Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to: (1) develop student worksheets based open ended approach to improve mathematical problem solving skills and creative thinking of students; (2) determine the effectiveness of student worksheets were developed based on open-ended approach to improve mathematical problem solving and creative thinking of students; and (2) determine students' response to student worksheet that was developed based on open-ended approach. Population in this research is class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Berastagi. This research is the development by using 4-D model of S. Thiagarajan which was limited to the define, design and the development phase without the disseminate phase. Techniques of data collection in this researchby using validation sheet of RPP (Lesson Plan), LKS (Student Worksheet), test and student questionnaire responses. The results showed that: (1) Produced student worksheets based open ended approach that category is valid with a percentage of 78.38%. (2) The effectiveness of student worksheet that was developed based on open-ended inferred based approaches that: (a) the classical completeness of 87,5%, and (b) achievement of specific learning objectives (TPK): complete. 3) The response of students to the student worksheets were developed based on open-ended approach is positive.Keywords : students worksheet, open ended, problem solving, creative thinking

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan modle pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dengan hasil belajar yang diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS pada materi Kubus dan Balok,siswa kelas VIII SMP N 2 Kotapinang T.A 2017/2018.Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VIII SMP N 2 Kotapinang yang terdiri dari 7 kelas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan instrumen berupa tes pilihan berganda yang telah valid dan reliabilitas tinggi yaitu 0,739 untuk soal pretest dan 0,988 untuk soal postest. Dari hasil analisis data  pretest kelas eksperimen I diperoleh L0 = 0,142<  Ltabel = 0,148 dan data pretest kelas eksperimen II diperoleh L0 = 0,134<  Ltabel = 0,148. Maka dapat disimpulkan data pretest kedua kelas adalah berdistribusi normaL.Dari uji homogenitas data postest diperoleh bahwa kedua sampel homogen yaitu dengan Fhitung = 1,028 < Ftabel = 1,76.Setelah dilakukan uji hipotesis dengan uji t maka diperoleh thitung = 1,766 dan ttabel = 1,666. Hal ini berarti thitung > ttabel maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS siswa kelas VIII SMP N 2 Kotapinang.Kata kunci : hasil belajar matematika,model TGT,model TPS ABSTRACTThis research aims to finds the difference of mathematics achievement thought by cooperative type of TGT (Teams Games Tournament) and TPS(Think Pair Share) on cube and beam material. The subject of this research is the entire class VIII of the junior high shoool of the school year 2017/2018. The design used in this research is quasi experiments and the data coollection technique is objective test that have been valid and high reliability that is 0,739 for pretest and 0,988 for postest.From the analysis of pretest data of experiment class 1 obtained L0 = 0,142<  Ltabel = 0,148 and for pretest data of experiment class II obtainedL0 = 0,134<  Ltabel = 0,148. It can be concluded the pretest data of both classes are normally distributed. From the homogenity test of postest data obtained that two homogeneous samples areFhitung = 1,028 < Ftabel = 1,76. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the increase in mathematical problem solving ability of students and student activities on the material fractions with metacognitive approach in class VII MTs Batang Toru. Subjek in this study were students of class VII MTs Batang Toru with many students of 30 people and the object of this study is improve the ability of mathematical problem solving and student activities through the application of metacognitive approach to the material fractions. After administration of the act of learning with metacognitive approach to problem solving ability test results on material obtained fractions in the first cycle of students who understand the problem 90% (very good), students are able to plan troubleshooting 66, 7% (bad), the students were able to solve the problem 63, 3% (bad), and the students were able to examine the returns of 56, 6% (very bad). The results of the study on the second cycle obtained by students who understand the problem 100% (very good), students are able to plan troubleshooting 86, 7% (good), the students were able to solve the problem of 83, 3% (good), and the students were able to re-examine 83, 3% (good) already meets the performance indicators. Conclusion The application of metacognitive approach can improve students' mathematical problem solving at a fraction of material in class VII MTs Batang Toru. Keywords : Classroom Action Research, Mathematical Problem Solving Ability Of Students,   Metacognitive Approach.