Abstract

This study has the purpose of (1) How is the pedagogic competence of students of elementary school teacher education; (2) How is the science competency of elementary school teacher education students; (3) Is there a relationship between pedagogic competence and science competence of elementary school teacher education students. The research method used in this study was a quantitative survey. Based on the results of the study, students' data obtained from elementary school teacher education for pedagogic competence and science competency fall into the unfavorable category with a pedagogic percentage of 67.9% and IPA of 63.52% and obtained data for the meaning of pedagogic efficiency (7.632), min 2.0), max (13.0) and standard deviation (2.2921) while for science competencies, the average (7.84), min (0), max (16) and standard deviation (2,773) and also between pedagogic competencies with natural science competencies produce 0,483 These figures reflect the variables of pedagogic competence with science competence because the value of r is below 0.5. Pedagogic competence with IPA competency obtained probability = 0,000 <0,005, so there is a significant existence. Instead of offering a pedagogic with IPA competencies mark '*'. Means together with pedagogic competencies with IPA competencies have a significant relationship.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of drill training methods and approaches to play with eye-hand coordination towards increasing under-passing volleyball. This study used . There was no comparison group in the design group. The population of this study was 40 female students who participated in volleyball extracurricular activities. Data analysis techniques used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test for normality, homogeneity test and t-test to test hypotheses, samples correlated at a significance level of 5%. Test results show that there is a drill training effect on the ability to graduate. Hypothesis testing shows the value of t arithmetic (3.33)> t table (2,080), and p value (0,003) <0,05, indicating that Ho is rejected and Ha has been accepted means that there are significant differences in improving the ability to graduate after being treated. Based on the mean (mean) shows the average > pretest. These results can be concluded that there is a significant effect of drill training on increasing the under-passing ability of women's volleyball in SD 1 .

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using student worksheets based on collaborative teamwork learning on student learning achievement. The research design used was One Shot Case Study and One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The research data was taken from the value of observations and initial and final tests whose results were tested using the One Sample T-Test and Paired Sample T-Test. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using one sample t-test with Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) values obtained ≤ 0.05 so H0 is rejected, which means the average value of science process skills and collaboration skills> 72, the results of paired sample t-test the value of pretest-posttest cognitive ability has the same Sig. (2-tailed) value and below 0.05 is 0,000 so H1 is accepted, meaning that there are differences in the average pretest-posttest results using LKPD based on collaborative teamwork learning so that there is an influence of student worksheets based on collaborative teamwork learning on student learning achievement as indicated by the average value of collaboration skills and science process skills> 72.

Abstract

The aims of this research are: 1) to investigate the type of learning difficulties in initial reading and writing faced by second grade students, 2)the factors that caused them having learning difficulties in initial reading and writing. The approach is descriptive qualitative research in form of case study. The subjects of research are second grade students of elementary school 01 Sumoroto, Ponorogo. The data collection techniques are obtained using documentations and interviews. The data obtained are non-statistic data. The data are analysed using interactive models, namely data reduction, data presentation, data conclusion and verification. The results of the study are (1) the type of learning difficulties, in initial reading and writing faced by second grade students of elementary school 01 Sumoroto, namely students that are not fluent in spelling, less clear pronunciation, lack of letters memorization, difficult to distinguish letters, incomplete of words writing, difficulties in composing sentences; (2) the factors that caused learning difficulties in reading and writing are adolescence, love to play rather than learning,like to be a trouble maker in class, study at home when the teacher gives homework, lack of attention, less motivation, and the teacher is less assertive.

Abstract

Therefore, a university should be able to distinguish itself by focusing on factors which students consider locally, instead of known common aspects which over universities overseas consider for their students. Two surveys were conducted highlighting the decision factors. Secondary research created the foundation for the primary research targeting Dubai-based students. In total, 75 current and 220 potential students participated in the survey, where demographics, factors, and preference of university location were examined. To analyze the data, the mean analysis and MANOVA were used. Also, an integrated marketing communication (IMC) analysis of the brand was conducted. The researchers observed a significant difference between Dubai and the global market. Results reveal that majority of the students consider degree recognition as the most important aspect of their education, followed by career after graduation, academic excellence, and practical approach. There was no direct correlation between the location and a final decision to join. The list of recommendations was created to enhance the IMC practices in the niche market, including conventional and digital marketing, events and PR. One of the limiting factors of this research can be considered the diverse sample of respondents (nationality, curriculum, residency location). This research serves as a foundation for marketing campaigns for Dubai universities and can contribute to the strategic roadmap by focusing on prime factors affecting students’ decision.

