KARSA is a peer-reviewed national journal published by Institut Agama Islam Negeri Madura. It has been nationally accredited SINTA 2 since 2017 by Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education of Republic Indonesia. It is published twice a year (June and December). It publishes articles of research results, applied theory studies, social issues, cultural studies, and Islamic culture issues. The aim of KARSA is to disseminate cutting-edge research that explores the interrelationship between social studies and (including) culture. The journal has scope and seeks to provide a forum for researchers interested in the interaction between social and cultural aspects across several disciplines. The journal publishes quality, original and state-of-the-art articles that may be theoretical or empirical in orientation and that advance our understanding of the intricate relationship between social science and culture. KARSA accepts manuscript with a different kind of languages are Indonesian, English, Arabic, or French.

Abstract

Abstrak:Perempuan merupakan salah satu komponen yang sangat penting dalam bidang pembangunan masyarakat pesisir. Kehidupan nelayan yang kerapkali lekat dengan belenggu kemiskinan dan ketidakpastian penghasilan mendorong para perempuan nelayan untuk lebih giat memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam perekonomian rumah tangga mereka, khususnya pada aktivitas pasca penangkapan. Minimnya ketrampilan yang dimiliki, upah bekerja yang rendah hingga ketiadaan jaminan sosial kerja merupakan sebagian dari kendala-kendala yang selalu dihadapi oleh perempuan nelayan. Transfer pengetahuan berkenaan dengan pengelolaan hasil laut pasca penangkapan didukung dengan strategi pemasaran dan manajemen pengelolaan keuangan merupakan salah satu di antara program-program pengembangan masyarakat pesisir yang berorientasi pada perempuan, yang bisa dilakukan oleh pemerintah, sehingga apa yang telah dilakukan oleh para perempuan nelayan selama ini tidak lagi dipandang sebelah mata dan harapan untuk dapat hidup sejahtera serta bebas dari belenggu kemiskinan dapat pula terwujud.Kata Kunci:perempuan, rumah tangga nelayan, dan pemberdayaan kualitasAbstract:Women become one of  important components in the development of coatsal area  community. The lif of fisherman has been often identical with the poor life and the indeterminancy income. It encourages women in the coastal area to be more active in in supporting the family income by giving the real contribution mainly after fishing time. For these women,  life is not really easy. They face some troubles, inspite of they are poorly skilled they also underpaid and they don’t have work and social sureties. This article suggets some programs that is women oriented; they include knowledge transformation on sea product management, marketing strategy, and finance management. After all, we cannot in a capacity to  neglect what these women do to keep the family, to realize a  wealthy life, and to break free from  poverty. Key words:women, fisherman family, and quality empowerment.

Abstract

The differences of understanding and point of view on gender and gender equity have become the basis of this study. It exploits the distinction any further particularly in academic community. The focus of study is specifically on the orientation of research theme and the direction of gender study analysis which are written by in undergraduate thesis. The study is successful in identification that gender study themes have been dominated by the contextual study or ap-licative-empiric instead of the study of textual or normative-legalistic. Gender study is viewed as the study about women not about gender or the study utili-zing gender as tool of analysis. The analysis of women study mostly use des-criptive one, it only describes position and role of women, whereas the gender study uses critical analysis, that ilustrate the arguments behind the role and position of women. Abstract

Abstrak:Dengan gaya bahasa refelektif, memberontak dan “kiri”, artikel ini berusaha menunjukkan relasi konsisten-koherensial antara kedewasaan beragama yang mengejawantah dalam kedewasaan berbudaya yang akhirnya akan mengantarkan pada penjaminan kedewasaan berbangsa.  Berislam, yang mencerminkan kedewasaan adalah keberagamaan yang berusaha menyadari bahwa praksis keagamaan bukan merupakan hakikat agama, sehingga –berislam—lebih merupakan tindakan manusia Muslim yang sadar budaya, sehingga untuk berislam tidak mesti mengidentifikasi diri sebagai Arab Murni, tetapi secara arif berusaha menyerap nilai lokalitas. Artinya, dewasa beragama, bermakna berusaha meletakkan yang universal pada tataran yang universal dan yang profan sebagai profan, memutlakkan yang mutlak dan merelatifkan yang relatif.Kata kunci:Islam, budaya lokal,  kedewasaan berbangsa

