Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei yang bertujuan untuk:(1) mengetahui kinerja guru lulusan program studi pendidikan kimia FMIPA UNY yang mengajar di SMA dan SMK di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta ditinjau dari kompetensi pedagogik, kepribadian, sosial dan profesional dan (2) mengetahui kinerja guru lulusan program studi pendidikan kimia FMIPA UNY dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan penilaian pembelajaran di SMA dan SMK di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei dengan populasi penelitian guru kimia di 3 SMA dan 14 SMK di DIY. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, angket dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kinerja guru kimia pada kompetensi pedagogik, kepribadian, sosial dan profesional memiliki kriteria baik. (2) kinerja guru kimia hasil observasi mengenai perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan penilaian pembelajaran memiliki kriteria baik. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kinerja guru kimia lulusan program studi pendidikan kimia UNY di SMA dan SMK di DIY secara umum adalah baik.Kata Kunci: kinerja guru, kompetensi guru A Performance Study of the Teachers Graduating from the Chemistry Educational Program of the State University of Yogyakarta Special Region AbstractThis study is a survey which aims to: (1) determine the performance of the teachers in secondary school in Yogyakarta Special Region who graduated from UNY Chemistry Educational Program Faculty of Mathematics and Science, in term of the pedagogic, personality, social and professional competences. (2) determine the performance of the teachers in secondary school in Yogyakarta Special Region who graduated from UNY Chemistry Educational Program Faculty of Mathematics and Science, in term of planning, implementation, and assessment of teaching The population of this survey was chemistry teachers at some of high school and vocational school in Yogyakarta Special Region. Data collection instruments are observations, questionnaires, and interviews. The results of this study showed that (1) the performance of chemistry teachers on pedagogical, personality, social and professional has a good criteria.(2) the performance of chemistry teacher in planning, implementation, and assessment of learning has good criteria. This result showed that the performance of the teachers in secondary school in Yogyakarta Special Region who graduated from UNY Chemistry Educational Program Faculty of Mathematics and Science generally is good.Keywords: teacher's performance, teacher's competence

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untukuntuk mengembangkan SSP berbasis keunggulan lokal yang layak dipergunakan dalam meningkatkan literasi sains dan kepedulian lingkungan siswa MTs. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan metode Borg Gall. Subjek uji coba lapangan terdiri dari 50 orang siswa kelas VII MTs Manbaul Ulum. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan, bahwa SSP yang telah dikembangkan layak dipergunakan, berdasarkan hasil penilaian validator “sangat baik” dan berdasarkan hasil uji beda antara kelas kontrol dan eksperimen yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan rata-rata nilai literasi sains antara dua kelas tersebut yaitu terdapat peningkatan literasi sains siswa menggunakan SSP berbasis kearifan lokal yang dikembangkan.Kata kunci: SSP, keunggulan lokal, literasi sains, dan kepedulian lingkungan Developing of Essence and Energy SSP Based on Local Wisdom to Improve Literacy Science and Environmental Care Of Students of MTs  AbstractThis research aims todevelop appropriate subject specific pedagogy based on local wisdom to improveliteracy science and environmental care of students of madrasah Tsanawiyah. This research is used the research and development (RD) of Borg Gall model.The research subjects in the main field testing were 50 students of class VII MTs Manbaul ‘Ulum. The result of this research shows that the sets of integrated science learning equipment based on local wisdom is feasible to increase the student`s  literacy of science. It can be seen from the validator assessment, i.e. grade A or very good. This feasibiliy is also supported by Manova test on the difference of grades study results, literacy science mean score between the experimental class and control class, there is an increase of literacy science using SSP based on local wisdom that was developed.Keywords: SSP,local wisdom, literacy science, and environmental care

