Abstract

Mathematics learning at SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta used speech method and given questions that impact making students bored when mathematics learning. Used the wrong model to make students are challenging to develop and also to the learning outcome. So, we need the right model. The model is an MMP and cooperative learning type NHT. This research aims to find a significant difference between the use of MMP learning with the use of cooperative learning type NHT, which is better MMP learning than NHT cooperative learning to the student's mathematics learning outcome. This research population was the seventh degree of SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta consisting of ten classes and two classes as the sample with random sampling. The sample is VII B as the experiments A with MMP learning and VII D as the experiment B with cooperative learning type NHT. The research instrument used was a mathematics learning outcome, and analysis used validity, distinguishing capacity, and reliability. The data analysis used was the t-test two parties and one party. Based on the analysis of the first hypothesis test on mathematics learning outcome with a significance level of 5% and 65 degrees of freedom is obtained  so  then there is a significant difference between the use MMP learning with the use cooperative learning type NHT. The second test with a significance level of 5% and 65 degrees of freedom is obtained , so  then MMP learning better than NHT cooperative learning to the student's mathematics learning outcome.

Abstract

Many factors determine student learning outcomes. Self-regulated learning and parent’s attention are some of the factors suspected that relate to student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the presence or absence of a positive relationship between and significant relationship among the self-regulated learning and parent’s attention with learning achievement mathematics students class Vocational High School (SMK) 1 Bantul in the first semester of the academic year 2018/2019. The populations of this study were all students of class XI consisting of 6 classes with 188 students. Samples were taken using a random sampling technique. The data collection techniques used the non-test technique by a questionnaire and test. The test research instruments were: validity tests, different power tests, reliability tests, and independence tests. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results of the study showed that there was a positive and significant correlation between: self-regulated learning and parent’s attention to the mathematics learning outcomes with R2 = 0.6869, coefficient determine 0,4718 and Fcount = 12.0598  Ftable = 3.3541, with RC = , RC  =  and EC = , EC  = .

Abstract

Learning in school is still dominated by the teacher, causing a lack of involvement of the student in participating in learning activities and have difficulty in understanding the material. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of cooperative learning model type TAI and STAD on the results of student's mathematics learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kretek Bantul Academic Year 2015/2016. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kretek Bantul consists of 6 classes. The sampling technique using random sampling techniques, derived class VIII B as the experimental class I (TAI), VIII D as the experimental class II (STAD), and VIII C as the control class. Designs in this study using Posttest-Only Control Design. The data collection technique using the test method. Instrument test using validity test and reliability test. Test requirements analysis includes tests of normality and homogeneity test. Analysis of data to test the hypothesis using analysis of variance and LSD test. Results of analysis of variance with a significance level of 5% and df = (2,79) show that: (1) there is a difference between the results of the students' mathematics learning using learning model type TAI, STAD learning model, with the conventional learning models. This is indicated by the value and  and ,  then  rejected and (2) learning model type TAI and STAD more effective than conventional learning models on the results of students' mathematics learning. This is indicated by the results of LSD in case I  and LSD = 8,84, consequently  so  accepted. In Case II  and LSD = 8,76, consequently  so  rejected. While in case III |  and LSD = 8,76, consequently  so  rejected. It can be concluded .

Abstract

The strategies used in the teaching and learning process are still fixed on speech and discussions, so the result of student learning interest is low. Strategies that can be used to increase student’s interest in learning among them is Giving Question And Getting Answer (GIGA) and Index Card Match (ICM). GIGA is one of the active learning strategies to ask a question and receive a good answer used to involve students in repeating learning materials that have been delivered. ICM is an active learning strategy looking for a pleasant enough partner used to repeating learning materials that have been given before. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of mathematics learning by using strategy Giving Question And Getting Answer compared with Index Card Match strategy on mathematical learning outcomes students class XI IPS SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta in the second semester of the academic year 2016/2017. The design of this research is a posttest only control design. This research population is the student's class XI IPS Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. Sample in this research was taken using simple random sampling obtained class XI IPS 2 as experiment class A and class XI IPS 1 as experiment class B. Data collection is done by a test method. Instrument testing uses validity and reliability. The data analysis technique using a prerequisite analysis test includes the normality test with the Chi-square formula, homogeneity test with Bartlett test, and hypothesis test with t-test. The results of the study are significant a=5%, and df=69 obtained the conclusion that : (1) There are differences in the results of learning mathematics students learning using the strategy of active learning Giving Question and Getting Answer with learning using strategy of active learning type Index Card Match. This is indicated by the results of the first hypothesis test that tcount =2,0318 > ttabel = 1,9949. (2) Learning using strategy of active learning type Giving Question And Getting Answer more effective than learning using the active learning strategy of Index Card Match type. This is shown from the result of the second hypothesis test that tcount=2,0318> ttabel=1,6672.

