Abstract

This research aims to recognize the accoutability of financial management of Madrasah Aliyah Pesantren in Semarang and the acculturation of acountable financial management to improve qualified education of Madrasah Aliyah at Pesantren Hidayatussubban in Semarang. The methods for collecting data consists of observation, and documents study. A critical analysis was used to analyze the data. Based on the method above, educational finance management of Madrasah Aliyah Pesantren Hidayatussubban in Semarang, is generally not accountable. It can be recognized from the weakness of budgetting system and the weakness of finance control, but the finance accounting of Madrasah Aliyah is sufficient enough. Therefore, to build the accountable culture of financial management, Madrasah Aliyah must establish financial management system for the development of education quality which consists of inputs, process, outputs, and objectives. To achieve this objectives, it needs some input standards, process standards, and output standards.

Abstract

This paper discusses the possibilities that Islamic Education needs life system as stated in the Holy Koran. This life system must consist of moral as the central theme. The method used in this study was discourse analysis. The term “ummah” which is social study is known as “kemasyarakatan (social life)” was analyzed through Islamic education so that it results in education conception with social conception. It consists of the issue that every educator needs at least three requirements that must be fulfilled in order to prepare learners to be able to achieve the position as the best people (khairu ummah): amar makruf, nahi munkar, and commitment to be loyal to Allah‟s rules. The objective of the education expected to get the guidance, victory (falah), and save from the torments. The method used was through providing evidences/ arguments, stories, wisdom, mau‟izhah, mujadilah, syufa and ishlah. The educator is the role model in the field and action. Learners are the best people as individual and group.

Abstract

The study on hypothesis model of internalizing tawheed values in science materials (facts, concepts, and law) is expected to increase relative constribution of learning science toward achieving the national education objectives. The internalization will not lessen the scientifics itself. As a media to develop cognitive potency, science could develop the affective one as well. Through the materials, science internalizes the belief regarding all things in this world: things Allah has created, This belief could lead us to the obidience, characteristics and regularity of those things God created (Sunatullah), so that people can learn from them. It would enable the development of positive attitude, admiration to God’s power and love, gatitude and loyalty to Him. The internalization of tawheed values in science materials can be done through the discussion on the value/moral lesson/nature of the material from Islam perspective.

Abstract

This paper intends to explore the spirit of globalization in the madrassa. The analysis is done through the study of conceptual curriculum which is assumed to contain some elements of globalization such as democracy, autonomy, international markets, superiority and competitiveness. The development of quality of madrassa with global orientation develop four main competencies: 1) academic, 2) personal, 3) social and 4) spiritual competencies. They cover six elements, namely: (1) knowledge and cognition, (2) understanding and affection, (3) the ability to execute a task or job well, (4) value, that covers good behavior behavior that manifest themselves in a pupil, (5) the attitude , is a fast reaction to external stimuli, and (6) high interest in the positive range. To implement curriculum based on globalization management, madrasas can apply strategies such as: 1) self-management curriculum, creative and innovative spirit of autonomy and globalization; 2) master of science, personal formation, and mastery of social problem-solving skills; 3) master developmentally specific competency based learners.

Abstract

This article intends to elaborate a charge include life skills opportunities in both madrasah curriculum of ibtidaiyah, tsanawiyah and aliyah. The approach used is the science of Islamic education. Some important concepts in Islam that allows it to be analyzed and used as the basis of life skills-based curriculum contained in QS. Al-Ghâsyiyah [88]: 17-20, QS. Fâthir [35]: 39, QS. Al-Jâtsiyah [45]: 12-13, QS. Al-A‟râf [7]: 56-85 and QS. Al-Hujurât [49]: 1, 13, 18. Ethical values (Rasul Muhammad) Islam that allows elaborating life skills is shiddiq, amanah, fathanah and tabligh. The fourth value is assumed to equip graduates of madrassas that he later had a number of personal, social, academic, vocational and soft. The fourth value is assumed to equip graduates of madrassas that he later had the skills. A number of core Islamic values should be in synergy with the age issues such as democracy, globalization, the mastery of science, technology and information (the environment).

