Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan media pembelajaran kelistrikan otomotif di lembaga pendidikan pencetak calon guru teknik otomotif. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian expose facto dengan populasi adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Otomotif di Universitas Negeri Semarang dan Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta yang sudah mengambil mata kuliah kelistrikan otomotif sebanyak 145 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran kelistrikan otomotif perlu dikembangkan untuk menunjang pembelajaran kelistrikan otomotif terutama  untuk  menjelaskan kerja sistem kelistrikan,  prinsip  dasar, nama komponen, dan fungsi komponen sistem kelistrikan.

Abstract

The Synchronous online argumentation system is highly needed to facilitate learning activity in this internet era. To gain deeper insights about this important issue, this study developed nine principles based on Cognitive Load, User Interface, and User Experience to redesign a system. With this framework, 48 (forty-eight) students of Chi-Ying High School had tested with two prototypes, and the second prototype used the nine principles. The systems were measured with Web-Based Learning Environment (WEBLEI) and System Usability Test (SUS). The result of WEBLEI measurement shows that the second prototype gives better result and shows higher user acceptance than the first prototype. The result of SUS measurement shows that the usability of the second prototype is better than on the first prototype with (4.43) SUS score difference. The result shows that the use of nine principles that applied to the second prototype does increase the usability and acceptance of the students.

Abstract

This study examines the use of e-learning as a learning media in Education and Training. The role of e-learning in learning can bridge the gap between teachers and students in different spaces and times. The method used in this study is a literature review with a narrative review approach. The study result revealed that e-learning as a learning media is effective to improve student learning achievement. In the training of the company, the use of e-learning can also improve the performance of employees. E-Learning that uses MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) provides benefits for learners in formal education and companies who want to develop their abilities and careers. It is important to emphasize aspects of content, users, and the latest technology to optimize the effectiveness of implementing e-learning.

Abstract

This research aims to solve some common problems faced by learners, namely difficulties in understanding materials with abstract ideas and the lack of problem-solving skills. Mobile-based interactive learning multimedia as an innovation in educational setting is a self-learning media that the learners can use both in school and at home to help them understand the materials easily, minimize learning difficulties, and increase their problem-solving skills. This is a Research and Development (R&D) with the APPED model. The subjects of this research were the 10th grade students of the Vocational Program of Computer and Network Technology at SMK Negeri 1 Tulung Klaten (State Vocational School 1 of Tulung, Klaten). The data analysis technique was done through the descriptive quantitative. The results showed that the mobile-based interactive multimedia learning was feasible with the Very Good category. The mobile-learning-based interactive multimedia learning was effectively used with a percentage of 77.85% and the difference in significance, based on the Wilcoxon Test on the pretest posttest of 0.000 it indicates that there is a difference in the increase in problem-solving skills while learning using the mobile-based interactive multimedia learning.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the differences in the learning achievement based on higher order thinking skills of the students using flipped classroom learning model with moodle media on simulation and digital communication subjects and that of those using the conventional learning model with printed book media. This research was a quasi experiment in the form of pre-test and post-test group. The population was all students of class X TKJ SMK Negeri 3 Kab.Pinrang, totaling 62 students. The sample was established using intact group technique based on the existing class. The data were collected through a test to measure student learning achievement based on higher order thinking skills, a questionnaire with Likert scale, and documentation. Measurements were based on students’ learning achievement scores and responses to the flipped classroom learning model. The data were analyzed using the descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results shows that, there were differences in students’ learning outcomes based on higher order thinking skills using flipped classroom learning model with moodle media on simulation and digital communication subjects compared with learning outcome using conventional learning model / lecture with printed book media, namely the mean of experimental class groups 30.41 while the control class group 27.70 from the highest score 35 in the experimental class and 33 in the control class and proved by results of hypothesis testing with a probability value of 0.032 < 0.05 H1 accepted.

