Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menggali proses resiliensi istri yang suaminya sakit dan tidak bisa bekerja, serta menghadapi peran baru sebagai caregiver dan pencari nafkah tunggal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi. Informan penelitian berjumlah dua orang wanita dewasa madya yang suaminya sakit kronis sehingga mengalami kebutaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa informan memiliki kesadaran, penerimaan, dan komitmen untuk berjuang di awal suaminya sakit. Dalam perjuangannya, terdapat beberapa faktor risiko internal seperti kekhawatiran dan kelelahan dalam bekerja, serta faktor risiko eksternal seperti peran baru sebagai caregiver, pencari nafkah tunggal, kekhawatiran suami, dan prasangka oleh tetangga. Terdapat juga faktor protektif internal berupa ketangguhan yang juga mendukung resiliensi, dan faktor protektif eksternal, yaitu dukungan. Faktor protektif ketangguhan meliputi regulasi emosi, strategi koping, empati; aspek komitmen, seperti membantu orang lain; serta aspek tantangan, seperti tekun dan inisiatif. Informan juga mampu mengintegrasikan proses resiliensi keluarga, bersyukur, dan memiliki kesejahteraan yang baik.Kata kunci: Resiliensi, caregiver, kepuasan pernikahan Abstract: The purpose of this study is to get information about resilience process of wives with sick husband that can’t work, so they have new role as caregiver and become the sole breadwinner. This study used qualitative method with phenomenology design. There are two participants, both are middle adulthood with blind husband because of chronic illness. The result shows that participants have awareness, acceptance, and commitment to struggle in the beginning of their husband’s sickness. In struggle, there are internal risk factors like worries and tiredness at work, and also external risk factors like new role as caregiver, sole breadwinner, husband’s fears, and neighbor’s prejudice. There are also internal protective factors like hardiness which is predict resilience and external defensive factor like support. Hardiness include emotional regulation, coping strategy, and empathy; commitment aspect such as helping others; and challenge aspect such as persevering and initiative. Participants can also integrate the family resilience process, always be graceful, and have a good well-being.Keyword: Resilience, caregiver, marital satisfaction

