Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif Team Games Tournament (TGT) dan Blended Learning pada siswa SMA Negeri 3 Medan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 3 Medan semester II T.P. 2017/2018 yang terdiri dari 10 kelas paralel. Sampel  penelitian ini adalah kelas X MIA 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen I yang telah diajarkan materi trigonometri dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dan kelas X MIA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen II yang telah diajarkan materi trigonometri dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Blended Learning dimana masing-masing jumlah sampel 32 orang dalam tiap kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen tes yaitu pretest dan posttest yang berbentuk uraian yang telah divalidasi oleh tim ahli. Dari hasil analisis data pretest disimpulkan bahwa kedua sampel mempunyai kemampuan awal yang sama. Nilai rata-rata posttest pada kelas TGT adalah 89 dengan nilai terendah 76 dan nilai tertinggi 84. Nilai rata-rata posttest pada kelas Blended Learning adalah 78,81 dengan nilai terendah 66 dan nilai tertinggi 94. Dari uji hipotesis data posttest pada kedua sampel diperoleh t> t( 7,3238 > 1,66667) artinya bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Blended Learning di kelas X SMA Negeri 3 Medan T.A 2017/2018. Population in this research is all student of class X SMA Negeri 3 Medan semester II T.P. 2017/2018 consisting of 10 parallel classes. The sample of this research is class X MIA 4 as experiment class I that have trigonometry lesson material by using cooperative learning model type TGT and class X MIA 3 as experiment class II which have trigonometric learning material by using cooperative learning model Blended Learning where each amount sample 32 people in the class. This study uses the test instrument that is pretest and posttest that form a description that has been validated by a team of experts. From the results of pretest data analysis concluded that the same sample has the same initial ability. The average posttest value in the TGT class was 89 with the lowest score of 76 and the highest score of 84. The mean posttest grade in the Blended Learning class was 78.81 with the lowest score of 66 and the highest score 94. From the hypothesis test the posttest data on the samples obtained t> t (7,3238> 1,66667) means that the result of learning mathematics of students who are taught by cooperative learning model of Team Games Tournament (TGT) is higher compared with the result of learning mathematics of students learning with Blended Learning model in class X SMA Negeri 3 Medan T.A 2017/2018.Keywords: Mathematics Learning Outcomes, Team Games Tournaments, Blended Learning

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to know how to increase understanding mathematical concepts in the order to determine whether the aplication of cooperative learning model Students Teams Achievment Divisons in class VIII Catholic Secondary School Trisakti II Medan TA 2014/2015. The type of research was a Classroom Action Research. Subjects in this study were 35 students of class VIII-A Catholic Secondary School Trisakti II Medan and the object of this study was an effort to improved students' understanding of mathematical concepts with learning model Students Teams Achievment Divisions. The instruments used in the study was the observation and tests.In granting cycle I obtained that category Students Teams Achievment Divisions  model on function the material. To know the students ability to understand the concept of the given initial test and obtained an average score of 1.96 or students in the low category and only 22,85% to reach understanding the concept of the medium category. After given action on first cycle then given a test of understanding the concept. Of the test results obtained by the average score of students 2.45 or lower category as well as students who have graseped the concept of 19 students (54,28%). Because the percentage of achievment of understanding of the concept has not been reached the administration continue to cycle the action two. After a given action in cycle two of the obtained results of the test by a average score of students 2.95 or in the medium category. From first cycle to second cycle obtained an increase of 10 students a score increased by 0.5. Based on the description above description concluded that increasing students understading of mathematical concepts with cooperative learning model Students Teams Achievment Divisions on the material function in class VIII A Catholic Secondary School Trisakti II Medan TA 2014/2015.  Keywords: Cooperative Learning- Students Teams Achievment Divisions , Learning, Secondary.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe main problem of this study was the lack of ability in problem solving of junior high school (SMP) students about Comparison. To improve this ability, it was used the cooperative learning model of Number Head Together (NHT) type with approaching of problem based learning. The problem formulations would be studied in this study namely: Whether the cooperative learning model of NHT type with approaching of problem based learning influenced the students' skills in problem solving of comparison lesson. For the purposes of this study were to: (1) describe the implementation of cooperative learning model of NHT type with approaching of problem based learning; (2) describe an improvement in problem solving ability of students in comparison taught by using cooperative learning model of NHT type and approaching of problem based learning. Design of this study was two-group pretest-posttest design. The population was all students of class VII SUMBUL. Ability of mathematical problem solving of students was measured by using test of ability of problem solving. But looking for quality of the improvement obtained from two groups was conducted by testing on the index gain. The result of study showed that the ability of mathematical problem solving between students who were taught by using cooperative learning model of NHT type with approaching of problem based learning was higher than students who were taught just by problem based learning. It showed that there was the influence of cooperative learning model of NHT type with approaching of problem based learning to ability of mathematical problem solving. Based on the result of this study, it was suggested that teachers taught the mathematical problem solving by using cooperative learning model of NHT type with approaching of problem based learning.Key Words: Cooperative Learning Model of NHT Type; Approaching of Problem Based Learning; Ability of Problem Solving.

