Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of free float toward market liquidity of Indonesia Stock Exchange, as effectiveness evidence in the implementation of regulation Number: Kep-0001/BEI/01-2014. This study involves a number of control variables consist of stock price, firm size, stock return, price to book value, earnings per share, and price to earnings ratio. They have determined the market liquidity simultanuosly.  An analysis was carried out on the archival data sourced from idx.co.id which covering manufacturer companies that have been recorded in the period of 2014-2018. The result shows that free float has a positive influence to the liquidity of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). Free float’s contribution has been occured together with all of the control variables. This result confirms that information about free float is one thing that is taken into consideration in deciding capital market investment, and becomes empirical evidence of the effectiveness of the stated regulation above. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh free float terhadap likuiditas pasar di Bursa Efek Indonesia, sebagai bukti efektifitas regulasi/peraturan Nomor: Kep-0001/BEI/01-2014. Penelitian ini melibatkan sejumlah variabel kendali yang secara bersama-sama menentukan likuiditas pasar, yaitu stock price, firm size, stock return, price to book value, earning per share, dan price to earnings ratio. Analisis dilakukan terhadap data arsif yang bersumber dari idx.co.id meliputi perusahaan manufaktur yang tercatat pada periode 2014-2018. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa free float mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap likuiditas pasar Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). Kontribusi free float terjadi secara bersama-sama dengan seluruh variabel kendali. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa informasi tentang free float merupakan satu hal yang menjadi pertimbangan dalam keputusan investasi pasar modal, dan sekaligus menjadi bukti empiris efektifitas regulasi tersebut di atas.

Abstract

Abstract. This studies aims to observe the development of literature on companyinvestment decisions and to decide what research should be conducted further oncompany investment decisions in the theoretical framework of agency theory. Themethods used were bibliometric network analysis and literature review. This study hasmapped out the literature on company investment decisions based on agency theory.This study shows that the topics on competition research, corporate governance, andcapital structure are closely related to the company investment decisions in the theory ofagency, and it is worth investigating. Therefore, it is necessary to develop furtherempirical research related to company investment decisions in the framework related toagency theory by analyzing the influences of competition, corporate governance, andcapital structure comprehensively on invesment decision.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to investigate the effects of leadership style and job satisfaction on employee performance. Using these variables based on the results ofprevious studies, with the taking of secondary data from the literature and primary data in the form of respondents with proportional stratified random sampling.The research was conducted at PT. Sarinah (Persero) Jakarta, by taking 166 employees as research subjects. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results show the effect of leadership style on employee performance is significantly positive; the effect of job satisfaction on employee performance is significantly positive and the effects of leadership style and job satisfaction on employee performance simultaneously is significant and positive.Keywords: Leadership Style, Job Satisfaction, Employee Performance

Abstract

This study aims to examine empirically the investment behavior of investors over the announcement of financial distress of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The testing period in this study was 2005-2016. The behavior of investors in competing companies (non-delist) in the industry (known as intra-industry information transfer) can be seen from abnormal return patterns that occur in competitors' shares around the delist announcement day. Contagion effect occurs in competing companies in one industry that get negative reactions from investors while competitive effects occur in competing companies that get a positive reaction from investors over the delist announcement of other company. This study uses leverage and market capitalization of competing companies to explain the contagion and competitive effects. Sampling in this study uses a purposive sampling approach. Data analysis techniques in this study use one sample t-test. The number of samples in this study were 22 delist companies and 132 non-delist companies. This study showed that there was an intra-industry information transfer. Competitive effect occurs at t-3 and t+2 arround the delist announcement day. Specifically, market capitalization and leverage of non-delist can not explain the direction of intra-industry information transfer

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to identify whether environmental concern,consumers‟ perceptions, health consciousness, subjective norms, and attitude have apositive relationship towards organic food purchase intention. The type of researchused for this study is descriptive research with non probability sampling design. Thenumber of respondents was 202 respondents. Hypotheses were tested using StructuralEquations Model (SEM). The results showed that there are three unsupportedhypotheses out of five hypotheses. Supported hypotheses are hypothesis 2 andhypothesis 5. The supported hypotheses are consumers‟ perceptions and attitude.Furthermore, this research showed that consumers‟ perceptions and attitude have apositive relationship toward purchase intention.

