Abstract

Mosque is an important building for Muslims worldwide for doing religious activities, such as daily prayers, weekly discourses, and annual celebrations. In many places, mosques are considered appropriate buildings for rooftop solar photovoltaics (PV) installation. This study provides a techno-economic analysis of an on-grid PV system in a great mosque. As a case study, Masjid Tablighiyah Garegeh in Bukittinggi is chosen, which is currently under construction with an expected capacity of up to 1,400 people. This study uses HOMER software as a tool to assess optimum configuration for an on-grid PV system. There are four options that is considered in this study: PV-grid, PV-battery-grid, battery-grid, and grid only system . Optimization results showed that both configurations with PV have promising performance; however, an on-grid PV system without battery system is the most optimum configuration. A 40 kWp PV equipped with a 27 kW converter has the least net present cost with USD 6,902, while the cost of energy when implementing the system is only about USD 4.8 cent per kWh. By implementing the system, 57.2 MWh of electricity will be produced from the PV.

Abstract

Ethanol, isopropyl and methanol belong to the same alcohol group. The latter is commonly used as an industrial solvent, not for personal consumption. Many traditional alcoholic drink sellers often mix alcoholic beverages, which are commonly called as “oplosan”, this mixed drink is very dangerous for human if it contains methanol. Based on this problem, it is necessary to make a measuring device for the alcohol content in the liquid to classify the alcohol type. The design of this gas sensor-based alcohol classification system and method consists of a series of hardware and software applications. The block diagram of the alcohol classification system measures the ethanol and methanol substances in each alcoholic drink using the MQ3 gas sensor and WeMos as a data acquisition device and microcontroller. The computer was used to process the acquisition data from the gas sensor being used then calculates the K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) to obtain the prediction results. The K-NN system testing consists of testing the effect of the K value and testing its accuracy. The result of testing the effect of the K value produces 100% optimum accuracy at the values namely K=1, K=3, K=5, K=10 and 55% on K=20.

Abstract

Forecasting the electrical energy load is a very important initial stage in the operation of the electricity system so that the system works reliably, stably, and economically. The load forecasting process is carried out in the range of hours to years. This study focuses on short-term load forecasting (STLF) where in general the effects of weather conditions and human activities are very influential. In this study, we will study further the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, namely the number of vaccines and the level of community mobility on changes in electrical loads. The study of the effect of the vaccine is the new point of this research. In electrical load forecasting, the revised Facebook Prophet method will be used. This revision is intended so that the effects of the pandemic can be included in the model. To test the effectiveness of the proposed model, a case study of the Pennsylvania electrical load data was carried out. In 2021 with the addition of the vaccination variable, the MAPE value is 15.26%. The amount of data used could possibly affect the forecasting process and MAPE results. So, the MAPE value is quite good when compared to other studies.

Abstract

The need for an efficient transmit power is affected by the condition of user and power control methods used. User conditions that categorized in cognitive femtocell networks included in the category as distributed user, so it required a distributed power control (DPC). To be implemented in cognitive radio network (CRN) communication, the system must be feasible. The problem raised in this research regarding the feasibility of implementing the DPC system on the CR network  To meet the feasible requirements, it is necessary to test the system's feasibility through testing the eigenvalues of the link gain matrix obtained and testing the non-negative power vector conditions. In this study, experiments were carried out on 2 schemes of the number of users, namely the scheme of 5 users and 10 users, to determine the power requirements of each user according to the channel distribution. The results obtained for both schemes show that the total eigenvalue of the link gain matrix for all channels is less than 1 and all users meet the non-negative power vector requirements. So it can be concluded that those two schemes are feasible to implement a distributed power control system. Furthermore, as more users use the channel and the closer the distance between users, the more power is consumed due to high interference, necessitating high power compensation in order to maintain the target of signal to interference and noise ratio (SINR).

