Abstract

The use of less precise learning model makes students less understand with the material explained by teachers and cause to low learning outcome in mathematics. This study aims to determine which is more effective between cooperative learning model of TAI and NHT on the results of students' mathematics learning. The population in this study were students of grade X techniques vehicles light (TVL) of SMK Muhammadiyah Mlati Sleman in academic year of 2015/2016. Technique sampling using random sample of the class and the grade XA TVL as the class that uses cooperative learning type of TAI, and grade XB TVL as a class using type of cooperative learning of NHT. Data collection technique is to use the test. The research instrument is the mathematics result test in the form of an objective questions. Instruments test include validity, distinguishing capacity and reliability testing. Analysis of the data used is the prerequisite test analysis consists of a normality test and homogeneity test. Then the hypothesis test using t-test two sides and one side. Based on the calculation of  t-test in two sides in this research with a significant level of α = 5% and degrees of freedom df = 48, then obtained which means that there are differences in learning mathematics result between students learning using cooperative learning model type of TAI with students whose learning using cooperative learning model type of NHT. And based on the calculation of t-test in one side with significance level α = 5% and degrees of freedom df = 48, then obtained which means that the learning mathematics using cooperative learning model of TAI type is more effective than using NHT type on the students' mathematics learning outcome in class X TVL of SMK Muhammadiyah Mlati Sleman in the Academic Year of 2015/2016.

Abstract

Many factors influence the low mathematics learning outcome. Teachers' attention, learning habits, and home study facilities may affect students' mathematics learning outcomes. Therefore, this research was conducted in order to determine whether there is a positive and significant relationship between teacher's attention, learning habits, and home study facilities with mathematics learning outcomes in even semester of the eight-grade students at SMP Negeri 7 kebumen academic year of 2016/2017. The population in this research were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 7 kebumen in academic year 2016/2017 consisting of 3 classes with a total of 92 students. Random sampling techniques used to get the class sample and collected VIII H as a sample that consists of 30 students. Data collection techniques were conducted by questionnaires to the teacher's attention, learning habits, and home study facilities. They are a test method for mathematics learning outcomes. Test instruments used validity and reliability. Prerequisite test analysis using normality test, independent, and linearity test. Hypothesis testing data analysis using simple linear regression analysis and multiple regression analysis and correlation. The results showed that there is a positive and significant correlation among teacher’s attention, learning habits and home study facilities with mathematics learning outcomes with Fcount = 11,97 and Ftable = 2,98 so Fcount > Ftable, multiple correlation coefficient (R) is 0,76, and the multiple determination coefficient (R2) is 0,58. While the multiple regression equation is , relatively contribution (X1) = 45,51%, the relative contribution (X2) = 31,19%, the relative contribution (X3) = 23,30% and effective contribution (X1) = 26,40%, the effective contribution (X2) = 18,10%, and the effective contribution (X3) = 13,52%.

Abstract

This study's background was students who were less independent and still had difficulties in solving abstract things. The purpose of this study was to develop a module with the RME approach so that students would get a better understanding of the concept of the material being taught, especially on the two-dimensional figure. To identify the module's feasibility was based on the assessment of material experts, media experts, and student responses to the modules that have been made. The study was conducted using the Research and Development (R & D) method. The steps include (1) potential and problems, (2) data acquisition, (3) product design, (4 design validations, (5) design improvements, (6) product trials, (7) product revisions, (8 ) usage test Subjects of the trial included: (a) product review experts, (b) education practitioners, (c) Class VII junior high school students. Development of modules included: (a) gathering information, (b) module design, (c) validate the material expert, (d) product revision. The next step is the feasibility of the module, which includes: (a) validation by experts, (b) expert revision, (c) product trial, (d) revision I, (e) test try usage, (f) revision II.  Data collection techniques are interviews and questionnaires. Types of data used quantitative and qualitative data. This study uses qualitative descriptive analysis, which is converted into quantitative values based on the Likert scale. The study results indicated that the study successfully developed the mathematics learning module on the two-dimensional figure for the second semester's seventh-grade students with the RME approach. The results of the study by material experts obtained an average score of 201 with an outstanding category. The results of the assessment by media experts obtained an average score of 129 with very good categories. Student response results to the module included in the good category with an average score of 89.3. These results indicated that the mathematics learning module on the two-dimensional figure for the seventh-grade junior high school students was feasible and effective in the learning process.

