Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of promotion and location on the purchase decision of Honda New Vario 150 CBS motorcycle at PT Tunas Dwipa Matra, Melawi Regency. This study adopts associative approach with purposive sampling method. A total of 100 respondents who had bought a Honda New Vario 150 CBS motorcycle at PT Tunas Dwipa Matra became part of this research sample. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression through SPSS software version 25. The testing process in this study includes validity, reliability, normality, linearity, and multicollinearity. Hypothesis testing is done by using simultaneous test (F test) and Partial Test (t test). Based on the results of hypothesis testing, both simultaneously (F test) and partially (T test), it can be concluded that promotion and location together have a significant positive impact on purchasing decisions. In addition, both also show an independently positive and significant influence on the purchase decision.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of rice field productivity and other factors on changes in paddy field area (LBS) at the regency/city level in Indonesia. Using panel data from 364 regencies/cities (2010–2022), LBS changes are measured as the average annual percentage change over two periods: 2013–2019 and 2019–2023. To address endogeneity in rice productivity, a two-stage Instrumental Variable (IV) method with fixed effects is applied. The first stage instruments productivity with rainfall and previous productivity, while the second stage assesses its impact alongside control variables, including the agricultural, real estate, and construction sectors, population density, and a Dummy Policy Variable for LP2B protection with lag effects up to three years. Results indicate that rice productivity and other factors are not significant predictors of LBS changes, likely due to land ownership inequality and measurement errors. A restricted sample further suggests that LP2B protection is ineffective in preserving LBS. Using Local Average Treatment Effect (LATE), the IV method estimates policy impacts for regions aligned with instrument variation. The study recommends accelerating land redistribution, certification, technical support, and stricter enforcement at both central and regional levels to safeguard paddy fields.

Abstract

This research aims to explore how strategic collaboration and intellectual capital can improve higher education performance and achieve competitive advantage. The main objective of this study is to identify the relationship between strategic collaboration, intellectual capital, and the performance of higher education institutions, as well as how these three elements can be used synergistically to achieve competitive advantage. The research method used is a quantitative approach with the population of all private universities (PTS) in the LLDikti II Region, which totals 197 private universities. The data analysis technique uses the Structural Equation Models (SEM) approach with the help of the SmartPLS program package. The results of the study show that strategic collaboration has a positive and significant impact on higher education performance. In addition, intellectual capital was also found to contribute significantly to improving the performance of the institution. The combination of strategic collaboration and intellectual capital resulted in a greater improvement in higher education performance compared to each element separately. These results show that institutions that adopt a collaborative approach and manage their intellectual capital will tend to have better performance and are able to compete more effectively in the global education market. Based on these findings, the study recommends that higher education institutions should increase their collaborative efforts, both inside and outside the institution, as well as invest in the development and management of intellectual capital.

Abstract

This research is motivated by business competition in the retail sector in the form of minimarkets, self-service supermarkets which is increasingly tight, making business actors flock to maintain the continuity of their companies so that they remain the choice for consumers to shop, so the role of marketing is very important. The method used in this research is quantitative. The technique used in this research is probability sampling with simple random sampling of 58 respondents. The results of data processing using the SPSS 16 program in the Coefficients table for the first regression coefficient of the service quality variable show that the calculated t value is 6,695 > t table of 2.004 so that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. In the Model Summary table, it can be seen that the R Square value is 0.644 or 64.4%, which means that the independent variables price and service quality influence the dependent variable of consumer decision by 64.4% and the remainder is influenced by other factors not examined in this research.

Abstract

The rapid progress of digital technologies has significantly altered higher education, forcing institutions to adjust to emerging political, economic, social, and technological (PEST) realities. Private universities in Palembang, Indonesia, encounter distinct challenges and opportunities during this digital transformation, yet there is a lack of comprehensive research that systematically explores the external factors affecting their adaptation strategies. This research utilizes a PEST analysis framework to examine the influence of political regulations, economic limitations, societal changes, and technological progress on private universities in Palembang as they strive to manage digital transformation. Using a qualitative methodology, this study integrates secondary data from government initiatives, institutional reports, and scholarly literature, along with firsthand insights from university stakeholders. This study aims to provide insights into how these institutions can adapt to changes in their external environment. The results indicate that political variables, such as national education strategies and accreditation requirements, play a crucial role in influencing the adoption of digital technologies, while financial obstacles like funding constraints and student affordability impede technological investments. Societal factors, including evolving student expectations and gaps in digital literacy, also affect institutional approaches, whereas differences in technological infrastructure create both challenges and avenues for innovation. Through a comprehensive PEST analysis, this study adds to the conversation on the resilience of higher education and provides practical recommendations for policymakers, university administrators, and educators within Indonesia's changing digital environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Organizational Support and Motivation on Organizational Commitment among employees at PT Mitra Aneka Rezeki (MAR) Natai Raja in Kubu Raya Regency. A quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis was employed to analyze the relationships between the variables. The sample consisted of employees with varying demographic characteristics, such as age, gender, education, work experience, and income. The findings reveal that both Organizational Support and Motivation have a significant positive impact on Organizational Commitment. The multiple linear regression equation derived from the analysis is Y = 0.519 + 0.816 X1 + 0.082 X2, where X1 represents Organizational Support and X2 represents Motivation. The correlation coefficient (R = 0.776) indicates a strong relationship between the independent variables and Organizational Commitment, while the coefficient of determination (R² = 0.602) suggests that 60.2% of the variation in Organizational Commitment can be explained by Organizational Support and Motivation. The results of the F-test (0.000) indicate that the independent variables together have a significant effect on Organizational Commitment, and the T-test shows that both variables individually influence Organizational Commitment. This study highlights the importance of fostering a supportive work environment and motivating employees to enhance their commitment to the organization. However, limitations such as the sample size and the focus on only two variables suggest that further research should explore additional factors and include a broader sample for more generalizable results.