Abstract

Abstrak: Pandemi Covid-19 memberikan dampak terhadap perubahan sistem pembelajaran menjadi dalam jaringan (daring) atau Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ), sehingga menimbulkan tantangan baru bagi guru. Untuk menghadapi tantangan tersebut, motivasi mengajar dibutuhkan oleh sebagai tenaga pendidik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran motivasi mengajar guru SMP pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah nonprobability-criterion sampling dan snowball sampling. Partisipan yang terlibat sebanyak 136 guru SMP di Jakarta. Analisis data yang dipaparkan berupa statistic deskriptif dan uji analisis menggunakan Independent-Sample T-Test, dan Mann-Whitney U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi mengajar guru SMP di masa pandemi Covid-19 cenderung tinggi, namun masih terdapat sebesar 34.6% guru SMP yang tidak termotivasi untuk mengajar di masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini juga menemukan terdapat perbedaan regulasi motivasi mengajar pada guru SMP ditinjau dari tahap usia, pendapatan, serta jenis sekolah tempat guru mengajar. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama termotivasi untuk mengajar selama masa pandemi Covid-19.Kata kunci: Motivasi mengajar, guru, Covid-19 Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic has brought an impact on changing the learning system into a network (online) or distance learning, causing new challenges for teachers. To face these challenges, teaching motivation is needed by teachers as educators. This study aimed to provide an overview of the teaching motivation of junior high school teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research type was descriptive quantitative. The data collection techniques used were nonprobability-criterion sampling and snowball sampling. Participants involved in this study were 136 junior high school teachers in Jakarta. Descriptive Statistics were used in this study and analysis using Independent-Sample T-Test, and Mann-Whitney U were also used. The results of this study indicated that the teaching motivation of junior high school teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic tends to be high, but there are still 34.6% of junior high school teachers who are not motivated to teach during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study also found that there were differences in teaching motivation regulations for junior high school teachers in terms of age, income, and the type of school where the teacher taught. Thus, it can be concluded that teachers in Junior High School are motivated to teach during the Covid-19 pandemic.Keywords: Teaching motivation, teacher, Covid-19.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan sales performance sebelum dan setelah pelatihan optimisme pada karyawan penjualan di PT. “X” Bandung. Jumlah partisipan penelitan sebanyak 11 orang. Desain yang digunakan adalah Single Group Pretest-Posttest Studies dengan analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon sign rank. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala Sales performance yang disusun berdasarkan teori Babakus dkk. (1996). Pelatihan optimisme disusun berdasarkan teori Seligman (1990). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan sales performance, baik secara keseluruhan maupun per dimensi, antara sebelum dan setelah pelatihan optimisme dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,003 (p 0,05). Perbedaan tersebut mengarah pada peningkatan skor sales performance pada masing-masing responden setelah diberikan pelatihan, sehingga dapat dikatakan pelatihan optimisme dapat meningkatkan sales performance karyawan penjualan PT. “X” Bandung. Bagi pihak perusahaan diharapkan memberikan kesempatan karyawan untuk mengembangkan perilaku dan hasil kerja, memberikan review hasil kerja dan umpan balik atas review tersebut.Kata kunci: Optimisme, sales performance, karyawan penjualan Abstract: This study aimed to determine the difference of sales performance before and after optimism training in PT. “X” Bandung. The respondent were 11 salespeople. The design used Single Group Pretest-Posttest Studies with Wilcoxon sign rank Test to analyze data. The instrument used was Sales performance Scale that conducted from Babakus et al. (1996) theory. Optimism training was conducted from Seligman (1990) theory. There was 37 valid items and the reliability coefficient was 0,919. The results showed a difference in sales performance both overall and dimension of sales performance before and after giving optimism training, with the value of signifance was 0,003 (p 0,005). This result means Sales performance increased training. It could be concluded that optimism training can improve sales performance in salespeople at PT. “X’. The company has to provide employees the opportunity to develop behavior and work results, provide a review and feedback of work.Keywords: optimism, sales performance, salespeople

Abstract

Abstract: Drug addiction is considered as a global epidemic which drastically affects millions of people worldwide, damaging an individual’s physiological, social, and psychological facets. One of the constructs that has been determined as an essential factor in the development of a variety of addictive behaviors is self-regulation. It plays an important role in predicting, maintaining, and treating addiction. In this study, the efficacy of Desensitization of Triggers and Urge Reprocessing (DeTUR), an Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) addiction protocol, in improving self-regulation was tested among fourteen (14) in-house clients of two drug treatment and rehabilitation centers using sequential explanatory mixed method research design wherein Self-regulation Inventory-Short Version (SRI-S) and individual interviews were employed. Results explicitly proved that self-regulation scores obtained significantly differed before, after, and even the delivery of delayed posttest using the EMDR as an intervention. The study confirmed that EMDR enhances the clients’ self-regulations (Overall SRI) and the sub-areas: positive actions, controllability, expressions of feelings and needs, assertiveness, and well-being seeking. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini  bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembentukan resiliensi pada pekerja seks transpuan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah tiga pekerja seks transpuan yang telah sepenuhnya atau sebagian membuka identitas seksualnya pada orang tua. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara tatap-muka secara mendalam. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa tantangan hidup mereka yang paling berat adalah  memberitahu orang tua mengenai identitas seksual mereka sebagai transpuan dan pekerjaan mereka sebagai pekerja seks yang berpotensi membahayakan kehidupan mereka. Untuk menangani berbagai tantangan tersebut, partisipan mencoba mencari berbagai sumber daya dan kekuatan yang ada dalam diri mereka. Selain itu mereka juga mengandalkan dukungan keluarga dan rekan sebaya di Sanggar SWARA. Keberhasilan membangun daya lenting (resiliensi) dalam dirinya dan menggalang dukungan sosial akan menentukan kesiapan mereka untuk menghadapi  berbagai tantangan tersebut.Kata kunci:  Resiliensi, transpuan, pekerja seks, pendekatan fenomenologi Abstract: This study aims to describe resiliency process on male-to-female transgender sex workers. This research employed a phenomenological approached implemented through a qualitative methodology. Participants in this study were 3 MTF female transgender sex workers who had fully or partially disclosed their identities. Data was collected through one-on-one interview. The results indicated that the challenges that all participants had to deal with was disclosing their sexual identity to family members and their commercial sex work that potentially might have life threatening consequences. To resolve those challenges, participants resorted to their inner strength and mobilize external psychosocial support from family members and peer group in the workplace and Sanggar SWARA. Successful attempt in developing inner resilience and social supports would prepare them to deal with life adversities.  Keywords: Resiliency, male-to-female transgender, female transgender, sex worker, phenomenological approach

