Abstract

The modern education system is based on the paradigm of modern science that is free of value and is positive. This paradigm in its development has contributed greatly to the world of education which has become more measurable, reasonable, directed, and oriented towards providing benefits in life. However, on the other hand simultaneously, the modern paradigm shows several problems. Positivism assumptions show their shortcomings; especially the effects of value-free principles that make the direction of civilization lose the value of togetherness, ecology, and spirituality. Efforts to transform an idea can only be done effectively if through a systematic system of education. Unfortunately, the results of the thoughts of the Muslim scholars have not yet been actualized into the practical area of education. For this reason, this study starts from the actual problem in Islamic thought, namely the idea of social piety, then from that idea it will be formulated into a particular educational model. In simple terms, this study aims to formulate a synthesis of non-educational thinking towards educational thinking that is formulated in the form of models

Mental religion development is a formation directed or aimed at one's mental (soul) towards that which is in accordance with religious teachings, which in this case is Islamic religion. So fostering Islamic religion is essentially the same as Islamic religious education, because what is meant by Islamic religious education is physical and spiritual guidance based on the laws of the teachings of Islamic religion to form the main personality according to the size of Islam. The role of religious education in forming a complete and noble human being is very important, therefore it is necessary to increase the implementation of religious education or mental development of religion in both the family, school, community and so on inmates. Because the majority of prisoners is detained is due to the low quality of their religious education. In order not to arise actions that violate the norms (religion, morality, etc.), it is necessary to live an Islamic soul in every human being so that it is expected to be able to reflect attitudes and behavior in accordance with his nature.

Abstract

Education is the process of developing one's abilities, attitudes and other behaviors in the communities in which they live. According to Webster’s new world dictionary, education is a process of training and developing knowledge, skills, thoughts, characters, and so on. Maybe, so that there is no dichotomy of public schools with madrassas, one of which is so that madrassas always develop according to their times. Discussing about madrasas is interesting in the contemporary era. Bearing in mind, madrasas are part of the national education system that is closer and familiar to the people than other formal education systems. In the analysis of education experts, madrasas are also more strategic in achieving PUS-EFA (Education for All-Education for All), because madrasas are cheaper in terms of financing and easier to reach by the common people (grass root). This makes the madrasa increasingly find its significance in today's global competition, so madrasas can be said to be formal Islamic education institutions that greatly contribute to eradicating people's illiteracy (Indonesia).
