Abstract

This article seeks to identify the barriers to employment, as well as the opportunities and rights fulfilment for those with physical impairments in the City of Bandung during the Covid-19 period. It's intriguing to talk about the chances and difficulties people have; they worry about obtaining work in the Covid-19 era. The descriptive qualitative approach of data analysis employed in this study refers to the events that occurred and data collection methods using interviews, observations, and documentation. By interviewing 22 people with physical disabilities in the city of Bandung. The results of the article show that labor absorption and policies to fulfil the right to work for people with physical disabilities in Bandung City have not been optimal, with six challenges faced, including limited information related to employment and training, low self-confidence, negative stigma, educational background, job opportunities and skills. On the other hand, there are four opportunities for people with physical disabilities in the city of Bandung to find work, including the government monitoring the absorption of workers with disabilities, the availability of job seekers applications, the ability to work for people with physical disabilities and the implementation of training programs.

Abstract

Agriculture and climate change have a complex causal relationship. The agricultural sector produces large amounts of Green House Gases (GHG) such as CH4, CO2, and N2O which affect the climate. One of the consequences of climate change is an increase in rainfall. This has caused 2,971.51 ha of submerged and damaged rice fields in the Tabalong District. This study aims to determine the climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies of the agricultural sector in the Tabalong District. Emission measurements and mapping of the distribution of GHG emissions are shown to support strategy determination. The GHG inventory is calculated using the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry method, mapping the distribution of emissions using the geographic information system method, and determining the best adaptation and mitigation strategies using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with Expert Choice Software. The results showed that GHG emissions from the agricultural sector of the Tabalong District until 2030 amounted to 191,384 tCO2e / year.  There are five Sub-districts identified as the largest GHG-producing districts from the mapping of the distribution of GHG. The results of the AHP synthesis show that there are three strategies for climate change adaptation and four strategies for climate change mitigation

Abstract

Earned Value Management (EVM) is a method used to monitor and to predict project completion time. This method uses a linear approach in predicting project time completion. Unfortunately, most of the projects run in dynamic environments with complex characteristics, causing project progress to require a non-linear approach. That is why the use of EVM in monitoring and predicting non-linear project completion time is less effective. This study proposes a more realistic alternative approach using non-Linear EVM based on the Support Vector Regression (SVR) - Growth Model. The SVR-growth model is used to accommodate the non-linear progress of the project, while the EVM is used to represent the predicted results of the project completion time. For model validation, 5 data on oil and gas field development construction projects in Jawa, Bali and Nusa Tenggara Regions were used as case studies. The results of this study indicate that the results of project completion time prediction using the SVR-Growth Model provide high accuracy and precision compared to the traditional EVM method

Abstract

Development is a social process that aims to enhance the environment and the quality of communal life. Sustainability happens as a result of the environment serving as a living space and a source of additional value. The following environmental factors must be integrated into a development plan: biogeophysics, social, economic, cultural, and public health. PT PERTAMINA (Corporate Company) in collaboration with Rosneft Oil Company will build and operate a new oil and petrochemical integrated refinery and its supporting facilities. About 27,000 people were hired for the building phase, and about 3,000 for the operation phase. This study aims to lessen the detrimental effects of development plans on public health. This qualitative study is a cross-sectional descriptive investigation of the area surrounding the proposed refinery in East Java Province, Indonesia's Jenu District and Tuban Regency. The study's findings were determined through firsthand observation and a poll of 100 residents who would be impacted by the development plan. The findings show that, in order to prevent environmental disputes, environmental management and monitoring must be carried out.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the most effective tools for economic development. According to Haryana, 4.5% of Indonesia's total GDP was significantly contributed to by tourism in 2018. The World Economic Forum ranked Indonesia 40th in the Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index (TTCI) out of 140 countries in 2019. Nonetheless, this contribution decreased significantly during the covid-19 pandemic outbreak in 2020. Mursalin et. al. argued that the tourism industry was hardest hit by the pandemic's impact on economic growth. Understanding this phenomenon, it became intriguing to investigate the gradual tourism revival and livelihood assets of local tourism-based enterprise in Wisata Lembah Mbencirang by the Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDES). This study's objectives included identifying and analyzing the core problematization and livelihood assets of locally based entrepreneurship, as well as its community impact. This study was conducted in Kebontunggul Village, Mojokerto, East Java. This study employed a variety of methods. Several analytical tools, including pentagon assets and sustainable livelihood assets, were utilized. The results demonstrated that local entrepreneurship had both positive and negative effects on communities. The vulnerability context that shook people's livelihoods must be overcome by bolstering social and human capitals to maintain resilience, as well as the government's commitment to enhancing policies pertaining to locally-based entrepreneurship. In conceiving and ensuring sustainability, the community implemented a variety of livelihood strategies through adaptation. When feasible, livelihood adaptation would continue, and incomes would increase.

Abstract

Since 2010, National Character Development has been a program. This nationwide initiative faces fairly significant issues due to the dynamics and changes in the life patterns of individuals. To revitalize the national program, the national movement of mental revolution was then established in 2016. This program's implementation was crucial, but it did not appear to have a precise evaluation system to measure its success. Therefore, a system of evaluation that could generate index documents of the success rate was required. Social Piety Index was the community behavior survey that had been conducted (Indeks Kesalehan Sosial-IKS). This survey examined the level of social piety and produced a document with an index of accomplishments. Consequently, the IKS record may be utilized as a depiction of the evolution of the community's character. Utilizing a quantitative approach with statistical analysis, the survey method employed was quantitative. The acquired result revealed that both the knowledge and attitude data were strong, but the level of correlation between the two was poor. The combination of a high piety index and a low correlation suggested that it was necessary to address additional concerns. These additional characteristics required specialized investigation to be revealed. The establishment of the IKS was essential, particularly if it served as an evaluation system and measuring tool for the accomplishment of national character building.