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui karakteristik instrumen penilaian tes kreativitas pada pembelajaraan fisika dengan pendekatan inkuiri menurut kriteria instrumen yang baik, serta (2) mengetahui kemampuan tes dalam mengukur berpikir kreatif peserta didik pada proses pembelajaran dengan pendekatan inkuiri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model pengembangan prosedural, yang mengikuti beberapa tahapan sehingga menghasilkan instrumen penilaian untuk peserta didik SMA. Tahapan tersebut antara lain: (1) pengumpulan informasi, (2) perancangan, (3) mengembangkan produk awal, (4) uji terbatas, (5) revisi hasil uji terbatas, (6) uji coba luas, (7)  revisi hasil uji coba luas. Instrumen evaluasi divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli evaluasi kemudian dinilai oleh guru fisika, ahli materi dan ahli evaluasi. Subjek uji coba penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Sewon. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan ini yaitu: (1) Produk berupa tes kreativitas dengan pendekatan inkuiri pada materi teori kinetik gas berbentuk uraian bebas yang dikembangkan sudah layak sesuai dengan validitas, reliabilitas, dan tingkat kesukaran. Penilaian instrumen tes kreativitas dari aspek isi, konstruk, dan teknis berada dalam kategori sangat baik, serta (2) Proses pembelajaran dengan pendekatan inkuiri memberikan pengaruh terhadap kreativitas peserta didik yang diinterpretasikan dari hasil analisis effect size sebesar 0,202 dengan kategori efek sedang. Uji coba penggunaan instrumen tes ini menunjukan peningkatan kreativitas peserta didik dengan menggunakan pendekatan inkuiri.Kata Kunci: instrumen penilaian, tes kreativitas, uraian bebas, pendekatan inkuiri Developing a Creativity Test on Physics Learning with Inquiry Approach on the Material of Gas Kinetics Theory AbstractThis study aims to: (1) get an assessment of creativity with an inquiry approach in the physics learning and, (2) investigate the capability of test for measure student`s creative thinking in the physics learning with an inquiry approach. This study was research and development with a procedural model, which applied some steps for getting an assessment that is used for Senior High School students. The steps of study consisted of: (1) research and collecting information, (2) planning, (3) developing preliminary form of product, (4) preliminary field testing, (5) product revision, (6) main field testing, and (7) product revision. The assessment that was developed had been validated by experts of theory and evaluation, and then evaluated by a physics teacher, experts of theory and evaluation. The try out subjects of this reseacrh were the students of class XI MIA Sewon Senior High School. The data were collected by using validation sheets, observation sheets, and creativity tests. The techniques of data analysis used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The result of the research and development is as follows: (1) Creativity tests with an inquiry approach in gas kinetic theory topic in the form of an essay has been appropriate consisting of validity, reliability, and difficulty levels. The evaluation of creativity consisted of matter, construct and techniques aspect which are in the best category. (2) The learning process with an inquiry approach had an effect on student`s creativity which is interpreted by the value of effect size 0.202 which are in medium efffect. The main testing instruments points out the gain of student`s creativity who learned with an inquiry approach is higher.Keywords: assessment instrument, creativity tests, essay, inquiry approach

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk: (1) mengembangkan SSP Biologi berbasis domain kreativitas dalam mengembangkan karakter kreatif dan tanggung jawab pada diri siswa; (2) mengetahui kualitas SSP Biologi berbasis domain kreativitas untuk meningkatkan karakter kreatif dan tanggung jawab pada siswa; (3) mengetahui SSP Biologi berbasis domain kreativitas yang dihasilkan mampu meningkatkan karakter kreatif dan tanggung jawab serta prestasi hasil belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R D). Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA 3 (sebagai kelas kontrol) dan XI IPA 5 (sebagai kelas treatmen) yang masing-masing kelas terdiri atas 30 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan pedoman wawancara, lembar validasi SSP, angket, lembar observasi, dan tes yang terdiri atas pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian dalam pengembangan perangkat SSP Biologi domain kreativitas untuk meningkatkan karakter kreatif dan tanggung jawab pada siswa yang terdiri atas pengembangan Silabus, RPP, Materi ajar, LKS, penilaian tes belajar siswa sudah valid dan layak digunakan karena memiliki kategori sangat baik. Perangkat SSP Biologi domain kreativitas untuk meningkatkan karakter kreatif dan tanggung jawab mampu meningkatkan karakter kreatif dan tanggung jawab pada siswa dengan katagori sangat baik.Kata Kunci: SSP, kreativitas, karakter, kreatif, tanggung jawab Developing Creativity Domain Biology SSP to Improve Students' Creative Character, Responsibility, and Learning Achievement AbstractThis study aims to: (1) develop creativity-domain-based biology SSP to improve the creative and responsibility character in students. (2) reveal the quality the creativity-domain-based biology SSP to improve the creativity and responsibility characters of students.