Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in understanding of the concept of place number values in class 1B students by using color glass media at SDN Purwantoro 2 Malang. This study uses qualitative research and the type of research is classroom action research. The data sources are class 1 of SDN Purwantoro 2 Malang, totaling 25 students and class 1B teachers. The data obtained in the form of understanding concept of place number value seen from the value of student learning outcomes. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. Time of study January to February 2019. This study was conducted in 2 cycles and each cycle had 2 meetings. Each cycle has 4 stages, namely preparation, implementation, observation, and reflection. The application of color glass media increases the understanding of the concept of place number values in class 1B students at SDN Purwantoro 2 Malang. It is shown that understanding the concept of place number values seen from student learning outcomes in the pre-cycle average value of students at 63.2 increased to 66.6 in the first cycle and 81.6 in the second cycle with the percentage of completeness from 36% in the pre-cycle to 56% in the cycle I and 80% in cycle II.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of learning outcomes of science materials classifying animals based on the type of food using group discussion methods in fourth grade students of SD 1 Sidorekso as well as to improve student learning activities especially in the first semester of 2015/2016 science lessons. The research method used is classroom action research. The research subjects were 27 students. Data collection techniques using the test method. The analysis technique goes through two stages, namely 1) using comparative descriptive analysis techniques and 2) using observation techniques with descriptive analysis based on the results of observation and reflection. The study carried out two cycles from July to September 2015. Each cycle includes four stages of activity, namely planning (planning), implementing actions (acting),observing (observing) and reflection (reflecting). The results showed that the learning outcomes of science about classifying animals based on their type of food using group discussion methods in fourth grade students of SD 1 Sidorekso could increase. From the initial conditions, the average formative test score is 61.48 with the percentage completed 29.63% and the percentage of tifak complete 70.37%. The results of the first cycle increased by an average of 68.15 with a complete percentage of 66.67% and the percentage did not complete 33.33%. The results of the second cycle rose to 73.70 with the percentage completed 96.30% and the percentage did not complete 3.70%. Conclusion of group discussion methods can improve science learning outcomes and student activities.

Abstract

This study aimed to illustrate some learning activities in Integrated English class byutilizing WhatsApp application and how the students respond to its implementation. The study was conducted in Accounting Department at University of Technology Yogyakarta. The subject of this study was 66 students in Accounting Class A of 2018/2019 Academic Year. The instruments to gather the data were observation, questionnaires and unstructrured interview. The result of this study showed that WhatsApp Application could be utilized as one of the beneficial devices to assist students in learning integrated English and there were positive responses from students during the implementation of WhatsApp in their learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of the character of homeland love for elementary school students through the application of ethno-edutainment-based learning. This research is a pre-experimental study with one group pretest post test design research design. The sample used in this study was a fifth grade student of Muhammadiyah Kudus Elementary School with a purposive sampling technique. Data on students' love of homeland characters was obtainedusing student observation sheets and analyzed using normalized gain tests. The results showed that students' homeland love character scores after learning were higher, reaching 12.54 compared to before learning with a score of 6.36. The results of the normalized gain analysis show that the level of increase in the love character of the homeland students in the low category was 4.55%, the medium category was 40.91%, and the high category was 54.54%. Classically, the value of normalized gain <g> is 72% or 0.72, which means that the interpretation of the increasein the character of love for the country is high

Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) to analyze DUDI demand on the competence ofvocational graduates in an effort to achieve a balance of the labor market, and (2) analyzethe supply of vocational graduates needed by DUDI in an effort to achieve a balance of thelabor market. In this study using qualitative approaches primary data analysis methods.This research was conducted in Central Java Province in 2018. The results of this studyare: (1) the qualifications of the workforce needed for DUDI in the middle to upper scaleare primarily having a certificate of competence, having IT and foreign language skills,and having experience working in the field the same for 1 year, and (2) the competencies ofvocational graduates produced have been sought to adjust DUDI's needs, but there arelimitations in the ability of vocational graduates because of the lack of facilities andinfrastructure in schools and the limited ability of educators.

