Abstract

The results of mathematics students learning associated with many factors. Interest in learning, parent’s attention, and numerical skills are a variety of factors that were related to student mathematics learning outcomes. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the relationship between interest in learning, attention parents and numerical skills with mathematics students learning outcomes of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Sapuran Wonosobo district at academic year 2015/2016. The population in this study were all students of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Sapuran comprising five classes with the number of population in this study were 129 students, the sample is class X MIPA 2 totaling 27 students, as well as the technique of sampling with random sampling technique to class. Techniques of data collection was conducted by questionnaire to determine interest in learning and attention from their parents, as well as the test method to determine the ability of numerical and mathematical learning outcomes of students. To test the validity of the instruments used to test the validity, reliability test and different power. After all the data collected do the data analysis techniques including normality test, linearity test, and independent testing. Analysis of data to test the hypothesis by using product-moment correlation and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a positive and significant correlation between interest in learning, parents attention and numerical skills with mathematics learning outcomes at a significant level of 5% with a multiple correlation coefficient  and arithmetic    greater than table F  , relative contribution   %, the relative contribution     and the relative contributions    and the effective contribution   %, the effective contribution    and the effective contribution   .

Abstract

Low numeric ability and student independence learning, as well as among peers interaction are estimated with low mathematics obtained by students. The objective of this research is to know whether or not there is a correlation between numeric ability, independent learning, and peers with the result of mathematic at the 8th-grade students of Muhammadiyah Junior High School 3 Yogyakarta (SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta) in academic year 2016/2017. The population of this research is the 8th grades students of SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. The sample of this research is taken using a random sampling technique to class, and obtained class VIII G as a sample class and VIII C as an experimental class. The data is taken from documentation, questionnaires, and test. The instrument uses validity and reliability. The data analysis uses prerequisite treatment include normality and independent treatment with the form of Chi-Square, linearity test using F-test formula, and hypothesis test using t-test. The result of the research showed that there is a positive and significant correlation between (1) numeric ability with the result of mathematics, with r = 0,6682 and ; (2) independent learning with the result of mathematics, with r = 0,4113 and  ; (3) peers with the result of mathematics, with r = 0,3862 and ; (4) numeric ability and independent learning with the result of mathematics, with r = 0,4815 and  and RC  =  , RC  = and EC  =  , EC  =  ; (5) numeric ability and peers with the result of mathematics, with, r = 0,4520 and  and RC  = 92,9% , RC  = 7,1% and EC  = 41,7% , EC  = 3,2% ; (6) independent learning and peers with the result of mathematics, with r = 0,2304 and  and RC  = 55,2% , RC  = 44,8% and EC  = 12,7% , EC  = 10,3% ; (7) numeric ability, independent learning, and peers with the result of mathematics, with r = 0,4821 and  and RC  = 81,4%, RC  = 16,5% ,RC  = 2,1% and EC  = 39,2% EC  = 7,9% EC  = 1,0 %.

Abstract

The dominant model of learning that teachers lead students more passive in participating in learning activities, especially mathematics. So, that students become less familiar with the material describe teachers. This affects the result of students in mathematics learning. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Reciprocal Teaching-learning model toward the result of mathematics learning outcomes in students class VII. The population in this study is the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Sleman in the academic year 2015/2016 which consists of 5 classes. The sampling technique using a purposive sampling technique and obtained class VII C as an experimental class and class VII B as a control class. The data was collected using documentation and the test method. The data analysis technique used analysis prerequisites of normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. The result showed that (1) there is a different learning outcomes between learning mathematics using learning model Reciprocal Teaching with learning mathematics using learning model Ekspositori. It’s based on two hypothesis test obtained  and  with significance level of 5% and the degrees of freedom, respectivelyand , which meanings , and than is rejected and  accepted. (2) Learning mathematics using learning model Reciprocal Teaching is more effective than learning mathematics using learning model Ekspositori through mathematics learning outcomes on seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Sleman in the academic year of 2015/2016. It is based on the one hypothesis test obtained  dan  with significance level of 5% and the degrees of freedom, respectively and  which means , and than  is rejected and  accepted.

