Abstract

AbstractThis article presents the implementation of character education in early children setting through BCCT-based learning model. It also discusses character values that can be built and developed by this model. Since this study belongs to a literary research, the data used are from any written texts i.e. journals, books, online resources, and so on.The results show that the intended implementation consists of three main processes, planning, implementation, and evaluation. For the first step, the teacher plans learning by creating daily activity plan (RKH), weekly activity plan (RKM), one-semester plan, and annual plan. In the implementation process, the character values can be inserted in various centers including four principal steps i.e. circles step, pre-game step, at-game step, and post-game step. The teacher then evaluates his/her implementation either at the moment of learning or afterward.Having observed fifteen character values for early children produced by directorate general of early childhood education of national education minister, the value “divine love” should always be appeared in each center. It hopefully can be the basis for children before loving their fellow, so that the other characters spontaneously emerge, either related to themselves or others. On the other hand, from seven centers used, the center “role-play” intensely plays role to help the formation of the fifteen character values. Keywords: character education, early childhood education, BCCT

Abstract

AbstractThere is an understanding that some of sufi orders to find h{aqi>qah through the sufi t{ari>qah no longer need the shari>’ah. Shari>’ah is seen as the outer skin of religion, and h{aqi>qah is the core. Because of getting the core of religion, the skin has no use anymore. This understanding is a rasionable understanding of the sufi mystics of the past that most no longer pay attention to the rules of shari>’ah in its suluk. Most sufis, at that time, preferred a more philosophical sufism which emphasize thinking to achive rather than the worship of god and morality. It can be seen from the popularity of the doctrine of wah{dat al-wuju>d which so dominates the teaching of classical sufism. This phenomenon invites the attention of Ahmad Sirhindi, on of sufi and mursyid of naqshabandi order. He moved to reform of the sufi orders who was then filled with heretical practices and doctrines which dominated wah{dat al-wuju>d. This study aims to discover and develop ideas of Sirhindi to reform the sufi orders. This research is a qualitative form of research library in using the instrument, so that the resulting data are in the form of data analysis, presentation and writing of the main source, namely al-Maktu>bat that’s magnum opus of Sirhindi. This study is descriptive-exploratory study. The data analysis technique used in this study was content analysis. The results of this study revealed that are some basic things are the focus sirhindi in revision, among others: first, the synchronization shari>’ah, t{ari>qah, and h}aqi>qah; second, purification sufi orders of deviant practices; third , rejection of the theory of wah{dat al-wuju>d; fourth, applying the theory wah{dat al-shuhu>d. Keywords: Sufism, Sufi orders, Reform, Sirhindi.

Abstract

The author’s interest in researching on de-radicalization of religion in the literature of islamic boarding school education was driven by the fact that religion de-radicalization are now starting to touch many aspects of society. Religious radicalism is often associated with terrorism, such as suicide bombers under the pretext of jihad (martyrdom), violence in the name of amar maruf-nahy munkar (commanding the good and forbidding the evil), even now starting to organize religious radicalism in the establishment of the state. Ironically, some of the perpetrators of terrorism are graduates of boarding schools. This is due to the fact that there are several texts in the literature of boarding school education that are vulnerable to radical behaviors, such as jihad, commanding the good, or fighting against non-Muslims. It makes boarding schools are negatively affected despite the fact that they are institutions of Islamic education in Indonesia who spread the teachings of Islam which is rahmatan lil Alamin (blessing for the universe), tolerant, and contextual. Therefore, this study wanted to know about de-radicalization of religion in the understanding of texts in the literature of boarding school education, particularly related to the meaning of jihad, commanding the good, and Islam as the blessing for the universe. This research uses library research, which is a pure literature research. This method is used for obtaining data on de-radicalization in the view of boarding schools using descriptive approach. This research is a study on religious teachings in relation to society, nature, character, and the influence of the thoughts and ideas in forming the character of a group.De-radicalization of religion in the literature of boarding schools includes several things. First, boarding schools should not teach jihad with war, but with education. Next, the applications of amar maruf-nahy munkar must be done through certain stages, so that the direction fits the condition of the object of the missionary endeavor. Violence must not be used as long as it is still possible to use subtle ways since violence is only legalized when the situation is extremely urgent. Keywords: De-radicalisation of Religion, Text, Literature, Boarding School

Abstract

AbstrakThe people living in Mlandang, one of the rural areas in Karanganyar,  are muslims. However, they had not developed their religiosity and traditions well until 1980s when a non formal Islamic teaching called Sunday Afternoon Islamic Teaching was founded by Ismadi, an Elementary School teacher. Through this institution, muslims’ religiosity limited to prayers, fasting, charity, and reading Kuran has developed into wider and more intensive scale. Now, there are many muslims capable of reading Kuran and giving speech. Most of them perform regular prayers, pay regular and accidental charity, join local Islamic teaching, and live according to Islam. They also have better mosque, kindergarten, and other facilities. Local traditions, on the contrary, undergo changes in forms and intensity. The traditions close to Islamic teaching such as that related to birth are changed and continued. On the contrary, the ones far from Islamic origins such as those related to farming, marriage, and death are left.            Key words: Dinamika, Majlis ta’lim, Keberagamaan, Tradisi

AbstractProfessional Teacher Education (PTE/ PPG) can be regarded as a program to improve the competence of today’s most important teacher. This program is not solely the learning process of the teachers, but also as a starting point increase teachers’ welfare through the provision of teaching certi" cate and allowances. However, the level of preparedness of teachers to plan the holding of Professional Teacher Education (PTE/ PPG) is still low. The mechanism and all the provisions of the Professional Teacher Education (PTE/ PPG) is not understanded, the teacher could not prepare him to adapt.