Abstract

The Learning model applied in SMP Unggulan ‘Aisyiyah Bantul featured still tends to be teacher’s centered and makes students become passive in the process of learning so that student learning outcomes are still low. Jigsaw is one of many kinds of teaching and learning model which provides opportunities to the students to be actively involved in the class activity. The objectives of this research are (1) to know the diversities in the math learning marks of the eighth-grade students which are taught using the conventional learning model in the odd semester of SMP Unggulan ‘Aisyiyah Bantul in the academic year of 2016/2017, (2) to know the effectiveness of the cooperative learning model type Jigsaw towards the conventional learning model to the eighth-grade students in the odd semester of SMP Unggulan ‘Aisyiyah Bantul in the academic year of 2016/2017. This research used the quantitative research method. The population of the research was the eighth-grade students in the odd semester of SMP Unggulan ‘Aisyiyah Bantul in the academic years of 2016/2017. To obtain the sample, this research used the random sampling technique. As the sample, this research managed the VIII B class as the Experiment Class and VIII A as the Controlled Class. A test was applied for the data collecting technique of this research. To calculate the instrument validity and reliability, this research used the product-moment correlation and the Alpha formula. The data analyzing technique of this research are the t-test, the normality test used the Chi-Quadrate formula, and the homogeneity test used the Bartlett test. Based on the research findings at the 5% significance level and a degree of freedom of 39, thus the accumulations are (1) ttable= 1,6835 and tcount = 2,2470. It collected tcount>ttable so H0 is rejected. Henceforward, there are diversities in the math learning marks of the students who were taught using the cooperative learning model type Jigsaw towards those which were taught using the conventional learning model. (2) ttable= 1,6835 and tcount= 2,2470, collected tcount>ttableso H0 is rejected. To put it briefly, the cooperative learning model type Jigsaw is more effective than the conventional learning model towards math learning marks.

Abstract

The teacher uses of the worksheet in a studying process are rare, but actually, the case is students may active through do worksheet during the studying process, which is by the low math test scores of students are the background of the research. The research aims to improve the mathematics student’s outcomes grade VIII Muhammadiyah Junior High School 2 Godean (SMP Muhammadiyah Godean 2) in an odd semester in the academic year 2016/2017 through using of student’s worksheet (LKS).  This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), implemented in the 8th grade in SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Godean in the academic year 2016/2017 on August 16, 2016, through to September 6, 2016. The subject of this research is the students of class VIII C, which consists of 32 students. Action performed in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. At the same time, the object of this research is the use of student’s worksheets. The data will be collected using observation and tests. The analysis data are used descriptive qualitative analysis.  The result of the research showed that using a student’s worksheet on the mathematics studying process could increase the student’s outcomes in every cycle. The first cycle average of the student’s outcomes of the end cycle test was 58,33 with the individual completeness on the first cycle was 25%. Whereas the average of the second student’s outcomes end cycle test was 65,56 with the individual completeness on the second cycle was 34,37%.

Abstract

Students must be active and independent in the learning process and understand the material studied in learning mathematics. The mathematical module is one of the alternative learning resources that can be used in the learning process. The research aims to develop a mathematical module of comparative material with a scientific approach for grade VII students of Junior High School (SMP / MTs) applied correctly in mathematics learning. This development research uses Research and Development (R & D) method. Such research subjects include material experts, media experts, students from 2 schools. Data collection techniques used are interviews and questionnaires. The research instruments are questionnaires, which have been reviewed. Types of data used are qualitative and quantitative data. The result of mathematics-module research and development of proportion material with a scientific approach for class VII SMP students. The results of the material feasibility test included the right criteria, with an average score of 67. The media feasibility test module media included in the right criteria with an average score of 67.67. Simultaneously, the small-class product trial stage's student response questionnaire was included in the right criteria, with an average score of 64,7. The student response questionnaire of the big-class product's trial stage includes perfect criteria, with an average score of 70,2. These results indicate that the mathematics module of comparative material with a scientific approach for grade VII students of SMP/MTs is feasible for the learning process.

