Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the efforts of the Japanese Government in solving educational problems after the second world war. The research method used is library research. The results of the study found that one of the advances in education in Japan was then used as an instrument to solve the nation's problems, namely through the improvement and development of professional teachers. By building professional teachers, Japan is now one of the mecca of the advancement of education from the East. Education in Japan is known as education on a philosophical basis of developers other than Taiwan, while Western world education is based on inventors.

Abstract

This research was aimed at 1) measuring the learning result of the early childhood's motor ability between pretest and posttest, 2) analyzing the effectiveness of engklek game in the development of gross motor ability for the early childhood; 3) describing the children's responses on engklek game in the development of gross motor ability for the early childhood. This research applied experimental design with one group pretest posttest design in answering the problem statements of the research. The location of the research was in RA Manbaul Ma'arif. The data analysis technique used to calculate the research result was t-test. The research result shows that the result of gross motor ability is improved after being given the treatment through engklek game. Engklek game is effective in improving the children's hard motor ability. It is proven by the fact that most of the children are in the criteria of Starting to Develop when pretest was conducted and the criteria of Developed Excellently after the posttest was conducted. In addition, the traditional game especially engklek received the positive response from the early childhood to be applied in the learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the English needs of the Economics Management Study Program of Pekalongan University based on the perception of the English lecturers. The research design of this research was descriptive qualitative. The total sample used was 2 English lecturers in the Economics Management study program. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with a measurement scale in the form of numbers. The research data was described through needs, real conditions in the classroom, and the desire of the lecturer. The real conditions of learning in the classroom become a basic guideline for achieving the learning objectives in the target needs. These results were also adjusted to the wishes (Wants). Thus, it could be seen that according to the lecturers 'perception, English was an ability that had to be mastered in order to fulfill the students' self-need to understand the economic context in using English. Moreover, understanding and mastering the material supported students to compete in the world of work. From the lecturers’ perspective, it was known that speaking ability was the most important ability to be owned by students, and the difficulties most often faced by students according to the lecturer was in listening skill.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to describe the activities of teachers and students during the use of smart ladder snake learning media, as well as to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes after using snake and ladder smart learning media. This type of research was a classroom action research consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subject of this study was the third grade students of State Elementary School in the academic year of 2017/2018. Data collection techniques of this study were observations of teacher, student activities, and tests for student learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that by using smart snake ladder learning media, it is enable to improve teacher activities, student activities, and students’ learning outcomes. Teacher activity cycles are increasing by 20.45%, student activity increases 27.17%, while the student learning outcomes increase 8.91. Conclusion in this study is smart snake ladder learning media is able to improve teacher activity, student activity, and students’ learning outcomes in State Elementary School I Doropayung.

Abstract

This sresearch aims to apply the SETS approach (Sceince, Environment, Technology, and Social) to improve scientific literacy through understanding science concepts, basic science process skills and scientific work on science learning for fifth grade students of SDN 02 Mojorejo Madiun City. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles. each cycle has 4 stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. the subjects in this study are fifth grade students of SDN 02 Mojorejo. The results of the study using the SETS approach (Sceince, Environment, Technology, and Social) in natural science learning showed an increase in scientific literacy, namely the maintenance of the science concept in terms of an increase in the class average value with a cycle value of 76.71 and an increase in 77 in cycle II. 81, there are basic process skills in students in the first cycle 30% and second cycle 60% and the scientific attitude of students in the second cycle that shows high categories, namely very good. Based on the results of the above study it can be concluded that the use of the SETS approach (Sceince, Environment, Technology, and Social) can improve scientific literacy through understanding the science concept, basic process skills and scientific work of students at SDN 02 Mojorejo Madiun in science learning with green plant matter.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to create the  integrated thematic learning design based on local advantage in Demak municipality for  3rd grade  with traditional game theme. The research design with first step: preparing for the experiment consist of :  : (1) literatur study anda FGD with teacher to identify core competences and local advantage, (2) designing the model with scientific approach: (observing, questioning, experimenting, associating, dan communicating), (3) planning for learning implementation, (4) planning for evaluation process by using authentics assesment and (5)Test showed an increase in the quality of the instructional design of learning; (6).  FGD with the expert to discuss early design so that can be get valid design. The result of this research can be get the design of model: integrated thematic learning based on local advantage in Demak municipalitythat can improve the quality of learning of elementary school students

Abstract

This research aims to find the differences and similarities of mood types and describe the interpretation of mood types used in the speeches of Steve Jobs as a businessman and Barack Obama as a politician. The design of the research is descriptive qualitative. The result of this research shows that both of the speeches have three types of mood, they are declarative, interrogative and imperative. From the data results, it can be concluded that there are a difference and two similarities of mood types found in the speeches and the interpretation of mood types used in the speeches. At the conclusion of the research, the researchers suggest for students of college and further researcher to analyze mood types in another sources, such as in form of poem or advertisement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the success of the implementation of Anti-Corruption Education lectures. One indicator of success, namely after participating in Anti-Corruption education students can afford anti-corruption education, among others, to know the dangers of corruption. can understand anti-corruption values. character change. The factors that support the success of anti-corruption education are self-awareness factors, media and learning resources and the selection of appropriate strategies. Factors that hinder the success of anti-corruption education are environmental factors and mistakes in choosing the media and learning strategies.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to increase learning outcome in MTK subjects in class V. This research is a Classroom Action Research, includes: planning, implementation, and reflection, 29 study subjects consisted of 15 males and 14 females, Data collection techniques used a written assessment on the basic competence of multiplying and dividing various forms of fractions, observations in the form of indicators of teacher and student, the results showed that pre cycle of percentage of student learning outcomes that is 38%, in the first cycle increased by a percentage 72%, teacher activity by 75%, and student activity by 70% and then in the second cycle is 100% complete, with the highest 85, the lowest 75, and the average 78,97. Based on these results, it can be concluded that CTL model can improve the learning outcomes of Mtk subject of grade V students at elementary school number 104 / IX Kedemangan

Abstract

This research describes the error concept of light profile in grade V students of SD N Srondol Wetan 02. The error concept made by the students need to be analyzed further in order to get a clear and detailed description of the students' weaknesses in understanding the concept of light and used as a consideration of learning in the business improve the quality of the learning process. Subjects amounted to four students who error concept. Data collection techniques use documentation, tests, observations, and interviews. Analysis of qualitative data through three stages of data reduction, presenting data, and concluding. The results showed: (1) KP-1 students have low sample indicator but KP-2 students actually have good example indicator; 2) errors concepts occur in the concept of light sources, light-permeable objects, light refraction, light of light degradation, and objects utilizing the nature of light; (3) the factors causing error concept of students' are student only learning only the IPA textbook from the school and the notebook from the teacher, the student assumes that all the concepts derived from experience and natural phenomena are true without re-examining the correct theory, reasoning, incomplete and inaccurate reading of textbooks or problems of understanding, as well as the limitations of language in understanding the concept of light.
