Abstract

This research is motivated by students' mathematical communication skills that areconsidered still low. This is because the use of learning models or methods is less varied, and the teacher has not linked the subject matter to the everyday context because in teaching only uses one learning source. The study aimed to find out whether there was an effect of the application of the Hypnoteaching method in Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) to the mathematical communication skills of fifth grade students of Elementary School 1 Sukarame. The research method used is Quasi Experimental (Quasy Experimental Design). The population in this research were all sixth grade students of Elementary School 1 Sukarame, amounting to 87 students. The sample in this study uses saturated sampling because the entire population is used as a sample. Students' mathematical communication skills were measured using a test consisting of 8 essay questions, with a reliability index of 0.707. Based on the results of normality, using the Liliefors test and homogeneity, using the Bartlett test, it was found that data from three samples were normally distributed and homogeneous. So that for testing hypotheses can beused Anava test one way with the same cell. Anova test results obtained obtained Fcount = 19.195, while the value of Ftable = 3.105, because Fcount> Ftable then H0 is rejected which means that is a significant influence of Hypnoteaching method in CTL. When H0 was rejected, it was carried out by a double compatibility test with the Schefee method, and from the three treatments it was concluded that the Hypnoteaching method in CTL was better than conventional Hypnoteaching learning methods and conventional learning methods.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describes the use of student’s contribution as a transition tool at each level of learning the fraction operation concept. This study involved fourth grade students of an elementary school in Ngada East Nusa Tenggara. The type of this research is Design Research with three stages, namely: initial design, teaching experiment and retrospective analysis. This research begins conduct a hypothetical learning trajectory (HLT) of fraction operations concept. The HLT has been tested before the actual learning process (ALT). The results of the retrospective analysis obtained an overview of the Actual Learning Trajectory (ALT) show that the use of various student’s contribution at each level of learning can lead to understanding the fraction operation concept.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how to develop scrapbook learning media for the material essay description on the subjects of Indonesian in grade III primary school and to determine the feasibility of scrapbook learning media for the material essay description on the Indonesian language in grade III developed elementary school received a judgment worthy of experts. This research was conducted in SDN Banjar Agung 4 with the subjects of class III-A students of 28 students with the details of 17 students on a limited trial. The type of research used refers to the development model Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel. This model consists of 3 stages namely, defining (define), planning (design), development stage (develop). The instruments used are questionnaires for media validation by expert lecturers as well as teacher and student response questionnaire. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the quality of scrapbook media developed is included in very decent category with 96.11% percentage from 2 material experts, very decent category with 85% percentage from 2 media experts, and 94% from 2 linguists. Student response to media scrapbook on trial with 17 respondents equal to 89,83% with very good category.

Abstract

Perwujudan budaya lokal terdapat pada tradisi, religi, sosial, teknologi dan seni. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan model pelestarian budaya melalui dunia pendidikan untuk mengembangkan visualisasi yang baru terhadap karakter-karakter budaya lokal di Kudus dengan cara melakukan kajian ilmu pengetahuan dan seni, melalui rekonstruksi serta melakukan visualisasi ulang terhadap karakter budaya lokal dengan gaya visual dan cerita yang baru agar bisa diterima khususnya oleh siswa-siswa di Sekolah Dasar. Jenis metode penelitian ini yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan (Research and Development atau R&D). Hasil yang dikembangkan dalam pengembangan bahan ajar terdiri dari: (1) Kajian tentang kondisi, persepsi dan kebutuhan bahan ajar berupa cerita bergambar budaya lokal Kudus; (2) Kajian hasil pengembangan bahan ajar berupa cerita bergambar budaya lokal kota Kudus, dan (3) Kajian hasil uji coba produk.Selama proses pembelajaran budaya lokal Kudus, hasil penilaian sikap diambil dari kemampuan kognitif dan psikomotorik melalui keaktifan siswa dan hasil pengamatan siswa. Aspek kognitif yang dimiliki yaitu pengetahuan tentang cerita budaya lokal Kudus, mennganalisis cerita budaya lokal Kudus dari segi makna yang terkandung