Abstract

Surabaya is a city with an area of 326.81 km2 and is the center of land transportation in the eastern part of Java Island. The construction of digital infrastructure in the Surabaya area will make it easier for the City Government to make efficient services. Traffic accidents that occurred in Surabaya until 2017 recorded 1,365 incidents. EVAN (Emergency Vehicle Automatic Notification) is a research topic that focuses on the field of transportation, especially in real-time traffic accidents which can be integrated with city information centers and hospitals for primary assistance in accidents. The purpose of this research is to make it easier for the Surabaya city government to provide first aid in the event of an accident. The design of the device on the user side is made using the Arduino, the accelerometer sensor and the gyroscope in the form of the MPU6050 sensor and the u-blox gps module. Crash detection on the system using the k-Nearest neighbors algorithm (KNN). On the operator side, the design is done on a web basis by utilizing the ReactJs framework which is integrated with the Google Maps APIs. The results of the accuracy of the accident detection system reached 97% and the detection of accident locations and the nearest hospital from the location reached 100%. Thus, real-time accident detection can be implemented in Surabaya city to support the smart city.

Abstract

Soft errors from radiations can change the data in electronic devices especially memory cells such as in TCAMs. The soft errors cause bit-flip errors that makes the data are corrupted in the network. This paper presents a novel machine learning for a multiple-bit-flip-tolerant TCAM that address soft errors problem using partial don't-care keys (X-keys). The general methodology is classified into two steps, i.e., statistical training and X-keys matching. First, we train the machine by collecting match probability of a filter by using X-keys that match the same locations as the search key. This method uses statistical training to determine the most efficient of number of don't cares. Moreover, in the statistical training, we also explore the maximum number of don't cares that produce best performance in covering the soft errors. Finally, the X-keys are implemented in the TCAM to correct bit-flip errors. The suitable number of don't cares in X-key is determined from the distribution of match probability of the X-keys so that the best degree of tolerance of the TCAM against soft errors is found. Match probabilities for various filters are shown. Experimental results demonstrate that the soft-error tolerance using statistical data has better soft-error tolerance than other methods. The proposed method is useful for soft-error tolerant TCAMs in routers and firewalls for robust networks.

Abstract

Salah satu pemicu utama kegagalan sistem isolasi transformator adalah peluahan sebagian (partialdischarge, PD) yang diantaranya bisa muncul dalam minyak isolasi. Makalah ini membahas distribusipulsa-pulsa PD dalam minyak silikon di bawah tegangan AC menggunakan pasangan elektroda dengankonfigurasi jarum-plat. Pulsa-pulsa PD dideteksi dengan menggunakan detektor RC dan diukur denganmenggunakan sistem pengukuran PD berbasis komputer. Pulsa-pulsa PD yang terjadi dalam beberapasiklus gelombang tegangan diakumulasikan dan dipresentasikan dalam satu siklus. Pengaruh variasi leveltegangan terhadap parameter-parameter PD dianalisis, demikian pula pengaruh nilai sesaat dari teganganterhadap pola-pola PD. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa baik level tegangan maupun besarnya nilai sesaatdari tegangan AC memegang peranan penting dalam aktifitas PD minyak silikon. Semakin tinggi leveltegangan semakin tinggi aktifitas PD. Pulsa-pulsa PD yang terkonsentrasi pada puncak gelombangtegangan terapan mengindikasikan ketergantungan aktifitas PD terhadap nilai sesaat dari tegangan terapantersebut.Kata Kunci : Peluahan sebagian, minyak silikon dan Tegangan Tinggi AC

Abstract

This paper discusses experimental results on some parameters of palm methyl ester as insulating oil. Destillations are firstly made to obtained the composition of oil that provide the optimal compromise among measured parameters. Breakdown voltage, dissipation factor, dielectric constant, viscosity and oxidation stability were then tested on original, destilled, and destillation residual oils. The results showed that the dissipation factor and viscosity of destilled palm methyl ester comply with the standard spesification for natural ester to be used as insulating oil. Sadly, the breakdown voltage and oxidation stability of oils do not fulfill the standard. However, the lower breakdown voltage of oils seem to be tolerable as their value are still higher then that of mineral oil. Dielectric constant of oils which were higher then that of mineral oil is an advantage when the oils will be used in combination with solid insulation for more uniformly field reason.                                                                                                         Key words : Methyl ester, breakdown voltage, dissipation factor, dielectric constant, viscosity, oxidation stability. AbstrakMakalah ini membahas beberapa parameter metil ester minyak sawit sebagai minyak isolasi. Destilasi dilakukan untuk mendapatkan komposisi minyak yang paling mungkin digunakan sebagai kandidat minyak isolasi. Minyak asli, hasil destilasi dan residu dari destilasi kemudian diuji beberapa parameternya seperti tegangan tembus, faktor disipasi, konstanta dielektrik, viskositas dan stabilitas oksidasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa faktor disipasi dan viskositas metil ester minyak sawit memenuhi standar sebagai minyak isolasi. Sayangnya tegangan tembus dan stabilitas oksidasinya termasuk kurang memadai. Namun demikian, tegangan tembusnya mungkin bisa ditolerir karena nilanya lebih baik dibanding minyak mineral. Konstanta dielektrik minyak yang lebih tinggi dibanding minyak mineral termasuk menguntungkan untuk keseragaman medan yang lebih baik saat penggunaan bersama dengan isolasi padat.Kata Kunci : Metil ester, tegangan tembus, faktor disipasi, konstanta dielektrik, viskositas, stabilitas oksidasi

