Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh implementasi model pembelajaran IPA berbasis kearifan lokal terhadap kreativitas dan hasil belajar siswa, serta mengetahui besar peningkatannya. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan quasi eksperimen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VII F sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VII B sebagai kelas kontrol di SMP Negeri 22 Semarang. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Aspek kreativitas yang diteliti terdiri atas kelancaran, keaslian, kesadaran dan ingatan yang diukur dengan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji independent sample t-test didapatkan signifikansi data hasil belajar siswa sebesar 0,003 0,05 dan signifikansi data hasil observasi kreativitas sebesar 0,003 0,05. Artinya ada perbedaan kreativitas dan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Besar peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,56 kategori sedang, sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,68 kategori sedang. Besar peningkatan kreativitas siswa pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,55 kategori sedang, sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,71 kategori tinggi. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa dengan model pembelajaran IPA berbasis kearifan lokal dapat meningkatkan kreativitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Pada penelitian ini nilai kearifan lokal yang diangkat yaitu Kalender Pranata Mangsa yang sudah tertanam di masyarakat Jawa. Implementation of Science Learning Model Based on Local Wisdom to Improve Creativity and Student Learning Outcomes AbstractThe aim of this study is to reveal the effect of the implementation of science learning model based on local wisdom to improve creativity and student learning outcomes, as well as knowing the magnitude of improvement. This research method uses quasi-experiment. The sample of this research is class VII F as an experimental class and VII B as control class in SMP Negeri 22 Semarang. Sample selection using purposive sampling technique. The aspects of creativity were constructing fluency, originality, awareness, and memory. Data were analyzed using independent sample t-test test the significance of the data obtained in student learning outcomes of 0,003 0,05 and the significance of the observation data from the creativity of 0.003 0.05. This means that there are differences in creativity and student learning outcomes significantly between the experimental class and control class. Great improvement of student learning outcomes in the control class of 0.56 which are medium category, while in the experimental class of 0.68 which are medium category. Great improvement of students' creativity in the control class of 0.55 which are medium category, while in the experimental class of 0.71 which are high category. The results of this study prove that the science learning model based on local wisdom can improve creativity and student learning outcomes. This study the value of local wisdom that is Calendar Pranata Mangsa already embedded in the Java communit.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal: (1) the feasibility of the developed Discovery Learning using Multiple Representations (DLMRs) model on the subject matter “Substance Pressure and its Application in Daily Life” for grade 8 students of SMP, (2) the practicality of the developed DLMRs model for science teachers and grade 8 students of SMP, and (3) the effectiveness of the developed DLMRs model in improving the science process and critical thinking skills of grade 8 students of SMP. This research is research and development adapting the development procedures by Borg Gall which consisted of 10 steps: (1) research and information collection, (2) planning, (3) developing the preliminary form of product, (4) preliminary field testing, (5) main product revision, (6) main field testing, (7) operational product revision, (8) operational field testing, (9) final product revision, and (10) dissemination and implementation. The limited trial subjects consist of 15 students of class VIII.4 SMPN 1 Watopute. The subjects of the field trial in the experimental class consist of 31 students of class VIII.1 and those in the control class consist of 32 students of class VIII.3 SMPN 1 Watopute. The used sampling technique is cluster sampling. The instrument of data collection is an essay test to measure critical thinking skills, observation sheets to measure science process skills, questionnaires to determine the readability of the DLMRs student worksheet, and questionnaires to determine student and teacher responses to DLMRs model. The data analysis technique used is the MANOVA test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that: (1) the developed DLMRs model was feasible to implement based on experts judgment, (2) the DLMRs model is practical for teaching science based on responses given by teachers and students, (3) the DLMRs model is effective for improving students' science process skills, (4) the DLMRs model is effective for enhancing students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan, kelayakan dan efektifitas SSP kimia berbasis pendidikan berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan literasi kimia dan kesadaran terhadap lingkungan peserta didik SMA. Model pengembangan diadaptasi dari model Dick Carey dengan subjek coba produk pada peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 11 Yogyakarta. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi lembar validasi, tes literasi kimia berformat benar-salah beralasan, lembar penilaian diri dan lembar penilaian antar teman terkait kesadaran terhadap lingkungan. SSP kimia divalidasi secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) SSP kimia berbasis pendidikan berkelanjutan yang dikembangkan memiliki karakteristik yang meliputi pengembangan melalui model experiential learning pada materi hidrokarbon dan indikator literasi kimia maupun kesadaran terhadap lingkungan diadaptasi dari framework PISA 2015; serta (2) SSP kimia yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dengan kategori sangat baik serta efektif untuk meningkatkan literasi kimia dan kesadaran terhadap lingkungan peserta didik SMA berdasarkan uji Kruskal-Wallis.Kata Kunci: SSP, pendidikan berkelanjutan, experiential learning, literasi kimia, kesadaran terhadap lingkungan Developing a Chemistry Subject Specific Pedagogy Based on Sustainability Education to Enhance Chemical Literacy and Environmental Awareness AbstractThe study aims to reveal the developing, the appropriateness and the effectiveness of a chemistry subject specific pedagogy based on sustainability education to enhance chemical literacy and environmental awareness of senior high school students. Developing model adapted from Dick Carey and the trial of this research product was conducted at SMA Negeri 11 Yogyakarta grade 10th students. The instruments for data collection included validation instrument, a true-false reasoning chemical literacy test, environmental awareness self assessment and peer assessment. The product was validated as qualitative and quatitative validation. The results of research shows: (1) the features of chemistry subject specific pedagogy based on sustainability education is using experiential learning was taught to hydrocarbons and the indicators for chemical literacy test and environmental awareness adapted from framework PISA 2015; and (2) the chemistry subject specific pedagogy based on sustainability education is valid to use with very good category and effective to enhance chemical literacy and environmental awareness based on Kruskal-Wallis test.Keywords: subject specific pedagogy, sustainability education, experiential learning, chemical literacy, environmental awareness.