Abstract

Student learning is influenced by several factors. Lack of student learning motivation and parental attention are some of the factors that can influence learning outcomes, so the achievement of learning is not optimal. This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and parents' attention with mathematics learning outcomes of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Wonosari odd semester 2014/2015 Academic Year. The population in this study were all students of class VIII odd semester 3 of Wonosari Middle School in the 2014/1015 Academic Year. Consisting of 6 classes with a total of 192 students. While the sample was taken VIIIF class with random sampling techniques to the class. The data collection technique was used a questionnaire method to find out about parents' motivation and attention, and documentation techniques to find out the results of learning mathematics. Data analysis using correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. The results showed there was no positive and significant relationship between (1) learning motivation with mathematics learning outcomes, with = -0.15 and = 2.04 so . Simple correlation coefficient  and linear regression equations . (2) the attention of parents with mathematics learning outcomes, with = -0.71 and = 2.04 so . Simple correlation coefficient = -0.126 and linear regression equations . (3) learning motivation and attention of parents with mathematics learning outcomes, with = 0.000365 and   so . Multiple correlation coefficient  and linear regression equations = 69.02729864+ 0,177029465X1-0.31304263X2. Relative contribution and and effective donations and  with a double determination coefficient = 0.021, this means that the learning outcomes of Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Wonosari in the odd semester of the 2014/2015 Academic Year are influenced by parents' learning motivation and attention (double determination coefficient 2.1%) while 97,927% is influenced by other factors that are not discussed in this study.

Abstract

Teaching materials are seen as fundamental instruments in the learning process and limited teaching materials with Curriculum 2013—modules and package books available, limited, and not easily understood by students. The mathematics module is one of the alternative teaching materials that can facilitate teachers and improve student ability. This development research aims to develop teaching materials in the form of Mathematics Module Set with Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) Based Scientific Approach for Grade VII Students of Junior High School (SMP/MTs) and test the quality (feasibility) of the module. This development research uses Research and Development (R & D) method. Research subjects include material experts, media experts, students of two schools. Data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires. The research instruments are questionnaires that have been reviewed. The data analysis technique is done qualitatively and quantitatively to calculate the learning module's feasibility test result. The results of the material feasibility test are included in either criterion with an average score of 67. The module media feasibility test is included in either criterion with an average score of 67.67. Simultaneously, the result of the questionnaire of student response of small grade product trial stage included good criterion with an average score of 64,7. The results of the material experts with an excellent category with an average score of 79.67, in terms of media experts with a very good category with an average score of 74.33, the results of questionnaires student response test phase of large class products including very good criteria with an average score of 71.5. The results show that the mathematics module of the set matter with the STAD method based on the scientific approach for the students of grade VII SMP / MTs is feasible for the learning process.

Abstract

Many factors cause poor student learning outcomes. The learning environment in school and the independence of learning are some factors that correlate with learning outcomes. This study aims to determine a positive and significant correlation between the learning environment at school and the independence of learning with the results of learning mathematics for eight grade students of State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 11 Yogyakarta year of 2017/2018. This study's population was all of SMP Negeri 11 Yogyakarta's eighth-grade students in the academic year 2017/2018. The number of students was 130 students. The experimental class and the sample class were taken by random sampling technique to each class. It was obtained of VIII C as the experimental class and VIII B as the sample class. The data collecting technique was done by test and questionnaire method. There are several types of instruments used in this research. There are validity tests, different power tests, and reliability tests. Analysis prerequisite tests were normality test, independent test, and linearity test. Data analysis for hypothesis tests were using correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. The first results showed a positive and significant correlation between the learning environment in school with the learning mathematics results by and , so obtained . The second results showed a positive and significant correlation between the independence of learning with the results of learning mathematics by and , so obtained. The third results showed a positive and significant correlation between the learning environment in school and the independence of learning with learning mathematics by and , so obtained. Double correlation coefficient (R) amount 0,8861 and coefficient of determination (R2) amount 0,7852 with the linear regression equation ie . Relative contribution of X1 is equal to 57,1280%, and X2 amount 42,8720% and relative contribution of X1 is equal to 44,8545% and X2 is equal to 33,6613%.
