Abstract

PT CMC (Coal Mining Corporation) is an Indonesian coal mining company that plays a role in meeting both domestic and export energy demands. At present, loading and unloading schedules for ships frequently overlap due to prolonged vessel scheduling, leading to increased demurrage costs. The arrival of multiple vessels at the same time often results in congestion, queues, and delays in loading and unloading operations. This situation not only escalates demurrage expenses but also undermines port operational efficiency and raises operational risks. To address these business challenges, this study aims to identify operational risks and propose effective improvement strategies to minimize demurrage. The research adopts a gap analysis approach integrated with Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). A questionnaire was designed based on FMEA principles to assess severity, occurrence, and detection levels. Data were collected from 15 respondents, consisting of three distribution team members, seven from the Palembang dock team, and five from the transportation handling team. The findings, derived from a root cause investigation using the 5 Whys method, reveal 25 underlying causes of the problem. Based on the Risk Priority Number (RPN), the controllable risks in order of priority are: (1) waiting for cargo barges due to their unavailability, (2) simultaneous ship arrivals (overlapping schedules), (3) floating crane unavailability as it is still servicing another vessel, (4) queuing caused by prioritizing domestic vessels for loading, and (5) failure to meet the target loading rate. Recommended actions include: prioritizing high-impact issues by focusing first on the most critical problems, particularly barge resource allocation; implementing solutions systematically across all relevant operational areas; fostering cross-functional collaboration between the distribution, Palembang pier, and transportation handling teams to ensure integrated execution; adopting a phased strategy for short-, medium-, and long-term implementation; and establishing continuous performance monitoring.

Abstract

Fraud in the public sector is a serious problem that can undermine the integrity of the bureaucracy and public trust. This study aims to analyze the influence of job position, internal control, and love of money on indications of fraudulent behavior among local government employees. An explanatory quantitative approach was used with a survey method targeting employees from five agencies in East Kotawaringin Regency, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using a likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using WarpPLS based Structural Equation Modeling. The results showed that job position, internal control, and love of money had a significant positive effect on indications of fraudulent behavior. These findings indicate that the higher the position, the weaker the internal controls, and the higher the orientation toward money, the greater the tendency to commit fraud. This study contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence from the context of local government, as well as practical implications for the formulation of more effective fraud prevention policies.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has led to the increasing growth of the internet. This rapid internet growth has impacted the advancement of online commerce. In today's era of globalization, online shopping services are the most effective way for people to shop. Generation Z is a generation that largely uses digital platforms like Shopee. Based on initial observations conducted by the researcher, the study indicates a high level of consumption and repurchase behavior among Generation Z through the e-commerce application Shopee. Repurchase intention can be considered one of the important factors in consumer purchasing, as consumers make a second purchase, and so on, having already developed both emotional and functional attachment. The research population is Generation Z in Malang City who have purchased products on Shopee, with a sample of 150 respondents. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires directly and through Google Forms to selected respondents who had made purchases on Shopee. Data analysis was performed using the SmartPLS analysis tool. The results of this study conclude that first, Shopee consumer repurchase intention in Malang City is directly influenced by Social media marketing and brand trust, but not by the E-WOM variable. Second, the brand trust variable is directly influenced by Social media marketing and E-WOM. Third, the brand trust variable partially mediates the influence of Social media marketing on repurchase intention, but fully mediates the influence of E-WOM on repurchase intention of Shopee consumers in Malang City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of learning motivation and learning models on the competence of training participants in the Office Administration Program at the Boyolali Job Training Center (BLK). The research employs a quantitative descriptive approach with a total sample of 96 participants who completed the training from 2022 to 2024. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that learning motivation has a positive and significant effect on participants' competence (p = 0.000), while the learning model does not have a statistically significant effect (p = 0.410). Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence participants' competence (p = 0.000) with a determination coefficient (R²) of 0.208. This implies that 20.8% of competence variation can be explained by the two independent variables.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing strategies of PT. Pos Indonesia Tulungagung in enhancing its market competitiveness amidst the growing competition in the logistics service industry. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach by integrating the SERVQUAL method with Importance–Performance Analysis (IPA). SERVQUAL is applied to identify the gap between customers’ expectations and their perceptions of postal services across five key dimensions: reliability, assurance, tangibles, empathy, and responsiveness. Meanwhile, IPA is utilized to map service attributes based on their level of importance and actual performance, enabling a more precise determination of improvement priorities. The findings reveal that reliability and responsiveness are the most critical factors requiring enhancement, particularly in terms of delivery timeliness and customer complaint handling. The implementation of strategies focused on improving service quality, employee training, technological innovation, and continuous monitoring of customer feedback has proven effective in increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty, thereby strengthening the competitive position of PT. Pos Indonesia Tulungagung in the market.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the Certified Internship and Independent Study Program (MSIB) through a qualitative case study of interns placed at PT Kulina Putra Madya (KPM) under APINDO coordination. Despite the program’s promise of strategic roles as "business consultants" for MSMEs, interns faced a significant expectation-reality gap, often assigned administrative or operational tasks with minimal mentorship. Interviews with three interns revealed three key issues: (1) misalignment between job descriptions and actual responsibilities, (2) structural challenges such as poor communication and lack of guidance, and (3) self-initiated adaptation strategies like peer learning and resilience-building. Findings indicate that while interns developed soft skills (e.g., adaptability), the program failed to deliver promised professional development. The study underscores the need for clearer job design, structured mentoring, and stronger institutional coordination to align internships with educational objectives. Recommendations include formalized learning agreements, host company training, and integrating student-led adaptive practices into program design. These improvements could enhance both intern satisfaction and the program’s credibility in bridging academia and industry.
