Abstract

Pangeran Antasari St. is a road with a high level of congestion, especially during peak hours. This of course causes cumulation of vehicles which will making queues of vehicles. The congestion and density have caused a lot of shockwaves phenomena in the traffic around Pangeran Antasari St. This study examines the shockwaves in the trip delay which are influenced by the U-turn. The data was collected at Pangeran Antasari St. on October 5, 2020 during 06.00-09.00 am and 15.00-18.00 pm. The types of vehicles observed were Motorcycle (MC), Light Vehicle (LV), and Heavy Vehicle (HV).The shockwaves value obtained using the Greenshield Method of Pangeran Antasari St. at the morning section obtained the shockwaves value with the value of the reverse shockwaves (ωab) = -2284.98 km/h, the reverse shockwaves recovery (ωcb) = -16.2602 km/h, shockwaves forward recovery (ωac) = 55.707 km/h. At the afternoon, the shockwaves value is obtained with the value (ωab) = 3,3706 km/h; reverse shock wave recovery (ωcb) = -10.0224 km/h; forward shock wave recovery (ωac) 5.6654 km/h. The queue length (Qm) that occurs is 0.05 km or 53 m with a normalizing time (T) of 20.4279 seconds.

Abstract

AbstractSide friction are side-road activities that have a significant effect. The high level of roadside activity affects the capacity and performance of roads in an urban area, with the cause of the growing and developing population activity every year. This study uses a method that is guided by the Guidelines for Indonesia's Road Capacity (PKJI 2014).  In this study, the value of side friction on Teuku Umar's road (Advent Hospital – Koga Market) was 567 skr / hour (medium class), while on Imam Bonjol's road (Langkapura) it was 158skr / hour (low class). For the Teuku Umar's road there was a decrease in capacity by 4%, while on the Imam Bonjol's road there was a decrease in capacity by 1%. The cause of congestion on Teuku Umar's road is due to vehicles turning around and vehicles coming in and out of the road, while on Imam Bonjol's road it is due to vehicles going in and out of the road. So that the alternative solution to overcome traffic jams on Teuku Umar's road (Koga market - RS Advent) is to curb motorists who stop carelessly on the road, and set the traffic signs that prohibited from stopping on each side of the road, while on Imam Bonjol's road (langkapura– kemiling) it is necessary to monitor vehicles entering / exiting the alley, because it has the potential to cause long traffic jams. Keywords : Side friction, Guidelines for Indonesia's Road Capacity, Traffic.

Abstract

The development of infrastructure development in Indonesia is increasing in various areas, such as the construction of reservoirs, reservoirs, dams and other constuctions. One of the important things that is the basis of development is land because almost all buildings stand on the ground. Therefore, it is necessary to know the type of soil used and the nature of the soil permeability. Soil permeability describes the ability of the soil to pass water. Soil samples used were soil samples from Pamenang village, Pagelaran sub-district, Pringsewu district. Soil samples taken are disturbed and undisturbed soil samples. The soil is then compacted by the standard method and with the pressure method test apparatus at a pressure of 2,5 MPa, 5 MPa, 7,5 MPa, 10 MPa, 15 MPa, 20 MPa, and 30 MPa, each method has one sample being tested. Furthermore the permeability test was carried out to obtain the permeability coefficient value. Results from observations in the laboratory show that the greater the pressure exerted on the soil, the smaller the permeability coefficient. The relationship between the permeability coefficient and the standard compaction method and the pressure method obtained different permeability coefficient values.Keyword : Soil, Compaction, Pressure and Permeability

Abstract

The behavior of drivers who do not consider the movements of other drivers can cause traffic problems, such as congestion and traffic accidents that can occur on the road. The stagger intersection at Jalan Raden Ajeng Kartini is often crowded with vehicles that can cause congestion. This is due to the behavior of drivers crossing from Cut Nyak Dien road to Lindu road, causing a conflict of delays influenced by weaving movements. The purpose of this research is to analyze the amount of delay due to weaving motion on the Raden Ajeng Kartini road. This study uses an analysis of the gap acceptance approach, to get the big results of vehicle delays caused by weaving motion, the average gap time and critical gap.The results of this study show that the vehicle delay caused by weaving motion is 3.20 seconds and 8.93 seconds in the morning and evening. The average gap time was 82.50 seconds in the morning and 94.36 seconds in the afternoon, while the critical gap was 4.34 seconds in the morning and 3.88 seconds in the afternoon. Keywords: Gap Acceptance, Weaving, Delay.