Abstract

Chemistry is one of the subjects taught in high school. To find out and assess students' understanding regarding chemistry subjects in one semester can be proven by a test. The tests used must have good quality. This study aims to provide information about the characteristics of chemical items test using the Rasch model. Descriptive explorative was used in this study. The subject of the study were tenth grade students in Xaverius Senior High School taken the final semester examination on chemistry subject. The object of this research were  the form of item tests and student answer sheets. Data collection techniques used documentation. Student answer sheets were analyzed using the R program. The results showed that the reliability of the item tests was 0.3 to 0.54 or medium category. Subsequently acquired a good level of difficulty about which amounted to 28 items. In addition, the average student ability is 0.008 with a minimum ability of -2.309 and a maximum of 2.233. ICC and IIC obtained are very accurate in predicting students' abilities. Chemicals items used in the final semester examination  can be used by teachers as a item bank for use in the evaluation of students' abilities. However, there are two items that need to be revised level of difficulty to produce a good question.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKS biologi berbasis masalah yang layak untuk topik perubahan lingkungan/iklim dan daur ulang limbah serta mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan LKS biologi berbasis masalah terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan menurut model Borg Gall. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket validasi LKS, angket karakter peduli lingkungan, soal kemampuan pemecahan masalah, lembar observasi penilaian produk daur ulang limbah dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa LKS biologi berbasis masalah layak untuk topik perubahan lingkungan/iklim dan daur ulang limbah dilihat dari hasil penilaian pada aspek kelayakan isi, kebahasaan, penyajian dan kegrafikan termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik, LKS biologi berbasis masalah efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa.Kata Kunci: LKS biologi berbasis masalah, kemampuan pemecahan masalah, karakter peduli lingkungan Developing Problem-Based Biology Worksheet to Improve Problems Solving Skills and Environment Care Character AbstractThe purposes of this research are to produce a proper problem-based biology worksheet for the topic of environment/climate changing and waste recycling and to know the effectiveness of using the problem-based biology worksheet on the students’ problem solving skill and environment care character. This research is research and development model according to Brog and Gall The data were collected through questionnaire of worksheet and environment care character validity, the test of problem solving skills, observation sheet of assessment in waste recycling product and observation sheet of learning process. The results of the research showed that problem-based biology worksheet was appropriate for the topic of environment/climate changing and waste recycling, in terms of the contain, the language, the presentation, and the graphic of the worksheet were included in were good category, problem-based biology worksheet was effective to increase the student problem solving skill and caring environment care character.Keywords: problem-based biology worksheet, problem solving skill, environment care character

