Abstract

The subject of Citizenship Education (PKn) is basically as charactereducation for students. The character of students as Indonesian citizens.Character values built on students are based on the conditions set by the Centerfor Curriculum of the Ministry of National Education, including: Religious,Honest, Tolerance, Discipline, Hard Work, Creative, Independent, Democratic,Curiosity, National Spirit, Love of the Motherland , Respect for Achievement,Friendly / Communicative, Love Peace, Love to Read, Care for the Environment,Social Care, and Responsibility. Research methods in this study include: Datacollection using: Interviews, observations, documentation. Data analysis,namely qualitative analysis with stages of data reduction, data display, and dataconclusions. The results of the study show that Civics Education learning usingthe Project Citizen model can build / instill the value of UMP student characters.The student character values include religious, creative, curiosity, hard work,democratic, responsibility, tolerance, respect for achievement, friendship/communicative, fond of reading, caring for the social and natural environment.Keywords: Character, Project Citizen, Citizenship Education

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe ability to argue is an ability that needs to be mastered by students to pass ontheir knowledge to others. This study aims to develop a test instrument for theability to argue on impulse and momentum material. The test instrument wasadapted from the Toulmin's Argument Pattern (TAP) model. This researchincludes research and development by taking a 3-D model that is define, design,and develop. A total of five items of description are made based on indicators ofargumentation ability. In the results of expert validation it is obtained that thetest instrument is feasible to be developed by considering the improvement of theitems by expert advice. The results of the development of the whole item is valid,and has a high reliable value of 0.78.Keywords: development of instruments, the ability to argue, impulses andmomentum.

Abstract

The study was based on concerns about the condition of the political dynamics in Indonesia, particularly in relation to the political awareness of the young generation is minimal gain in political education. This research aims to know how the implementation of political education in schools to increase the political consciousness of students. This study used a qualitative approach and descriptive methods of analysis. Data and information gathering techniques used include the study of documentation, interviews, and observations. The results showed that the school as an important component of education, can basically be used as a medium of political education to inculcate and establish the nation's growing political awareness generation, through various forms of educational programs through both political education, student council and extracurricular activities as well as other forms of activities planned incidental or intending to provide political information to students. Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe learning activities using WhatsApp Group as a means of distance learning at SD Negeri Tambaksari and its obstacles. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach conducted by interviewing participants, namely teachers, guardians of students and students. The results showed that low-class teachers opened learning with greetings and high-class teachers did not open learning, material in high and low classes covered all subjects but did not fulfil all learning outcomes, the method used by low and high-class teachers was the assignment method. , the media used by low-class teachers and high-class teachers is a photo feature, assessments conducted by low-class teachers and high-class teachers in the form of online and portfolio based tests, low-class teachers and high-class teachers do not reflect, low-class teachers close learning with giving messages to students and closing greetings while high-class teachers did not close the lesson. The obstacles for teachers in learning using WhatsApp Group include limited quota, limited cellphone storage for guardians of students, teachers find it difficult to determine the method, assignments were given by the teacher through WhatsApp Group make students lazy.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve students’ learning interest and achievement in the subject of Civics Education Learning Media through Brainstorming Techniques using three-dimensional media. This research was classified as a classroom action research consisting of 2 cycles. The object was fourth semester students (class A), Department of Elementary School Teacher Education, University of Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. The students’ number was 45 persons. For analyzing students’ learning interest, the instruments used in the data collection process were questionnaire sheet, the data analysis was done using descriptive qualitative. The indicator was improvement of students’ learning interest and achievement. The research results showed it could improve the students’ learning interest and achievement in the subject. It could be proven by the improvement of students’ learning interest and achievement. In the first cycle, students’ learning interest was 65.36%. It was 77.44% in the second cycle. So, the average score of students’ learning interest was excellent. In addition, it could also improve students’ learning achievement. In the first cycle, the improvement was 71.43%. Abstract

This study aims to improve Master's positive communication skills in early childhood.Subjects in this study were 12 teachers in PAUD Top Kids Sokaraja district. Theresearch was conducted through experimental method. Subjects were subjected to twopositive meetings of positive communication training, with the total number ofmeetings being 8 hours. Data analysis was done by visual inspection technique, on 4measurement of baseline stage, treatment stage 1, treatment stage 2, and follow-upstage. The results of the study prove a significant increase in the positivecommunication skills of the subject, based on the scale of positive communicationskills. In the baseline phase, the average subject has a positive communication skillscore of 33.67 (Enough). In the treatment phase 1, it increased to 38.08 (Enough). Inthe third measurement, ie in the treatment phase 2, increased to 44.41 (Good). In thefollow-up phase it increased to 48.08 (Good).Keywords: positive communication skills, communication training, kindergartenteacher

Abstract

This research is aimed at finding out the impact of academic supervision, teacher’s competence, and discipline towards the performance of teachers of SMA Negeri 3 Slawi, Tegal. This research used survey method. The data was collected using questionnaire and observation. There were 52 teachers as respondents. The data analysis used was percentage, multiple linear regression, F test and t test. The finding was : 1) academic supervision, teacher’s competence and discipline of SMA 3 Slawi teachers were very good, 2) academic supervision, teacher’s competence, and discipline together had impact towards teachers’ performance, 3) academic supervision, teacher’s competence, and discipline separately had impact on teachers’ performance, and 4) discipline had the strongest impact towards teachers’ performance. With this result it is suggested that the Diknas (the regential ministry of education) intensify the academic supervision, continually developing teacher’s competence, and enforcing discipline on teachers and schools. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted based on empirical findings which showed that the problemof the low career orientation of students. Therefore it is necessary to know clearly inaddressing the situation, so that problems related to career orientation experienced bystudents can be analyzed in depth. This study aims to determine the career orientationof the Guidance and Counseling Study Program students. The method used in thisresearch is descriptive method in the form of survey research. Research Subjects arestudents of guidance and counseling study program Academic Year 2019/2020. Basedon the analysis of the data in the study it can be concluded that career orientation isincluded in the sufficient category. This can be interpreted that career awareness, careerexploration, and student career planning are quite good.Keywords : career orientation, student guidance and counseling.

Abstract

The goals this research were to determine: 1). What are the requirements given to prospective players of Kuda Lumping; 2). What material provided and what methods are used in training Kuda Lumping; 3). What is the cost required to conduct training of Kuda Lumping, and from which source. 4). How long does it take to produce players who are ready to perform Kuda Lumping showcased in front of an audience. From the research result shows that: 1. Requirements given to players of Kuda Lumping (Ebeg), are namely: (1) has Kuda Lumping, (2) can dance in group / compact dance, (3) perform the ritual bathing and diving in rivers and (4) conduct ”Ngasrep” or fasting for 3 (three) days without stopping. 2. The practice material was first given to prospective players Kuda Lumping is dance. In practing the dance material, the new dancers were directly guided by the seniors. The method used is by giving examples of dancing by the senior players to prospective players. When giving examples accompanied by gamelan / music, while dancer candidates of Kuda Lumping followed. 3. Fee required for training activities at least IDR 400,000,- (four hundred thousand rupiah). This cost does not include the cost to buy a kuda lumping. Sources of cost comes from the self-help group members of kuda lumping, like dalang ( director of the dance ) and local people. It means the training and activities of Kuda Lumping, did not receive funding / donations from the government, both the village and district governments. The cost for training activities was used to rent the gamelan, to purchase clothing / costume players, “sesaji”, consumption and honorariums. 4. To train / produce, it take a player at least 3.5 (three and a half) months and a maximum of 7 (seven) months. This calculation is based on the starting time of dance exercise, until doing the bath in the river as the last stage.