Abstract

Penelitian ini  bertujuan untuk: (1) Untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan LKS berbasis pendekatan Realistik terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa Kelas VIII SMP. (2) Untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang diberi pembelajaran matematika realistik menggunakan Lembar Kerja Siswa yang dikembangkan. Jenis penelitian ini  adalah penelitian pengembangan yang mengacu pada model Thiagarajan, Semmel dan Semmel yaitu model 4-D (define, design, develop dan disseminate). Karena keterbatasan peneliti, penelitian yang dilakukan hingga tahap develop. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-5 pada Uji Coba I dan siswa kelas VII-4 pada Uji Coba II di SMP Negeri 2 Medan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar penilaian RPP dan LKS untuk mengukur kevalidan, tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, angket respon siswa dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria keefektifan dengan: (a) ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran khusus, (b) ketuntasan belajar klasikal terpenuhi, (c) kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran efektif, (d) waktu pembelajaran efektif. Selain itu lebih dari 80% siswa merespon positif LKS yang telah dikembangkan; (2) Kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang diajar berbasis pendekatan realistik menggunakan LKS matematika yang dikembangkan mengalami peningkatan yaitu: nilai rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada uji coba I 2,52 meningkat sebesar 0,85 menjadi 3,37 pada uji coba II dan banyak siswa yang tuntas pada uji coba I 18 orang siswa (60%) meningkat menjadi 26 orang siswa (87%) pada uji coba II.Kata Kunci : Pengembangan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS), Pendekatan Matematika Realistik, Pemecahan Masalah. ABSTRACT This study aims to: (1) describe the effectiveness of learning tools developed through realistic mathematical approaches, (2) to describe the improvement of students' mathematical concepts comprehended by realistic mathematics learning using developed tools. The type of this research is development research which refers to Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel model that is 4-D model (define, design, develop and disseminate). Due to the limitations of researchers, the research is undertaken to the stage of develop. The subjects of this study are the students of class VII-5 on Trial I and VII-4 students in Trial II in SMP Negeri 2 Medan. The research instruments used are RPP and LKS assessment sheets to measure validity, concept comprehension skills test, student response questionnaire andobservationsheet of learning implementation. The results showed that: (1) the learning tools developed had met the criteria of effectiveness by: (a) the achievement of specific learning goals, (b) classical learning completeness was fulfilled, (c) the ability of teachers to manage effective learning, (d) effective learning time. In addition, more than 80% of students responded positively to the worksheets that had been developed; (2) the problem solving ability of students who are taught based on a realistic approach using developed mathematics worksheets has increased, namely: the average value of students' problem solving ability in the trial I 2.52 increased by 0.85 to 3.37 in the second trial and many students who completed the trial I 18 students (60%) increased to 26 students (87%) in trial II. Keywords:       Development of Student Worksheets (LKS), Realistic Mathematics   Approaches, Problem Solving.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write (TTW) dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Medan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Medan semester II  yang terdiri dari 10 kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik sampling acak dan kemudian terpilih kelas VIII-C sebagai Kelas Think Talk Write (TTW) (kelas eksperimen I) dengan 40 siswa dan kelas VIII-E sebagai kelas Think Pair Share (TPS) (kelas eksperimen II) dengan 40 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua buah instrumen yaitu pretest dan posttest dalam bentuk uraian. Instrumen tes tersebut divalidasi oleh tiga orang validator kompeten yang berasal dari dua validator merupakan dosen dan seorang guru matematika dan telah dinyatakan valid. Dari penelitian, data berdistribusi normal dengan uji Liliefors dan data dikatakan homogen dengan uji F. Analisis data menggunakan uji t dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata posttest kelas TTW adalah 80,31 dan rata-rata posttest kelas TPS adalah 76,15. Dari hasil uji hipotesis posttest diperoleh t > t ( 1,9522 > 1,667). Karena t > t maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima.  