Abstract

The application of conventional learning models in school plus student's mindset that mathematics is difficult, too many questions, too many formulas, making the lack of interest in learning mathematics of students, consequently the learning of mathematics unattractive so that influence on student learning result of the student. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of cooperative learning model type Jigsaw and Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) to the results of learning mathematics. The population in Gamping (SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Gamping) Sleman Regency 2016/2017 academic year is divided into three classes, which amounts to 110 students. Two classes took samples with a random sampling technique. They obtained Class VIIIC as Experiment Class I, Class VIIIB as Experiment Class II, and Class VIIIA as Trial Class. Data analysis techniques used include a prerequisite test using normality test with Chi-Square formula, homogeneity test with F test, and hypothesis test with T-test. The results showed that: (1) There was no difference in mathematics learning results between the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model and Student Team Achievement Division (STAD). This is indicated by the value Tcount = -0.08566 <Ttable = 1.99394 at a significant level of 5% and df = 71. (2) There is nothing better between the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model and the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type. (3) Jigsaw cooperative learning model and Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Student learning motivation is still low, and learning facilities owned by students are still inadequate. This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and learning facilities with mathematics learning results in class X of State Vocational High School (SMK N) 5 Yogyakarta Semester Even 2017/2018 Academic Year. This type of research uses quantitative research. This study's population were students of class X SMK N 5 Yogyakarta Even Semester 2017/2018 Academic Year, consisting of 2 classes totaling 64 students. Class X Ceramic Craft B as the research sample class was taken by random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using the questionnaire method to obtain learning motivation data and learning facilities and test methods to obtain data on mathematics learning outcomes. Research instrument test: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Analysis prerequisite tests include normality test, linearity test, and independence test. Data analysis using product moment analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and learning facilities with mathematics learning results in class X Ceramic Craft B of SMK N 5 Yogyakarta Even Semester 2017/2018 Academic Year. Abstract

Flash-based math ebook development for student of 8th grade in a system of linear equation in two variables material be set in learning of the lack of development of a variety of electronic learning media of mathematics as well as lack of utilization of information and communication technology for learning in SMP Muhammadiyah Banguntapan and SMP Muhammadiyah Boarding School Pleret. This study aims to develop a flash-based math ebook for a student of 8th grade in a system of linear equation in two variables material and know the properness of the ebook. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R & D) by using the ADDIE model  (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subject of this study are two media experts, two math experts, 38 students of 8th grade of SMP Muhammadiyah Banguntapan, 12 students of 8th grade of Al-Qadar Banguntapan tutoring class and 31 students of 8th grade SMP Muhammadiyah Boarding School Pleret. This research used the non-test technique. While the research instrument used was questionnaires assessment for media experts, material experts, and the response of students who had evaluated before, through instrument test, validity test, and form. The technique of data analysis is qualitative and quantitative analysis to describe the ideas and analyzes the assessment result of material experts, media experts, and responses of a student to the book.  Result of the study and development show that math ebook development include in good category based on questionnaire Assesment by material expert with average score 62,00 from a maximum score of ideal 75. Results of questionnaire assessment by media expert include in good category based on questionnaire Assesment by material expert with average score 83,50 from maximum score of ideal 100. Whereas results of questionnaire assessment by student responses on product trials in a small class and large class include in a good category with an average score of 33.62 from a maximum score of ideal 40. The result of the study shows that flash-based math ebook development for the student of 8th grade in the system of linear equation in two variables material proper to used in the learning process.

Abstract

Problem-solving abilities of the students who are still limited to things often appear alone. They lack a sense of responsibility for what became the obligations as a student becomes a problem that became the focus of this research. This research aims to improve the ability of problem-solving and developing character of the responsibility of the student. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) implemented in cycles with cycle one consists of 3 meetings. The subject is an odd semester of Class XI IPA B Islamic Senior High School (MA) Ali Masum school year 2017/2018. The data collection techniques are using observation instruments (observation), interviews, and documentation tests. Analytical techniques descriptive data is done by qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that learning mathematics with the MEAs approach to NHT type cooperative learning could improve problem-solving ability. The results of the study are presented as follows: a) the ability to understand the problem increased from 89.69% to 95.20%, b) the ability to plan the problem solving increased 71.46% to 80.21%, c) the ability to carry out procedures increased 61.46% to 71.04% d) the ability to Recheck the results increased 50.00% to 70.42%. One for the character of responsibility, there is an increase that is from 2.26 (Less Good) in cycle I to 3.37 (Very Good) in cycle II.

