Abstract

The Central Java Provincial Government has implemented the "Open Data Jateng" system since 2019 for public services. Open Data is part of the application of big data, and the system does not yet have evidence to meet data needs. So, an explanatory method of research was conducted using a prediction study. The research variables are based on the development of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) theory and the 3Q model theory. 130 respondents from the ex-Karesidenan of Semarang City filled out 21 statements, then tested through Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The result is that there is the highest relationship in the TAM variable, namely: the influence of the perceived usefulness variable on the behavioral intention to use variable is 42.5%, with the predictive power of increasing the two variables to 75.2% if there is treatment/policy. The relationship between TAM variables and the 3Q model was found, such as the effect between the information quality variable and perceived usefulness was 13.3%, which has a low level of influence. Although low, the predictive power is also high at 65.4% if there is a treatment or policy that supports the information quality variable. The study concluded that the optimization of Open Data Jateng can be through policy support in order to improve the quality of information.

Abstract

Vocational high schools are given flexibility for their students to carry out direct learning in the industry as part of the practical education activities of implementing student skills. The implementation of industrial practice requires a special way to find out and monitor each student's activities so that the achievements of the implementation of industrial practice can be carried out properly.  The implementation of industrial work practice assessment has several assessment criteria. These criteria include attendance, neatness, attitude, skills, and knowledge. The problems found in the assessment system are still done manually so that the effectiveness is minimal. This study aims to create a system that can monitor and assess the implementation of industrial practices.  The system developed will be tested as a medium for monitoring and assessing industrial practices.  This research uses Fuzzy Tsukamoto's logic approach as a scoring logic  model and  uses the waterfall method as a development model consisting of analysis, design, coding, and testing. The results of the research conducted resulted in a system that can monitor and assess the implementation of industry practices.  The test was carried out by 24 people consisting of guidance teachers and students. Testing is done by testing aspects of functionality and aspects of usability. Based on the test results, the functionality aspect scored 100% (very feasible) and the usage aspect got a score of 84.8% (very feasible)

Abstract

Motor vehicle theft is a crime that can potentially harm the owner of the vehicle. This crime should be anticipated, and a security system should be implemented to avoid vehicle theft. Research about vehicle security systems has run into an uptrend. Previous research has already developed security system devices for vehicles with many peripherals. This study aims to develop a new low-cost vehicle security device with location change calculation to cut unused peripherals. The proposed device has a logic checker, horn controller, and vehicle controller as security systems. According to the testing result, the device can detect the vehicle status from off to on while the security system is active. The device will turn on the horn and turn the vehicle off. This function always works at 100%. This device also detects theft according to the location change. This feature works at a 100% rate, with an average error reading location of 4,83m and an average error distance calculation of 0,91m. This distance is tolerable because the owner can still see the vehicle. This research result proves that the device can be used to secure the vehicle. This device's performance will increase if placed outside the building. The data was also successfully sent to the IoT platform without data loss or incomplete data. Compared with other research, the proposed device has fewer peripherals with the same or more security features.

Abstract

The development of software must consider usability as one of its key success indicators. Relatively few studies discuss the factors influencing usability, including users' backgrounds. The purpose of this research was to investigate the impact of user background, specifically gender, class (year of college admission), and frequency of use on the rating of usability.  This research utilized a descriptive quantitative method with instruments: the usability matrix of the Computer System Usability Questionnaire (CSUQ), the System Usability Scale (SUS), the Usability Metric for User Experience (UMUX), and the Net Promoter Score (NPS). The research object was the Learning Management System (LMS) of two state universities in Yogyakarta. Two sets of questionnaire responses were obtained: 305 men and 442 women answered the first time, and 280 men and 584 women answered the second time. Our result shows that the mean value of usability level from CSUQ, SUS, UMUX, and NPS is mostly higher in female than male respondents, in junior to more senior students, and in respondents who use the system more frequently than those who use it less.  This trend was consistent, even though the sequence of questionnaire choice order was reversed between the first and second data collection at the two universities. This research hence concluded that, based on gender, women tend to offer a higher rating of usability than men; based on class, the younger generation tends to provide higher ratings of usability than the older generation, and users who use the system more frequently tend to give higher usability rating than those who less use it.

Abstract

This study evaluates the performance of different classification methods in classifying healthy individuals and stroke patients. The hand gesture variations of the subjects were also analyzed based on electromyography (EMG) signals. Several classification methods were tested in this analysis to find out which method had the most suitable performance. The results showed that Decision Tree and Naive Bayes classifiers achieved the highest performance in classifying EMG signals from healthy individuals and stroke patients, with both methods showing high accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score. Specifically, Decision Tree excelled in overall accuracy and recall, while Naive Bayes showed superior precision. For hand gesture recognition, SVM, KNN, and Random Forest classifiers showed similarly high performance, achieving accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score above 82%. Naive Bayes also performed well, especially in precision, while Decision Tree performed poorly compared to other methods. This insight can form the basis for the development of more effective and personalized rehabilitation systems for stroke patients, by utilizing reliable and accurate EMG signal classification

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to compile concepts related to computational thinking skills in the context of computer programming subject. The research design used is data theorization (grounded theory) with open coding and axial coding data analysis techniques. Three types of data collection protocols are used: interview protocols, observation protocols, and recording protocols. The characteristics informants used are students who have experience learning computer programming in the vocational high school. The research produced several concepts, namely the problem concept, which then gave rise to the computational thinking skills concept. The problem concept consists of three sub-concepts: the common problem sub-concept, the medium problem sub-concept, and the high problem sub-concept. The concept of computational thinking skills is a set of skills required in the problem-solving process in computer programming. Computational thinking is not just a thought process but an expression of skills that others can observe. In the computer programming subject context, two concepts influence the process of mastering computational thinking skills: the guidance strategies concept and the information sources concept. The concept of success becomes a mediator in developing computational thinking skills. The theory produced in this study can be used as a basis for conducting research with quantitative designs related to deductive proof of the theory.

Abstract

Forecasting is a term used to forecast or predict the business that we run to see the direction in the future which uses historical data as the main reference. An appropriate strategy is needed to manage the production of salt raw materials properly, namely through sales forecasting. PT Budiono Madura Bangun Persada is a company engaged in salt processing with the brands "Anak pintar (AP)" and "Kapal Container (KC)" where the amount of production experiences uncertainty, namely an increase or decrease, this results in an uncertain amount of raw materials. This study aims to predict the exact amount of salt production in a certain period. The amount of data used is the period November 2020 - April 2021 as much as. The final result of this forecasting model is the best using predictions on day 6 for both AP salt and KC salt, with an MSE value of 290.71 for KC salt and an MSE value of 843.08 for AP salt
