Abstract

3D-Shapes Geometry is one of the subjects material that must be taught to students in Mathematics Education Program, which later after graduation will become a math teacher. Learning 3D-Shapes Geometry has relevance to the mathematics critical thinking ability. Students who have the ability to think critically can think rationally by collecting information as completely as possible. Learning that can stimulate the ability of critical thinking should be learning in which there are activities that are student-centered learning. One of the lessons in 3D-Shapes Geometry that can be used is learning using Geogebra Software . Learning 3D-Shapes Geometry using GeoGebra aided is very possible to make students practice independently spatial capabilities that will foster self regulated learning. The existence of self-regulated learning in the student's learning will make the students able to interpret, analyze, evaluate, and infer in learning. These capabilities will form the mathematics critical thinking ability. The purpose of this research is to determine whether or not there is a relationship between self regulated learning and mathematics critical thinking ability and to find out coefficient of correlation of them. This research is a quantitative research. Before the research begins, the researchers took the value of the task as the preliminary data and it is tested normality. Data collection techniques in this research is the scale of self regulated learning and tests in the form of mathematics critical thinking ability. The scale of self regulated learning and mathematics critical thinking ability tests are validated first. Data test of mathematics critical thinking ability of is tested normality, then data of scale self regulated learning and test of mathematics critical thinking ability are tested regression. The result of this research is there is influence of self regulated learning to the mathematics critical thinking ability of 45 , 7 %.

Abstract

Mata kuliah Kalkulus I merupakan salah satu mata kuliah wajib yang harus ditempuh di program studi matematika. Pengembangan LKM yang berbasis masalah melalui Self Regulated Learningdiharapkan aktivitas mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan Kalkulus I akan meningkat. Subyek penelitian adalah 35 mahasiswa yang menempuh mata kuliah Kalkulus I Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika tahun akademik 2013/2014. Langkah awal yaitu: Mengkaji karakteristik pembelajaran mata kuliah Kalkulus I di FKIP Universitas Jember, Mengkaji masalah peserta didik dalam pembelajaran, Mengkaji kompetensi yang harus dimiliki peserta didikselanjutnya mendesain perangkat pembelajaran yaitu mengembangkan LKM.Dari hasil pengembangan LKM yang berbasis masalah melalui Self Regulated Learning diperoleh aktivitas mahasiswa sangat tinggi. Mahasiswa lebih banyak mengeluarkan ide/pendapat, berani bertanya, mau menganalisis dan menyelesaikan masalah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis multimedia interaktif pada pokok bahasan dimensi tiga materi jarak, proyeksi dan sudut, untuk siswa SMA kelas X dan mengetahui bagaimanakah respon siswa setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis multimedia interaktif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan berupa media pembelajaran berbasis multimedia interaktif pada pokok bahasan dimensi tiga materi jarak, proyeksi dan sudut. Pengembangan media mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi 5 tahap, yaitu Analysis (Analisis), Design (Perancangan), Development (Pengembangan), Implementation (Implementasi), Evaluation (Evaluasi). Subjek penelitian ini adalah 3 guru matematika SMA dan siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Nglames. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket pengembangan media, angket evaluasi media untuk ahli media dan ahli materi, angket evaluasi media untuk guru dan siswa, angket respon siswa, serta pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian pengembangan adalah: (1) Model pengembangan media pembelajaran yang dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap, yaitu melakukan analisis materi, analisis aspek-aspek yang harus ada dalam media interaktif, analisis situasi, analisis karakteristik siswa, merancang media, mengembangkan media dengan menggunakan Adobe Flash CS5, mengadakan ujicoba terbatas di SMAN 1 Nglames, mengevaluasi hasil angket. (2) Media pembelajaran mampu memberikan dampak yang positif terhadap respon siswa kelas X di SMAN 1 Nglames dengan memperoleh persentase 75,91% dengan kriteria “tinggi”.

Abstract

The aims of this research are : 1) To find out which is more effective, Group Investigation or Talking Stick learning on the mathematics achievement of the students of MTSN Karangmojo I Magetan. 2) To find out is there any differences of the mathematics achievement on Group Investigation and Talking Stick learning from the student’s psychomotoric aspect. This research was conducted from March 2011 to June 2011, using experiment method. The population is all of students of grade VIII MTsN Karangmojo I Magetan. The sample is assigned to two out of all classes, those are : VIII A as control class and VIII B as experiment class. The data were collected using test and observation. It was analyzed using two ways anova. The result of this research are : 1) Group Investigation learning is more effective than Talking Stick learning. 2) There are the difference of the mathematics achievement on Group Investigation and Talking Stick learning from the student’s psychomotoric aspect.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses berpikir siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah bangun ruang sisi datar sisi datar berdasarkan Teori Van Hiele, yang meliputi proses berpikir dalam pembentukan pengertian, pembentukan pendapat dan penarikan kesimpulan. Sedangkan tahapan pemikiran Teori Van Hiele meliputi informasi, orientasi, penjelasan, orientasi bebas dan integrasi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subyek penelitian adalah enam siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kebonsari Kabupaten Madiun. Pengambilan subyek berdasarkan hasil rapor siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika yaitu dua siswa berkemampuan tinggi, dua siswa berkemampuan sedang dan dua siswa berkemampuan rendah. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode tes dan wawancara. Teknik keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi yaitu membandingkan data hasil tes dan wawancara. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data atau penarikan kesimpulan. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah siswa kategori tinggi memiliki kecenderungan mampu menggunakan unsur-unsur proses berpikir dengan indikator pembentukan pengertian, pembentukan pendapat dan penarikan kesimpulan secara tepat. Siswa dapat memecahkan masalah bangun ruang sisi datar dengan benar dan tepat sesuai dengan langkah-langkah penyelesaian masalah secara terurut. Siswa kategori sedang memiliki kecenderungan mampu menggunakan unsur-unsur proses berpikir dengan indikator pembentukan pengertian, pembentukan pendapat dan penarikan kesimpulan secara kurang tepat. Pada umumnya siswa berkemampuan sedang dapat memecahkan masalah bangun ruang sisi datar dengan benar tetapi kurang tepat. Siswa kategori rendah memiliki kecenderungan tidak mampu menggunakan unsur-unsur proses berpikir dengan indikator pembentukan pengertian, pembentukan pendapat dan penarikan kesimpulan secara tidak tepat. Pada umumnya siswa berkemampuan rendah tidak dapat memecahkan masalah bangun ruang sisi datar sesuai langkah-langkah pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