Hal itu berarti kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write (TTW) lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share  (TPS).Kata Kunci : Komunikasi Matematis, Think Talk Write, Think Pair Share ABSTRACTThis research is a quasi-experimental research which aims to know the comparison of student mathematical communication ability which is taught by the type cooperative learning models Think Talk Write (TTW) and type cooperative learning models Think Pair Share (TPS) in class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Medan. The population in this study is all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Medan  consisting of 10 calsses. Sample in this study were taken by random sampling technique and then was elected class VIII-C as a Think Talk Write (TTW) class (first experiment class) with 40 students and class VIII-E as a  Think Pair Share (TPS) class (second experiment class) with 40 students. This study uses two instruments, namely pretest and posttest in narrative form. The test instrument must be validated by the three competent validator, there is two validators is lecturer and a math teacher and the instruments has been declared valid. From the research, the data distribution were normal distribution with test Liliefors, and the data is homogeneous with test F. Data analisys uses t test at 5 % significance level. The results showed the average of posttest grade of TTW is 80,31 and the average of posttest grade of TPS is 76,15. From the results of posttest hypothesis test obtained t > t ( 1,9522 > 1,667). Because t > t  then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It means student mathematical communication ability which is taught by the type cooperative learning models Think Talk Write (TTW) is better than student mathematical communication ability which is taught by the type cooperative learning models Think Pair Share (TPS) in class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Medan.Keywords : Mathematical Communication, Think Talk Write, Think Pair Share

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to: 1) Repairing the learning process by using the group investigation learning model to improve the problem solving ability. 2) To know the big of the improvement of students' problem solving ability using Group Investigation learning model. 3) To know the process of students’ answer in improving the problem solving ability. Type of this research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 11Medan academic year 2014/2015. The population of this research was all students at SMP Negeri 11 Medan in grade VIII-7. This study consisted of two cycles, the first cycle consists of two meetings and the second cycle consists of two meetings. The results of this study could be seen: (1) The process of implementation problem based learning was running well because the observation of implementation based teacher side is good category and student side is active category. (2) The improvement of problem solving ability of students by the implementation of group investigation learning model belongs to high category with the normalized gain value is 0.83 where the average of problem solving ability of students in cycle I is 48.16 and in cycle II the average is improved become 91.02. (3) The process of students’ answer is improve from the cycle 1 to cycle II. There are 80% of students to meet the minimum completeness criteria after learning activities using group investigation learning model in small study groups.Keywords: Problem Solving Ability, Group InvestigationABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) Untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran dengan menggunaka model pembelajaran group investigasi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. 2) Untuk mengetahui seberapa besar peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran group investigasi. 3) Untuk mengetahui proses jawaban siswa dalam peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Tipe penelitian ini adalah penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 11 Medan tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa di SMP Negeri 11 Medan di kelas VIII-7. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus, siklus pertama terdiri dari dua pertemuan, dan siklus kedua dilakukan sebanyak dua pertemuan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dilikat sebagai berikut: (1) proses penerapan model pembelajaran group investigasi berlangsung dengan baik karena observasi yang dilakukan dari sisi guru dikategorikan baik dan dari sisi siswa diaktegorikan aktif. (2) Peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran group investigasi dikategorikan tinggi dengan normalisasi gain 0.83 dimana rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada siklus 1 48.16 dan siklus II 91.02. (3) Proses jawaban siswa meningkat dari siklus I ke siklus II. Ada lebih dari 80% siswa melewati nilai ketuntasan setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran group investigasi dalam kelompok kecil.Keywords: Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah, Grup Investigasi

Abstract

 ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah memproses dan menghasilkan media pembelajaran berbasis Geogebra yang berkualitas yaitu valid, praktis dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Developmet, Implementation, Evaluation) yang dikembangkan oleh Robert Maribe Branch. Subjek uji coba produk pengembangan ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIA 2 SMAN 3 Medan dengan jumlah peserta didik 33 orang. Prosedur penelitian terdiri dari atas lima tahap yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Tahap analisis yaitu analisis profil pelajar dan deskripsi kendala, analisis kebutuhan, pernyataan masalah dan analisis tugas.Tahap desain yaitu mendesain produk dan perangkat. Tahap pengembangan yaitu mengembangkan produk dan perangkat pembelajaran serta melakukan validasi. Tahap implementasi yaitu menerapkan media pembelajaran. Tahap evaluasi yaitu melakukan tes hasil belajar peserta didik setelah menggunakan media. Data