Abstract

The dressing of students disciplinary at IX grade of MTs Muhammadiyah 2 Kalibening Banjarnegara in the Academic Year of 2016/2017 and to know the contribution of the student in mathematics learning at grade IX of Islamic Junior High School (MTs) Muhammadiyah 2 Kalibening 2 Banjarnegara in the Academic Year of 2016/2017. The type of this research was qualitative by wing purpose sampling. The subject was collected from IX-A. The data was collected using observation and questionnaire. Content validation was used to analyze the instrument of the research. The research was analyzed by using the descriptive qualitative method. Barect on the result of the research, the researcher concludes that the method is learning on a tribute by improvising the students' learning discipline at IX grade of MTs Muhammadiyah 2 Kalibening Banjarnegara Academic Year of 2016/2017. It was shown by the achievement which students got before and after giving an action. The students' average score was 55, and into 57,67, re-teaching affected the low classroom. The middle classroom had an average score of about 60,33 at first and turned into 62,58 because it was given action. The improvement of student's disciplinary learning was contributed by conventional learning. Next, the full classroom about 70,2 before getting action. After giving an action, it increased by about 72. It can be concluded that the improvement of student's disciplinary learning was contributed by learning methods. The re-teaching learning method is contributive because it showed that the full classroom's improvement affects the bottom classroom.

Abstract

The availability of mathematics teaching materials in some schools, for example in SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta is still short of available, especially the new teaching materials and the providing of convenience for students in learning. This study aims to develop and test the feasibility of the Module on matrix materials with the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach for Grade X Students at SMK (Vocational School). The research of module development on matrix material with Indonesian realistic mathematics education approach for grade X students at SMK follows steps Research and Development (R & D) which include: (1) potential and problem, (2) data collection, (3) product design, (4) product validation, (5) design revision, (6) product trial. Research subjects are material experts, media experts, and grade X students at SMK. The technique for analyzing data uses qualitative descriptive analysis, questionnaire. The results of this research consist of five main titles, and those are (1) understanding of matrix, (2) kinds of matrix, (3) addition and subtraction of matrix, (4) matrix multiplication, (5) Determinant, minor, cofactor, adjoin and inverse matrix. According to the research results, the material expert obtained an average score of 105.3 with perfect criteria, according to the effects of media experts, which scored 77 with complete rules. The student's response to a module is excellent, with an average score of 75 after experiment 1. At the same time, in a product test, it increases to score 76,8 of average with excellent criteria. The results indicate that the Module for the Grade X students at SMK on matrix material is feasible to use in the learning process.

Abstract

The poor student's outcome correlates with some factors. They are parent's attention, Intelligence Quotient (IQ), and student’s interest. This research is aimed at the positive and significant correlation of parent's attention, intelligence quotient, and student’s interest to the mathematic outcome on the seventh-grade student of Muhammadiyah Junior High School (SMP Muhammadiyah) Pleret Bantul in the second semester academic year 2016/2017. This research population is all the seventh-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah Pleret Bantul in the second semester academic year 2016/2017. It consists of six classes. Thirty-two students of VII B students were chosen to be the sample, and it uses random sampling. The data were collected by questionnaire, documentation, and test method. The questionnaire is used to collect a parent's attention and student’s interest data. The test is used to collect the student's outcome. The research instrument test uses a validity test, reliability test, and discrimination test. The prerequisite analysis test consists of normality tests, linearity tests, and independence tests. The data analysis to test the hypotheses use product-moment correlation analysis and double linear regression analysis. The results show a positive and significant correlation of parent's attention, intelligence quotient, and student’s interest in mathematics outcome. The double correlation coefficient (R) is 0,649, and the determination coefficient (R2) is 0,422. Linear regression equation    .
