Abstract

The process of stripping the soybean epidermis on tempe producers still uses the traditional method, namely by trampling the soybeans in the container until peeled. This causes the soybean to be crushed or split into two because the pressure exerted is unstable and unhygienic, need more time and effort. The aim of the study was to design a soybean epidermis peeler machine. The stages of the research were assessment, design, and validation design. The results of the research are machine designs with dimensions of length 505 mm, width 391 mm and height 815 mm with conventional pulley drives with crank manual working system and friction with capacity of 20 Kg/hour. The application of the machine soybean husk remover makes less effort is used and separation process of the skin from the soybean can be done more quickly so that it can increase production capacity.

Abstract

The use of fossil fuels is currently very high, resulting in an increase of CO2 in the atmosphere. The transport sector is currently the largest contributor to the greenhouse effect worldwide. Electric vehicles are the main solution for researchers to develop. This study compares force, torque, and orbital flux of electro-orbital ring-type motors and radial electro-motors. This research uses a simulation method to determine the value of force, torque, and linkage flux in each type of motor using MagNet Software. This research is development research using a simulation approach. The simulation test subjects consisted of computers, MagNet 7.5 software, Solidworks, Calipers, Protractors, and Rulers. There are 3 data collected in this research, and the data are as follows: (1) force, (2) torque, and (3) linkage flux. Data analysis was done by simulating with magnet software and then comparing the test results on the linkage force, torque and flux. The simulation results are then compared to determine the performance of each motor. The result of this research is that the performance of the ring-type orbital electro motor compared to the radial electro motor is better in attractive conditions, but lower in repulsive conditions. In the magnetic attraction condition, the average value ratio of the ring type orbital electro motor compared to the radial electro motor is 1.08:1 force, 1.68:1 torque, and 1:1.03 linkage flux. In the reject condition, the average ratio of ring-type electro motor orbitals compared to radial electro motor is 1:1.3 force, 1:1.06 torque, and 1:1.6 linkage flux.

Abstract

This study presents an analysis of students' condition in online learning in the autotronics technology course of the Department of Automotive Engineering, Universitas Negeri Padang. This research aims to find obstacle to online learning based on technology, human and environmental factors. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were 120 students who took the autotronics technology course at Universitas Negeri Padang, Department of Automotive Engineering, Faculty of Engineering in the 2019/2020 semester. A questionnaire using a Likert scale was used for data collection. Analysis techniques use descriptive analysis techniques and confirmatory factors. The results of confirmatory factor analysis, factors were formed that could explain 76.84% of the variance of the original variables. The human side is the biggest hurdle. 77 of 120 students were less enthusiastic about participating in bold learning, 86 of 120 students struggled to understand the material being bravely taught, and 93 of 120 students had difficulty understanding charts and series in the material, and 87 out of 120 students had difficulty understanding the material. It was difficult to understand the material without doing the lab. The human variable is considered the biggest constraint compared to other variables studied. These constraints are the personality indicators and intelligence indicators.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the Air Induction System on the Toyota Soluna 5A-FE Engine Stand. The research method used an experimental method and was carried out for two months from July 2020 to August 2020 at the Padang State University Workshop. How to check the components of the Toyota Soluna 5A-FE engine stand air induction system is divided into three ways, namely, voltage check, resistance check, and visual inspection. The purpose of examining the air induction system on the Toyota Soluna 5a-fe engine stand is to repair the Toyota Soluna engine stand in the FT UNP automotive workshop so that it can be reused as material for the teaching and learning process in the FT UNP automotive workshop. The Toyota Soluna 5a-fe engine stand in the FT UNP automotive workshop is in a dead engine condition, the wiring system is messy and some parts of the stand are porous. Therefore, the author will examine the air induction system on the Toyota Soluna 5a-fe engine stand. The inspection process for the Toyota Soluna 5a-fe engine stand air induction system consists of: the process of dismantling the components of the air induction system, the process of checking the components of the air induction system, the process of repairing the wiring system, the process of installing components after the inspection process is complete, the testing process is carried out and the Toyota Soluna engine stand can live normally so that it can be reused as teaching material in the FT UNP automotive workshop.

Abstract

4C Skills which are 21st century competencies including critical thinking, creative thinking, collaboration and communication are important skills in vocational school graduates. The purpose of the research is to analyze the internal and external factors relevant to improving 4C skills and owned by SMKN 1 Paringin using SWOT analysis. This research method is qualitative with case study type. The research location is SMKN 1 Paringin, Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan Province. The data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. There were 19 informants ranging from school leaders, heads of expertise programs, and productive teachers to students. Stages of data analysis were carried out starting from data condensation, data display to conclusion drawing verification. The IE Matrix score is calculated based on the rating of sub-factors that are relevant to improving 4C skills. The results showed that the school has the opportunity to grow and develop with the IE Matrix score in quadrant I. The recommended strategy is the development of community projects for students. The proposed strategy is the application of student competencies and the results of scientific writing competitions in the form of control system products through community projects for underprivileged communities, in partnership with the village government. Development of a school bulletin through a student journalism program in partnership with local newspaper journalists as mentors and reviewers. Another strategy is the development of a Production Unit through a teaching factory in the form of services for the surrounding community in partnership with partner industries and school alumni. The final results of all programs must still be evaluated and included in the student soft skills assessment system.

Abstract

The rice field snail can be used as a processed food that can be consumed by humans because it contains protein in its meat. However, consuming rice field snails can produce waste field snail shells which are disturbing because they have an unpleasant odor if left alone. Therefore, the rice field snail shell waste is maximized to be used as poultry feed. To make it easier to make the poultry feed, this study aims to design a penepung machine to smooth the shells of rice field snails. Based on the design results using solidworks 2019 software, the design of the siege machine components consists of a driving motor with a power of 6 HP, a drive pulley with a diameter of 50.8 mm, a driven pulley with a diameter of 152.44 mm, v-bet type A with a length of 44 inches . So after testing, the design results obtained for rice field snail shells which have a capacity of 12 kg/hour with an efficiency of 42%. By using the cost of materials and manufacture of Rp. 4,034,500.
