Abstract

Data from the Indonesian Child Protection Commission noted that 34%Children deal with the law, one of the cases is bully. The bully case is one proof of thesocial sensitivity of the elementary students. The program for basic education thatcan be pursued to increase social sensitivity is through multicultural education andthe theory of humanism. This study uses a literature study method that collects several reference journals and textbooks. The results of the research are collaborative methods of multicultural-based education and humanism theory when classroom learning is more effective for improving social sensitivity for elementary school students.

Abstract

This study is carried out to describe the finding of students career planning model that is able to guarantee thier career improvement in work. The study was done in three SMK (vocational school) which has economics, technics, and food departement in Surakarta. Purposive sampling is selected to take SMK and based on the assumption that SMK prepares their students to enter the work. This study uses Borg and Gall model with simplification its steps. Those are (1) preliminary study, (2) model development, and (3) final model. To collect the data, he uses observation, indepth interview, quessionare, and documentation. The main instrument of this study is the researcher himself, and the assintant instruments are principals, teachers, students, parents, and department of education. The results show that the level of successness of the implementation of the finding of students career planning model is effective. It can be seen from the increase of measurement result of model application and the increase of the school in implementing soft skill and satisfaction of the user

Abstract

Bonus demografi harus diimbangi dengan penguatan pendidikan karakter agar tercipta bangsa yang maju dan bermatabat. Pendidikan karakter membutuhkan suatu proses yaitu antara lain melalui pembiasaan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan menerapkan penguatan pendidikan karakter melalui adab makan bersama di kelas. Jenis penelitian kualitatif fenomenologi di SD Negeri Cemara Dua Surakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dengan metode interaktif. Hasil penelitian,   sekolah merupakan habitat yang tepat untuk penguatan karakter para generasi emas terutama bagi siswa. Kegiatan adab makan bersama di kelas dilaksanakan dengan tiga tahapan yaitu persiapan makan, ketika makan dan sesuadah makan. Nilai utama karakter yang dikuatkan yaitu  nilai religiousitas, nilai nasionalisme, nilai mandiri, nilai gotong-royong dan nilai intergritas. Karakter dapat tercipta karena adanya kebiasaan. Penguatan pendidikan karakter melalui adab makan bersama di kelas sangat direkomendasikan untuk di implementasikan di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims at know 1) in the contribution learning strategy for achievement; 2) contribution communication math for achievement; 4) the interaction learning strategy shown from the communication math for achievement. This was a quasi-experimental study employing the nonequivalent comparison-group design. This study involved two experimental groups. The sampel comprised Grade V students of SDN I Pengkok consisting of 2  classes to determine the class receiving the treatment of the cooperative learning model of the TGT  and the one receiving that of the TTW . The research instruments consisted of test and non-test instruments. The data were analyzed by theunivariate technique, namely the independent sample t-test  ata significance level of 5%. The data were analyzed  using the three way anova at a significance level of 5%. Follow up by a scheffe test fortwo-tailed test. The results of the study show that; 1) students who taught with TGT  get higher achievement; 2) the students who have high math communication competence have better achieve- ment; 4) the students who taught TGT type get higher achievement and the students have  high math communication competence get achievement