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student learning outcomes on the subject of the system of linear equationswith two variables cooperative learning Numbered Head Together. Subjects in this study were class VIII-2 MTs Raudhatul Hasanah many as 31 people. The object of this research is the application of the cooperative model Numbered Head Together. The research instrument used by observation and tests. This type of research is a classroom action research. Before giving action, first given a diagnostic test to determine the ability and determination of the initial group of students based on ability level. The data provided in the form of shaped achievment test descipsion given twice at the end of each cycle. In this study the use of worksheets intended as teachingn tool to facilitate teaching and learning in cooperative groups. From the analysis of the data after a given action I (cycle I) obtained 23 out of 31 student (74,19%) reached mastery learning and 8 out of 31 students (25,80%) has not reached mastery learning with an average grade 68,70. In this cycle of learning completeness in classical yet achieved. From the analysis of the data after a given action II (cycle II) obtained 27 out of 31 students (87,10%) reached mastery learning, and 4 out 31 students (12,90%) has not reached mastery learning with an average grade 77, 09. In this cycle of learning completeness classically been reached. This means that an increase in student learning outcomes from cyle I to cycle II. Thus the implementation of cooperative learning model Numbered Head Together can improve student learning outcomes on the subject of the system of linear equations in two variables of class VIII MTs Raudhatul Hasanah.Keywords : Cooperative, Numbered Head Together, Raudhatul Hasanah

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang diajar dengan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBM) dan Model Pembelajaran Quantum Learning pada materi kubus dan balok di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Medan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Sampel yang diambil adalah kelas VIII-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen A yaitu kelas yang diajar dengan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dan kelas VIII-5 sebagai kelas eksperimen B yaitu kelas yang diajar dengan Model  Pembelajaran Quantum Learning. Sebelum memulai pemberian perlakuan, peneliti melihat kesamaan kondisi awal kelas eksperimen A dan kelas eksperimen B berdasarkan nilai rapor siswa. Kemudian prosedur yang pertama dalam penelitian ini adalah memberi tes kemampuan awal kepada kelas yang diteliti, guna untuk melihat kemampua awal siswa. Dari hasil tes awal yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata observasi siswa dalam materi kubus dan balok adalah sebesar 34,75. Setelah dilakukan posttest pada kedua kelas, dan diperoleh hasil berupa rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen A sebesar 65,184 dan rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen B sebesar 58,333. Artinya, kedua kelas sampel penelitian mengalami kondisi yang berbeda terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika setelah mendapat perlakuan. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang diajar menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBM) dengan Model Pembelajaran Quantum Learning pada materi Kubus Dan Balok di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Medan. Kata Kunci : Pemecahan Masalah, Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Model        Pembelajaran Quantum Learning. ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the differences in the mathematical problem solving abilities of students who are taught with the Problem-Based Learning Model (PBM) and the Quantum Learning Model on cubes and blocks in class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Medan. This type of research is a quasi experiment. The sample taken is class VIII-1 as experimental class A, which is the class taught with the Problem Based Learning Model and class VIII-5 as the experimental class B, which is the class taught by the Quantum Learning Model. Before starting the treatment, the researcher saw the similarities in the initial conditions of experimental class A and experimental class B based on student report cards. Then the first procedure in this study is to give an initial ability test to the class under study, in order to see the students' initial abilities. From the results of the initial test obtained, it showed that the average value of student observations in the cube and block material was 34.75. After the posttest was carried out in both classes, the results obtained were the average value of the experimental class A of 65.184 and the average value of the experimental class B of 58.333. That is, the two classes of the research sample experienced different conditions regarding their mathematical problem solving abilities after receiving treatment. Based on hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that there are differences in the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students who are taught using the Problem Based Learning Model (PBM) with the Quantum Learning Model on Cube and Block material in class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Medan. Keywords: Problem Solving, Problem-Based Learning Model, Quantum Learning Model.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang di ajarkan dengan model pembelajaran langsung pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Medan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Medan dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-A dan kelas VIII-B sebanyak 72 siswa. Kelas VIII-A diberi STAD dan kelas VIII-B diberi pembelajaran langsung. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu. Dari analisis data pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai rata-rata pre test 58,18 dan simpangan baku pre test 7,62 sedangkan nilai rata-rata post test 86,70. Pada kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai rata-rata pre test 58,14 dan simpangan baku pre test 8,70 sedangkan nilai rata-rata post test 78,28. Dari analisis data postest dengan menggunakan uji-t pada taraf = 0,05 diperoleh thitung = 2,12 dan  ttabel = 1,668 yang ternyata thitung > ttabel maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang diajar dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran STAD lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran langsung pada materi kubus dan balok. Kata kunci: Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika, STAD, Pembelajara Langsung ABSTRACTThe aim of this research were to know whether the problem solving