Abstract

The results of the observations show that in the learning process in the Elementary School of Connectmacan District, there are still many fifth grade students who are not enthusiastic about participating in learning, this shows that the students' interest in learning social studies is low. This study aims to analyze the influence of the conditions of the learning environment, teacher professional competence, and learning facilities on the students' interest in social studies learning at SDN Connectmacan District. This study uses a quantitative design with an emphasis on explanation (explanatory research). The population of all students in grade V SD Negeri in the Asri Cluster, Kontakmacan District, Academic Year 2019/2020, totaling 8 SD. The sample was taken 4 SDN with simple random sampling technique. Data collection in the form of questionnaires and documentation. The questionnaire instrument was first tested for validity and reliability on students other than respondents. The data analysis technique used the Multiple Linear Regression test. The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence on the condition of the school environment on interest in learning social studies. There is a positive and significant effect of teacher professional competence on interest in learning social studies. There is a positive and significant influence of learning facilities on interest in social studies learning. There is a positive and significant influence on the variable school environment conditions, teacher professional competence, and learning facilities simultaneously on interest in learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of student behavior in mitigating the COVID-19 disaster. As the number of positive cases continues to grow, it is necessary to take steps to prevent COVID-19. This study discusses the analysis of student behavior, especially in elementary schools in dealing with the Coronavirus Disease-19 outbreak. The purpose of this study was to determine the behavior of elementary school students during the COVID-19 pandemic and the factors that influence it. To answer the objectives of the researcher used a descriptive study and qualitative analysis. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The research subjects were fifth grade students and fifth grade students' parents. Data analysis used data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. Test the validity of the data using triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the research at the beginning of the pandemic were that students took steps to prevent COVID-19, namely 1) washing hands, 2) wearing masks, 3) keeping as much distance as possible, 4) reducing as much, 5) reducing mobility. Meanwhile, currently students are no longer taking COVID-19 prevention measures, namely 1) not washing their hands, 2) not wearing masks, 3) not keeping their distance, 4) not limiting them, 5) not reducing mobility. Internal factors that influence student behavior at the beginning of the pandemic are fear and external factors, namely 1) family environment, 2) school environment, 3) media. Meanwhile, currently internal factors that influence student behavior are 1) boredom, 2) laziness, external factors that influence are 1) family environment, 2) community environment

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to look at the use of modules to improve learning motivation and learning outcomes in mathematics for elementary schools. Modules are a source of learning in learning activities. Modules can be either manual or e-modules. The type of data used is secondary data. The method used in this research is the literature study method. The data obtained were compiled, analyzed, and concluded in  to get conclusions about the literature study. Based on the research results of literature studies from several research results and books and journal articles, it shows that: (1) the use of modules can increase student motivation. (2) the use of modules can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the leadership process of principals with managerial competencies to improve the quality of education in primary schools. Initial observations show that there are still many school principals in the Adipala sub-district, Cilacap, who have not carried out their primary duties and functions correctly as leaders of educational units. The principal is the person who is responsible for and leads the school in managing school resources to achieve academic goals. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach to phenomenological studies. The informants in this study were five public elementary school principals in the Adipala sub-district. Data collection techniques by interview, observation, and study documentation. Activities in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed that principal leadership with excellent and practical managerial competence could improve the quality of education in primary schools.

Abstract

Abstract. The background of this study is the low attitude of student discipline during distance learning. This study aims to determine the benefits of WhatsApp groups in distance learning on improving the discipline attitude of elementary school students. Student discipline is very important to improve learning outcomes. The data used is secondary data, as well as the research method used is literature study research. The analysis technique used in this study is the content analysis. The data obtained will be collected, analyzed, and concluded to get the expected conclusion. Based on the results of literature research from several journals written by researchers previously showed that the use of WhatsApp groups in distance learning is very useful in the process of increasing student discipline.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of In House Training (IHT) in increasing teacher pedagogical competence. Pedagogic competence is one of the teacher competencies which have an important vital role in achieving student learning outcomes quality. If the teacher's pedagogical competence is low, it may affect the learning outcomes of students. One of the efforts is through activities to increase teacher pedagogical competence. One of the activities to increase teacher competence is through training. The most effective and efficient competencies improvement training model is In House Training (IHT). This training can accommodate teacher training needs with easy access. The type of data used is secondary data. The method used in this research is the literature study method. The data obtained were collected, analyzed, and concluded to get conclusions about the literature study. Based on the research results, literature studies from several research results and journal articles show that In House Training activities can improve teacher pedagogical competence.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine and describe the role of the teacher in improving the character of discipline for students. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were the principal, teachers, and students. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study indicated that the role of teachers in the character building of student discipline at SD Negeri 1 Kendaga is a teacher as an educator, a teacher as ainstructor, a teacher as a guide, a teacher as a trainer, and a teacher as an evaluator. The teacher's efforts in shaping student character are by using the method of habituation, exemplary, lectures and simulations.This research is useful for teachers, to be able to act as good role models, to provide guidance and supervision to improve students discipline.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out, explore, study, and describe the implementation of disciplinary character education in elementary schools and expected to help find the right policies to support the successful implementation of character education. The type of data used is secondary data. This research uses the literature study method. The data obtained were collected, analyzed, and concluded obtain conclusions about the literature study. Based on the research results, literature studies from several research results and journal articles indicate that implementation school policies by establishing good cooperation between all school residents and school committees can increase the success of the implementation of character education in elementary schools.

Abstract

ABSTRACTPrincipal leadership and  teacher performance are inseparable things . Improving the quality of education is determined by the human resources involved in the education process.   There are many factors that can improve teacher work performance. One of them is the leadership of the principal. The leadership style of the principal is very influential on performance. teacher  This study aims to analyze the effect of the principal's competence on ork motivation and teacher performance. This research is a qualitative study using a survey. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire and analyzed using  with the samples studied were principals and teachers. From the results of research in the field it is concluded that in general the principal's performance is fairly good, and this has an impact on the good performance of teachers as well.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to improve the ability of teachers in designing core activities in the learning process through academic coaching. This research is motivated by the low ability to design core activities in the learning process of SD Negeri 4 Teluk teachers and the need for efforts to improve the ability to design these core activities through academic guidance. The method used in this research is comparative description. Collecting data using observation techniques, interviews, documentation, and filling out the instrument sheet. The research population in this study were 6 classroom teachers at SD Negeri 4 Teluk, namely grade 1 to grade 6 teachers. The results of this study indicate an increase in the ability of teachers to design core activities in the learning process .