penelitian diperoleh menggunakan angket validasi, angket respon peserta didik dan guru, observasi keterlaksanaan penggunaan media dan aktivitas peserta didik dan tes hasil belajar peserta didik. Produk pengembangan oleh ahli media dikategorikan “valid“ dengan nilai rata-rata 4,06 dan oleh ahli materi dikategorikan “valid” dengan nilai rata-rata 4,02, sedangkan angket respon guru, dikategorikan “valid” dengan nilai rata-rata 4,2 dan angket respon siswa dikategorikan “valid” dengan nilai rata-rata 4,39. Respon guru dikategorikan “sangat kuat” dengan respon rata-rata 90%, sedangkan respon peserta didik terhadap media dikategorikan “sangat kuat” dengan respon rata-rata 89%. Kepraktisan dalam keterlaksanaan penggunaan media dikategorikan “sangat baik” dengan nilai rata-rata 3,38. Aktivitas peserta didik dikategorikan “sangat aktif” dengan nilai rata-rata 3,55. Tes hasil belajar dengan nilai klasikal ketuntasan 100%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis geogebra yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: Penelitian dan pengembangan, model ADDIE, media pembelajaran, geogebra.ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to produce quality Geogebra-based learning media that is valid, practical and effective. This type of research is research and development with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Developmet, Implementation, Evaluation) developed by Robert Maribe Branch. The subjects of this development product trial were students of class XI MIA 2 SMAN 3 Medan with 33 students. The research procedure consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The analysis phase is the analysis of student profiles and description of constraints, needs analysis, problem statements and task analysis. The design stage is designing products and devices. The development phase is developing products and learning tools and validating. The implementation phase is implementing learning media. The evaluation phase is to test student learning outcomes after using the media. The research data were obtained using a validation questionnaire, questionnaire responses of students and teachers, observation of the use of the media and the activities of students and student learning outcomes tests. Product development by media experts is categorized as "valid" with an average value of 4.06 and by material experts categorized as "valid" with an average value of 4.02, while the teacher's questionnaire responses, are categorized as "valid" with an average value of 4, 2 and the student response questionnaire was categorized as "valid" with an average value of 4.39. Teacher responses were categorized as "very strong" with an average response of 90%, while students' responses to the media were categorized as "very strong" with an average response of 89%. Practicality in the use of media is categorized as "very good" with an average value of 3.38. Student activities are categorized as "very active" with an average value of 3.55. Learning achievement test with 100% completeness. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika pada materi persamaan Linear dua variabel di kelas X SMA Negeri 14 Medan setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus yang masing-masing siklus dilaksanakan dalam 3 kali pertemuan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X yang berjumlah 35 orang. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah upaya meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika pada materi persamaan Linear dua variabel.Berdasarkan hasil tes diagnostik diketahui tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa tergolong rendah dimana jumlah siswa yang telah mencapai ketuntasan sebanyak 4 siswa dari 35 siswa atau 11,43%, sedangkan jumlah siswa yang belum mencapai ketuntasan sebanyak 31 siswa dari 35 siswa atau 88,57% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 20,06. Setelah pemberian tindakan pada siklus I, diperoleh sebanyak 24 siswa dari 35 siswa atau 68,57%, telah mencapai ketuntasan kemampuan pemecahan masalah, sedangkan sebanyak 11 siswa dari 35 siswa atau 31,42% belum tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 70,79 dapat dilihat bahwa tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa masih dalam kategori sedang dan kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran adalah 2,85 dengan kategori baik. Selanjutnya, setelah pelaksanaan tindakan pada siklus II,  diperoleh jumlah siswa yang telah mencapai ketuntasan belajar sebanyak 33 siswa atau 94,29%  dari seluruh siswa dan 2 siswa dari 35 siswa atau 5,71% belum tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 84,36 sehingga kemempuan pemecahan masalah siswa sudah dalam kategori baik. Kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran adalah 3,35 dengan kategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan kelas tersebut telah terdapat lebih dari 85% siswa yang telah tuntas memecahkan masalah. