Abstract

ABSTRACT The success of the organization in achieving the goals it wants to achieve depends on its leadership. To realize the goals of the organization the leader must communicate effectively with staff . Joger Kata-Kata Factory has been established only 37 and has more than 300 members of the Joger afamily. The purposei of this astudy awas to afind oout how Joger Factory Kata-Word leadership communication in building work motivation from members of the Joger family. This research is a qualitative research - descriptive by using interview data collection techniques, observation and documentation studies and informant determination techniques usingapurposive sampling itechnique. The iresults of ithis istudy show that leaders in building work motivation from members of the Joger Word Factory family by implementing effective leadership communication in accordance with the concepts proposed by Barret and have fulfilled the needs of Joger family members according to maslow's hierarchy of needs theories. Abstract

ABSTRACT The emergence of negative stereotypes about Islam was formed and built by the mass media through the messages it brought, especially after the tragedy of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. One type of mass media is film. As a message conveyor, film has a rather strong effect because it is usually based and inspired from the reality that exists in real life The film that shows American stereotypes of Muslim is the film Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika. This type of research is descriptive-qualitative. Data collection techniques using the study of visual material by examining various signs both verbal and non verbal and then describe it using the semiotics theory of Roland Barthes. The results of this research shows that there are stereotypes of Muslim that are identically with terrorist, the American Islamophobia against Muslim, and then there are discrimination against Muslims. Abstract

ABSTRACT detikcom is the most popular news portal in Indonesia which is accessed by more than 8.7 million Indonesians in a month. This7research7was7conducted7to7find7out7what7the motives and how the satisfaction the people of Denpasar in accessing detikcom. This study uses the TheoryIof1Uses and.Gratifications. The’type of this research is descriptive quantative method and the[samplingVtechniquesusedIwasJpurposive,sampling /technique. The.analytical technique:used in this research is descriptive statistics by looking at the mean score obtained of each motives and satisfaction the people of Denpasar in accessing detikcom. Abstract

ABSTRACT Through the P4GN program (Prevention, Eradication, Illicit Abuse and Circulation of Narcotics) the National Narcotics Agency continues to try to tackle drug problems by carrying out basic tasks and functions in running this program in a comprehensive and multidisciplinary manner. This study aims to determine the communication strategies implemented by the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in disseminating the P4GN program (Prevention, Eradication, Illegal Abuse and Circulation of Drugs) in the City of Denpasar. This study uses qualitative research methods using data collection techniques semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Based on the findings in the field, it can be seen that the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in disseminating the P4GN program (Prevention, Eradication, Misuse and Illicit Circulation of Drugs) in the field of prevention uses several steps in formulating communication strategies, starting from knowing audiences, arranging messages, setting methods, to select media usage. Abstract

ABSTRACT Film is a mass media that presents reality through certain codes and symbols in audiovisual form. There are still many messages contained in a film containing lame gender representations. One of them is the representation of masculinity. In the Bohemian Rhapsody film, Freddie Mercury is portrayed as a man who is metrosexual, likes a luxurious and elegant lifestyle, and is flamboyant. Therefore the aim of the study is to explain the representation of masculinity in the Bohemian Rhapsody film. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative approach with an interpretive constructivist paradigm with Peirce's semiotic analysis method. The result of this study indicates that the representation of masculinity reflected in this film is the masculinity of the 1980s. Freddie Mercury's masculinity of the 1980s was reflected in his metrosexual figure, lavish and elegant lifestyle, and flamboyance in the film. Abstract

ABSTRACT To fulfill the need of information for the hearing im-paired, since 2017 news program in television translation in sign language has been provided. Focus of this study is measure the effectiveness of Redaksi Sore TRANS7 BISINDO on Bali Deaf Community, a community who does socializing BISINDO. This study used Direct Rating Method as indicator and Uses and Effect theory. This study did the instrument testing using validity and reliable test and statistics descriptive analysis. The result is, average score of the effectiveness of Redaksi Sore TRANS7 BISINDO is 69,98 and shows that there are five indicator on DRM that influence the effectiveness, such as attention, readthroughness, cognitive response, affective response, and behavioral response. The primary principlethis theory is whether the users (Bali Deaf Community) receive an effect after using mass media (Redaksi Sore TRANS7 with sign language translator). Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine and identify how forms of interpersonal communication that occur in psychiatrists and mental patients (depression) as well as to know and identify how the communication process barriers that occur in psychiatrists and mental disorders patients (depression). The results show that the SMC clinic uses the principles of therapeutic communication that also has similarities with the basic principles of interpersonal communication, including: therapeutic communication is a transaction process, the relationship in therapeutic communication is seen as a complementary relationship, therapeutic communication has dimensions of content and relationships , therapeutic communication is an adjustment process, therapeutic communication is a series of punctuation events, therapeutic communication is inevitable, irreversible and cannot be repeated. Abstract

ABSTRACT The development of Korean Wave that spread rapidly throughout the world made South Korea utilize this phenomenon to develop their tourism sector. Indonesia as the largest Korean Wave market in Southeast Asia became opportunity for South Korea to promote their tourism. The promotion is uploaded to YouTube to reach audiences. This study is aimed to determine the relationship between exposures of 8 Faces of Korea, 8 Types of Trip tourism advertisement with interest of Denpasar citizen. The sampling method in this research is non-probability purposive-sampling. Primary data was collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents aged 19 to 39 who had seen the advertisements at least once. This study shows that advertisement exposure has a significant and quite strong relationship with the interest of visiting. Relationship between the two variables is unidirectional, which means the more exposure happens to audience, the higher interest to visit. Abstract

ABSTRACT Communication has an important role in life, so also in organizations. The right organizational communication can facilitate management and employees to coordinate with each other. one of the results expected by the company is loyal employees The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which organizational communication plays a role in increasing employee loyalty to Adhi Jaya Hotel Kuta. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method in the positivist paradigm. The results of this study indicate that family communication in the organization applied in Adhi Jaya Hotel Kuta plays an effective role in increasing employee loyalty. Organizational communication that is run in a family manner can provide openness, a sense of comfort when working and still respect each other between superiors and subordinates as well as fellow colleagues who are equal This is a factor in increasing employee loyalty to the company. Abstract

ABSTRACT YouTube as a medium for channeling people’s creativity, It can also be conducted through the internet one of them is through make up tutorial vlog on YouTube in which the contents usually contain complete information steps to apply makeup. Purpose of this research is to study the correlation of exposure towards makeup tutorial vlog on YouTube towards the interest to learn makeup on Denpasar teenagers. This research uses quantitative method. The sample collecting method is non-probability sampling. Data is obtained through questionnaire. The result of this research showed that the correlation of exposure towards makeup tutorial vlog on YouTube towards the interest to learn makeup on Denpasar teenagers indicated as positive and in the same direction, meaning that the more exposed Denpasar teenagers to makeup tutorial vlog on YouTube, the higher the interest of Denpasar teenagers to learn makeup.