Abstract

Implementation of managerial supervision is the activities carried profesioal superintendent of schools in order to assist the principal in order to improve the quality and effectiveness of the education and learning. This study aimed to describe the managerial supervision planning, implementation of managerial supervision, and feedback managerial supervision supervisor in Dabin 7 UPTD District of Purwodadi. Qualitative research and ethnography with research subjects school supervisors and principals. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques to the analysis of the flow of the process of collecting data through data reduction, data display and verification. The validity of the data using triangulation and source. The results of the study, 1) Planning managerial supervision include, a. Preparation of supervision schedule manajejerial, b. Preparation of Instrument managerial supervision, c. Compile a list of schools to be supervised. 2) Implementation of supervision manajerial.Ada three stages in the implementation of managerial supervision, namely, initial activity, performance or core activities and the closing 3) The function of feedback is to improve the managerial supervision findings of non-compliance or overcome the problems identified, so as to improve the quality and effectiveness of education.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji kontribusi penampilan guru dalam pembelajaran, motivasi, dan fasilitas terhadap hasil belajar matematika dengan mediasi kedisiplinan belajar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif korelasional kausal. Populasi penelitian sejumlah 190 siswa kelas VII Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 6 Salatiga tahun 2016/2017. Sampel penelitian sejumlah 128 siswa ditentukan dengan rumus Slovin (α = 0,05). Teknik sampling, proporsional random sampling dirtentukan dengan undian. Data dikumpulkan dengan dokumentasi dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada kontribusi penampilan guru dalam pembelajaran, motivasi, dan fasilitas terhadap hasil belajar matematika dengan mediasi kedisiplinan belajar (10%, sig. = 0,011). Penampilan guru dalam pembelajaran berkontribusi secara langsung terhadap hasil belajar matematika (0,54%, sig. = 0,412). Motivasi belajar berkontribusi secara tidak langsung terhadap hasil belajar matematika melalui kedisiplinan belajar (22,1%, sig. = 0,000). Fasilitas belajar berkontribusi secara langsung terhadap hasil belajar matematika (0,0009%, sig. = 0.997). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran matematika di Sekolah Menengah Pertama menjadi baik karena dukungan dari penampilan guru dalam pembelajaran, motivasi, dan fasilitas dengan mediasi kedisiplinan belajar.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to describe language teaching using genre approach, to describe the problems faced by students and lecturers at Language Center UMS, and to de- scribe the strengths and weaknesses of this approach in which the approach  is compared with a previous  method. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. It uses informant and docu- ment sources. The informants are the students of semester 2 and  the lecturers of Speaking Acqui- sition 2 at UMS. The techniques used in data collecting are by giving questionnaire, doing an in- terview, observing, and giving a test. The result of the research shows that (1) teaching English using genre approach has not been effective yet. The ineffectiveness of this approach is caused by (a) the lecturers, who still do not understand the concept of genre and how to teach it to the stu- dents, (b) the topic of dialogue is not interesting to the students, (c) the exercises of the book are not various, and (d) the students are not well-motivated by the lecturers. (2) Genre approach in teaching English is one of the methods to develop student and lecturer’s activity on speaking abil- ity. (3) The weakness of this approach is that the students are still lack of mastery on vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. Based on the finding, it is suggested for the policy maker at LC to hold a workshop on teaching Speaking based on genre approach. The materials on workshop should be focused on teaching speaking for a big class, the method on giving the task or assign- ment, and the ways to evaluate it. It is also suggested that the curriculum should cover Reading Subject which can be used to emphasize on students vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe character education through improving the quality ofhigh school graduates. This type of research is qualitative research. The research subjectsare researchers and research objects of educators and students. Data collection methodsthrough observation, tests and documentation. The data analysis technique was carriedout in a descriptive qualitative manner with a flow model consisting of data collection,data reduction, data presentation, verification and conclusion drawing. The results ofthis study indicate that: (1) Thustworthiness character education by recognizing that thequestions tested are considered difficult so that it needs to study extra hard and smartlike working on HOTS questions, and strict examination supervision in accordance withexisting provisions. (2) Caring character education by celebrating graduation withoutconvoys and scribbles that violates the safety and order of others and distributes fastbreaking takjil for people who are at the intersection of lights on the highway. (3)Respect character education by respecting and respecting the achievement of academic results among students and not doing things that disturb others such as convoys that cause noise. (4) Citizenship character education by celebrating graduates by not violating school rules and not violating road traffic laws. (5) Responsibility character education by waiting for announcements in accordance with school rules, whatever academic results obtained remain grateful and ontinue to the next step by utilizing academic results to the fullest.

Abstract

This study aims at evaluating: (1) the difference of students’ mathematics learning achievement viewed from two different learning methods, (2) the difference of students’ mathematics learning achievement viewed from different learning styles, (3) the effect of interaction between teaching methods and learning styles on students’ mathematics learning achievement. This study is a quantitative research with quasiexperimental research design. The population of this study is 210 students of 10thgrade of SMA MTA Surakarta. Two classes were chosen for the sample of this study by cluster random sampling. The first class was treated using Conceptual Understanding Procedures (CUPs) method and the second class was treated using Mind Mapping method. The data collection was conducted using test, questionnaire, and documentation. Morever, the data was analized using different number of cell analysis of variance with 5% significance level. The conclusion are: (1) there is difference on student’s mathematics learning achievement viewed from two different learning methods, Conceptual Understanding Procedures (CUPs) a give better achievement than Mind Mapping, (2) there is no difference on students’ learning achievement viewed from different learning styles, (3) there is no effect of interaction between teaching methods and learning styles on students’ mathematics learning achievement.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian mendeskripsikan peningkatan koneksi dan hasil belajar matematika melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran kontekstual. Penelitian menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Sumber data, guru dan siswa kelas 8.3 semester genap MTs Negeri 1 Pemalang 2019/2020. Metode pengumpulan data, observasi, catatan lapangan, dokumentasi, dan tes. Data dianalisis secara komparatif konstanta dan interaktif. Validitas data, triangulasi sumber dan metode. Hasil penelitian, penerapan strategi pembelajaran kontekstual dapat meningkatkan koneksi dan hasil belajar matematika. (1) Peningkatan koneksi matematika, (a) kemampuan menyampaikan materi dengan baik kepada teman satu kelompok dalam diskusimeningkat 40,54%, (b) kemampuan mengarahkan dan mau berbagi caradengan menjelaskan tahapan-tahapan dalam penyelesaian soal dengan teman sebaya baik dalam kerja kelompok ataupun tidakmeningkat45,94%, (c) keberanian maju ke depan kelas untuk menyampaikan dan menjelaskan pendapat ataupun mengerjakan soal tanpa harus ditunjuk oleh gurumeningkat 27,03%, (d) kemampuan berkomunikasi secara efektif dengan orang lain dalam mencari tahu solusi dalam penyelesaian masalah (soal) meningkat 43,25%, dan (e) kemampuan menyelesaiakan soal dengan konsep yang benar dan matangmeningkat 43,24%. (2) Peningkatan hasil belajar matematika meningkat 45,95%.
