Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya peningkatan hasil belajar aspek kognitif dan keterampilan proses sains ditinjau dari kemampuan awal fisika siswa dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing melalui metode eksperimen. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 9 Yogyakarta pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2014/2015 yaitu 192 siswa. Sampel dipilih sebanyak dua kelas dengan menggunakan teknik cluster randomized sampling yaitu 64 siswa. Aspek keterampilan proses sains yang diteliti yaitu pengamatan, pelaksanaan penelitian, pengkomunikasian, peramalan dan penyimpulan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji MANCOVA dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan hasil belajar fisika aspek kognitif dan keterampilan proses sains ditinjau dari kemampuan awal fisika pada siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 9 Yogyakarta dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing melalui metode eksperimen.Kata Kunci: model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing, metode eksperimen, keterampilan proses sains, hasil belajar aspek kognitif. The Physics Learning with Experimental Methods to Increase Cognitive Aspects of Learning Outcomes and Science Process Skills AbstractThis study aims to investigate whether there is an increase of the cognitive aspects of learning outcomes and science process skills in terms of the first physics ablility with guided inquiry learning model through the experimental method. This type of research is quasi experimental research. The study population was all students of class X in SMA N 9 Yogyakarta in the second semester of 2014/2015 academic year as many as 192 students. The samples were as many as two classes using cluster randomized sampling technique  were 64 students. The aspects of the science process skills were constructing observations, conducting research, communicating, predicting and making inferences. The data were analyzed using MANCOVA with the significance level of 0.05. The results of the study show that there is a significant increase of the cognitive aspect of physics learning outcomes and science process skills in terms of the firts physics ability of the class X students in SMA N 9 Yogyakarta with guided inquiry learning model through the experimental methods.Keywords: guided inquiry learning model, experimental method, science process skills, cognitive aspects of learning outcomes

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar kimia peserta didik pada pembelajaran hidrokarbon dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) menggunakan Chempuzzle. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang terdiri atas dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Pada siklus I diterapkan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) menggunakan Chempuzzle pada materi hidrokarbon, sedangkan siklus II diterapkan model pembelajaran yang sama tetapi hanya pada indikator materi yang belum tuntas pada siklus I. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, angket, dan tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) menggunakan Chempuzzle dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar kimia peserta didik pada pembelajaran hidrokarbon. Peningkatan prestasi belajar aspek kognitif meningkat dari 42,9% pada siklus I menjadi 77,1% pada siklus II. Persentase aspek afektif pada siklus I adalah 100%, sehingga pada siklus II tidak dilanjutkan karena semua indikator sudah tercapai.Kata Kunci: Teams Games Tournament (TGT), chempuzzle, hidrokarbon, prestasi belajar The Implementation Tgt-Chempuzzle Of Hydrocarbon To Improve Student’s Chemistry Learning Achievement AbstractThis research aims to improve student’s chemistry learning achievement of Hydrocarbon with the implementation of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model using Chempuzzle. This research was a Classrom Action Research which consist two cycles. Each cycles consist of planning, action, observation, dan reflection phases. Both use Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model using Chempuzzle in hydrocarbon material, but on the second cycle only use unfinished indicators in the first cycle. Data were collected through interview, observation, questionnaire, and test. Data were analyzed by technique of qualitative descriptive. The result of the research showed that the implementation of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model using Chempuzzle could improve student’s chemistry learning achievement of hydrocarbon. The improvement of student’s learning achievement cognitive aspect increase from 42,9% in the first cycle to 77,1% in the second cycle. The affective aspect percentage in the first cycle was 100%, so the second cycle is discontinued because all indicators have been achieved.Keywords: Teams Games Tournament (TGT), chempuzzle, hydrocarbon, learning achievement

Abstract

The aim of this research is to applied Discovery Learning (DL) by the support of hierarchy concept to improve analysis ability and chemistry study achievement in the Hydrolysis subject at eleventh-grade students of Science 1 of SMA N Karangpandan at the academic year of 2016/2017. This research is using Classroom Action Research which using two cycles. In each cycle has four steps of action, they are planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The research subject is the eleventh-grade students of science one which consists of 40 students. The data source is using teacher and students and the data were taken by interviewing, observing, documenting, testing, and using questionnaire. Data analysis technique is using descriptive qualitative analysis. Based on the research shows that the achievement of analysis cycle I am from 52,5% increase into 65% in the cycle II. Meanwhile, the rise in students’ achievement in cognitive aspect increase from 57,5% in cycle I to 75% in cycle II. Achievement in an affective aspect in cycle I am 90% become 92,5% in cycle II. Therefore, there is the increase meant of students number in this aspect although in cycle I all of the indicator has been reached.