Abstract

Much empiric research had been conducted on the antecedents of employee organizational commitment. However, there is still less research that examines the effect of HR management praxis, such as performance appraisal systems, career planning systems, and employee participation on organizational commitment. In this study, I tested the impact of these three variables in explaining employee work commitments in the banking sector in West Java. Based on a survey of 98 employees in 20 private banks in West Java, this study uses regression analysis, correlation analysis, and G-test to test hypotheses. The results showed that the performance appraisal system, career planning system and employee participation significantly influence employee work commitment. This result also indicates that the level of organizational commitment of employees in the private banking sector in West Java is low. Therefore, this study suggests that for employees to be genuinely committed to their work, companies must make objective efforts in managing performance appraisals, career planning, and employee participation to ensure effective implementation and to achieve expected results. Keywords: performance appraisal system, career planning, employee participation, organisational commitment

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of lean manufacturing practices on profitability mediated by inventory minimization in the electronics and automotive industries in Indonesia. Given the critical role of lean manufacturing and inventory minimization to increase a company's profitability, a company needs to implement lean manufacturing practices to eliminate waste at the operational level. A low but adequate inventory level will reduce costs borne by the company to contribute to the company's profitability. This research is a replication of Nawanir et al. (2013) study. In the current study, the samples taken were 204 large manufacturing companies that refer to the 2015 Indonesian Standard Business Field Classification (KBLI), with codes KBLI 26 and 29. Company data were obtained from a directory provided by the Data and Information Center of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia (Pusdatin Ministry of Industry). Hypothesis testing using the Partial Least Square technique (smartPLS 3.0 software) shows that lean manufacturing practices implemented as a whole by the company especially in the electronics and automotive industries can minimize inventory and ultimately contribute positively to the company's profitability. Keywords: electronic and automotive industries, inventory minimization, lean manufacturing, profitability

Employees with the status of civil servants in the medical department at Bangkinang Hospital totaling 100 people, and all of them participated in this study. Hypothesis testing is done by using the F test and t test obtained from the multiple linear regression equation model. The conclusion of this study is that compensation and workload variables have a significant effect on the performance of medical employees with civil servant status at Bangkinang Hospital, both together and individually. Abstract

To retain the best talent in order to stay in the Accounting Services Office (ASO), good human resource management is an important part to compete with competitors through its accountants, especially in Pekanbaru city. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Green Human Resources Management (GHRM) on turnover intention. The data collection method used in this study was through a questionnaire that was distributed to 122 accountants at KJA in Pekanbaru City which would be tested for the feasibility of the questionnaire before further analysis. The data analysis method used path analysis and sensitivity tests. The results of this study indicate that green training and development, green compensation, and green performance assessment each have a positive and significant effect on green organizational commitment. The variables of green training and development, green compensation, green performance assessment, and green organizational commitment each have a negative and significant effect on turnover intention. Sensitivity testing also showed consistent results. Green performance assessment has the biggest direct and indirect effect on turnover intention. Organizations pay attention to objectivity in evaluating employee performance so as not to lose the best employees in the organization. Organizations must also pay attention to green organizational commitment because it can mediate the three exogenous variables on turnover intention. Organizations must be able to maintain the commitment that has been embedded in the minds of employees so that they want to remain in the organization. Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence copper prices in the international market. The data used is monthly starting from January 2005 to December 2019. The variables are Copper price, Industrial Producer Index (IPI), Producer Price Index (PPI), Fed Rate, Consumer Price Index (CPI), New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), Oil Price, and Gold Price sourced from the internet. The research data was processed using the VECM method with Eviews 10 software. From data processing, the results were obtained: there is a two-way causality relationship between CPI and copper prices, gold prices and IPI have a one-way causality relationship to copper prices, and copper prices have a one-way causal relationship to PPI. The shock that occurred in the IPI variable gave the largest impulse response in the short and long term to the copper price in addition to the shock that occurred by the copper price itself. The shock was given by the fed rate, gold price, and CPI only gives an impulse response effect in the long term. In the short term, the largest decomposition variance was contributed by IPI and the price of copper itself, while in the long term the largest decomposition variance was contributed by IPI, fed rate, gold price, CPI, and also the price of copper itself. From the results of the study, it was concluded that IPI, Fed Rate, gold price, and CPI variables were the most influential factors in changes in copper prices. Keywords: causality, copper price, impulse response, variance Decomposition, VECM
