Abstract

Hummock is a typical morphology that is not found anywhere except in the active mountains. This uniqueness is due to the isolated hill shape with plain morphology formed in the geological setting. The existence of Gumuks dissiminated in Jember has been mined, causing their numbers to decrease drastically. Hummock in Jember district has a unique hill-shaped landscape with a height of over 2 meters. Hummocks in Jember are arranged from Raung Mount to the southwest to Jember Regency. There are several types (three) types of dunes that differ from the type of rock contained, namely rock dunes, coral dunes and sand dunes. At this moment, the existence of Hummock has been partially used for building material needs. The problem faced now is that the potential for piles other than as a building material requirement has not yet been researched. Therefore, effective management is needed through the identification of potential dunes through green mining research so that environmental problems are minimized when dune exploration is carried out. The purpose of this study was to find a green mining-based dune exploration technology, so that the treatment of each dune can be carried out appropriately. The stages of the research were carried out by observing the images. After the observations are made, field data is needed to validate and verify the pattern of dune. The research used remote sensing with guided techniques based on data in the field and geological maps. Based on remote sensing results it was found that there were 4 Classes in Land Use Change after Mining Operation carried out by people around the mine site.

Abstract

The existence of clean water on this earth is very necessary to support the lives of humans and other living creatures. Sustainable management of clean water sources is necessary to ensure that the quality meets certain requirements or quality standards, which often becomes a problem, especially regarding measurement methods that require a long time and are quite expensive. This condition demands innovation in water quality measurement methods that are fast, accurate and cheap. The aim of this research is to examine the accuracy of an Android-based water quality measuring tool using a smartphone, especially the parameters of temperature, turbidity, Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), pH and conductivity simultaneously. The method used in this research is that prepared water samples are measured using an Android-based multi-parameter measuring tool developed in this research. The results of repeated testing at least ten times for each parameter are compared with the measurement results of calibrated measuring instruments available on the market, then statistical tests are carried out to see the performance of the measuring instruments that have been developed. The results of this research show that for all test parameters using this measuring instrument the values are very close to the measurement results using the manufacturer's measuring instruments that are commonly used. It is hoped that the results of this innovation will be an alternative choice for measuring several water quality parameters accurately, quickly, easily and cheaply based on Android and be able to overcome environmental problems in the future.

Abstract

Honey is a food product produced by bees. Honey is obtained by separating the liquid honey from the beehive. At the Gubuk Lanceng Magelang farm, honey is still squeezed manually, which is squeezed by hand, so the honey obtained is not optimal and the propolis produced is irregular. The purpose of this study was to design a honey squeezer that could squeeze the hornet's nest while printing propolis into pieces by using a screw mechanism for the pressing process. The honey squeezer is made based on several criteria such as corrosion resistance, easy operation, easy cleaning, capable of printing propolis, and affordable prices for UMKM. The design includes the design and manufacture of components which include the frame, filter tube, container, turning lever, and pressure plate. The capacity of this tool itself is 4 kg. In testing the tool using a honeycomb weighing 300 grams and testing for 3 trials, the test results show that the honey squeezer can work better than hand squeezing. The test results show the efficiency of the honey squeezer is 45% compared to the hand squeeze which is only 29.5%. The resulting form of propolis also has the same shape and size as each other.

Abstract

The digital transformation of population administration services has become a strategic effort to enhance the efficiency of public services, especially in regions undergoing administrative expansion. This study aims to examine the influence of digital literacy, trustworthiness, and system quality on user behavior in utilizing the SIPENDUDUK online service in Pekanbaru, Indonesia. A quantitative approach was applied using a survey method involving 400 respondents, determined through Slovin’s formula with a 5% margin of error. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to assess both measurement and structural models. The results reveal that digital literacy and trustworthiness significantly affect users perceived usefulness and ease of use, which in turn influence their intention to use and actual usage behavior. Among these, trustworthiness was found to be the most dominant factor directly affecting the intention to use, while digital literacy enhances user perceptions of system benefits and usability. Although system quality contributes to perceived ease of use and usefulness, it does not directly influence the intention to use. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening public trust and improving digital competence to support the successful adoption of digital government services, particularly in the context of dynamic population data management in newly expanded areas.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disease with increasing global prevalence including in Indonesia. A key factor in the pathogenesis of DM is damage to pancreatic β cells which are essential for insulin production. This study aims to determine the effect of ethanol extract of Tithonia diversifolia leaves on blood glucose levels and pancreatic β cells in DM model rats. Tithonia diversifolia contains flavonoids and polyphenols which possess antioxidant properties. These compounds may reduce the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and offer cell protection The study used a laboratory-based experimental post-test only control group design. Four groups were used: a negative control group (K); three treatment groups (P1, P2, and P3) receiving T. diversifolia ethanol extract at doses of 50, 150, and 500 mg/kg body weight/day. Each group consisted of 9 males diabetic Wistar rats induced by streptozotocin. The results showed that the administration of T. diversifolia ethanol extract at a dose of 150 mg/kgBW/day resulted in a significantly higher average pancreatic β-cell count compared to the control group and the 50 and 500 mg/kg body weight (BW)/day treatment groups.

Abstract

PT X faced quality challenges in its spot-welding process, resulting in a high product defect rate and reduced competitiveness. Reliance on manual processes led to inconsistencies, which impacted customer satisfaction and the company's reputation. To address this issue, researchers initiated an Industry 4.0 based transformation with a Six Sigma approach. Improvements were made by implementing servo robots to automate the spot-welding process. This step was accompanied by modifications to the jig, the use of Jundate pallets, and the adoption of Zirconium cup tips to overcome downtime due to sticking. As a result, the company succeeded in significantly reducing the DPMO from 255 to 12, increasing productivity by 16%, and generating significant annual cost savings. In addition to tangible benefits, these improvements also resulted in increased customer trust, the acquisition of new projects, and an improved corporate image.

Abstract

Many urban cities in Indonesia face critical challenges such as limited green open spaces, declining environmental quality, and spatial pressure driven by rapid population growth. These conditions threaten urban environmental resilience, particularly in maintaining quality of life and sustainable resource use. This study aims to formulate adaptive green infrastructure planning strategies for the Baciro historical neighbourhood in Yogyakarta to enhance environmental quality while preserving the area’s cultural identity. A qualitative case study approach was employed, combining spatial planning documents, field observations, and stakeholder interviews. The findings indicate that despite limited open spaces, Baciro offers significant opportunities for green infrastructure development through the utilization of residual and vertical spaces, including narrow alleys, riverbanks, and commercial building façades. Proposed strategies include the implementation of vertical gardens, green corridors, revitalized riverfronts, and pedestrian-friendly green streets. These interventions contribute ecological functions—such as water infiltration, microclimate regulation, and air quality improvement—while also strengthening social cohesion through community participation. Furthermore, integrating green infrastructure with the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) concept expands its role in promoting sustainable mobility and liveable urban spaces. This research demonstrates that green infrastructure can serve as a strategic instrument for achieving urban environmental resilience while safeguarding historical heritage in the face of urbanization pressures. The results provide insights and practical implications for planning similar historic neighbourhoods across Indonesian cities that encounter comparable spatial and environmental challenges.
