Abstract

Working posture can affect the comfort and productivity of labor in doing manual work. In this study, RULA method is used to determine the risk level of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) injury in the production process at PT. Indana Paint (consists of mixing and packaging steps for water-based paint, solvent-based paint, and base paint production), and then given proposed improvements to reduce the risk level. Method used in this research is direct observation and video recording of every work element to determine some awkward postures that will be assessed using RULA method. Thirty awkward postures are found, there are 7 working posture (23.3%) have low risk level, 11 working posture (36.7%) have medium risk level, and 12 working posture (40%) have high risk level. Proposed improvements given is to brief the workers on appropriate lifting technique and working methods, adding mechanical aids for handling drums, and working position height adjustment.

Abstract

Human Resources (HR) is the most important asset in a company. Employees can be a good potential if managed properly and correctly, but employees can also be a burden if the company can not manage it properly. As the increase in the industry, particularly coal mining industry in East Kalimantan is always the problem that arises is the possibility of the occurrence of occupational accidents, occupational diseases, and environmental pollution. The occurrence of occupational accidents, occupational diseases, and environmental pollution due to poor human resource management can reduce employee productivity and company. Research objectives to be achieved is describing the safety and health of employees produkitivitas particularly in the production of PT. XYZ, Loa Kulu aquatic mammal, and to know the significant influence of each variable. Survey respondents were employees in the production of  PT. XYZ, Loa Kulu aquatic mammal with a high of 165 employees. By using the Slovin formula can be determined that a sample of respondents is as many as 99 employees.Based on the description of each item answer the answer of respondents indicated that employees responded positively to the questions given. Multiple regression analysis showed that there were significant effects of occupational safety and health of employee productivity, it can be seen from the significance of each variable is significant <0.05. Significance X1 to Y by 0.000, and the significance of X2 to Y by 0.017. Can be inferred by looking at the results of studies showing that the implementation of occupational safety and health on the productivity of employees of PT. XZY  Loa Kulu Kukar, generally not very good, is expected to be further enhanced supervision.

Abstract

PT. PAH merupakan sebuah industri pemotongan batu magma (magma stone) yang terletak di jalan Magelang Km. 15 Yogyakarta. Di perusahaan pemotongan batu ini terdapat 3 ukuran pemotongan yaitu sirkel besar (diameter 160 cm), sirkel sedang (diameter 60 - 90 cm) dan sirkel kecil (diameter 30 - 50 cm). Penelitian ini khususnya pada pemotongan batu besar, dimana terdapat keluhan kelelahan operator yang terdiri dari operator utama dan operator pembantu. Penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat beban kerja fisik operator pemotong batu besar (sirkel 160) dengan metode 10 denyut. Dalam penelitian ini ditentukan lama waktu istirahat yang dibutuhkan operator utama maupun pembantu. Selanjutnya dilakukan implementasi waktu istirahat tersebut dan dilakukan pengukuran kembali untuk mengetahui penurunan denyut nadi kerja operator. Penerapan waktu istirahat tersebut membawa penurunan DNK operator masuk kategori ringan dan % CVL masuk kategori tidak terjadi kelelahan.

Abstract

Determination of temporary shelters garbage (TPS) and the final disposal site (TPA) is a very important, that pile of garbage does not interfere the daily activity of society, their comforts, and the beauty of the city. City government has set the TPS at all kelurahan, such as in Kota Jakarta Timur.  There are a number of polls spread over 60 kelurahan and 10 districts. Meanwhile, the TPA is available only 3 locations spread and allocated to accommodate waste from around the TPS in Jakarta. Therefore in this study developed a model of urban waste disposal site selection based on their shortest distance using binary integer linear programa method with the help of microsoft excel solver. As for the data used in them is the location of the TPS and TPA, as well as the distance between them, which is derived from Dinas Kebersihan Jakarta Timur, Central Board of Statistics (BPS), and google maps. Optimization model is expected to help the government in determining the exact location of each TPA TPS.