Abstract

This research study aimed to solve common problems often faced by learners. This is a Research and Development (R&D) with the APPED model which consistsconsisting of five stages of development. The subjects of this research were the 10th-grade students of the Vocational Program of Computer and Network Technology at SMK Negeri 1 Tulung Klaten (State Vocational School 1 of Tulung, Klaten). The data analysis were analyzed usingtechnique was done through the descriptive quantitative technique. Based on the research, the data from the validation of performed by experts and practitioners of mobile-based interactive learning multimedia, out of four validators, obtained showed an overall value of 87.92%, which was included incategorized in the very good category, and meaning that it is proper for use in learning. The N-gain of Tthe critical thinking ability improvement at the application stage obtained an N-gain ofwas 82.9%, and it waswhich was categorized as  included in the medium improvement category. The effectiveness of interactive learning multimedia used in learning as, shown by the learners’ response questionnaires, obtained showed an overall percentage of 83.52% and was included in the very good category. Based on the Wilcoxon test on critical thinking ability data, and the pretest-posttest gain values, critical thinking ability it obtained a value of 0.000 which indicated that there was a difference in the critical thinking ability improvement in after using the mobile-based interactive learning multimedia. Therefore, mobile-based interactive learning multimedia can be used as an alternative medium in learning to help improve students' critical thinking ability, as well as to support the independent learning process.

Abstract

Abstract: ICT Implementation Potentials in Public Senior High Schools inYogyakarta City to Improve the Instructional Quality. This study aims to describeICT implementation potentials for learning in terms of: (1) the level of the studentsand staffs ICT competency, (2) the model employed in implementing ICT, and (3)the obstacles in implementing ICT. This study was a descriptive study involving341 respondents consisting of students, teachers, ICT personnel, clerical staff, andprincipals. They were selected randomly from 11 public senior high schools inYogyakarta City. The quantitative data were analyzed by descriptive statistics andthe qualitative data by an inductive technique. The results show that there are 8people (2.3%) of very low level, 54 people (15.8%) of low level, 115 people (33.5%)of medium level, 128 people (37.5%) of high level, and 36 people (10.6%) of veryhigh level. ICT has been systematically implemented through design, development,utilization, management, and evaluation. The obstacles in implementing ICT comefrom the lack of personnel, infrastructure, hardware, and software.Keywords: Information and Communication Technology, ICT implementation,instructional quality.

Abstract

Abstract: Polytechnic has characteristic which prioritizes the application of practical aspects supported by appropriate theory. Blended learning can be applied in Polytechnic, but a scheme is needed to formulate the correct instructional model. The study objectives were to examine the type of instructional model on blended learning that suits with Polytechnic. The research was conducted by qualitative descriptive approach by Miles and Huberman through observation, in-depth interview, Focus Group Discussion and literature review. The research validity was done by transferability, confirmability, credibility and dependability test. It can be concluded that the instructional model is appropriately determined by the suitability of educational model, technique and method of learning, and also facilities and infrastructure readiness. The instructional model on Blended Learning in Polytechnic is the Rotation Instructional Model. The study had implications on the learning process in Polytechnic. Blended learning dapat diterapkan di Politeknik, namun diperlukan sebuah skema untuk merumuskan instructional model yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengkaji jenis instructional model pada Blended Learning yang sesuai dengan karakteristik pendidikan Politeknik. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif model Miles dan Huberman, teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, Focus Group Discussion dan kajian pustaka. Keabsahan data dengan uji transferability, confirmability, credibility dan dependability. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa instructional model yang tepat ditentukan dengan mempertimbangkan kesesuaian antara model pendidikan yang diselenggarakan, teknik dan metode pembelajaran mata kuliah, serta ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana pembelajaran. Sesuai dengan pertimbangan tersebut maka instructional model pada Blended Learning di Politeknik adalah Rotation Instructional Model. Implikasi penelitian terjadi pada proses pembelajaran di Politeknik. Para dosen dapat memanfaatkan instructional model skema untuk menentukan instructional model yang tepat untuk mata kuliah yang diampu.Kata Kunci: Instructional Model, Blended Learning, Politeknik, Vokasi