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa dilihat dari aspek makroskopis, mikroskopis dan simbolik dalam memahami konsep. Fenomena pembelajaran kimia yang ditemukan hampir selalu terfokus pada tingkat makroskopik berupa rumus dan angka, sedangkan tingkat yang sering luput dari pengematan adalah tingkat mikroskopik dan simbolik seperti penyajian diagram dan proses reaksi kimia.Salah satu sifat dari ilmu kimia adalah cenderung bersifat abstrak dan kompleks, seperti proses terjadinya reaksi elektrolisis dimana terjadi pergerakan partikel yang tidak dapat diamati oleh mata sehingga sering terjadi miskonsepsi dalam memahami konsep kimia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan pendekantan kuantitatif dilakukan pada mahasiswa semester satu sebanyak 40 orang di prodi Farmasi Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. Hamka. Sampel penelitian ini diambil secara purposive random sampling dengan kuisioner. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil pemahaman mahasiswa pada konsep elektrokimia dilihat dari level makroskopis sebesar 72.75% kategori baik, level mikroskopis sebesar 66.25% kategori baik dan simbolik adalah 70% kategori baik. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan aspek makroskopis, mikroskopis, simbolik dapat menanamkan konsep secara utuh. Analysis of macroscopic, microscopic and symbolic levels of students in understanding electrochemistry AbstractThis research aims to find out the students’ comprehension from the macroscopic, microscopic, and symbolic aspects of the concept. The phenomenon of chemistry learning that is found almost focused on the macroscopic level in the form of formulas and numbers, while the level that often missed in some observation is microscopic and symbolic levels; such as diagramming and chemical reaction processes. One of the characteristics of chemistry tends to be abstract and complex, as the process of electrolysis reaction in which the particle movement can’t be observed so that misconceptions often occur in understanding chemical concepts. This study uses quasi-experimental methods with quantitative approach conducted by 40 semester students in the first semester of Pharmacy at the University of Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. Hamka. The research sample was taken by purposive random sampling with a questionnaire. Based on the result, the students’ comprehension of the electrochemistry concept have 72,75% good category in macroscopic level, 66,25% good category in microscopic level, and 70% good category in symbolic. So, it can be concluded that learning with macroscopic, microscopic, and symbolic could fulfill the concept perfectly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengembangkan media pembelajaran kimia berbasis Android pada materi kelarutan; (2) menguji tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan; serta (3) menguji pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan terhadap performa akademik peserta didik SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development dengan mengadaptasi model Borg Gall yang dimodifikasi menjadi lima tahap, yaitu pengumpulan informasi, perencanaan produk, pengembangan produk, validasi produk, dan evaluasi produk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) software media pembelajaran kimia berbasis Android pada materi kelarutan telah tersusun dengan mendapat masukan dari validator, teman sejawat dan pendidik kimia; (2) media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dinilai layak digunakan pada pembelajaran kimia ditinjau dari penilaian aspek materi dan aspek media; serta (3) penggunaan media pembelajaran kimia yang dikembangkan memberikan pengaruh pada peningkatan performa akademik peserta didik SMA.Kata Kunci: media pembelajaran, motivasi belajar, hasil belajar, kimia, kelarutan. Developing Android-Based Instructional Media of Solubility to Improve Academic Performance of High School Students AbstractThis study aims to: (1) develop android-based chemistry instructional media  on solubility; (2) proof the feasibility of the developed chemistry instructional media; and (3) proof the effect of using the developed instructional media to the high school students academic performance. This study is classified to research and development that adapted  Borg Gall models modified into five steps: information collecting, product planning, product developing, product validation, and product evaluating. The results of this research are: (1) a software of android-based chemistry instructional media was developed; (2) the developed instructional media were appropriate for teaching, in terms of material and media aspects evaluation; and (3) using of the developed instructional media improved the high school students academic performance.Keywords: instructional media, learning motivation, learning outcome, chemistry, solubility.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan dan kelayakan web-LKS IPA terintegrasi lingkungan lahan gambut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model 4D (define, design, develop, dan disseminate) dan desain penelitian pretest posttest control group design. Penilaian kelayakan produk web-LKS IPA dilakukan oleh ahli materi, ahli media untuk kelayakan produk, guru IPA sebagai penilai kepraktisan dan respon siswa untuk mengetahui keterbacaan produk. Perolehan skor hasil penilaian kelayakan oleh ahli materi sebesar 53 (sangat baik) pada skor maksimal 56, oleh ahli media sebesar 38 (sangat baik) pada skor maksimal 40 dan penilaian kepraktisan oleh guru IPA dengan skor 53 (sangat baik) pada skor maksimal 56. Uji keterbacaan oleh siswa memperoleh persentase sebesar 95% dengan respon positif. Hasil skor gain ternormalisasi menunjukkan peningkatan dalam pembelajaran dengan perolehan skor rata-rata sebesar 0,51 pada kelas eksperimen dan tergolong pada kategori tinggi. Uji independent sample t test digunakan untuk mengetahui keefektifan dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 ( 0.05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan web-LKS IPA terintegrasi lingkungan lahan gambut efektif meningkatkan literasi lingkungan siswa SMP Negeri 1 Pelaihari. Web-LKS natural science integrated local potential of peatlands to increase student environmental literacy  AbstractThis study aims to determine the effectiveness