Abstract

This research aims to find out how big the relationship of nutritional status against motor ability of elementary school students 17 IV Koto Aur Malintang Padang Pariaman Regency.This type of research is co relational. The populations in this research are students of elementary school 17 IV Koto Aur Malintang Padang Pariaman Regency. There are 115 students and a sample is taken only son and 22 students by using purposive sampling technique. Technique Data analysis is using product moment correlation analysis.The result obtained from this research is the correlation significant between the nutritional status and motor skills. And this is evidenced from rcount = 0.748> rtable at α = 0.05 = 0.423. The conclusion of the research if there is a significant relationship between the nutritional status and motor skills in elementary school 17 IV Koto Aur Malintang Padang Pariaman Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the information literacy of Buddhist Education teachers in Pati Regency covering aspects of information needs, access to information, and utilization of information in teaching. This study uses a qualitative method. The data collection technique of this study uses interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis using the Milles & Hubberman model includes the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study include: (1)The information needs of Buddhist Education teachers can be classified into information needs to improve teacher competence and information needs for career advancement; (2) access to information sourced from various locations, the teachers have also been able to analyze, organize, and save information well; (3) the teacher utilizes the information literacy results in teaching and learning activities in the school despite experiencing obstacles such as the lack of infrastructure to support learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze community culture in understanding the eruption of Mount Merapi and analyze the meaning of education implied in the mythology of Mount Merapi. This study uses a qualitative approach. The informants in this study were the Cangkringan community, the caretaker of Mount Merapi, the NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) Cangkringan. Data collection techniques are carried out by participant observation and in-depth interviews. The collected data is then analyzed using domain, taxonomic, compound, and cultural theme analysis techniques.The findings in the form of public trust in Mount Merapi that people believe Mount Merapi is inhabited by supernatural beings who should have a life like humans. The supernatural beings have their own organization that regulates the government hierarchy with all its attributes and activities. One form of government hierarchy of supernatural beings that is closely related to society is that people believe that Mount Merapi is a Palace of Fine Beings.

Abstract

Improper communication between school and parent negatively impact the level of school accountability and community trusts. Therefore it is necessary to find the root of the problem and its solution. To solve the problem, the writer in the capacity as principal and management control holder in SD 1 Undaan Kidul Kudus use maximal service strategy that is open-transmitting. The term open-transmitting is an acronym of the open-transparant word - meeting - home visiting which is the original and pure thought of the author's own creativity. The execution of the strategy is in the form of activities related to the principle of openness, activities related to transparency (transparant), organizing meetings and conducting home visiting (home visits / gatherings). The results achieved are increased school accountability, awakening a sense of kinship and togetherness between schools, school committees, parents and the community, awakening a sense of belonging to the parents and community, increasing trust, awareness and community participation in the provision of education in elementary 1 of Kidul Kudus, increasing of support from village government toward progress of SD 1 Undaan Kidul Kudus and increasing positive image of excellence and uniqueness owned by SD 1 Undaan Kidul Kudus

Abstract

This research aims to development Puzzle Game by using Flash media on theme 4 my obligations and rights for third grade of elementary school dan to describe theeffectiveness of Puzzle Game using Flash media on theme 4 my obligations and rights for third grade of elementary school. The types of this research are Research and Development. This research consists of seven stages; 1) potential and problem; 2) data collection; 3) product design; 4) validation design; 5) revised design; 6) product trial; 7) revised product. The research data is the need for educational Puzzle Game, the prototype of educational Puzzle Game and the effectiveness of educational Puzzle Game. Data collection techniques consist of an observation, interview, questioner and documentation. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis. Descriptive data analysis in this study was used to determine the need test for the media and expert validation test, while totest the effectiveness of the media using the t test. Data sources of this research are the students of third grade and teacher of SD N 01 Pulorejo 01, SD N Winong 01, SD N Kebolampang as elementary experimental groups and SD N Sumbermulyo 01, SD N Kropak 02, SD N Godo 03 as elementary school control groups in Winong district, Pati Regency. The results of the puzzle game media prototype are a set of media containing puzzle games using flash applications, manual puzzle games, and puzzle game guidance. The effectiveness test results show that the puzzle media game is effective, which is indicated by the results of the t test. The results of the t test in the experimental and controlgroups were 9.052. Data from t test shows that t count > t table, which is 9.052> 1.657 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the t test, it can be concluded that the application of puzzle game media in class III is effective and suitable for use in learning activities

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of the need of authentic assessment in English language teaching in Indonesia. After the implementation of 2013 curriculum (Discovery Learning Curriculum), the evaluation that must be done by teacher is not only emphasized on cognitive domain but also in psychomotoric and affective domains. The authors reviewed the authentic assessment from both the information literacy and instructional design which can be applied by EFL teachers in their classes. Overall, this paper gives an outlook on what, why and how all about authentic assessment in ELT.