skills of mathematics students who was taught by using cooperative learning model STAD type is higher than students who was taught by using direct instruction in class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Medan. The population in this research was all of the students in class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Medan and the sampel are the students in class VIII-A and VIII-B  which total 72 students. Class VIII-A was taught by using STAD and class VIII-B was taught by using direct intrustion. This is quasi experiment. The result of this research the mean of pretest of the data in experiment class  was 58,18 and standard devision of pretest 7,62 although the mean of    posttest 86,70. The result of this research the mean of pretetst of the data in control class was 58,14 and standard devision of pretetst 8,70 although the mean of the data posttest 78,28. From the analysis data of posttest  with using t-test with = 0,05, the result thitung = 2,12 and  ttabel = 1,668 and evidently thitung > ttabel so H0 was rejected dan Ha was accepted. So the conclusion is problem solving skills of mathematics students who was taught by using cooperative learning model STAD type is higher than students who was taught by using direct instruction. Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui terdapat hubungan dan seberapa besar hubungan kepercayaan diri (Self Confidence) siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dengan menggunakan model PBL (Problem Based Learning). Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 30 orang. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah data kepercayaan diri dengan angket, dan data kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan tes esai. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dengan menggunakan model PBL di MAN Kisaran yang ditunjukkan dengan   . Hubungan yang ada antara kepercayaan diri siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika ditunjukkan  dengan , artinya semakin tinggi kepercayaan diri siswa maka semakin tinggi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, dan semakin rendah kepercayaan diri siswa maka semakin rendah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Keywords: problem based learning, self confidence, kamampuan pemecahan masalah.  AbstrakThe purpose of this studi was to determine the relationship exists and how much the relationship of  self confidence (Self Confidence) students with a mathematics problem solving ability of students to use the PBL model (Problem Based Learning). Subjects in this study amounted to 30 people. The data collected in this study is a data on the self confidence by questionnaire, and the ability of solving mathematical problems with an tests essay. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between self confidence with mathematics problem solving ability of students using PBL models in MAN Kisaran indicated by . The relationship between self confidence in students with mathematical problem solving ability is indicated by, meaning that the higher the self confidence, the higher the students' mathematical problem solving ability, and the lower the self confidence of the students, the lower the mathematical problem solving abilities.Keywords: problem based learning, self confidence, problem solving mathematics ability

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to: (1) Know the effectiveness of teaching materials developed through Realistic Mathematics Approach (PMR) to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities (2) To understand the improvement of mathematical problems of students who are given realistic mathematics learning using developed materials. The type of research used is development research which refers to Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel model that is 4-D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). Due to the limitations of researchers, research is done to the stage of develop. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII-4 on Test 1 and VIII-6 on Trial 2 SMP Negeri 15 Medan. The research instrument used is the RPP and Teaching Assessment sheets to measure the prevalence, problem-solving test, student response questionnaire and teacher's ability observation sheet to manage the learning. The result of the research shows that: (1) the teaching materials developed have fulfilled the criteria of effectiveness by: (a) learning completeness has classically exceeded the minimum limit of 90% in the 2nd test (b) the achievement of indicator / completeness of learning objectives has been achieved for each indicator in the second trial (c) the ability of the teacher to manage the learning of 3.03 and (d) the learning time does not exceed the usual learning that is the same time achievement as the normal learning on the first and second experiments (2) the students' mathematical problem solving ability the increase with many completed students in the first 25% trial increased by 65% to 90% in the trial 2. (3) the student's response to teaching materials developed through the Realistic Mathematics Approach (PMR) was positive. Overall research results are found in teaching materials that are effective in improving students' mathematical problem solving abilities. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan yang mengacu pada model Thiagarajan, Semmel dan Semmel yaitu model 4-D (define, design, develop,dan disseminate). Karena keterbatasan peneliti, penelitian yang dilakukan hingga tahap develop. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-4 pada Uji Coba 1 dan VIII-6 pada Uji Coba 2 SMP Negeri 15 Medan. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar penilaian RPP dan Bahan Ajar untuk mengukur kevalidan, tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, angket respon siswa dan lembar observasi kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) bahan ajar yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria keefektifan dengan: (a) ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal telah melebihi batas minimal yaitu sebesar 90% pada uji coba ke 2 (b) ketercapaian indikator/ketuntasan tujuan pembelajaran telah tercapai untuk setiap indicator pada uji coba ke 2 (c) kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran sebesar 3,03 dan (d) waktu pembelajaran tidak melebihi pembelajaran biasa yaitu pencapaian waktu sama dengan pembelajaran biasa pada uji coba 1 dan 2 (2) kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan banyk siswa yang tuntas pada pada ujicoba 1 25% meningkat sebesar 65% menjadi 90% pada uji coba 2. (3) respon siswa terhadap bahan ajar yang dikembangkan melalui Pendekatan Matematika Realistik (PMR) adalah positif. Secara keseluruhan hasil penelitian adalah ditemukan bahan ajar yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning lebih baik daripada model pembelajaran Discovery Learning di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest Control Group Design. Variabel penelitian ini terdiri dari variabel bebas yaitu penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan Dicovery Learning, sedangkan variabel terikat yaitu kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan yang terdiri dari 8 kelas, sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-G (kelas eksperimen I) sebanyak 31 orang dan kelas VIII-H (kelas eksperimen II) sebanyak 31 orang. Instrumen penelitian dalam pengumpulan data adalah tes dan lembar observasi. Sebelum pengujian hipotesis terlebih dahulu diuji normalitas data dengan menggunakan uji Liliefors dan homogenitas data menggunakan uji F. Dari pengujian yang dilakukan diperoleh bahwa hasil pretest kedua sampel berdistribusi normal dan homogen, dengan demikian penulis bisa memberikan perlakuan kepada kedua sampel. Dari hasil analisis data pretest-posttes dengan menggunakan uji-t pada taraf α = 0,05 diperoleh thitung > ttabel yaitu 1,955 > 1,677sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning lebih baik daripada model pembelajaran Discovery Learning di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Kata kunci : Kemampuan pemecahan masalah, , model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan Discovery Learning.AbstractThis study aims to determine the problem solving ability of mathematics students using Problem Based Learning model of learning is better than the model of learning Discovery Learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. This research is a quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttest Control Group Design design. The variables of this study consisted of independent variables, namely the use of Problem Based Learning and Dicovery Learning, while the dependent variable is the students' math problem solving abilities. The population in this study is all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan consisting of 8 classes, while the sample in this study were students of class VIII-G (experiment class I) as many as 31 people and class VIII-H (Experiment class II) as many as 31 people. Research instruments in data collection are test and observation sheet. Before testing the hypothesis first tested the normality of data by using Liliefors test and homogeneity of data using F test. From the test it was obtained that the pretest results of both samples distributed normal and homogeneous, thus the authors can provide treatment to both samples. From result of analysis of pretest-posttes data by using t-test at α = 0,05 obtained t count> ttable that is 1,955> 1,677 so that H0 refused and Ha accepted. Then it can be concluded that the problem solving ability of mathematics students using Problem Based Learning model is better than Discovery Learning model in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Keywords: Problem solving abilities, Problem Based Learning and Discovery Learning   model

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to determine the increase in teachers' ability to implement cooperative learning model student team Achievement division through academic supervision in high  schools private school in the city of medan in the academic year 2015/2016 and to k the increased activity of teachers in implementing cooperative learning model student team Achievement division through academic supervision in high  schools private school in the city of medan in the academic year 2015/2016. This study uses school action research approach by using strategies cycle. Research conducted at the target schools which are Advent Air Bersih Private High School, Padamu Negeri private high school,  An-Nizam Private High School, from January to May 2016, in the academic year 2015/2016. The subjects were 61 teachers in target schools Private High School in the city of medan.  This research was conducted through academic supervision by the researchers as a school superintendent. Data collected by the teachers' ability to carry out an assessment rubric STAD cooperative learning and teacher assessment rubric activity. Based on research conducted, it can be concluded that: 1) the ability of teachers to implement STAD cooperative learning model increase through the academic supervision by votes RPP, KBM I, and KBM II in the first cycle in a row 72, 74, and 75 in the category fail to increase in the second cycle in a row 83, 82 and 85 in the category to achieve success.  2) the application of academic supervision shown to increased the activity of teachers in the application of STAD cooperative learning model of the first cycle to the second cycle with eight aspects of the first cycle in the category enough and two aspects in the poor category into all aspects in both categories at the second cycleKeywords: STAD cooperative learning model , Academic Supervision