Abstract

Lemuru fisheries in Bali strait, Muncar, Banyuwangi has strategic role for fish canning industries. Sardinella lemuru has low economic value as fresh fish but high as fish canning. Fisheres production system must be viewed as a whole value added system, starting from landing site at fisheries port to fish processing industries and distributed to the consumers. Lemuru from Muncar fishery port are distributed to canning industries, cold storage, flour and fish oil industries. This research aims to (1) describe fish distribution pattern from landing site to industries, (2) determine fish processing cost in industries, (3) determine the economic added value of lemuru as various products. Data collection method are interview with fisher and industries, direct observation and secondary data from research report and scientific publication. Cost in fish processing industries is classified as investment cost, operating cost and overhead cost. The totalcost will becompared to the product price, from which the differenceis theadded value.  Value-added creation also considers the conversion rate between fresh fish products into finished products. Research  shows that, among the fish processing industries under consideration, canning industry has highest added value in the amount of USD 3.5 million/ton of finished product. For the canning industry, every 1 ton of fish can equal be converted to 1,5 ton of canned fish products. Flour and fish oil industry, in the meantime, generates added value of Rp 2.3million/ton. Finally, cold storage industry has lowest added value of 1.8 million/ton of product. Cold storage industry produces frozen fish and has a function for storing fish production in the harvest season.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to design the alternative table - chair to paint batik by using an ergonomics anthropometry. Firstly, it can be concluded that the results of measurements to design the seat height is 450mm, the width of stools should be smaller than the width of the hips in order to obtain seat width is 380mm, the depth of seat is 400mm, the width of seat back is 380mm, the height of back rest is 500mm and height of back rest is 380mm. Secondly, the height of front table is 700mm, the slope of table is 150o. They facilitate the hand movement to reach out paraffin and paint batik. The height of rear table is 1000mm. Thirdly, to put stove the table height is 600mm and the length and width of the table are 300mm x 300mm . The diameter size of of the stove should be adjusted. Finally, the use of a higher seat and the process of taking a wax liquid should be adjustable with the table height that can reduce the posture and position in working for hours.

Abstract

PKS “XYZ” merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang pengolahan kelapa sawit. Produk yang dihasilkan adalah Crude Palm Oil (CPO) dan Palm Kernel Oil (PKO). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisa kehilangan minyak (oil losses) dan faktor-faktor penyebab dengan menggunakan metoda Statistical Process Control. Statistical Process Control adalah sekumpulan strategi, teknik, dan tindakan yang diambil oleh sebuah organisasi untuk memastikan bahwa strategi tersebut menghasilkan produk yang berkualitas atau menyediakan pelayanan yang berkualitas. Sampel terjadinya oil losses pada CPO yang diteliti adalah tandan kosong (tankos), biji (nut), ampas (fibre), dan sludge akhir. Berdasarkan Peta Kendali I-MR dapat disimpulkan bahwa kondisi keempat jenis oil losses CPO berada dalam batas kendali dan konsisten.  Sedangkan nilai Cpk dari total oil losses berada di luar batas kendali rata-rata proses, hal ini berarti CPO yang diproduksi telah memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggan, dengan total oil losses kurang dari batas maksimum yang ditetapkan oleh perusahaan yaitu 1,65%.

Abstract

The techniques and the principles of work system can improve efficiency and work productivity. Work system consists of several work elements. They are man, material, environment, method, and equipment. The elements is interconnected each others. The elements was influent efficiency and work productivity. Efficiency is important in the work system. The purposes of the research is design of work facilitiess, so that can improve work productivity. Inefficiency of work motion and work facility can influent work productivity. Work posture can analyzed RULA method. The score of work postures were 5,6, and 7. The high scores have indicate that the facilities must be investigated and must be changed. The workers need to work facility to prevent musculoskeletal injury.

Abstract

Agar pelayanan yang dilakukan di bagian administrasi mahasiswa Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi UIN SUSKA Riau dapat memenuhi keinginan mahasiswa maka dilakukan perbaikan kualitas yang menitikberatkan pada pemenuhan keinginan mahasiswa. Perbaikan kualitas menggunakan metode Quality Function Deployment dapat menerjemahkan keinginan mahasiswa ke dalam tindkan perbaikan kualitas dari bagian administrasi fakultas. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh beberapa tindakan sebagai usulan perbaikan kualitas pelayanan yaitu membuat SOP pengurusan administrasi dan mensosialisasikannya, menentukan waktu tiap bentuk pengurusan administrasi, melakukan perencanaan kebutuhan administrasi mahasiswa dan perpustakaan sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi, pegawai administrasi sebaiknya menguasai keahlian administrasi, pegawai administrasi memperlihatkan sikap dan kepribadian yang baik, dan dilakukan pengontrolan terhadap pelayanan administrasi.

Abstract

PT . Gaya Motor is a manufacturing company that is engaged in the assembly and production of automotive components incorporated in the group of PT Astra International.Perusahaan implement inventory control system Just In Time.Kanban’s supplier with safety stock of 0.5 days plus a safety stock of 0.5 extra days beyond the kanban. The study was conducted on the material supply products Main Floor Side LH SA - 001 , SA - 002 , SA - 003 , SA - 004 , SA - 005 , SA - 006 , SA - 007 , SA - 008 and SA - 009. Problems faced by the company are the high amount of inventory caused by inaccurate inventory systems and fault current in raw material procurement procedures. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the companys current inventory control system and propose improvements inventory control system that can minimize inventory costs compared to the cost of inventory at the companys current inventory system.Kanban inventory method supplier company currently has a total cost of inventory of Rp 318.861.462,00. Supplier kanban inventory control methods with safety stock kanban 0.1 days has a total cost of inventory of Rp 158.703.378,00. Inventory control methods Two - Bin Replenishment has a total inventory cost of Rp 98.497.214,00. From the results of these calculations, the minimum inventory cost obtained by using the method of inventory Two - Bin Replenishment, and made proposals related to changes in inventory control system.
