Abstract

This research focus on the effect of financial leverage on stock liquidity, with control variables included stock risk, return on assets, market capitalization, volume, institutional ownership during 2003-2004. This research used 86 manufacture company that listing in Jakarta Stock Exchange. Analysis method use multivariate regression. The result of partial multivariate regression indicates that financial leverage as independent variable and control variables include stock risk, return on assets, market capitalization, volume, institutional ownership have positive impact on stock liquidity. Independent variable is financial leverage and control variables include return on assets, volume, institutional ownership have significant impact on stock liquidity, while other control variables such as stock risk and market capitalization have not significant impact on stock liquidity. Simultaneously, financial leverage, stock risk, return on assets, market capitalization, volume, institutional ownership have significant impact on stock liquidity.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the service quality using the variables of Hierarchical Model of Health Service Quality and probed its interaction to the patient satisfaction in Mutiara Bunda Women and Child Hospital Salatiga. The SERVQUAL method was employed as the mean to evaluate the service quality. Additionally, the sources of expectation were also being investigated to see how the patients set their initial expectation. The quantitative method would be used through aquestionnaire to the patient in the hospital. The result indicates that the perception-expectation gap of health service quality in some extent significantly contributed to the overall satisfaction. The previously-determined sources of expectation also significantly contributed in shaping the overall expectation of patient. This research will contribute to the academical and practical realm in investigating the connection between service quality and customer satisfaction in the health care service industry. Furthermore, this research exhibits the novelty in which the new set of variables isapplied in assessing the service quality by finding out the gap score. This will also increase the awareness of the hospital to improve the service quality in order to improve patient satisfaction which leads to loyal patient cultivation.

Abstract

Start-up businesses in Surabaya has developed quite rapidly. The majority of Surabaya city's economy is driven by the industrial sector and the business sector. The successful start-up business in Surabaya is influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors from the standpoint of companies can be divided into four groups: marketing, human resources, finance, and operations. The object of this study is a start-up business that is / operating in the city of Surabaya. Total sample of 80 respondents. This research uses quantitative methods in the processing of data and information. The aim of research to determine the effect the management of internal factors in the success of a start-up business seen from the perspective of companies. This study uses a quantitative method with multiple regression analysis techniques. The results showed the management of internal factors (marketing, human resources, finance, and operational) at the same time have a positive influence on the success of start-up businesses Surabaya. This study contributes to the entrepreneur in order to optimize the management of internal factors to the success of start-up businesses.

Abstract

Rapid changes in technology have affected businesses in an uncountable way, strength of a company can be measured based on the level of technology that implemented for the sake of efficiency, it posseses that the “technovation” (technology and innovation) is one of the key for improvement of human resource. Surely, it is a single important factor for a human resource management as an organization should be able to identify an improvement of its human resources. Thus, the primary purpose of the present paper is to analyze the current effects of technology on HR processes, consider the existing literature on the topic, and discuss the advantages and efficiency. In  this  scenario,  there  is  a  need  to  clearly  identify  a technology for an efficient management of human resources which is able to improve skills of the employees. Abstract

The startup business in Indonesia has become a popular way recently. Especially for them who wants to begin their business empire. The business that run by the employee. Employee needs to bring with them the brand of the business because they have to feel the brand as their own identity. Some research find that the more engage the employee, the more productive they become. On the other side, compensation and benefit are also the factor to determine the engagement of the employee. This paper would like to tests the hypothesis that organisation brand is having some effect on employee engagement. The evidence collected from 30 employee on various startup business. The result shows that organisation brand have the effect on employee engagement, as well as the benefit but not with the compensation.

Abstract

There are many studies about the impact of e-WOM on purchase intention. Rarely studies that focus on the role of customer involvement and corporate image in the relationship between e-WOM with purchase intension especially in education context. The purposes of this study are to investigate the moderating effect of customer involvement and mediating effect of corporate image in the relationsip between e-WOM with purchase intention in higher education. The sample are students of senior high school who have ever search for opinions or reviews through the internet before choosing the university. A SEM is used to asses the relationship of the researh model. The results show that customer involvement has moderating effect and corporate image has mediating effectc in relationship between e-WOM with purchase intention. These results provide new insight into the relationship model between e-WOM with purchase intention in higher education

Abstract

KPR atau kredit pemilikan rumah dianggap sebagai salah satu solusi yang tepat untuk dapat memiliki rumah di era yang semakin sulit ini. KPR dapat dilakukan baik melalui bank konvensional, bank syariah atau pun tanpa melalui bank. Menurut pengamatan penulis, penelitian mengenai praktik KPR syariah tanpa bank masih relatif sedikit sehingga penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menambah literatur mengenai KPR syariah (Islamic Home Financing) khususnya di negara berkembang berpenduduk mayoritas Muslim. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi saran dan masukan bagi para pebisnis yang bergerak dalam bidang perumahan terutama yang mementingkan aspek kepatuhan pada syariah, para perbankan dan masyarakat pada umumnya.

Abstract

Romance in the workplace is a common phenomenon and inevitable from organization dynamics. Romance in the workplace has double effects to the organization: positive and negative. Therefore, organization must be careful in formulating policies concerning this phenomenon. Literature said that in formulation policies concerning romance in the workplace it must be started from organizational justice theory. This research tries to find out what policies which perceived as the most fair. Quasi experiment method with scenario instrument is chosen. This method allows experiment subjects to give response to different combinations/varieties of romance in the workplace based on 4 criterias (type of romance – origin of couple – impact of romance – romance policies). Subject of experiment is master students of management study program in Universitas Indonesia who has working experiences as condition for participating and 30 students agreed to partake in experiment. Result shows that giving counseling is perceived as the most fair policy for all combinations/varieties of romance in the workplace. It shows that organization’s response to romance in the workplace should not coercive policies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of market perfomance, ROE, cash flow and investment decisions with cash holdings as a moderating in manufacturing company in Indonesia which is listed on the Stock Exchange from 2012 to 2015. This study took 112 manufacturing companies in Indonesia. Research methods band is used in this study using purposive sampling method. Dependent variable in this research is investment decisions were measured by capital expenditure. Independent variables in this study is the market performance measured by Tobin's q, return on equity, cash flow, while moderating variable in this study is cash holdings. The method used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study significantly show that market performance, cash flow positive influence on investment decisions, while ROE negative effect on investment decisions. The influence of of cash flow to capital expenditure is moderated by cash holding that indicated by significant negative influence.

Abstract

Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh langsung atau tidak langsung system quality terhadap user performance karyawan FEB Universitas Airlangga sebagai pengguna sistem informasi cybercampus melalui kegunaan (perceived ease of use dan perceived usefulness). Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel yang berasal dari karyawan Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Airlangga Surabaya. Pengambilan sampel untuk penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel berdasarkan kriteria tertentu. berjumlah 58 responden. Hasil pengujian membuktikan bahwa system quality mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap user performance karyawan FEB Universitas Airlangga. Perceived usefulness dan perceived ease of use belum mampu memediasi hubungan antara system quality terhadap user performance karyawan FEB Universitas Airlangga. Information quality mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap user performance karyawan FEB Universitas Airlangga. Perceived usefulness dan perceived ease of use belum mampu memediasi hubungan antara information quality terhadap user performance karyawan FEB Universitas Airlangga. Task technology fit mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap user performance karyawan FEB Universitas Airlangga. Perceived usefulness dan perceived ease of use belum mampu memediasi hubungan antara task technology fit terhadap user performance karyawan FEB Universitas Airlangga.