This study is an experimental study with quantitatively descriptive approach which aims to describe the effectiveness of learning using wondering successive method with regular competition model of type 1 among students on vector space material. The subjects of this study are fifth semester students of mathematical education programe in STKIP PGRI Bangkalan. The Results of study are analyzed descriptively to see the lecturer's ability in managing learning process, student’s activity and the completeness of learning result classical. The results of study show that the used method is effective to implement on vector space material. This conclusion is based on several things, namely (1) the lecturer's ability in managing learning process is effective, student’s activity is effective and the classical completeness of learning result is achieved.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Project-Based Blended Learning (PjB2L) model to support student creativity in designing mathematics learning in elementary school. The method used in this research was R&D with ASSURE development model consisting of six stages: 1) analyze learners, 2) state objectives, 3) select method, media, and materials, 4) utilize media and materials, 5) require learner participation, 6) evaluated and revise. Product validation was done through an expert’s assessment by using the expert’s validation sheet. The practicality of the product is tested with limited trials with college lecturers and some students with questionnaires and interviews. Product effectiveness was seen by implementing limited development testing to a particular class with a one group pretest-posttest design and the result was analyzed by using a Paired-Samples T-Test. The result of this research is a Project-Based Blended Learning (PjB2L) model to support students' creativity in designing mathematics learning plan in elementary school. Validity of the learning model was proven by the result of the expert assessment in learning (face-to-face and on-line), material and instructional media. Effectiveness of the learning model was also proven on the basis of Paired-Samples T-Test of students’ pretest and posttest.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian quasi - eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 3x3 . Populasi penelitian adalah semua siswa di kelas V semester I Sekolah Dasar Negara 2013/2014 di Kabupaten Kecamatan Kalitidu Bojonegoro . Sampel penelitian diambil dengan menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling . Data penelitian diuji dengan menggunakan uji statistik uji normalitas dengan rumus dan homogenitas uji Lilliefors dengan rumus Bartlett dengan α = 0,05 . Data sekolah ' nilai ujian akhir yang terkena menyeimbangkan uji dengan menggunakan analisis satu arah varians dengan sel yang tidak sama . Hipotesis penelitian diuji dengan menggunakan analisis dua arah varians dengan sel yang tidak sama . Teknik analisis data yang digunakan analisis dua arah tidak seimbang varian . Hasil penelitian adalah: ( 1 ) Tapps belajar dan pembelajaran Ekspositori memiliki prestasi matematika persamaan garis lurus lebih baik daripada STAD , berarti sementara pembelajaran Ekspositori memiliki prestasi matematika persamaan garis lurus yang sama seperti belajar Tapps , ( 2 ) Dalam setiap kelompok belajar gaya ( visual, auditori , kinestetik ) , adalah sama prestasi matematika persamaan garis lurus , ( 3 ) Dalam setiap gaya belajar kelompok , belajar Tapps dan pembelajaran Ekspositori untuk mempengaruhi prestasi matematika persamaan garis lurus lebih baik dari STAD dan Tapps belajar untuk mempengaruhi prestasi matematika sama dengan pembelajaran Ekspositori .

Abstract

The students' ability to solve mathematical problems are affected directly or indirectly by their pattern of problem solving when they were attending primary and secondary schools. The result of observation shows that there are students who can not answer proving problem and take no action at all, thoughit is only at the step of understanding the problem. NEA is a frame work with simple diagnostic procedures, which include (1) decoding, (2) comprehension, (3) transformation, (4) process skills, and (5) encoding. Newman’s developed diagnostic method is used to identify the error categories of descriptive test answer. Therefore, the descriptive types of students’ error in proving problem solving in Geometry 1 subject based on Newman’s error Analysis (NEA), and what are the causes for the student’s mistakes in solving those proving problem, especially in Geometry1 subject is interesting to be discussed in this article.

Abstract

Mathmatics is one of the lesson which is performed on national final exam. It holds important rule to decide sudents graduation. The fact shown that many students have difficulty in this lesson. They think that mathematics difficult. It makes them have less interest in mathematics.The research method used is class action research. The population of this study is 22 students of VII grade SMPN 8 Bintan. Sampling technique in this study is purposive sampling. The independent variable is group working method in direct instruction model and the dependent variable is mathematics learning performance.The result of this research is passing grade of siclus II increasing to 85 from 72,29. It can be concluded that working method in direct instruction model can increase mathematics learning performance of VII grade SMPN 8 Bintan.