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Sehingga pembelajaran dengan menggunakan  model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning ini dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif pembelajaran.Kata kunci : Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika, model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning, Sistem Persamaan Linear dua variabe ABSTRACTThis study aims to find out how to improve the ability of students in solving mathematical problems on the matter of Linear equations of two variables in class X SMA Negeri 14 Medan after applied model of learning Problem Based Learning. This study is a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle is implemented in 3 meetings. Subjects in this study were students of class X which amounted to 35 people. The object of this research is the effort to improve the problem solving ability of mathematics on the material of Linear equation of two variables. .Based on the diagnostic test results known level of problem solving ability of students mathematics classified low where the number of students who have reached mastery as many as 4 students from 35 students or 11.43%, while the number of students who have not reached completeness as many as 31 students from 35 students or 88.57% with grade average grade 20.06. After giving the action in cycle I, obtained as many as 24 students from 35 students or 68,57%, have reached the completeness of problem solving ability, while as many as 11 students from 35 students or 31,42% not yet complete with grade average grade 70,79 it can be seen that the level of problem solving ability of student math is still in the medium category and the ability of teachers to manage learning is 2.85 with good category. Furthermore, after the implementation of the action in cycle II, obtained the number of students who have achieved mastery of learning as much as 33 students or 94.29% of all students and 2 students of 35 students or 5.71% not complete with the average grade grade 84.36 so that the problem solving of students is in good category. The ability of teachers to manage learning is 3.35 with very good category. Thus it can be said that the class has been there more than 85% of students who have completed solve the problem. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in problem solving skills of mathematics students. AbstrakThis article is a report of trialing PISA problems designed in secondary school. This report explores students’ strategies in solving PISA problems which has three criterion, namely content, context and competencies. Hopefully, first, they should be usual with the PISA problems related to description of the situation and the students have to discover and solve the problems with their own strategies. ABSTRAKPenelitianinimerupakanpenelitianeksperimen yang bertujuanuntuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran matematika realistik dan pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada materi sistem persamaan linier tiga variabel kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa.Populasidalampenelitianiniadalahseluruhkelas X SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa yangterdiridari 5 kelas.Pengambilansampeldilakukansecaraacakdenganmetode simple random samplingdanbanyaksampeldalampenelitianiniterdiridari 2 kelas, yaitukelas X-MIA  3 sebagaikelas eksperimen A dengan pendekatan pembelajaran matematika realistik dankelas X-MIA 4 sebagaikelaseksperimen B dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, jumlahsiswapadamasing-masingkelasadalah 36 orang siswa.Instrumen yang digunakandalampenelitianiniadalahtesuraiansebanyak 5 soal tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika yang telahdinyatakan valid.Berdasarkan data tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, nilai rata-rata di kelas eksperimen A sebesar 66,38, sedangkannilai rata-rata di kelaseksperimen B sebesar 57,34. Denganmenggunakanperhitunganujihipotesissatuarah, diperolehsebesar 1,7683 dan sebesar 1,67065 pada tarafnyata= 0,05 sehingga.  Dengan demikian  ditolak dan  diterima, artinya kemampuan pemecahan matematia siswa menggunakan pembelajaran matematika realistik lebih tinggi daripada kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis masalah SMA Negeri I Tanjung Morawa.Kata kunci: kemampuan pemecahan masalah, pembelajaran matematika realistik pembelajaran berbasis masalah ABSTRACTThis study is an experimental research that aims to determine the difference in problem solving skills of students' mathematics using realistic mathematics learning approach and problem-based learning on linear equation system material three class X variables SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa.Populasi in this study is the entire class X SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa consisting of 5 classes. Sampling was done randomly by simple random sampling method and many samples in this research consist of 2 classes, that is class X-MIA 3 as experiment class A with realistic mathematics learning approach and class X-MIA 4 as experiment class B with model of learning based problem, the number of students in each class is 36 students. The instrument used in this research is a test description of 5 test math problem solving abilities that have been declared valid.Based on the math problem solving test data, the average value in experiment class A is 66.38, while the mean value in the experimental class B is 57.34. By using the calculation of one-way hypothesis test, obtainedt count of 1.7683 dant_table of 1.67065 at the real level = 0.05 sehinggat_count> t_tabel. Thus H_0 is rejected and H_a accepted, it means the ability of solving mathematics of students using realistic mathematics learning is higher than the problem solving ability of students using problem-based learning SMA Negeri I Tanjung Morawa.Keywords: problem solving skills, realistic mathematics learning problem-based learning