Abstract

A minimum outcome is related to many factors. The discipline of learning, peers, and parent’s attention are some of the factors that were related to learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the presence or absence of a positive and significant relationship between the disciplines of learning, peers and parents' attention to learnings outcomes math class X Semester SMA Negeri 3 Bantul academic year 2015/2016. The population of this the research second-semester students of class X SMA Negeri 3 Bantul Academic Year 2015/2016 consists of 7 classes. The research sample by random sampling technique then got X 6 as the sample of the research and X 5 as a trial class. The techniques of data collection was conducted by questionnaire and test methods. Test instruments used validity, reliability test and test different power. The prerequisite analysis test including normality test, linearity test, and the independence test. The data are collected the researcher uses product-moment and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results of the data shows that there is a positive and significant correlation between learning discipline, peers and parents attention to the results of learning mathematics, with  6,2987 and  3,03, in order to, obtain . The coefficients multiple correlation (R) of 0,6716 with a linear regression equation  -115,1360 + 0,8845 X1 + 0,8508 X2 + 0,2196 X3. The contribution large relative (X1) = 53.0585%, (X2) = 31.8447%, (X3) = 15.0968% with double the coefficient of determination of   of 0.510 as well as the effective contribution (X1) , (X2) = 14.3627%, (X3) = 6.8090%.

Abstract

Learning media in the learning process of mathematics can help students understand the abstract mathematical concept and make learning more exciting and interactive. However, in reality, at school, the availability of instructional media is still limited. This study aims to develop a suitable learning media based on Macromedia flash eight on the arithmetic social subject for grade VII SMP/MTs in learning mathematics. The research includes research and development using Research and Development (R&D) research methods with the following steps: potential and problem, data collection, product design, design validation, design improvement, product testing, product revision, trial use, product revision, and the final product. The research subjects are media experts, subject experts, and students of grade VII State Junior High School 1 Yogyakarta (SMP N 1 Yogyakarta) and State Junior High School 1 Kalasan (SMP N 1 Kalasan). The data are analyzing techniques using qualitative analysis that converted into a form of quantitative value. The data collecting techniques are using interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The product of learning media that has been developed was assessed and validated by three math experts learning media and three math experts learning subject. The assessment of media experts resulted in an outstanding qualitative category. The assessment of subject experts resulted in an outstanding qualitative category, and the student assessment resulted in an excellent qualitative category. Based on those results, it can be concluded that the learning media that has been developed is appropriate for the use of the mathematics learning process.

Abstract

Many factors influence learning outcomes in students. Motivation to learn and learn about the environment at home was expected to impact students' learning outcomes. The research intends to know whether there are any positive correlation and significance between  Motivation to Learn and Learning Environment at Home with Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Students Class VIII of  SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan Sleman in Even Semester in Academic Year of  2018/2019. The population in this research was the students of VIII grade in Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan Sleman in Even Semester in Academic Year of  2018/2019, consisted of class  VIII A, VIII B, VIII C, VIII D, and VIII E totaling 160 students. Samples were taken by the random sampling technique so that class VIII A was obtained as the research sample class. The writer uses the questionnaire method to collect the data of motivation to learn and the learning environment at home and the documentation technique to get the resulting learning of math. The research instrument: validity test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, a test of linearity, and independence. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results showed no positive and significant relationship between Motivation to Learn and Learning Environment at Home with Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Students Class VIII of  SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan Sleman in Even Semester in Academic Year 2018/2019. Abstract