Abstract

This article aims to improve the ability of teachers and students to make media maps arise and improve teacher understanding and ability in terms of understanding pedagogical aspects that can be seen from the process of designing a Learning Implementation Plan (LIP) especially in terms of choosing a model or learning method. This activity was held at SMAN 2 using training methods, question and answer, and practice. In accordance with the objectives of the implementation of the activity, it is expected that teachers and students have an increased ability in terms of mastery to make map media arise. Then the teacher can also improve the teacher's understanding/ability in terms of understanding pedagogical aspects that can be seen from the process of designing the LIP especially in terms of choosing a learning model. By carrying out training to improve teacher skills in developing learning media, Geography Teachers are expected to have sufficient competence in terms of designing and utilizing media so that quality learning is created.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the formation of scientific attitudes of students after using jigsaw type cooperative learning and STAD (student team achievement division) in basic natural science courses. The method used in this research is to form a group of students consisting of 4-5 people to discuss a theme related to the theme of lectures. After students receive the theme from the lecturer, each group discusses it. The results showed that 91.3% curious attitude, 90.18% respect for facts, critical thinking 93.62%, 90.83% openness, 88.4% perseverance, honesty, 97.02%, responsibility 90 , 31%. From the results of the assessment showed the scientific attitude of students included in the excellent category. The conclusion of this study is that learning Basic Natural Sciences by using jigsaw cooperative learning and STAD (student team achievement division) can form scientific attitudes very well.

Abstract

This study aims to determine effectiveness of Multiple Intelligences (MI) strategy to the skills of imitating mathematical reasoning fourth grade students of elementari school. The research design used is quasi experimental design with form none equivalent control group design. Data analysis technique in this reasearch include independet sample t test to determine whether there is difference effect in imitating mathematical reasoning skills between the control calss and experiment class. Then, one sample t-test to determine the effectiveness of MI strategy to students’ imitating mathematical reasoning skills. Based on the result of the hypothesis test using independent sample t test, the values of treuslt is 3,351 (ttable2,032) by significance values 0,002. Next, the result of one sample t test showed the value of tresultis 7,880 (ttable 2,110) by value of significance is 0,000. Refer from the result obtained, It can be concluded 1) there are differences of students; imitating mathematical reasoning skill among the students who use the MI strategy with students who use the conventional strategy; 2) the MI strategy is effective to increase of students’ imitating mathematical reasoning skill.

Abstract

This research isa qualitative research based oncasestudiestoinvestigatethe quality ofthe arguments and personal knowledge of scienceteachers about global warming. Thesubjects ofthis research were 20scienceteachersfromthesamestudy program and university. Data collectiontechniques use interview methods and written arguments. Qualitative analysis of datafrom interviews and written arguments reveals thatsomescienceteachers use evidence during argumentation, butthe evidence used is often not accurate enoughtosupport or refute other people's claims or arguments andsome otherscience teachers use personal perspectivesin argumentation becausescienceteachers have difficulty building evidence-based argumentation. In addition, somescienceteachers have similarities inknowledge about global warming, butthere aresomescienceteachers who differ intheir belief inscientific expertise and thecredibility of scientific evidence. This research is expectedto help increasetheknowledge andskills ofscience teachersto educate global warmingto students and prepare studentsto makethe right decisions about global warming in the future.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the development LKPD with PBL approach that is valid and practical. This study used the research method of developing a 4D model with test subjects in class X APHP 1 and X APL 1 at SMK N 1 Cangkringan, Sleman. The results of the teacher's practicality assessment after the LKPD applied in long jump learning in both classes met the practicality criteria with a very good category. The per- centage of students' practicality assessment of LKPD with a minimum category both in both classes fulfilled more than 80%. In class X APHP 1 as many as 100% of students stated that LKPD in the minimum category was good and in class X APL 1 as many as 93.55%. Thus LKPD hanging style long jump learning with PBL approach can be said to be valid and practical.
