Abstract

Background: Psychological well-being in a person is influenced by several factors, one of which is gender, where this factor is a differentiator between psychological well-being that is owned by a father or mother as a parent which will affect the ability to overcome problems that occur in the family, especially problems child health.Purpose: This study aims to determine differences in Psychological Well-Being viewed by gender in Depok City. Methods: The study population was parents who have children with autism spectrum disorder (ADS) at SEKOLAH LUAR BIASA Budi Lestari and Harapan Utama Ananda School. This type of research was quantitative with a correlation descriptive design. The sampling technique to be used was total sampling (n=30). Data collection was carried out on 23 – 27 June 2022. The instrument in this research uses the Psychological Well-Being Scale (PWBS) instrument. Results: The results of data analysis obtained sig value. with a positive correlation coefficient of 0.695, which means that the strength of the relationship is strong.Discussion: The level of psychological well-being in each person is different. One of the factors that influence a person's psychological well-being is their belief in the roles they carry out on a daily basis. This gender difference determines how the parenting pattern is given or carried out by parents to their children. Conclusion: There is a strong and positive relationship between gender and parents with psychological well-being in parents who have children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Abstract

Background: Nurses need a diagnostic tool in the form of a simple scoring system including the Gadjah Mada Stroke Algorithm (ASGM) and Guy's Hospital Stroke Score (GHSS) in determining the type of stroke and preventing delays.Purpose: Analyzing the comparison of the ASGM and GHSS scoring systems in determining the type of stroke emergency. Methods: This research method was a quantitative pre-experimental design (posttest only design). The population was all stroke patients in the emergency room with 30 samples and the sampling technique is accidental sampling. As for the stages for each respondent, an ASGM assessment was carried out which consisted of 3 components and GHSS 9 components. The statistical test used is the Paired Sample T-test.Results: Based on the results of the Paired Sample T-test was the value of Sig. of 0.000 <0.05. The average difference in the duration of determining the type of emergency and nursing diagnoses on the assessment system and ASGM and GHSS is 7.6 minutes. Furthermore, it also shows lower data of 7.066 and upper 8.134. This shows that the duration range for determining the type of emergency using ASGM is around 7.1 – 8.1 minutes faster compared to GHSS. Based on the accuracy test that ASGM has a sensitivity level of 86.66% and a specificity of 96.66%, while GHSS has a sensitivity level of 56.66% and a specificity of 63.33%.Conclusion: ASGM and GHSS assessment methods are effective in determining the type of emergency in stroke patients in the emergency department.

Abstract

Background: Palliative care aims to improve the quality of life for patients with serious illnesses and their families. It is provided throughout the course of the disease, starting from the initial diagnosis to the grieving phase after the patient's death. Coronary artery disease has been proven to be a major cause of death, making palliative care important. Purpose: This study was to reflect the patient's case in order to gain of new insight and perspective. Methods: This article was a critical review of author experience when providing patient nursing care in a hospital. The case was reviewed using reflective practice. Results: Through reflection on the case, it was found that the initiation of palliative care was only carried out when the patient was continuously deteriorating. So that patients and their families do not receive adequate palliative care. Conclusion: Early palliative care has an impact on symptoms, quality of life, and support for patients and their families during the dying process. However, there are obstacles to early palliative care implementation, such as negative stigma, medical professionals who wish to continue giving treatment in hospitals till the end, and a lack of expertise and capability among health workers to deliver palliative care.

Abstract

Background: The role of parents as early as possible influences the child's growth and development later in life, especially the role of the mother during the critical period of the first 1000 days of life. Good maternal knowledge and care are positively related to the quality of child care, including children's eating habits.Purpose: This study aims to explore mothers' experiences of feeding shredded monasprest to children under-fives years old (baduta). Methods: The research design in this study was qualitative with a phenomenological method. There were 9 participants in this study, participants were not directed at number, but based on coverage until data saturation was reached. The sampling technique used purposive sampling in accordance with the inclusion criteria. The data collection tools used in this research were the researchers themselves with in-depth interview guidelines, field notes and recording equipment. The data in this study were analyzed using the Colaizi method. Results: The results of this research gave rise to two themes and in each theme, there were two sub-themes, namely the baduta's response when given Monasprest floss food and the response of the baduta's mother when giving Monasprest shredded food. Conclusion: This research shows that the response of toddlers when given monasprest shredded food increases the baduta's appetite and increases the frequency of eating with monasprest shredded food. As well as the response of the baduta mothers when giving the monasprest floss food, namely their interest in flossed monasprest and the mother's knowledge.

Abstract

Background: Factors that influence mothers in providing exclusive breastfeeding are lack of exposure to information about lactation management and lack of time for working mothers to provide breast feeding directly. One effort that can be made is providing counseling and demonstrations about lactation management using e-booklets to pregnant women to improve preparation for exclusive breastfeeding.Purpose: To understand the influence of lactation management efforts on behavior in preparation providing exclusive breastfeeding to pregnant women. Methods: This research uses a quasi-experimental research design with pre-test and post-test with control group. The number of samples in this study was all primigravida pregnant women in the second and third trimesters, totaling 56 people. Sampling used total sampling technique. Data analysis used the Man-Whitney test. Results: The results of the analysis of the intervention group obtained a p-value of 0.000, so there was a significant difference in the pre-test and post-test on the behavior of pregnant women regarding lactation management in the intervention group. The results of the control group analysis obtained a p-value of 0.272 so there was no significant difference in the pre-test and post-test on the behavior of pregnant women regarding lactation management in the control group. The research results obtained a p-value of 0.005, so there was a significant difference in the average behavior of pregnant women between the intervention and control groups. Conclusion: There is an influence of lactation management efforts on improving the behavior of pregnant women in preparation for exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

Background: Simulation activities are an effective teaching method to increase student participation. Assessing student satisfaction with simulation methods is also important because it has not been fully explored in previous research.Purpose: The purpose of this research was to analyze the relationship between simulation design scale, education practice questionnaire, students' self-confidence and self-confidence in learning for Bachelor of Applied Nursing students. Methods: This research was a cross sectional descriptive study conducted on Bachelor of Applied Nursing students at the Ministry of Health Semarang Health Polytechnic in June-September 2023. The sample used was a total sampling of 80 students who were in the third year of study. Data collection techniques were carried out using the Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence in Learning Scale (SCLS), Simulation Design Scale (SDS), and Educational Practice Questionnaire (EPQ) questionnaires and then processed using the Spearman rank test to determine the relationship between the three. Results: The results of the Spearman rank test test show that SDS is strongly related to EPQ (0.744), SDS is strongly related to SSCL (0.681), while EPQ is very strongly related to SSCL (0.846) with a positive relationship between each variable. There is a significant relationship between the SDS, EPQ, SSCL variables in Bachelor of Applied Nursing students with a p-value <0.05.Conclusion: Nursing students' satisfaction and confidence with simulation-based learning correlated with students' confidence in clinical practice.