Abstract

Abstrak: Lansia adalah individu yang berada pada tahap akhir rentang hidup manusia yang diharapkan dapat mencapai successful aging, termasuk lansia yang tinggal di panti wreda. Terdapat berbagai faktor yang memengaruhi successful aging. Dua prediktor penting yang diduga berhubungan dengan  successful aging adalah resiliensi dan hardiness. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuktikan apakah resiliensi dan hardiness secara simultan dapat menjadi prediktor succesful aging lansia yang tinggal di panti wreda. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan Skala Successful Aging, Skala CD-RISC, dan Skala Short Hardiness. Partisipan dipilih secara purposive sampling dengan jumlah 26 lansia yang tinggal di Panti Wreda Salatiga. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan regresi berganda. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa successful aging pada lansia dapat diprediksi oleh resiliensi (b=0,498; p0,05) dan hardiness (b=0,477; p0,05) secara simultan. Resiliensi dan hardiness secara simultan merupakan faktor penting untuk mencapai successful aging pada lansia yang tinggal di panti wreda. Implikasi hasil penelitian ini dibahas lebih lanjut oleh peneliti.Kata kunci: Successful aging, resiliensi, hardiness, lansia, panti wreda Abstract: Elderly are the individual who are at the last stage in the human life span who are expected to achieve successful aging, including the elderly who live in nursing home. There are various factors that affect successful aging. Two important predictors that are expected to be associated with successful aging are resilience and hardiness. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of resilience and hardiness simultaneously to successful aging in elderly who live in nursing home. This study uses a quantitative approach and the data collected using the Successful Aging Scale, CD-RISC Scale, and Short Hardiness Scale. The participants was selected using  purposive sampling with a total of 26 elderly who live in nursing home, Salatiga. The collected data were analyzed using multiple regression. The analysis showed that successful aging in the elderly can be predicted by resilience (b=0.498; p0.05) and hardiness (b=0.477; p0.05) simultaneously. The resilience and hardiness simultaneously are important factors to achieve successful aging in elderly who live in nursing home. The implications of the results of this study are discussed further by the researcher.Keywords: Successful aging, resilience, hardiness, elderly, nursing home