and feasibility of an integrated IPA LKS web environment. This research is a development research with a 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate) and a pretest posttest control group design. Assessment of the feasibility of science-based LKS web products is carried out by material experts, media experts for product feasibility, science teachers as assessors of practicality and student responses to know the readability of the product. The score obtained by the feasibility assessment by material experts was 53 (very good) at a maximum score of 56, by media experts at 38 (very good) at a maximum score of 40 and practicality assessment by science teachers with a score of 53 (very good) at a maximum score of 56. Readability test by students gets a percentage of 95% with a positive response. The normalized gain score results showed an increase in learning with the acquisition of an average score of 0.51 in the experimental class and belonging to the high category. The independent sample t test was used to determine effectiveness with a significance value of 0,000 ( 0.05). The results showed that science learning by using an integrated science-based LKS web environment effectively improved peatland environmental literacy of Pelaihari 1 Junior High School students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pengaruh model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 2 Magelang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest. Analisis data menggunakan uji t. Hasil perhitungan perbedaan rata-rata posttest pada kedua kelompok untuk kemampuan berpikir kritis menunjukkan nilai hitung sebesar 2,45 dan ttabel dengan signifikasi 0,05% dengan dk 62 = 2,00 sedangkan untuk kemampuan berpikir kreatif menunjukkan nilai hitung sebesar 3,43 dan ttabel dengan signifikansi 0,05% dengan dk 62 = 2,00. Hasil perhitungan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa thitung ttabel. Hal ini berarti hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak. Dengan demikian, terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan terdapat pengaruh model Pembelajaran Berdasarkan Masalah terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada konsep pencemaran lingkungan.Kata Kunci: penggunaan model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah, kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. The Effect of the Problem-Based Teaching Model on the Critical Thinking Skills and Creative Thinking Skills of the Students of SMA AbstractThis study aimed to determine the effect of the use of problem-based teaching model on the critical thinking skills and effect of the use of problem-based teaching model on the creative thinking skills of students on environmental pollution materials. The research was conducted at SMAN 2 Magelang. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest. The data analysis used the t test. The result of the calculation of the posttest average of the difference between the two groups for critical thinking skills shows the calculated value of 2.45 and ttable with the significance level of 0.05% with 62 df = 2.00, while for the ability to think creatively the calculated value of 3.43 shows the ttable with the significance level of 0.05% with 62 df = 2.00. This shows that t ttable. This means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Thus, there is an effect of the use of problem-based teaching model on the critical and creative thinking skills of the students on the concept of environmental pollution.Keywords: use of problem-based teaching model, critical and creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan sikap ilmiah dan prestasi belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing pada materi pokok kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan kelas XI MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 yang terdiri dari 30 siswa. Objek penelitian adalah sikap ilmiah siswa dan prestasi belajar kimia siswa. Sumber data adalah siswa dan guru. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui metode observasi, wawancara, dokumen/arsip, angket dan tes. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa pencapaian sikap ilmiah pada siklus I sebesar 60% dan pada siklus II menjadi 93%. Peningkatan prestasi belajar aspek pengetahuan pada siklus I diperoleh ketuntasan belajar sebesar 63% dan pada siklus II menjadi 93%. Pada prestasi belajar siswa aspek sikap dan aspek keterampilan ketercapaian ketuntasan siswa pada siklus I sebesar 100%,sehingga tidak dilanjutkan ke siklus II karena semua indikator sudah terpenuhi.Kata Kunci: inkuiri terbimbing, kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan, penelitian tindakan kelas, prestasi belajar, sikap ilmiah Implementation of Guided Inquiry Model to Improve Behaviour Scientific and Student’s Chemistry Learning Achievement AbstractThe aims of the research were to improve scientific behaviour and student’s learning achievement by implementing guided inquiry model on primary material of solubility and solubility product at XI MIPA 3 students of SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta in the academic year of 2015/2016. This research was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was held in two cycles. The research subject was the students of class XI MIPA 3 at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta in the academic year of 2015/2016 consisted of 30 students. The object of research was the behavior scientific and student’s chemistry learning achievement. Source of data were students and teacher. Data was obtained through observations, interviews, document, questionnaires, and test. The data were analyzed using technique of qualitative descriptive analysis. The result of the research can be seen from cycle I the percentage of student’s scientific behaviour was 60% and increased to 93% in the cycle II. Improved learning achievement on knowledge aspect from 63% in cycle I to 93% in cycle II. Attitude aspect and skill aspect, the improvement has reached 100%, so it was not continued to cycle 2 since all off the indicators have been accomplished before.Keywords: guided inquiry, solubility and solubility product, classroom action research, learning achievement, scientific behaviour