Abstract: Every Company wants its employees have the ability to high productivity inwork. This is an ideal desire for profit-oriented companies, because how can a companymake a profit if it is filled in by people who are not productive. However, sometimescompanies are not able to distinguish which employees are productive and which are notproductive. Garuda Call Centre operators are contracted to work for one year under theEmployment Services Provider Company, and after it had conducted an evaluation todetermine whether the employees in question will resume contract or the contract may beterminated. This kind of employment contract system was influential on the level ofturnover. Result of research can be said a significant influence Commitment (X1) of theTurnover Intention (Y) with most dominant in dimension of faith in the managementwishes to move, the correlation value is 0.849, there is a significant effect of JobInsecurity (X2) on Turnover Intention (Y) with most dominant in dimension of the threatof job loss itself wishes desire and commitment to move (X1), the correlation value is0.829, and Job Insecurity (X2) are jointly significance influence on Turnover Intention(Y).Keywords: Commitment, Job Insecurity, Turnover Intention

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to examine the effect of team member exchange qualities and shared leadership on team effectiveness in order to describe cross-functional integration conditions in public organizations. Cross-functional integration on these research explained with two points of view, as a group members behavior and as a team process. Cross-functional integration as a group members behavior established if (1) team member exchange qualities positively affects shared leadership; and (2) shared leadership positively affects team effectiveness. Cross-functional integration as a team process established if team member exchange qualities affects on team effectiveness through shared leadership. The study was conducted on Directorate A, B and C, with totally 90 respondents. The research method used regression analysis and path analysis. The results showed (1) team member exchange qualities positively affect shared leadership on Directorate A, B and C; (2) shared leadership positively affects team effectiveness on Directorate B and C; and (3) team member exchange qualities positively affects team effectiveness through shared leadership on Directorate C. Based on those results, we can conclude that cross-functional integration as group member behavior established in Directorate B and C, and cross-functional integration as a team process established only in Directorate C.

Abstract. GMP is a mandatory training for implementation of Food Safety in theproduction process. Effectiveness of GMP training is a barometer of success indeveloping human resources through training. Competency and work environmentsupports will make the GMP training more effective for the company. Objective ofresearch to prove competence and work environment support influence theeffectiveness of GMP training at company. The model used to analyze data in thisresearch is multiple linear regression analysis by using variables are Competency (X1),Work environment support (X2) and Effectiveness of GMP training (Y). The study‟spopulation was 102 operators in refeinery PT SIMP Tbk. Based on the results thatcompetency had negative effect no significantly to the effectiveness of GMP training,then work environments support had positive effect significantly to the effectivenessof the GMP training, while another result of analysis for respondents in the age groupover 35 years old and working more than 2 years showed that competence hadnegative effect significantly to the effectiveness of GMP training as well as workenvironment support had positive effect significantly to the effectiveness of GMPtraining.Keywords: Competency, Work Environment Support, Effectiveness of Training, GoodManufacturing Practices (GMP)

Abstract

Abstract:Global financial crisis has threatened livelihoods and access to food for those who have lost jobs and income. Deteriorating in purchasing power due to decline in income and high inflation, in turn will affect food consumption. This situation undoubtly brings about the disruption in food security. The food security pillar should not rely on quantitative approach, but also on other pillars in a wider food spectrum. The ways to enhance food security is to develop food diversification based on food industry. The aim of this paper is to analyze how the impacts of global financial crisis on food security based on food industry in Indonesia. This research takes 9 groups of 5 digits KBLI code of food industry in 1996-2009 periods. The analyzed method is based on panel data using simultaneous equation model. The result shows that there is a simultaneous relation between structure conduct and performance of food industry and food security. Market structure of food industry become more concentrated in that period and GFC affected market concentration on some KBLI of food industry.Keywords: food industry, food security, structure-conduct-performance

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji tingkat literasi keuangan mahasiswa dan karakteristik demografis yang mempengaruhinya. Responden penelitian sejumlah 444 mahasiswa yang berasal dari Fakultas Ekonomi (FE) dan Non Fakultas Ekonomi (Non-FE) di sebuah universitas swasta (PTS) di Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dengan indikator literasi keuangan meliputi: basic personal finance, manajemen uang, utang dan kredit, tabungan dan investasi serta manajemen resiko. Metode analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji beda, regresi probit dan tobit. Hasil statistik deskriptif menunjukkan tingkat literasi keuangan mahasiswa relatif rendah, yakni sejumlah 37.79%. Terlebih, hasil studi menunjukkan adanya perbedaan literasi keuangan mahasiswa FE dan Non FE serta tahun angkatan. Literasi keuangan paling tinggi dimiliki oleh mahasiswa FE dengan tahun angkatan 2016. Hasil regresi probit dan tobit menunjukkan tahun angkatan dan disiplin ilmu berpengaruh terhadap literasi keuangan. Implikasi penting dari hasil penelitian adalah peran universitas melalui perumusan kurikulum pembelajaran dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman literasi keuangan mahasiswa, khususnya pada aspek tabungan dan investasi.
