Abstract

This research investigated the factors affecting the academic registration system used by students in STIE Panca Bhakti Palu based on the Theory of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Research data were collected through the survey. Out of 294 questionnaires distributed to the respondents, 269 questionnaires were returned back (92%), while 25 questionnaires (8%) were incompletely filled in. The obtained data underwent the Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis using Amos 20 for Windows software. The results of this research showed that the ease of use and usefulness had a positive and significant influence on users’ attitude in using the system. Meanwhile, the ease of use positively and significantly influenced the usefulness of the system.

Abstract

This research background is the establishment of a legal rule regarding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in 2007. This study aims to discuss the positive impact of CSR implementation by companies in Kramatinggil, Gresik, East Java. The research subjects are the people who are the majority have a high school education background. The method used in the study of the application of CSR is a qualitative descriptive method. The qualitative approach in this research uses a phenomenological. Data processing, in this case, is done by categorising field notes from the results of depth interviews. Data processing is also done from the effects of survey data that has been processed and then narrated and from the impact of FGD (Focus Group Discussion) conducted for beneficiaries. The result shows that the community have proven to be successful in increasing the ratio of gardens to the entire space used by the application of vertical gardens and Planting Fruits in Pot (Tabulampot). The activity showed that the company's CSR in the Kramatinggil area had succeeded in conserving natural resources and the welfare of the surrounding population.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the desire for entrepreneurship (entrepreneurial intention) for students who have obtained courses in entrepreneurship or have even chosen specialization courses in entrepreneurship. It is indicated that there are three variables that influence entrepreneurial intention, namely entrepreneur program education, perceived feasibility and perceived desirability. The analysis used in this study is multiple regression. The populations of this study are students in three excellent PTS in the West Jakarta area. The results of this study indicate that of the three independent variables proposed, educational programs and perceived feasibility show a positive but not significant effect on entrepreneurial intention. Meanwhile, there is only one independent variable that influences entrepreneurial intention positively and significantly that is perceived desirability.

Abstract

The processing industry is a growing industry and accounts for around 1/5 of Indonesia's total Gross Domestic Product. This study analyzes the factors that influence the performance of SMEs in the manufacturing industry sector in Malang. Some variables such as internal and external environment, market orientation, are considered as important variables that influence the performance of SMEs, this study aims to examine the effect of market orientation and strategy flexibility on SME innovation and performance. This research is an explanatory study using a sample of 180 managers of processing industry SMEs in Malang. The data collected was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Strategic flexibility and market orientation are found directly (direct effect) to affect innovation and company performance positively. In addition, proven innovation acts as a mediator in the influence of strategy flexibility and market orientation on company performance. Likewise, company performance has a role as a mediator for each strategy flexibility and market orientation towards innovation.

Abstract

Perwiratama Group is one of the companies in the business industry that must compete with another company in the same segmentation. One way to compete is by knowing the factors of job satisfaction and employee engagement at Perwiratama Group. These variables are job satisfaction factors and employee engagement. Respondents of this study were 84 employees of Perwiratama Group in four business units. The research method used is multiple linear regression. The result of this study shows that job satisfaction variable on work, job satisfaction on salary, and job satisfaction on co-workers influence employee engagement variables. While job satisfaction variables on promotion and job satisfaction on supervision of employee engagement variables have no effect. Adjusted R Square results are 0.431 or 43.1%. This value shows that the variables of job satisfaction factors (job satisfaction at work, job satisfaction on salary, job satisfaction on promotion, supervision of job satisfaction, and job satisfaction on colleagues) affect employee engagement variables at Perwiratama Group by 43.1%, while the rest is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

Investing in real assets or financial assets is increasingly becoming the choice for the public, forgetting a return or profit. This research aims to examine the effect of Cost of Capital on Stock Returns through Corporate Valuesas mediating variables in Indonesia during 2013 - 2017. The sample in this study was 780 companies. The method used in this study is regression analysis to see the influence between variables and path analysis to see the mediating effects of intervening variables. The results of this study indicate that the value of the Company can mediate the relationship between the cost of capital and stock return in Indonesia.

Abstract

The Influence of Consumer Threat Emotion and Brand Trust and corporate image to the Buying Decision at Rumah Sakit Pertamina Balikpapan). This study aimed to analyze the influence of Threat Emotions and Brand Trust and corporate image to the Buying Decision. The independent variables in this study are threat emotions and brand trust, while the dependent variable in this study is buying decisions. The type of research that is used is quantitative research. The research was conducted on customers of Rumah Sakit Pertamina Balikpapan. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques in this study used regression analysis. This study shows that threat emotion does not have a significant positive effect on buying decisions, brand trust does have a significant positive effect on buying decisions, and corporate image has a positive and significant effect on buying decisions.

Abstract

This paper examines factors that may hinder micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in accessing financing from banking services in the area of Madiun Raya. Among barrier access to finance factors is complicated eligibility, low accessibilities and religious factors. However, this study further highlights three factors of barrier access to finance by using Second-order Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) to validate these factors. In achieving the objectives, a quantitative approach was applied in this study. This study uses primary data collected through a questionnaire involving 146 selected respondents who have micro businesses around the Madiun Raya area which includes Magetan, Ngawi, Ponorgo, Madiun and Madiun Kota. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in this case, second-order CFA is used as an analysis technique. The study revealed that second order CFA validates three variables which include religious factors, low accessibility and low eligibility are in the best fit indices as factor of access barrier to finance to financial services around Madiun raya area. With the results of this study, it allows academics and researchers to find out the factors that can prevent micro businesses in accessing finance in the context of Indonesian banking institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the performance and service expectations from an otobus (PO) company in the city of Bandung. The company is PO Grand Star Holiday Transport. The research is using five dimensions, namely the dimensions of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and tangibility. The method used in this research is the descriptive method by providing an overview of the level of service quality and the expectations of consumers. The data was collected by the method of field studies conducted by distributing written questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the company's service quality is in the good category but it still does not meet the expectations of consumers. In conclution, this reasearch shows that there are things that need to be improved, especially related to the dimensions of empathy and reliability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of employee engagement and organizational culture on the employee's performance. The data collection method uses the saturating sample that is by giving questionnaires to all employees. The number of respondents who filled out the questionnaire total of 30 people from all work units of the company, who are consisting of staff level to managerial level. The location of this research in PT Top karir Indonesia, Jakarta. The hypothesis testing is using Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that organizational culture had a positive but insignificant effect on employee engagement, in contrast, employee engagement and organization culture has a positive influence on employee performance. The results of this study have implications for new companies or companies that are in the development stage in improving employee performance more effectively through employee engagement and organizational culture.