Abstract

Abstrak: Pandemi Covid-19 telah menyebabkan kerugian yang sangat besar. Hal ini juga berdampak pada masalah-masalah psikologis yang dialami oleh masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui dampak psikologis Covid-19 pada masyarakat Jambi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survei terbuka. Analisis dilakukan dengan kategorisasi, axial coding, persentase, dan deskripsi. Responden penelitian sebanyak 564, yang merupakan warga Jambi, terdiri dari masyarakat umum, tenaga medis, dan ibu hamil. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada beberapa dampak Covid-19 terhadap kondisi psikologis masyarakat Jambi, diantaranya; cemas, stres, takut, perasaan tertekan, dan panik. Beberapa penyebab masyarakat mengalami stres dan masalah psikologis yaitu tidak bisa beraktivitas, pembelajaran terhambat, banyaknya berita hoax, masalah ekonomi, ibadah terganggu, kebosanan, kasus positif meningkat, takut tertular Covid-19, dan tidak bisa refreshing. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan persepsi terkait isolasi mandiri, kegiatan produktif di rumah, layanan kesehatan mental, tugas Psikolog dalam membantu masyarakat, dan upaya preventif yang dilakukan masyarakat Jambi secara mandiri.Kata Kunci: Dampak psikologis, Covid-19, JambiAbstract: Covid-19 pandemic has caused enormous losses. This also has an impact on the psychological problems. The objective is the psychological impact of Covid-19 on Jambi Society. This research was conducted using an open ended questionnaire, the analysis was done by categorization, axial coding, percentage, and description. The respondents in this study were the people of Jambi Province 564 respondents. This study shows the effects of Covid-19 on people psychologically, specifically anxiety, stress, fear, pressure, and panic. Several things that make the community experience such as psychological problems are incapable of doing daily activities, obstruction of the learning process, the number of hoaxes gets higher, economic problems, interrupted worship activities, boredom, a number of positive Covid-19 cases gets higher, people are also afraid to get contracted by the virus and society is unable to de-stress. Besides this study also revealed the perception such as independent isolation, productive activities at home, mental health services, the task of psychologists in helping the community, and other preventive efforts.Keywords: Psychological impact, Covid-19, Jambi

Abstract

Abstrak: Pertemanan pada tahapan usia remaja awal sering kali didominasi oleh tekanan negatif dari teman sebaya yang dapat meningkatkan adanya kemungkinan permasalahan adaptasi dan perilaku di masa depan. Saat pandemi COVID-19 terjadi dan remaja tidak perlu bertemu secara langsung, tekanan sebaya ini masih terus terjadi. Penelitian ini adalah sebuah pelatihan kelompok berbasis daring yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menolak secara asertif pada remaja yang menghadapi tekanan negatif teman sebaya. Enam siswa (usia 12-13 tahun) menjadi partisipan penelitian ini. Mereka mengikuti lima sesi pelatihan kelompok online yang masing-masing berdurasi 60 menit. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi-eksperimen, dan hasil skor dianalisis menggunakan Friedman’s test. Sebagai hasilnya, keterampilan menolak dan berperilaku asertif meningkat setelah adanya pelatihan ini. Partisipan juga menujukkan rasa lebih percaya diri untuk mengaplikasikan keterampilan menolak asertif di kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu, kami menyarankan penggunaan pelatihan ini untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menolak asertif.Kata kunci: keterampilan menolak asertif, tekanan negatif teman sebaya, pelatihan kelompok daring Abstract: Friendships in early adolescent are usually dominated by negative peer pressure. This conceivably develop adjustment and behavioral problems in the future. This peer pressure is still happening even when adolescents do not meet regularly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This research was an online group training aimed to enhance assertive refusal skills in adolescents exposed to negative peer pressure. Six students in their seventh grade (age 12-13) took part in this research. They participated in a five session of 60-minutes online group training. This research was a quasi-experimental research, and the scores of refusal skills and assertive skills were analyzed using Friedman’s test. As a result, participants’ refusal and assertive skill increase after participating in this training. Participants also reported that they felt more confident to apply assertive refusal skills in their daily lives. Thus, this we suggested that this online intervention could be used to increase adolescents’ assertive refusal skills. Keywords: assertive refusal skill, negative peer pressure, online group training

