Abstract

The development of social media in Bali is prevalent in the era of cyberspace. This happened in Desa Adat Kuta, especially among Sekaa Teruna (youth organization) of Desa Adat Kuta. Kuta is the center of tourism destinations in Bali with a complete tourist facilities, making it the fastest to experience globalization effects compared to other regions. This study aims to determine the effect of social media use on face to face social interaction in Sekaa Teruna of Desa Adat Kuta. This research uses quantitative research method in explanative form and inferential statistic data analysis. The quantitative data was collected by survey method, using questionnaire as main instrument of research. Stratified random sampling was used as sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is a simple linear regression test with data processing using SPSS program computational calculation. The results showed that the use of social media significantly have positive effect on face to face social interaction in Sekaa Teruna Desa Adat Kuta, Badung, Bali. These results indicate that the higher the use of social media then the higher the face to face social interaction on Sekaa Teruna Indigenous Villages Kuta, Badung, Bali.

Abstract

ABSTRAK The title of this research is “the role of leadership communication in maintaining the loyalty of the employees of Titiles in Denpasar, Bali. The aim of this research is to describe the role of leadership communication that has been done by the leader of Titiles, which has increased the loyalty of employees. This research applies descriptive qualitative method. The technique to gather the data in this research is depth interviews, observations and documentary studies. The technique to gather the 4 informants is purposive sampling. Great leadership communication skills that have been applied in Titiles also impacted the encouragement of employee’s loyalty. Through the applications of Barrett’s leadership communication (strategic objective, process, messages and communication staff) and Maslow hierarchy of needs theory principles (physiologies, secured, social, reward and self-conception) have also affected the loyalty of the employees. Abstract

ABSTRACT SMP Negeri 3 Denpasar is one of the high-quality schools. It is proven by its achievements. Motivation to learn is one of the important factors which affects students’ academic performance. In the current study, school guidance counselors at SMP Negeri 3 Denpasar play a necessary role in enhancing students’ motivation to learn. Therefore this study aims to find out the communication of school guidance counselor in enhancing students’ motivation to learn. Descriptive qualitative method was applied to explain the communication process between teachers and students. Data were obtained from a direct and deep interview with the informants. Based on the analysis, it was obtained that school guidance counselors built their credibility as sources of communication through guidance and counseling subject at school. The type of communication which more often occurred was interpersonal because it was considered more effective. Abstract

Stakeholders is a group, individual, or a community which could influence or to be influenced by the organization’s goals. In order to get their goals, some organization put high priority on the stakeholders, it aimed to protect sustainability of the organization. Had a good stakeholders relations was the most important thing to to. D’OZ Radio is an profit organization which put the advertiser as the one of their main stakeholders. Maintained the communication strategy is the most important to do for get the organization’s goals. This research aimed to know which strategy that was used by the Oz Radio Bali, in maintained a good stakeholders relations. This researched used qualitative method which interviewed, observation, and documentary. Base on the result, D’OZ Radio Bali used persuasive strategy and dialogue strategy in maintain their stakeholders relations with the advertiser as the most important stakeholders. Abstract

ABSTRAK Female politicians are often trapped in a condition called double standard that makes them facing difficulty to survive in the world of politics. The struggles of female politician in facing the severity of politics are displayed in a movie called The Iron Lady. The Iron Lady is a movie directed by Phillyda Loyd and played by Meryl Streep. This movie is about one of the most known female politician who were also the Prime Minister of the Great Britain in 1979-1990, Margareth Thatcher. This movie showing the struggle of Margareth Thatcher from her teenage days until she became the Prime Minister from the memories of the old Margareth Thatcher. The Purpose of this research is to know the representation of a female politician from The Iron Lady movie. This research is using qualitative descriptive approach with Peirce’s method of semiotics analysis. The result of this research shows that although The Iron Lady pictured a strong and firm female politician like Margareth Thatcher, this movie is still displaying the feminine side of Thatcher. This movie also shows how a female politicians needs to struggle more to gain recognition, and female politicians also cant get away from the domestic concept of housewives.   Keywords : Female Politicians, Film, Representation, Semiotics