(3) knowing quality developing the creativity-domain-based biology SSP to improve the creativity, responsibility character and the resulting study of student. The method in this study was Research and Development (R D) consisting of 10 primary steps developed by Borg Gall; this study, however, used only steps 1 to 7, i.e.a preliminary study, planning, SSP draft construction and validation, a small-scale try out, evaluation and revision, a large-scale try out, and evaluation and final revision. The try out subjects were grade XI IPA students, consisting of 15 Grade XI IPA 1 students for the small-scale tryout and 30 Grade XI IPA 3 students as the control class, 30 Grade student of XI IPA 5 as the experimental class. The data were collected by means of an interview guide, a kit validation sheet, a questionnaire, an observation sheet, and tests consisting of a pre-test and post-test. Feedback and suggestion for the developed SSP in the small-scale try out stage were used as the basis for the SSP revision in the subsequent tryout. The result of study consisting of the development of syllabus, lesson plant, teaching materials, worksheets, student assessment test, according to the research is valid and fit for use because it is in a very good category. The SSP device creativity-domain-based biology to enhance the creativity and responsibility characters can improve creativity and responsibility characters of the students, which is a very good character.Keywords: SSP, creativity, character, creative, responsibility

Abstract

This study aims to develop an evaluation instrument CIPP (context, input, process, product) model that suitable at implementation of performance assessment instrument to measure students' science process skills of junior high school. Methods in this study are research and development (R & D) which is adopted by model Borg & Gall model. This evaluation instrument used one of evaluation CIPP model with context, input, process, and product components. The evaluation instrument is used to determine the implementation of performance assessment instrument to measure junior high school students' science process skills in excretion system topic. This development study involves some experts to give validation of the development of feasibility products. Experts involved, they are two lecturers of evaluation expert, two junior high school science teachers, and four peers. The validity of evaluation instruments was analyzed using V'aiken formula. The results of this study are evaluation instrument of CIPP model of the implementation of performance assessment to measure junior high school students' science process skills of grade VIII in excretion system topic. The results of the validity of this product indicates that this evaluation instruments are eligible in using with V'eiken coefficient of 0.86. It indicates that the evaluation instruments are valid in substance, construction, and language aspects.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan prototipe buku ajar fisika dasar reflektif-integratif berbasis problem solving yang valid dan efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan metakognisi peserta didik. Desain penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design, dengan sampel 25 peserta didik program studi pendidikan fisika FPMIPA IKIP Mataram. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan lembar validasi untuk mengukur validitas produk, dan tes berbentuk essay yang mengukur efektivitas produk untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan metakognisi peserta didik. Data dan analisis yang digunakan yaitu: (1) validitas produk dilakukan oleh 2 (dua) ahli yang berkompeten dan dianalisis secara deskriptif, dan (2) efektivitas produk diukur setelah pembelajaran dan dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan persamaan n-gain, dan secara statistik dengan paired samples test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan prototipe buku ajar fisika dasar reflektif-integratif berbasis problem solving valid (3,38) dan reliabel (0,97), sedangkan pengetahuan metakognisi meliputi pengetahuan deklaratif (n-gain = 0,58), pengetahuan prosedural (n-gain = 0,53), dan pengetahuan kondisional (n-gain = 0,56) dinyatakan meningkat setelah pembelajaran dengan kategori sedang. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan prototipe buku ajar fisika dasar reflektif-integratif berbasis problem solving berpengaruh signifikan (p < 0,05) terhadap pengetahuan metakognisi peserta didik. Dengan demikian, prototipe buku ajar fisika dasar reflektif-integratif berbasis problem solving valid dan efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan metakognisi peserta didik.Validity and effectiveness of reflective-integrative basic physics textbook prototype based on problem solving to improve metacognition knowledge AbstractThis study aimed at producing a valid and effective reflective-integrative basic physics textbook prototype based on problem solving in order to improve students' metacognitive knowledge at university level. The design was quasi experiment with one group pretest-posttest design, which involved 25 students of FPMIPA, IKIP Mataram. Instruments of the study were a validation sheet to measure product validity and an essay test to measure effectiveness of the product in attempt to improve students' metacognitive knowledge. Data and its analysis were conducted through: (1) two experts' descriptive judgements on the validity of the text book and (2) descriptive analysis on product