Abstract

Investment is one of important component for sustainable economic development process. The research objective that want achieved is to estimate influence of labour, inflation, PDRB, and interest rate to domestic investment (PMDN) in Central Java. The research benefit was to clarify factors that influenced domestic investment and gave insight and input for local government in formulating economy policy. One of method for analysing long-run and short run influence was by using dynamic model. In this research, model which applied was ENGLE GRANGER ERROR CORRECTION MODEL (EG-ECM) based on granger representation theoremResult of this research indicated that domestic investment one year ago was variable which influenced significantly in short run while rate of interest influenced in long run.

Abstract

This research is aimed at understanding the relation pattern of the current transaction balance and Indonesian rate of exchange in 1981-2002. The analysis method used is Granger causality method. Yet, before doing the Granger causality test, it was carried out data stationary test to avoid fake correlation. Stationary test shows that the data are not stationary so that it was made stationary by using one different level. The result of Granger causality analysis shows that it happen only one direction causality relation from the deficit of current account towards the rate of exchange because it has smaller counting F value then the determined a.

Abstract

This research analyze the effect of regional autonomy to the interest of college’s student candidate to continue studying in Sleman Regency which research’s samples for major program’s chosen was Accounting, Management, and Economics in UII, UAJY, UPNVY, and STIE YKPN. The result of research with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Matrix shows that each major program in four universities and college was in different quadrant. Therefore, each university and college has to choose different development strategic specifically even for each major programs in each university and college, so that the major programs in four universities and college in Sleman Regency could grow and rise.

Abstract

The study intends to describe the participation of farmers in the dryland crop based Land Conservation Index (LCI), describes the factors that affect the implementation of land conservation, and develop models to improve the participation of farmers in land conservation. Research carried out in Sub DAS upstream of Solo river. All of the food crop farmers from the Pundung villages totaling 68 family heads as respondents. The results of a study of farmers in conserving land at a moderate level. Model to improve the implementation of land conservation is increasing: land area, ownership ruminants, a family member who worked, and level of education, and empowerment to increase participation in land conservation in the parameter is still low, namely: planting plants to strengthen terracing, mulching or manure, planting annual crops on sloping land, crop rotation, and a sense of responsibility of farmers.

Abstract

The study aimed to find novel innovation and research of subsidized fertilizers based on soil nutrient variability and farmer’s perception in rice farming. This study uses a completely randomized design with four natural treatments, a one-way Anova and Tukey HSD Test as well as multiple linear and cubic regressions. The fertilizer uniformity on varied ricefields was a big failure because it causes fertilization becoming ineffective, inefficient and unsustainable. Ricefield variability (due to geomorphogenesis, pedogenesis, interflow flow, vegetation distribution, land use patterns, and fertilizer application) causes not optimized fertilization (dose, balance, time, methods of fertilization). The perception of farmers can create conflicts of interest, which are determined as normal, unavoidable and natural.  Short-term research target is how fertilization in the field is done effectively, efficiently, and sustainably, whereas long-term target is to generate new sources of wealth, fertilization technology based on soil science knowledge, forming professional researcher, the great inventions of patents, cooperation media between scientists, technocrats and bureaucrats and research funding.

Abstract

Abstract             Effect of credit on economic growth, unemployment and poverty provides evidence from Indonesia on the role of banks credit for promoting economic growth and reducing both unemployment and poverty.  To document the link between banks credit and economic growth, we estimate a VAR model and variance decompositions of annual GDP per capita growth rates to examine what proxy measures of banks credit are most important in accounting for economic growth over time and how much they contribute to explaining economic growth.  We also estimate an ECM to document the relationship between banks credit to both unemployment and poverty. This paper revealed bi-direction causality between banks credit and economic growth.  Banks credit promotes economic growth and economic growth affects credit depth and financial development.  Furthermore, banks credit is a growth accelerating factor on Indonesian economic growth.  Banks credit is an endogenous growth and a good predictor on Indonesian economy. Our estimation model explained that credit allocated by banks increases business escalation to the real sectors then promotes economic growth, decreases unemployment rate through increasing in labor demanded, increases income and then decrease poverty.  This overall transmission mechanism just occurred through presence of banks credit by increasing money supply to the real sectors, promotes growth and social welfare. Keywords :  banks credit, economic growth, growth accelerating factor, poverty, unemployment JEL Classification : E51, E52, E58

Abstract

The issue in this research is how to improve society ability through process human and physical capital. The relation between capital and ability improvement will be examined in this research by placing process empowerment as mediating variable to explain the activities involved. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. The primary data was collected using survey method technique through questionnaire. Furthermore statistical analysis was used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) of Smart Partial Least Square. This research has found two ways as path patterns directed to the increasing of society ability, which are (1) pattern consist of “two creating stage” to society ability, and (2) These pattern show that to improve society ability need “three stage” of process activity. The correlation is while the empowerment process increases higher, it will impulse the creating of society ability. The implementation of this research’s result, stated that if the empowerment wants to develop human capital, it will be better if the empowerment is supported by apply the developing ability of subject empowerment.

Abstract

The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a decision and planning which has received a great deal of attention in the past few years from both prettiness of the art/science of planning, and from theoreticians interested in this innovative approach in planning. This paper it is shown that to demonstrated used a simulation analysis measurement involved in the AHPs theory the one of how to derive priority vectors from matrix ofpairwise comparisons has found an especially large interest. Following the concept, AHP server as framework for people to structure their own problem and provide judgements based on knowledge, season on felling, to derive a set of priorities considered as an optimal solution to decision problem.

Abstract

This research analyzes the system of food expenditure based on the household food security level in Central Java. The household food security levels are classified into four levels, consisting of food-secure, food-less secure, food-vulnerable and food-insecure. The data used are the Susenas data in the form of raw data. The results show that there are significant differences in the proportion of food expenditure among the households of food-secure and food-less secure to the households of food-vulnerable and food-insecure. In each level of household food-secure, household expenditure on instant foods and drinks shows the highest proportion compared to other food groups. The more insecure foods in a household, the higher expenditure proportion for tobacco. In each household group based on the level of food-secure, the households in urban areas have a smaller proportion of rice expenditure compared to the households in rural areas. Based on these results, hopefully the handling priority for the foodsecure problem should be better given to the household groups of food-vulnerable and foodinsecure.

Abstract

Indonesias government has been encouraging privatization programfor their corporation (BUMN). This program exists due to two mainreasons. First, privatization could be a way to solve the fiscal deficitproblem. Second, it proves to be one of the logical way to increaseBUMNs performance. This articles tries to analyze privatization byusing institutional economics approach. Institutional means aconvention or an appropriate manner in humans behavior whichresults a predictability in human inter-relationship. The tools ofanalyses of institutional economics is The Hierarchy of Public PolicyModel. This model could analyze the steps of public policy decisionsin privatization paradigm, wether pro-privatization or contra-privatization. This article also shows a few empirical results ofprivatization and how to buid an encouraging condition to improvethe result of this program