Abstract

AbstractIn Indonesia, public regard sex as something natural. Sex is god’s omnipotence, hence it is not important to communicate it to children and teenagers. They will know the information about sex as soon as they grow older. However the rapid growth of mass media, puts many parents in a dilema. How the parents protect the children from the trap  of cultural sexuality values, and social reality values particularly from the case of sexual harshment. Abstract

It has been an urgent agenda to rediscuss the women role in regards to classic assumption proclaimed that women deserve to be in the house and manage domestic matters. Therefore, the questions would be: will it be a gender problem and a kind of descrimination if women stay at home at all times? What if the women prefer staying at home, as convinient and comfortable choice, to having career freely in public sphere? By keeping up the construction of role sharing with the absence of negotiation and reconsideration about role and position of men and women in a family, might facilitate the strength of gender imbalance that can inflict the both sides.Copyright (c) 2015 by KARSA. Abstract

Abstrak:Tulisan ini menyajikan kajian keislaman yang sering dijadikan model pergulatan pemikiran yang sedang berkembang di dunia Islam. Dalam kajian tersebut didapati bahwa pemahaman Islam beranika ragam. Tampilan rumusan Islam tersebut dihampiri dengan berbagai macam pendekatan, diantaranya tekstual-kontekstual dan struktural-fungsional. Abstract

AbstractThe dichotomy of religious science and general science has become serious problem that haunts the education system among Muslims.  It implies the development of religious education that seperates the life and after-life matters. One of the sollutions is by placing the unification of the epistimology and theory of educational system into a system. This is to find out the synthesis of educational system by stressing the balance aspect and must be developed thriugh the use of human natura pillars that is covered by religious teaching. The focus of the target would be on integrative and multi-dimensional aspects of students---cognitice, psychomotoric, and affective. It means that an integrative education is not only a matter of one way educational process but also the multi-dimensional education process. It goes around physical and psychological processes, intellectual, behavior, and social.  On the context of religious education systematic and organism models are built upon the components of cooperation, living togetehr, integratively. Abstract

Abstrak: Artikel ini berusaha semaksimal mungkin merefleksikan dimensi epistemologis tradisi ritual samman, sebagai tradisi budaya masyarakat Madura, dalam perspektif ‘Abd al-Jabbar. Hasil refleksi menunjukkan bahwa tradisi ritual samman dalam masyarakat Madura merupakan salah satu media latihan mencapai ekstase religius menuju Sang Khalik. Semua itu dilakukan dalam rangka terciptanya ketenangan batin, ketenteraman, rasa aman, dan kesejahteraan hidup. Seluruh prosesi tradisi ritual samman terdiri dari lima babak yang meliputi aspek gerakan, bacaan, dan formasi berupa pusat orbit lingkaran. Simbol-simbol dalam tradisi ritual samman terdiri dari simbol tarian sakral, pusat orbit lingkaran, huruf serta simbol Allah dan Muhammad. Dimensi epistemologis tradisi ritual samman merupakan pengetahuan yang dimiliki masyarakat Madura tentang tradisi ritual samman sebagai hasil dialektika antara unsur obyektif berupa fakta-empiris-sensual dan fakta-akal-budi-rasional yang bersifat korespondensi, dan unsur subyektif berupa ketenangan jiwa dalam meyakini kebenaran tradisi ritual samman yang bersifat koherensi dengan ajaran Islam. Abstract

Erie Hariyanto (penulis adalah pengampu matakuliah Hukum Pidana jurusan Syariah STAIN Pamekasan, Alumni Magister Hukum Universitas Islam Malang) Abstrak: Carok berada dipersimpangan jalan antara tradisi yang harus dilakukan demi membela harga diri dan carok sebagai suatu bentuk kejahatan dengan kekerasan yang sangat meresahkan masyarakat, sekaligus tindakan yang tidak akan dibenarkan oleh negara karena tergolong tindakan main hakim sendiri (eigenrichting). Apabila terjadi pertentangan antara hukum negara (State Law) dengan hukum yang ada dalam suatu masyarakat (Folk Law), selama kebudayaan (Tradisi) tidak bertentangan dengan hukum positif Indonesia maka maka pelaksanaannya bisa diteruskan dan dilestarikan. Bagaimana dengan Carok, dalam tulisan ini akan diungkap kaitannya dengan sosiologi hokum dan  perkembangan masyarakat madura dewasa ini. Kata kunci: carok, Hukum Pidana, Budaya Madura
