning outcome in improving nationalism values by history teacher. The research showed that student established nationalism values such as discipline, honesty, diversity, unity, and congruity. Throught speech, discussion, question and answer, also interesting media, relevant sources, motivation and reinforcement to national movement in Indonesia, the teacher was able to estabilish nationalism spirit for the eleventh graders of social class. Abstract

Weight training aplication and exercise tool must be adjusted with athletecharacteristic that want to be trained, for that needed weight training and use exercisetool that tiered by modify recyle tool that being adjusted. The methode that being use isaction research using Kemmis and McTaggart modhel with planning design,observation, action and reflection. The research result showing the increase of footballdribbling skills. It’s proved by the averages on pra siclus which is 51,0 and thepresentage is 20,8%, at first siclus became 63,9 and the presentage is 54,2% and thesecond siclus increasing became 73,3 and the presentage is 87,5%. So it can beconcluded that aplication of modify recycle tool can increasing football dribbling skill.Because of giving weight training that adjusted with athlete characteristic which wantto be trained can make it easier training proces and the athlete.Keyword: Football dribbling, recycle equipment

Abstract

This research is aimed at finding out whether students’ active learning with discovery approach could improve the students’ understanding of basic science subject. The research used survey method. The population of this research was students who took the subject of Konsep Dasar IPA (the Basic Concept of Science) out of which one class was taken as sample. The data was then analyzed with descriptive technique with the help of graph. The result showed that 72% did not have sufficient understanding about the topic of energy and its transformation which was delivered without the help of learning aid and discussion. After learning aid was and discussion was facilitated by the lecturer, all the subjects of this research expressed their better improved understanding. Discovery method with experiment and discussion is crucial in helping students understand the basic concept of science. Abstract

ABSTRACTEfforts to improve and improve the quality of education in Indonesia have longbeen carried out, including the quality of mathematics education in elementary schools.However, these efforts have not shown satisfactory results. The low achievement ofstudent achievement is due to learning that involves students actively not beingimplemented. Conventional learning that has been carried out until now, teachersdominate learning so much that student involvement in the learning process is stilllacking. In conventional learning, students are no longer the subject of learning but theobject of learning. The initial reflection on the level of students' understanding of theconcept of calculating fractions of class V in SDN 01 Wanarejan Pemalang was still lowwhen compared to other mathematical concepts, this is evidenced by the low averagevalue of the results of the daily calculation of fraction counting concepts, where studentswho get grades under the Minimum completeness Criteria there are still 73.9%, and theclass average is only 57.65 still far below the national completeness limit. This studyapplies learning activities using the STAD type Cooperative Approach. In cycle I andcycle II, the improvement in learning the concept of fraction calculation has succeededin increasing students' affective value in the components of discussion activity, questionactiveness, and question answering activity. The results of the assessment of cognitiveaspects also occurred a significant increase from the initial average value of 57.65 to67.09 in the first cycle and 70.22 in the second cycle. And when viewed from thepercentage of completeness also an increase from 26.1% to 69.6% in the first cycle and87.0% in the second cycle.Keywords: cooperative approach, STAD, fraction calculation.

Abstract

This study is based on reality in quite a number of students who have been married STAIN Pekalongan. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors underlying the marriage occurred among students STAIN Pekalongan and wanted to know if there is a difference between the academic achievement of students before and after marriage. Randomly selected sample of students who had been married STAIN. Method of data analysis is to use factor analysis and paired sample t test. The results showed, of 17 factors (variables) are proposed, elected to 12 significant factors underlying the decision to get married students. Furthermore the factors of 12 are four main factors (principal component) is formed as follows: (a) Religion and Mass Media with variables: eager to have offspring (children) (0.532), Worry be a spinster / exposed disgrace (0,529), unceasing information about sex from Mass Media (0.773), Effect of television shows (0.865), Effect of pornography (0.836), (b) interests in Business, with a variable: For the purpose of smooth business (0.969), to strengthen business networks (0.949), (c ) Economics and culture, with a variable: For the solution of economic problems (0.540), Effect of culture/ tradition (0,692), Ready to build lives of Household (-0.851), (d) Social, with variables: Fear happen adultery (0,700), Already work (0.755). Results of statistical analysis paired t test showed no significant difference between the academic achievement before she married after marriage. This is evident based on the t test produces p-value (probability value) of 0.761 (more than 0,05).

Abstract

Teaching challenges today require that teachers be able to present interesting learning media innovations. Likewise, in history learning, it is necessary to use innovative media so that students have an interest and interest in historical material. The Indonesian National History course I am a course that allows the use of teaching materials in the form of sticker album media. Broadly speaking, media can be humans, materials, or events that cause students to be able to acquire knowledge, skills or attitudes. The media complements other media in the form of textbooks as well as a learning environment in the form of a campus environment and its infrastructure and facilities. After analyzing the results of interviews and observations, the presence of learning media in the form of sticker albums is quite effective in facilitating lecture activities in general and facilitating the assessment of student assignments in particular. More than that, its presence can make history learning activities not monotonous in the sense that learning activities are centred on lecturers who use the lecture method while students listen passively.

Abstract

The general objective of classroom action research is to improve student learning outcomes in Indonesian language teaching while the specific goal to improve students' skills in making simple sentences through Learning Model Picture and Picture-Based Local Wisdom in Class III State Elementary School Kalisube first semester of school year 2015 / 2016. Subjects were all third grade students of State Elementary School District of Banyumas Kalisube first semester of academic year 2015/2016 the number of students 31 students consisting of 17 male students and 14 female students. Implementation of Class Action Research through two cycles of the first cycle and the second cycle. Research shows that learning outcomes Indonesian material to make a simple sentence on the initial conditions is very low at an average value only reaches 72.1 class that is still under KKM (limit class completeness) are 75. Then once held the action in the first cycle by means teaching teachers use learning model Picture and Picture-Based Local Wisdom average value that was originally only 72.1 rose to 74 as well as learning the liveliness of 61.3%. After holding action on the second cycle with the teacher in the learning using learning model Picture and Picture- Based Local Wisdom with some pictures of puppet characters Banyumas held by all the students the value of the average grade in the first cycle 74 rose to 95 and activeness study reached 87, 1%. The conclusion in the classroom action research based on the study of theory and empirical data turns with use of the learning model Picture and Picture-Based Local Wisdom increased.