This research was conducted because students' mathematics learning outcomes were lack, the students had an opinion that mathematic was difficult and unpleasant, less active especially cooperation in learning, students perform other activities beyond teaching and learning strategies that teachers use less varied. This research is intended to find out the effectiveness of using cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) with type Course Review Horay (CRH) Toward The Mathematics Learning Outcome of the VIII Grade Students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Pundong In The First Semester of Academic Year 2016/2017. The population in this research were all the students of grade VIII students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Pundong in academic year 2016/2017 consist of six classes, VIII A, VIII B, VIII C, and VIII D. Samples were taken three classes using purposive sampling techniques, it is obtained class VIII B as an experimental class I, class VIII D as an experimental class II and class VIII C as a control class. The data analysis technique that is used to test the prerequisites including normality test with Chi-Square formula, homogeneity test with Bartlet formula, and test hypotheses including F test and Least Significant Different (LSD). The result of the significant level of 5% and db = (2,56) showed (1) there is a difference in the results of students’ learning mathematics that is taught by cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament, cooperative learning model type Course Review Horay and direct instruction learning model. It is evidenced by the value    and Ftable , as a result , so,  rejected, and (2) cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament and cooperative learning model type Course Review Horay are more effective than direct instruction learning model on students’ mathematics learning outcomes. It is shown with the LSD test with a significant level of 5% and 56 degrees of freedom obtained in the first case because and LSD , as a result  so,  is accepted and means that . In case II  and LSD = , as a result  so  is rejected. Because  and , as a result  means . Meanwhile in case III  and LSD = , as a result  so rejected. Because  and , as a result  means . Abstract

Based on the observation in State Junior High School 9 Yogyakarta (SMP Negeri 9 Yogyakarta) obtained some information that the lack of student learning intensity, self-regulated learning is still low, and the lack of attention from parents in learning activities. This study aims to determine the presence or absence of a positive relationship between and significant relationship among the intensity of learning, self-regulated learning, and parent’s attention with students mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Yogyakarta academic year  2016/2017. The population in this research was the students of  VIII grade in SMP Negeri 9 Yogyakarta in 2016/2017, consisting of class  VIIIA, VIIIB, VIIIC, VIIID, VIIIE, and VIIIF totaling 206 students. Samples were taken from VIIIA as the research sample class and with the random sampling technique. The researcher uses a questionnaire method to collect the data intensity of learning, independence learning, parent’s attention, and test method to get the resulting learning of math. The research instrument: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, a test of linearity, and independence. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between the intensity of learning, independent learning, and parents' attention with mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII of SMP Negeri 9 Yogyakarta academic year of 2016/20167. Abstract

The problem that underlies this research is the low value of learning outcomes of students, especially in class VII D. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of students by using a realistic mathematics education approach to students of class VII D in State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 2 Bambanglipuro even semester 2017 Academic Year / 2018. This study includes Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings. Data collection techniques used are interviews and tests. Data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, conclusion, and verification. The indicator of the success of this study is the achievement of increased learning outcomes of students. Learning outcomes of students are obtained from the work of solving the description questions. This success is shown by students' learning outcomes achieving an average good category (≥ 61%). Based on the study results using a realistic mathematics education approach in the quadrilateral sub-topic, there is an increase in students' learning outcomes. This is evident from the first cycle test results to the second cycle test, which has increased by 1.76%. In the first cycle, the average test results of students were 42.47. In the second cycle, the average test results of students were 43.22. However, there has been an increase in learning outcomes but has not met the indicators of success.

Abstract

The learning activity is still dominated by the teacher that makes students tending to be passive in participating in teaching and learning activity in the classroom. The students’ learning interest is low due to the students assume that mathematics is one of the difficult subjects, and it will affect the results of the students' mathematics learning. This research aims to find out the effectiveness of mathematics learning using the model of TeachingReciprocalof the students’ learning outcomes of 8class SMP Negeri 1 Sawangan Magelang regency Odd Semester Academic Year 2016/2017. The research population is all students of 8 class consisting of 6 classes. Sample is taken by using the sampling random technique of the classes and it is achieved by VIII B class as the experimental and VIII C as the control class. The data collecting technique is done by documentation and test method. The instrument used is the documentation paper of UTS value Odd Semester of 8 class students and the test question of learning outcomes. Data analysis techniques are hypothesis testing and precondition test of analysis including normality test and homogeneity test. The result of research shows (1)There are differences in the mathematics learning outcomes between students using the learning model of Teaching Reciprocal than students using the direct learning model. It is based on the first hypothesis test with a significance level of 5% and 61 freedom degree that it is achieved   = 2,38748 and  = 1,99996 then  rejected and  accepted. (2) The Learning Model of Teaching Reciprocal is more effective than the direct learning model on the results of students' mathematics learning. It is based on the second hypothesis test with a significance level of 5% and 61 freedom degree that it is achieved   = 2,38748 and  = 1,670385 then  rejected and  accepted.
