Variable work seats include seat height, seat base, length of seat base, width of seat, high backrest, width of backrest, elbow height. The results show that the dimensions of the workstation that corresponds to the body dimensions of the width of the seat base with the width of the hip the height of the backrest with the height of the sitting shoulder and the length of the elbow rest with the length of the forearm Dimensions that are inconsistent with the anthropometry of the body with the height of the chair with the popliteal height the length of the sitting base with popliteal buttock the width of the backrest with shoulder width the height of the elbow rest with the height of the sitting elbow. Conclusion is work chair is not accordance with anthropometry of employees because only 3 dimensions of work chairs are compatible with employee anthropometry. Keywords: anthropometry, chair, dimensions

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) was an important benchmark in industrial activities in order to achieve maximum productivity and avoid losses that harm the company and the workers themselves. The number of work accidents in Indonesia awas still high. Mostly cause by human factors. One effort to prevent accidents that was STOP program with approach to human factor. Commitment of workforce in running STOP program has not reached 100% and STOP card collection still need to be reminded so that need to be improved by knowing factors related to worker behavior in running STOP program. One of them was by ABC analysis. This research type was observational with cross sectional research design with sample number 50 workers. Data collection by observation, give questionnaire, and interview to HSE. Methods of data analysis using spearmen correlation test. Independent variables in this study were reward and punishment. The dependent variable in this study was the behavior of the workers in running the STOP program. The result of statistical test shows that there was a relationship between reward (p = 0.000), and punishment (p = 0.039) with workers behavior in running STOP program. The conclusion of this research was gift reward and punishment can be increase behavior of the workers in running STOP program so reward and punishment can be used as consideration for program intervention. Keywords: ABC analysis, punishment, reward, STOP program

This research is an analytic observational research with cross sectional approach. The variables of this research were work motivation, work period and work productivity. Sample size of this research was 41 respondents taken by simple random sampling and the population were 45 respondents. Data collected by interviewing work period and work motivation interview. The data was analysed by Pearson and Chi – Square test. The result showed that there was correlation between work motivation with productivity (p = 0.000), and there was no relationship between work period with productivity (p = 0.829). The conclusion of this research is there is correlation between work motivation with productivity, where the most of respondents have excellent work motivation and can reach the production target. A technical and administrative control effort should be undertaken to prevent or reduce the impact of workplace accidents. Workplace accidents can be caused by unsafe human behavior and unsafe working environment conditions. This study has a general purpose for analyzing the sulfur conveyor hazard control system in PT Petrokimia Gresik. This research is observational, where as according to the way of data taking and timing of data retrieval is included in cross sectional study. The object of this research is the concession hazard control system of PT Petrokimia Gresik. In this research, I use descriptive analysis technique. The data used in this study is the primary data obtained from observations and interviews and secondary data obtained from corporate documents. The time of this research was conducted on April 20, 2015 until May 20, 2015. The result of the analysis on sulfur conveyor hazard control system in general is good. Lockout and tag out already have the tools and procedures but in its application still less and need to be improved. Emergency stop and emergency pull cord have less than 25% damage thus can be categorized well. To safeguard the fire hazard is properly installed and has good physical condition. For conveyor safety is in accordance with the standard nf en standards 294. For safety signs should be added. Administrative control measures are well implemented. Companies are advised to improve safety control efforts as there are still some need to be upgraded to either category. Keywords: analysis, control, conveyor, hazard

Dehidration can significantly impact the workers of Tahu UD Sumber Kencana Factory due to workplace climate of warm environments. In addition, high metabolism also occurs because of job duties. Workers who inadequate hydrated while working lead to dehydration. This study aims to reveal the relationship of hydration status between workload and water intake. By applying observational research with cross sectional approach, this study obtained 14 workers in tahu (tofu) and cincau production. Workload data was collected by using 10 pulse measurement method by Kilbon (1992), while water intake measurement was conducted with observation sheet of NIOSH (2011). The urine colors chart by Armstrong (1994) and Armstong (1998) was used to indicate the hydration status of workers. The results showed that workload measurement included in mild and moderate category, whereas water intake measurement was mostly indicated workers in low category. Assessing the worker’s hydration status signified varied findings that were included mild, moderate, and severe category. The statistic analysis of Spearman’s rank correlation showed that the workload had low relation to dehydration (r = 0.094) and had high relation between water intake and hydration (r = 0.882). According to results, it can be concluded that dehydration is more likely to occur to workers with low water intake while working. Keywords: dehydration, water intake, workload

Fatigue that caused by working activity is a problem which every workers had already experienced it. Fatigue condition that happened on workers usually occurs differently. Fatigue that caused by working activity had some determinant factors. Container Crane operator was a job that had an important role on container handling process at PT. X. This handling process occurred 24 hours/day, and divided into 3 shift work morning, evening and night shift. Two operator operated a CC for every 8 work hour by turns. The purpose of this research was to describe fatigue that caused by working activity on CC operator at PT. X. This research was a observational descriptive study that describe work fatigue that caused by working activity and determinant factor on container crane operators. Population of this research was all 51 CC operators. Descriptive analytic showed in form of frequency, percentage, and cross tabulation. The result showed that fatigue on CC operators mostly was a low fatigue level (90.2%), and the rest (9.8%) was a medium fatigue level. Workers that experienced medium fatigue level mostly on evening shift (40%) Night shift workers tend to experienced fatigue that caused by working. Lenght of sleep time ≤6.5 hours tend to experienced fatigue caused by working. Keywords: fatigue work, operator, shift work

There are millions of workplace accidents in the world with the loss of hundreds of billions annually. One of the direct causes of accidents due to unsafe action. It stems from the lack of control by the management and the basic causes in the form of individual factors. This study is conducted to look at the factors correlated with unsafe action in the Department of Rolling Mill PT. X Sidoarjo. The research was conducted by observation using cross-sectional design and a quantitative approach. Questionnaires were administered to 70 respondents who were drawn using simple random sampling technique. The variables studied were safety inspection, knowledge, and unsafe action. Data was presented in the form of frequency distributions and cross-tabulations then statistically analyzed using Spearman correlation. The study was conducted using α of 0.05. The results showed that the respondents had a good knowledge, safety inspection in PT. X had been executed well, and had a lower category of unsafe action. There were a correlation between knowledge with unsafe action (p= 0.028; r= -0.262), and a correlation between safety inspection with unsafe action (p= 0.015; r= -0.288). It can be concluded that the higher knowledge and safety inspection, the unsafe action would be lower. Keywords: knowledge, safety inspection, unsafe action