Abstract

Abstrak : Mahasiswa terkadang berperilaku seperti kurang antusias dengan kegiatan kemahasiswaan yang diadakan oleh universitas, sering tidak menghadiri perkuliahan tanpa alasan, dan kadang berperilaku yang tidak sesuai dengan nilai-nilai organisasi. Hal ini dapat mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat masalah dengan rasa memiliki mahasiswa terhadap sekolah (sense of school belonging). Rasa syukur (gratitude) mahasiswa terhadap universitas dapat menjadi faktor yang mempengaruhi rasa memiliki mahasiswa terhadap universitas. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan gratitude dan sense of school belonging. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif korelasional. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 254 mahasiswa yang sedang menempuh pendidikan di berbagai perguruan tinggi di wilayah Madiun. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Tes Rasa Syukur dan Apresiasi (GRAT) Bentuk Pendek dan Skala Kepekaan Psikologis Sekolah (PSSM). Hasil penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa besar koefisien regresi standar b=0,323 dengan signifikansi p0,05. Variabel gratitude terbukti berhubungan dan dapat memprediksi variabel sense of school belonging. Implikasi hasil penelitian ini dibahas lebih lanjut oleh peneliti.Kata kunci: Sense of school belonging, gratitude, mahasiswa Abstract: Students sometimes behave like they are not enthusiastic about student activities held by the university, absent in classes without reason, and their behavior do not fit the organizational values. These show that there is might a problem with the students' sense of school belonging. The students’ gratitude regarding their university can be a factor that affects the students' sense of school belonging. Therefore, this study aims to determine the relationship between gratitude and sense of school belonging. The research method used in this research is quantitative method. The subjects of this research were 254 students who are studying in different university in the Madiun Region. The data was collected using the Gratitude Resentment and Appreciation Test (GRAT) Short Form and the Psychological Sense of School Membership Scale (PSSM). This study was analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. Data analysis showed that the standardized regression coefficient b=0.323 with a significance p0.05. Gratitude is proven to be related and can predict the sense of school belonging. The implications of the results of this study are discussed further by the researcher.Keywords: Sense of school belonging; gratitude; college students

Abstrak: Perilaku prososial mempunyai dampak positif bagi anak-anak. Namun, masih banyak anak usia sekolah belum mengembangkan perilaku prososial. Kajian literatur menunjukkan bahwa perilaku prososial dapat ditingkatkan melalui pelatihan empati. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas pelatihan empati dalam meningkatkan perilaku prososial anak  usia sekolah.  Riset menggunakan pendekatan eksperimen kuasi atau semu, dengan desain pre-post test.  Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 20 anak  kelas 5 dari salah satu Sekolah Dasar di Kota Semarang, baik laki-laki maupun perempuan dengan rentang usia antara 10 sampai 12 tahun, dengan taraf intelektual minimal rata-rata. Pelatihan empati dilakukan sebanyak 4 sesi,  setiap sesi berlangsung sekitar 2 jam.  Sebelum dilakukan pelatihan, orang tua diminta untuk mengisi lembar informed consent yang menyatakan bahwa orang tua menyetujui dan tidak berkeberatan anak-anak mereka dilibatkan dalam penelitian dengan diberikan  Pelatihan  Empati. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah tes Coloured Progressive Matrices (CPM), Skala Perilaku Prososial, dan Skala Empati.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  terdapat perbedaan yang sangat  signifikan pada perilaku prososial sebelum dan setelah diberikan pelatihan empati (t = 4,359; p = 0,000). Pelatihan empati efektif meningkatkan perilaku prososial anak usia sekolah.Kata kunci: Anak usia sekolah, pelatihan empati, perilaku prososial Abstract: Prosocial behavior had brought positive impact for children. However, many school-aged children have not developed prosocial behavior. Literature review showed that prosocial behavior could be improved by empathy training. The purpose of this research was to find the effectiveness of empathy training in improving the prosocial behavior of school-aged children in Semarang. The research used quasi-experiment with pre and post test design. The subjects were 20 fifth-grade elementary school children, male and female. The age of the students ranged from 10 years to 12 years old and their level of intellectual ability were at least at average level. Training was conducted for 4 sessions, with 2 hours duration for each session. Prior to the implementation of the study, parents filled out an informed concent stated that they agreed their children participated in empathy training. Instruments used were Coloured Progressive Matrices (CPM), Prosocial Scale, and Empathy Scale. The results showed there was a very significant difference between a child's prosocial behavior score before and after attending empathy training (t = 4,359; p = 0,000).