effectiveness analyzed after learning session by using n-gain equation and statistical analysis using paired sample test. Results show that the text book prototype was valid (3,38) and reliable (0,97), while metacognitive knowledge that covered declarative knowledge (n-gain= 0,58), procedural knowledge (n-gain= 0,53), and conditional knowledge (n-gain= 0,56) were found improved at medium level after learning conducted. Statistical test result shows that the text book protype had significant effect (p<0,05) towards students' metacognitive knowledge. Therefore, the reflective-integrative basic physics textbook prototype based on problem solving was found valid and effective in improving students' metacognitive knowledge at university level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran biologi berbasis Model Susan Loucks Horsley setting outdoor activities untuk penumbuhkembangan keterampilan proses sains dan karakter peduli lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode research and development (RD) yang dikembangkan oleh BorgGall. Uji coba lapangan menggunakan dua kelas yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah konversi skor ke nilai. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, independent sample t-test dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis model Susan Loucks Horsley setting outdoor activities ini memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam menumbuhkembangkan keterampilan proses sains dan karakter peduli lingkungan peserta didik. Kevalidan produk terlihat dari hasil uji validasi yang menyatakan bahwa produk mencapai kriteria sangat valid. Kepraktisan produk terlihat dari hasil pengisian lembar respon peserta didik menunjukkan kriteria sangat praktis untuk handout dan proses pembelajaran serta praktis untuk LKPD; dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran yang berada pada kisaran 91,7% sampai 100%. Keefektifan didukung dengan hasil uji beda antara kelas kontrol dan eksperimen yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan rata-rata nilai hasil belajar,dan skor angket karakter kepedulian lingkungan yang signifikan antara dua kelas tersebut dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05.Kata Kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran, keterampilan proses sains, karakter peduli lingkungan Developing of SLH’s Model of SSP to Increase Student’s Science Process Skills and Environmental Care  AbstractThis study aims to investigate the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of biology tool based learning model of Susan Loucks Horsley setting outdoor activities to increase science process skills and environmental care. This study used research and development (RD) of Borg Gall. Try out was conducted by using two classes which were selected using simple random sampling technique. The data analysis technique was the score conversion into grades. Then it was followed by normality test, homogeneity test, independent sample t-testwith a significance level of 0.05. The results of this research shows that the sets based-learning of Susan Loucks Horsley’s model with setting outdoor activities meets the criteria for  validity, practicality, and effectiveness to increase science process skills and environmental care of the students. Validity of the products shown on the validation test results stating that the product reaches a very valid criteria. Practicality of the product seen from the results of the student’s response sheets which shows a very practical criteria for handouts and learning processes as well as practical for LKPD; and observation sheet feasibility study shows that apercentage feasibility study which is in the range of 91,7% until 100%. This effectiveness is also supported by t-test indicating the difference of grades study results, science process skills and environmental care of the score mean between the control and experimental class is significant with significance level of 0.05. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of collaborative based Guided Discovery in empowering critical thinking skills and social skills of students in High Plant Systematics Course. It was a quasi-experimental study with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design using one class as an experiment (pretest and posttest). The subjects of the study were 26 students of the fourth semester of Department of Biology Education, Universitas Bangun Nusantara Sukoharjo Academic Year 2015/2016. Data collection techniques were done with tests to measure analytical thinking skills and observation to measure social skills. Data analysis of the result of analytical thinking skills was quantitative descriptive using paired sample t-test, while the result of social skill observation was qualitative descriptive. Paired sample t-test resulted in a significant difference of pretest and posttest value of analytical thinking skill. The result of social skill score was nine students with very good category and seventeen students with a good category. The conclusion of the study was that collaborative based Guided Discovery effectively empowers the student’s analytical thinking and social skills.