Abstract

Congestion problems are common in transportation, congestion can be caused by several things. The construction of the flyover is expected to be able to overcome congestion in the long term. This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the flyover construction on the Teuku Umar - ZA Pagar Alam road. This research was conducted during busy hours on Monday at the Teuku Umar road, ZA Pagar Alam and the nearest intersection.. From the results of calculations and analysis, it can be seen that the construction of an elevated bridge has no significant impact on the decomposition of the congestion problem in the Kedaton area and its surroundings, this can be seen from the level of service on all roads in the study area with a value of V / C Ratio <0.75. Meanwhile, the average degree of saturation obtained from the analysis of intersections with signal and no signal> 0.75. Construction of a flyover which illustrates that it will unravel traffic jams, in fact the performance of the flyover and the main road underneath has not increased. This needs to be addressed immediately considering the current traffic flow in Kedaton and its surroundings is already saturated. Therefore, the growth of vehicles is on time, and public transportation facilities need to be improved. So that people begin to switch to public transportation in order to reduce the incidence of congestion on these roads. Keywords : Road Performance, Degree of Saturation, Level of Road Service

Abstract

AbstractThis research was conducted to study the tidal characteristics. The data used in this study are the hourly tide data measured in the field and the tidal data from the BIG with data length from 1985 to 1989 at the Tanjung Priok tidal station, Jakarta Province, Indonesia. This modeling is carried out using a data length of 30 days for a data term of 720. By using the observational data and applying it in the Anfor program which uses the least squares method, produces a tidal periodic model that is obtained using 9 tidal harmonic components. From the results of modeling and measured data it can be seen the correlation coefficient. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the measured tide data components with the BIG tide data components are similar. The average correlation coefficient between the two data sets was 0.9644. From this research it can be seen that the value of the tidal data is said to be very good. Keywords: daily tides, correlation coefficient

Abstract

The flexural strength of rigid pavement is the dominant parameter that influences the concrete pavement performance. In general, concrete is weak against its flexural tensile strength. One alternative that can be used to increase its flexural tensile strength is by adding artificial fibers and/or natural fibers to the concrete mixture. The purpose of this research is to find the effect of adding gelam bark fibers towards compressive strength, split tensile strength, and flexural strength of concrete using PCC cement. In this study, the concrete mixture was added with various percentages of fiber content i.e. 0,2%; 0,3%; 0,4%; 0,6%. The concrete was tested and compared its value of compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength. The results of this study showed that the most influential use of fiber for concrete pavement was 0,4%. The addition of gelam bark fiber by 0,4% could increase the tensile strength of the concrete mixture aged 28 days and 56 days respectively by 6,95% and 23.72% toward the concrete without fibers. The testing of concrete at 28 days age results the split tensile strength value decreased by 4,2% and the compressive strength test decreased by 4,7%.Keywords: Gelam bark fiber, PCC cement, OPC cement, flexural tensile strength, split tensile strength and compressive strength

Abstract

Continuous waves crashing into the coastal area can cause abrasion on the coast and damage facilities and settlements in the area. Therefore, a coastal protection building is needed to reduce wave energy before arriving at the beach such as a breakwater. To design a breakwater it is necessary to pay attention to wave deformation, one of which is wave diffraction. Where the wave when obstructed by an obstacle will bend around the end of the obstacle and enter the protected area behind it. The complex phenomena of nature are described in terms of equations, but they are difficult to solve analytically. So in this study solved numerically with the help of a computer with 2D wave simulation software based on the principle of the hyperbolic equation propagation model. Then get the results in the form of diffraction coefficient values that are close to the results obtained in the physical model research that has been carried out. Changes in wave height occur after passing through the breakwater which indicates a change in energy from before and after passing through the breakwater.