Abstract

Untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa, diperlukan inovasi-inovasi khususnya pada pembelajaran IPA.Salah satu inovasi yang dapat dilakukan adalah pengembangan bahan ajar. Dalam penelitian ini bahan ajar dikembangkan melalui proses rekonstruksi, dimana struktur konten untuk pengajaran dibangun dengan memperhatikan tujuan pendidikan serta diuraikan secara hati-hati dan dihubungkan dengan konteks dalam kehidupan nyata. Salah satu materi konten sains yang sangat dekat dengan konteks dalam kehidupan nyata adalah materi zat aditif makanan. Penggunaan zat aditif yang tidak sewajarnya muncul sebagai Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) kontroversial yang ramai dibicarakan. Penggunaan SSI sebagai konteks diharapkan dapat dijadikan penghubung permasalahan nyata di masyarakat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode RD dan desainnya adalah Model of Educational Reconstruction yang dimodifikasi.Bahan ajar dengan konteks SSI pada materi zat aditif makanan yang telah dikembangkan terdiri dari delapan sub bab. Setiap sub bab memuat deskripsi materi, daftar bacaan tambahan dan soal latihan. Penilaian bahan ajar dilakukan dengan 2 cara, yaitu validasi berdasarkan kriteria umum dan penilaian berdasarkan kriteria Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP). Hasil penilaian menunjukkan bahan ajar sudah layak dan memenuhi syarat untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran IPA di kelas VIII SMP. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar memiliki pengaruh yang besar dan dapat meningkatkan literasi sains siswa baik pada aspek kompetensi maupun sikap.Tanggapan siswa menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar dengan konteks SSI pada materi zat aditif makanan sudah dipahami dan memenuhi harapan belajar siswa.Kata kunci: bahan ajar,model of educational reconstruction, socio-scientific issues (SSI), zat aditif makanan, literasi sains Reconstruction of Learning Materials with Socio-Scientific Issues Context on Food Additives Content to Improving Student’s Scientific Literacy AbstractTo improved scientific literacy of Indonesian students, needed innovations especially for science education. One of innovation that can be done is the development of learning materials. In this research, learning materials were developed through reconstruction process,structure of content for learning was built with attention educational aims, described carefully and linked to context in the real life. One of science content that very close with context in the real life is food additives. The use of food additives were not reasonably emerged as controversial socio-scientific issues (SSI) that lively discussed. The use of SSI as context in learning materials expected to be used as link real problem in society. This research was conducted with RD method and the design is model of educational recontruction modified. Learning materials with SSI context on food additives content has been developed consist of eight sub chapter. Each sub chapter contains material description, extra reading list and prctices. Assessment of learning materials is done in two ways, validation based on the general criterias and assessment based on Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP) criterias. The resultindicated the learning materials already worthy and qualified for use in science learning process in 8th junior high school. The implementation result shows that learning materials have great influence and improve student’s scientific literacy at both competencies and attitude aspects. The student’s response suggest that learning materials with SSI context on food additives content already understood and fulfilled students learning expectation.Keywords: learning materials, model of educational reconstruction, socio-scientific issues (SSI), food additives, scientific literacy

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar IPA yang terintegrasi nilai Islam, mengetahui kelayakan dan keefektifan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan sikap dan prestasi belajar IPA. Sikap terdiri dari sikap religi dan sikap positif terhadap IPA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (RD) yang dikembangkan oleh Borg Gall. Teknik analisis data menggunakan gain score, independent t test, dan uji MANOVA. Bahan ajar dalam bentuk buku siswa MTs dan buku guru MTs. Penilaian produk buku siswa MTs  menurut ahli materi dan ahli media berkategori “sangat baik”. Buku guru MTs menurut ahli materi berkategori “baik” dan menurut ahli media berkategori “sangat baik”. Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan buku siswa MTs menunjukkan sikap religi meningkat tinggi (rerata gain score adalah 0,70), sikap positif terhadap IPA meningkat sedang (rerata gain score adalah 0,57), dan prestasi belajar IPA meningkat sedang (rerata gain score adalah 0,55).Kata Kunci: bahan ajar, buku siswa MTs, buku guru MTs, sikap, prestasi belajar Developing of Instructional Materials for Science Integrated with Islamic Values for Increasing Attitudes and Science Learning Achievement AbstractThe aims of the research was to develop instructional materials for science integrated with Islamic values, to determine the appropriateness and the effectiveness of the developed product  for increasing attitudes and science learning achievement. Attitudes is consist of religious attitudes and positive attitudes toward science. This research is Research and Development (R D) using Borg Gall model. Data analysis techniques using gain score, independent t-test, and MANOVA test. Instructional materials in the form of MTs student books and MTs teacher books. Product assessment of the MTs student books according to matter experts and media experts are categorized “very well”. The MTs teacher books according to matter experts are categorized “good”, and according to media experts is categorized “very well”. Learning to use student books showed that religious attitudes have risen high (the mean gain score is 0.70), positive attitudes towards science have risen middle (the mean gain score is 0.57), and science learning achievement have risen middle (the mean gain score is 0.55).Keywords: instructional material, MTs student books, MTs teacher books, attitudes, science learning achievement
