Abstract

A traditional market certainly differs from modern retail market. Therefore, managementof traditional market is not similar with that of modern one. Because traditional market has uniquecharacteristics that the modern one has not. Recently, growth of traditional market is much leftbehind quantitatively and qualitatively by the modern, while existence of traditional market isperceived as still needed by people. The article aims to discuss ways of managing traditionalmarket in order to produce win-win solutions for all related parties, namely, consumers are satisfied,traders have better earnings, and local government can enhance its income from local resource. It isexpected, therefore, traditional market can survive from competition, and well-developed. Actually,traditional market has good enough potency in developing local economic.

Abstract

Indonesian cluster studies has been an emerged issue in business studies. This paper studies rattan cluster industry in Surakarta by using value chain analysis proposed by Porter (1985). We use embedded case study methods in order to capture the depth of the issue. The result shows that there are two kinds of procurement in the Surakartarattan cluster, they are cash and credit with unique terms of trade. Also, this study shows that raw material is the main problem in the industry. We recommend that the Indonesian government should pay more attention to the supply of raw material in the rattanindustry.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify: (1) the characteristic of  strong corporate culture (2)  the role of strong corporate culture, (3) the values as basically to strong corporate culture in PT Batik Danar Hadi  Surakarta. This study used a qualitative approach with a multicase study design using a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participant observation, and study documentation. Data were analyzed repeatedly through the triangulation analysis. The object of this study are have work experience of more than 10 years and having job possision in PT Batik Danar Hadi  Surakarta. Results obtained from this study states that of the ten character of organizational culture that are (1) creativity and innovative, (2)  agresivity, (3) attention to detail, (4) full expertise, (5) outcome orientated, (6) humanity oriented, (7) team work system, (8) harmonity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between consumer characteristics andproduct attributes. Dimensions of consumer characteristics, are age, education, occupation,and income consumers. While, the dimention of product atribute are price, design, facility andlocation. This research’s setting is in the property industry. The research uses chi-square as atool of analysis. The results show that there is a relationship between consumer’s characteristicsand product attribute. Education level has the highestimpact to product attribute.

Abstract

This research is aimed to find out the influences of perception, attitude, motivation, religiousness and learning towards the customer's decision in choosing the islamic banking product. This research sample is the customer's Bank Syariah Mandiri Tegal. The total samples are 105 people from Tegal, Tegal Regency and Brebes Regency. The respondent's answers towards closed questions related to the studied variable in this research, then were analyzed by using double linear regression test, while the answers to the opened questions were analyzed qualitatively.The analysis result showed that the motivation and learning variables give positive and significant affect towards the customer's decision in choosing islamic banking product. Meanwhile, the perception, attitude, and religiousness variables do not give any affect towards the customer's decision.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) identify the characteristics of superior organizational cultures in the Masaran Sragen Batik Industry in Central Java. (2) identifying the role of superior organizational culture in the Central Java Masaran Batik Industry. (3) analyzing the values that underlie the existence of superior organizational culture in the Masaran Batik Industry of Sragen, Central Java. The study used a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Case study data were obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation or archives. To get data that is truly valid, then the validity of the data checking uses a triangulation technique that is checking or as a comparison of the data. The results of the study can be concluded that the characteristics of superior organizational culture in the Laweyan batik industry, as follows: (1) the nature of transparency, (2) There is the nature of accuracy (detaility) (3) There is a dynamic nature in managing the industry (4) There is a Proactive nature in addressing an ever changing environment. (5) The nature of Professionalism, (6) The existence of mutual cooperation, (7) There is a creative nature in managing the company.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji ada tidaknya pengaruh yang signifikan antara kualitas pelayanan jasa dengan keputusan pasien berobat rawat inap di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi. Dugaan awal yang dikemukakan pada penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh signifikan antara kualitas pelayanan dengan keputusan pasien di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi. Semakin baik kualitas pelayanan yang diberikan oleh pihak rumah sakit, maka akan semakin tinggi tingkat kepuasan yang dirasakan oleh pasien. Begitu juga sebaliknya, semakin buruk kualitas pelayanan yang diberikan pihak rumah sakit, maka semakin rendah tingkat kepuasan yang dirasakan oleh pasien.Subjek dalam penelitian ini merupakan pasien di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi yang berjumlah 100 orang. Data responden diperoleh dengan kuesioner yang disebarkan secara langsung kepada pasien dan dianalisis dengan pengujian validitas dengan menggunakan metode Pearson Product Moment, pengujian reliabilitas dengan metode Alpha Cronbach. Alat pengujian yang digunakan untuk pengujian hipotesis adalah alat uji yang dapat menguji ada tidaknya perbedaan rata-rata antara empat kelompok sampel yang saling independen terhadsap suatu variabel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa uji Anova atau F-test menghasilkan nilai f hitung sebesar 4.532 dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,005. Karena probabilitas signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0,05, maka model regresi dapat digunakan untuk memprediksi kepuasan pasien atau dapat dikatakan kualitas pelayanan, tempat, dan harga secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan pasien. Dari hasil penghitungan menggunakan SPSS 13 menunjukkan besarnya nilai koefisien determinasi r2 = 0,124. Hal ini berarti 12,4% variansi kepuasan pasien yang dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel kualitas pelayanan, tempat, dan harga. Sedangkan sisanya (100% - 12,4% = 87,6%) dijelaskan oleh faktor lain yang tidak termasuk dalam penelitian.

Abstract

In the wholesale business is closely related to customer satisfaction. Lots of different ways to make customers feel satisfied and it is important to keep them coming back wholesale to grocery stores them. At this level of business turnover is very fast and requires significant attention to keeping the existing inventory. Therefore, the determination of the right supplier is crucial closely related to the existing value chain in the store. There are several important components of concern in this study. These components are in the form of service, price, delivery order and availability of goods. Based on these survey results can be known percentage of the price plays animportant role on the level of sales of grocery stores. While little change will greatly affect the priceof the sale of goods. While the lowest is the delivery order will does not mean that these componentsshould be excluded from the wholesale business to attract customers.

Abstract

This study describes the effect of asset structures and capital structures on bank financialperformance. Recently, bank financial performance could be seen through bank’s financial reportpublished on mass media. The measurement criterias of bank performance are established by BankIndonesia based on five aspects of CAMEL ie capital adequacy ratio, assets quality, management,earnings power and liquidity. This research involves 15 Public Banks and 15 BPR’s at Klaten as samples. The sample periodsin this research is one year 2005. The result shows that the capital adequacy ratio, assets quality,rentability or earnings power, liquidity are not influenced by assets structures and capital structures