Abstract

ABSTRACT The police in Indonesia are known as Polri or Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia. As law enforcer, the police is the most respected profession of the community. But in fact, when the police are on duty, instead received a lot of negative stigma from the wide community for several reasons. As if responding to these problems, NET. TV collaborated with Polri to produce television program which showing police actions and other information about the humanist side of the police entitled “86”. This study aims to see how television as a mass media that has the most dominant power in influencing the perception of its audience. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of “86” program on NET. TV toward perception of audience in Denpasar city about Polri. This study applies quantitative research method in the form of explanative survey. This survey uses 120 sampels in Denpasar city to be used as research respondents. This research was used purposive sampling as the technique. The data analysis technique used is a simple linier regression test that is proscessed using computational calculation SPSS 23 program. The results showed that exposure of “86” program on NET. TV has a positive impact significanlty toward perception of audience in Denpasar city about Polri. That means when exposure of “86” program on NET. TV increasing, the perception of audience in Denpasar city about Polri will be better. Abstract

ABSTRACT YouTube is the most favorite medium of view. The hgh traffic of YouTube visitors becomes the main attraction for companies to advertise in it. Web series is one of the forms of internet viewing on YouTube. Web series with soft selling technique seeks to create the impression and appeal emotionally so that a brand can be remembered through the terms of stories brought. The web series "Sore" is a web-series of advertised ads and has been watched by over 1 million viewers and was awarded as the Best Branded Video Content of the Year in XYZ Day 2018. The "Sore" web series was created as a method to introduce Tropicana Slim Stevia widely to the public. Basically the essence of advertising activity is to arouse a continuing intention on consumer action. The purpose of this study is to explain the exposure relationship web series "Sore" with the intention to buy Tropicana Slim Stevia on Denpasar Society. This study uses associative quantitative method. The sampling technique used in this research is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling method. The data is obtained by distributing questionnaires. Data analysis technique used in this research is test of construct validity, Cronbach Alpha technique reliability test and correlation test using Pearson Product Moment Correlation technique. The results show that there is a relationship between web exposure series "Sore" with the intention to buy Tropicana Slim Stevia on Denpasar Society. The direction of the relationship between exposure variable web series "Sore" with the intention to buy Tropicana Slim Stevia on Denpasar society depicted the same direction, which means themore people of Denpasar experienced web series "Sore", then the intention of buying of Denpasar people in Tropicana Slim Stevia will be higher. Abstract

ABSTRACTd In 2018, the election of governor and deputy governor ofcBali for the period of 2018-2023 was conducted. Tabanan Regency has the highest electoral participation rate of 81.34%. This research aims to see how Instagram @tribunbali influence the political participation of the novice voters in Tabanan Regency. This research uses quantitative explanatory methods with uses and effects theory. The data analysis technique is a simple linearwregression analysis with SPSS 18 program. The results of this research showed the news of the election of governor and deputywgovernorwof Bali 2018 on Instagram @tribunbali have a positive influence on the political participation of novice voters in Tabanan Regency. When the news of the governor and deputy governor of Bali election on Instagram @tribunbali increased, political participation of novice voters in Tabanan Regency is getting higher. Abstract

ABSTRACT Ads can be defined as a form of activity in communicate, attract attention and persuade some or all of the community to take action in responding to the ideas, goods, or services presented. Variety of ways conducted by advertisers in order to get the attention of prospective customers, one of them by using the object. The woman in the ad is always shown as a figure not far from domestic roles, sometimes also positioned as subordinate to men. But in the further development of various stereotypes of women who are weak are now starting to show changes in positions where women are shown at par with men as in ad Belvita Biscuit Bunga Citra Lestari version Image Sustainably. By using descriptive qualitative approach as well as methods of analysis of semiotics Roland Barthes the results of this research show that the construction of the image of women that is formed is a woman who has a position of equality with male or gender equality. Abstract

ABSTARCT @deliciousbali is one of a culinary account that is well known in Bali based on social media Instagram. The popularity of @deliciousbali account makes it as a reference to Balinese youngster who are confused about finding a place to eat. By this matter, some of culinary entrepreneurs want to advertise their businesses on @deliciousbali account. The purpose of this study is to find out how the advertising strategy of @deliciousbali Instagram account. The research results show that account of @deliciousbali is having 2 services in the process of delivering the advertisement, first of all the photos were prepared and took by @deliciousbali account, and the second one the photos were prepared by the clients.
