Abstract

This research aimed to obtain a description explanation about negative automatic thoughts that appear on Bandung junior high school students who are bullied. The research also described the automatic negative thoughts that was based on factors affected by bullying (from CATS questionnaire). The research involved 1261 samples of the students of  5 junior high school in Bandung. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistic analysis. The results showed as many as 48 students belonging to students who experience the action of bullying with high frequency and as many as 333 students experience the act of bullying in the medium frequency. Then, based on the results of CATS questionnaires, about 8.3% of students, show that they had higher frequency the occurrence of negative automatic thoughts. It means they had a negative beliefs scheme and often experience helplessness in their daily lives. The factor analysis showed that social threat was the most contributive factor in generating negative automatic thoughts.

Abstract

This research study about low achievement of psychology students academic year 2008 in psychodiagnostic 1 class. Based on interview, students have low achievement because of many factors such as learning motivation, attitude toward lectures, and intelegence level. Population are students at psychology faculty of UIN Sunan Gunung registered in academic year 2008 and taking psychodiagnostic 1 class. “Simple random sampling”  represent population. Research design used partial correlation. Result shows that correlation between IQ, learning motivation and attitude toward lecturer is r = 0,551. It is concluded that correlation between those variables is significant. Correlation values from each variables are 0,478 for IQ, 0,029 for learning motivation and 0,268 for attitude towardlectures.

Abstract

Background this research from fenomena at Psychologycal Faculty of  UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, that student motivation to learn is very low, for example: student present is small then 75%. Beside, 65% educational background lectures was not from pure psychology. According to student opinion there are much lectures from Psychology Faculty do not competence in their job matter. Research design is suvey and research method is causality because the research goal is know how streng effect one variable to an other variable. Total sampling are 100 students. Hypotetis test with Product Momant from Pearson because scale of data is interval. The result is Lecture Competence have possitive correlation and significant with Student Motivation to Learn with rxy value: 0.629, rtable 0.195, and p=0.000 (p<0.05). So Lecture Dicipline to Work have possitive correlation and significant with Student Motivation to Learn with rxy value: 0.755, rtable 0.195, and p=0.000 (p<0.05). So Lecture Competence and Dicipline to Work have possitive correlation and significant with Student Motivation to Learn with rxy value:0.762, rtable : 0.195, and p=0.000 (p<0.05), and  is 58%

Abstract

Deal with children in adolescence stage, parents often showing impatience behavior, unable to control him/herself, complaining when faced with difficulties in parenting and do not listen attentively toward child’s problems. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of mindful parenting program to improve parenting skills in a positive way. The research method used a quasi-experimental design with measurement technique was Interpersonal Mindfulness in Parenting Scale. The subjects were 28 parents of students of class VII SMPN 15 Bandung. The results showed that the effect of mindful parenting programs has improved significantly on three skills in aspect of positive parenting included listening attentively, emotional awareness of self and children, and self-regulation in the parenting relationship. But for the other two aspects, namely acceptance of self and children without judgment, and the love of self and children the results are less significant.

Abstract

The educational process can become a source of stressor and anxiety, especially in the final stage of a college education (thesis exam) for students. 5 of 15 College student Health Sciences Muhammadiyah Palembang experienced acute anxiety. In addition, 19 of the 67 students in STIKes Muhammadiyah who undergo remedial thesis examination have other physical complaints. Self healing using reiki energy can be utilized to reduce the anxiety state. This study investigates the effect of self healing reiki energy on anxiety. A quasi experimental design was used with the sample of forty respondents (20=intervention, 20=control group). One Way Anova was used to test the hypothesis. The results showed that there was a significant difference of the mean score of anxiety between the intervention and the control group during the post-test. Thus, treatment of self healing with Reiki energy is quite effective in reducing anxiety levels.

Abstract

Student anxiety facing national exam describes that they have academic buoyancy.  Research from Jakubowski & Dembo (2004), Hejazi, Shahraray, Farsinejad, & As-gari (2009) shows that identity model correlate with self efficacy. Besides, Martin & Marsh (2002, 2008), Martin, Colmar & Davey (2010), concluded from their research that self efficacy correlate with academic buoyancy. Therefore, based on those two researches and mediated model from Baron and Kenny (1986), self efficacy assumed be able to have a role as mediator in identity model and academic buoyancy correlation. This research involved 200 students grade XII from five schools in Bandung. Instruments used are identity model self efficacy, and academic buoyancy questionnaire. Data was analised using path analysis. Result shows that self efficacy has a role as mediator in correlation of informational identity model, normative identity model and academic buoyancy. In addtion, diffuse / avoidant identity model correlated with academic buoyancy without mediated by self efficacy. Commitment is also found correlated with academic buoyancy without mediated by self efficacy.

Abstract

One of many ways of conceiving individual personality is by observing and analyzing his or her behavior. Bandura said that we need to know how people interact with the world around them. Sometimes any actions and his or her interaction with environment can be contrary to values that holds by their society. However—Bandura was also point out and human behavior can be predicted and modified by altering their behavior through learning. This learning processes must also considering the capacity of each person according to each own ability to think and how they interact with their surrounding environment. Based on social learning theory, behavior can be altered and modified through modeling, which is used to shape and molding a new behavior that can be approved by society and eliminating any unwanted behavior. Basic principle from this modeling is a goal that client can create, shape and mold new behavior through imitation or copying someone else’s behavior or people that become a model figure for them.

Abstract

Literature study identify two religion practices suspected affecting moral awareness ; praying before doing activity and cleansing before praying. Factorial 2x2 experimental study was used to analyse hypothesis. Participants are 103 students from psychology faculty UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung taking intelegency test class.  Result shows that praying before doing activity and cleansing before praying for physical purity are not significantly proven affecting moral awareness and moral behavior since cheating and liar are still occured. One factor which is significantly proven affect moral behavior is moral belief.

Abstract

Future orientation is formed as a result of interaction with the environment one of them teenage parents. The study aims to determine the effect balance relationship patterns of parent-adolescent to the orientation of future education in adolescents of Bandung city. The analysis technique used is the correlation analysis and logistic regression. The study use cluster sampling to obtain a sample of 358 students. The results showed that the balance relations on the dimensions of adaptability and cohesion have a greater influence on the clarity of the future orientation of youth education in Bandung. Balance relationship patterns of parent-adolescent balance has possibility of 16.181 times more clearly educational future compared with the balance of relationship patterns of parent-adolescent unbalance. Balance relationship patterns of parent-adolescent has possibility of 2.088  times more clearly educational future compared with the balance of relationship patterns of parent- adolescent to mid range category.

Abstract

This research evelop teamwork internalization model through internship which is based on Participatory Action Research. Participants are students at IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon involved in qualitative deasign. Result shows that internship based on Participatory Action Research has been conducted in group from preparation, implementation, until evaluation. Internalization process of cooperative values in internship occurs when the students have dinamic, participative and collaborative learning making process in making Mapping, Seasonal Calender, Diagram Venn, Time Line, Trend and Change, Matrix ranking and flowchart. Partisipative model can be developed on purpose, content, method, and evaluation