Abstract

Based on the contradiction among educational experts in interpreting the word al-qalb on the Holy Quran . Most interpret the "mind" and others interpreted with “heart” as there is no common word. On that basis, this study aimed to dissect the meaning of al-qalb on the Holy Qur'an with semantic approach . The method used in this study is a content analysis. The method is appropriate for the aspect of sentence context surrounding the word al-qalb in a variety of verses and letters . From the results of the study concluded that the word al-qalb on the Holy Qur'an contains three meanings: 1) the place of faith and emosion ; 2 ) mind, and 3 ) the spirit or lives . Thus, the contradiction among educational experts can actually be met within the context of the sentence in the Holy Qur'an. This also has implications for understanding the cognitive aspects of education, especially coaching (sense) and spiritual aspects (faith) .

Abstract

This study attempts to investigate the implementation of religious guidance for prostitute and its influence to Woman Social Institution Silih Asih in Palimanan, Cirebon. It formulated on four research questions: 1) How is the process of religious guidance in Social Institution Silih Asih; 2) What is the participants’s efforts to achieve the goal of religious guidance; 3) How is the material of religious guidance in Social Institution Silih Asih Palimanan; 4) How is the approach and method of religious guidance applied in Social Institution Silih Asih Palimanan to support and achieve the aim of religious guidance. The study used qualitative-naturalistic, research design with descriptive method. The data were collected through observation, interview, and document analysis. The results of the study show that: 1) there were two stages of religious guidance: identification stage and rehabilitation process; 2) the participants were identified by their age, marital status, education background, parents’ job, and reasons of being prostitute; 3) the materials presented on theoretical and natural materials based on Islam thoughts; 4) the religious guidance used various approaches: experience, habituation, emotional, rational, and holistic.

Abstract

This paper intends to analyze concepts associated to the duties and functions of a teacher such as, tarbiyyah, and tazkiyyah in al-Quran based on philosophical and pedagogical. There are a number of new challenges to interpret these concepts in order contextual with the demands and needs of the times. The results showed that the study groups is not just imparting knowledge and skills, but also emphasize the empowering sense. Empowering mind will enable students to develop skills in solving everyday problems. Empowering mind can deliver students aware of God's wisdom. Orientation tarbiyyah intends to develop the potential of physical, psychological, and affective concerns such as moods, feelings, self-image, motivation, mental toughness as a characteristic ribbiyyûn. Tazkiyyah aims to develop heart as a place of faith, and avoiding polytheism. The activity was done by planting a religious duty to practice the habit of the practice of worship with the appreciation will be God's wisdom.

Abstract

To be sure, that outdoor student activity in Arabic Intensive Program can’t be dismissed from the educational process, where it’s a part of the curriculum in all educational institutions. Many people were interested of the existing education to put the appropriate status of the student activity. In this case, the researcher wants to discover the role of student activity in Arabic Intensive Program student academic achievement at Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang, using descriptive approach, and concluded that the Arabic Intensive Program has placed the student activity in special attention equal academic student activity, the student activity in the Arabic Intensive Program has an active role in raising academic achievement for university students.

Abstract

This paper is intended to describe the Possibility to apply quality management in Private Islamic University (PTAIS) in Indonesia. The method used to analysed this is content analysis. The theory used is the theory of total quality management (TQM) which is adapted with PTAIS institutional conditions. The findings showed that The strategy to develop the quality of Private islamic Universities should be, at least: 1) directed to The development of academic quality based on internaitonal standard, so that the academic and social needs for national and regional scale is automatically able to be met, 2) supported by a good academic atmosphere so that attempts to improve the academic quality can be run more quickly and effectively; 3) the primary support to the internationalization of Islamic education which is more humane; and establish broad international academic networking to support the human resources quality which is more superior, innovative, and productive.