Abstract

The study aims to find out the effectiveness of the discussion forum on Moodle based elearning to improve students learning participation. The study employs pre-experiment method with one group pretest-posttest design and analysis method uses non-parametric statistics with T-test. The study is conducted at Information Technology Department of Faculty of Education at University of Technology Yogyakarta. The research sample is taken from the fourth semester student of Information Technology Education Department who enroll theory course. Instrument used in this study is guided observation to observe students learning participation with 2 answer alternatives. The study result shows that discussion forum on Moodle based e-learning can improve students learning participation compared to discussion occurred in the conventional classroom or classical discussion with the significant result of improvement for about 37%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemahaman konsep, komunikasi, koneksi, penalaran, pemecahan masalah, berpikir kritis, dan berpikir kreatif matematis mahasiswa PGSD pada mata kuliah Etnomatematika. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa semester 6 Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Universitas Muria Kudus (PGSD UMK) tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik tes. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes uraian untuk mengukur kemampuan matematis mahasiswa. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif untuk mengetahui profil kemampuan matematis mahasiswa dan distribusi pencapaian predikat pada setiap kemampuan matematis yang diukur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis mahasiswa PGSD mencapai rata-rata 88,44 dengan predikat A; (2) rata-rata kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa mencapai 74,54 dengan predikat B; (3) rata-rata kemampuan koneksi matematis mahasiswa mencapai 10,63 dengan predikat E; (4) rata-rata kemampuan penalaran matematis mahasiswa memperoleh nilai 36,93 dengan predikat D; (5) rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mahasiswa mencapai 76,28 dengan predikat AB; (6) rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis mahasiswa mencapai 77,56 dengan predikat AB; dan (7) rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis mahasiswa mencapai 64,83 dengan predikat BC.

Abstract

This study aims to create children's learning media in the form of educational games for dollhouses for daily prayer memorization and life skills education for early childhood.The development method used in making this product is the method of research & development (R&D). The stages of development used in this study consisted of needs analysis, identification of product specifications, product development, product validation, product revisions and trials. The subjects in this study amounted to 6 with the object of daily doll house prayer research. The data collection method used was a questionnaire filled out by trustees. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis. The final product is a doll house educational game kit that is integrated with Arduino nano and Reed switch. Products can produce daily prayer sounds and various sound effects that support children's competence in memorizing daily prayers and life skills education. Reed switches are placed in parts of the dollhouse that are set to produce sound. This educational game is presented in a package with Muslim dolls in which there are magnets. When the doll is about a Reed switch, the program on Arduino Nano will give a command to the DFPlayer mini to turn on the sound of prayer and sound effects in accordance with the role activities carried out by children.

Abstract

The task of education in general is to deliver, to create quality individuals or learners, to be noble in character, and to be dedicated to the nation and people. In the world of formal education, it is known as conservation education, namely education programs that instill and preserve socio-cultural values (justice) which are considered as guidelines for humans as individuals who live in a social group. Conservation education in its latest development is no longer only done in the classroom orally and in writing, but the visual learning model outside the classroom has also been practiced. Mural in the context of conservation education in schools has an active role as a medium of learning with visual methods to improve students' understanding and knowledge of socio-cultural values.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the influence of exampel non_example and inside outside circle learning models in thematic learning assisted by audiovisual media of IVSD 2 grade students Temulus, 3 Temulus and 3 Kirig Mejobo Kudus on the sub-theme 1 ethnic diversity and religion in my country in Indonesian and Science. The research method used is experimentation. The design used in experimental research using the design "pre test and post test design". This study was divided into three groups: the first group learning with the Example Non Example model assisted by audiovisual media, the second group learning with the IOC model assisted by audiovisual media, and the third group learning with conventional models (control class). The subjects in this study were all class IV in Mejobo District. The research sample was taken from 3 classes selected purposively, namely SD 2 Temulus, SD 3 Temulus, and SD 3 Kirig. The results of this study indicate that (1) There is a significant effect Example Non Example Learning Model in thematic learning assisted by audiovisual media in Class IV of Elementary School. The results of data analysis state thitung> t table (5,982> 2,056), then Ha is accepted; (2) There is a significant effect of Inside Outside Circle Learning Model in thematic learning assisted by audiovisual media of Grade IV Elementary School Students. The results of data analysis state thitung> t table (4,269> 2,074); (3) There is a difference between Example Non Example Learning Model and Inside Outside Circle Learning Model in audiovisual assisted thematic learning in Class IV Elementary School Students, but not significant. The results of data analysis state that t count> t table (3,043> 2,048), then Ha is accepted. But the significant results obtained a number of 0.348> 0.025.