Abstract

Estimating is a challenging task when the image sequence from a camera are directly processed because there is perspective projection that causes length and area ratio of objects in the image are not preserved. In this paper, it was used image rectification technique and Kalman filter algorithm to overcome the problems encountered in order to obtain accurate vehicle velocity estimation. Rectified images as result of image rectification were processed, then Kalman filter algorithm was executed based on the processing result of the rectified images. The result of the tests showed that geometric distortion on the objects in the image sequence could be corrected well by using image rectification. Kalman filter algorithm was also good enough in estimating vehicle velocity. The error of average velocity estimation was ±3 km/hour.Keywords : Estimation, Vehicle velocity, Image rectification, Kalman filter. AbstrakEstimasi kecepatan akan sulit dilakukan dengan langsung mengolah runtun citra kendaraan yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan kamera. Hal ini dikarenakan panjang maupun luas objek-objek di dalam citra mengalami perubahan akibat adanya proyeksi perspektif.Dalam penelitian ini, distorsi geometrik objek di dalam runtun citra akan diperbaiki dengan melakukan rektifikasi citra. Selanjutnya, algoritma tapis Kalman dijalankan guna mengolah informasi dari rectified images yang merupakan hasil rektifikasi runtun citra sehingga kecepatan kendaraan yang diamati dapat diperkirakan.Distorsi geometrik objek di dalam runtun citra yang diakibatkan oleh proyeksi perspektif pada kamera dapat dikoreksi dengan baik menggunakan rektifikasi citra yang dilakukan dengan menerapkan matriks transformasi proyektif yang dihitung berdasarkan kondisi (panjang maupun besar sudut) sebenarnya dari garis-garis objek di dalam runtun citra.Galat estimasi kecepatan rata-rata kendaraan ialah sebesar ±3 km/jam (saat kendaraan bergerak lurus).Kata Kunci : Estimasi, Kecepatan kenderaan, Rektifikasi citra dan Filter Kalman

Abstract

Compatibility of the clothes become a necessity that can not be avoided by everyone, because accuracy in choosing the color of the clothes will be very supportive of woman's appearance. So far, the research has been done only discuss about skin type or the grouping of clothing only, and compatibility of clothing color is also done manually estimates that are relative. Therefore, this study was designed to make  a priority fashion color for each type of skin color automatically based on skin color flexibility. The system will determine the priority of the right clothing colors for certain skin types based on a combination of several colors clothes. The testing process is done for each color of clothing to see how far each level according to the fashion color of the skin color. From the results, six (6 ) elected fashion color with skin color, and the color matching chart rate on the test results chart system has approached the sample data in the database system.Keywords: Skin color, Compatibility and Cloth AbstrakKeserasian dalam berpakaian menjadi kebutuhan yang tidak bisa dihindari oleh setiap orang, karena ketepatan dalam memilih warna pakaian akan sangat menunjang penampilan seseorang wanita. Sejauh ini penelitian yang telah dilakukan hanya membahas tentang pengelompokan jenis kulit saja ataupun busana saja, dan keserasian warna pakaian juga dilakukan dengan perkiraan manual yang sifatnya relatif. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dirancang untuk membuat prioritas warna busana untuk masing-masing jenis warna kulit dengan memperhitungkan fleksibilitas warna kulit dengan warna busana secara otomatis. Sistem akan menentukan prioritas warna busana yang tepat untuk jenis kulit tertentu berdasarkan kombinasi dari beberapa warna pakaian. Proses pengujian dilakukan terhadap masing-masing warna busana untuk melihat seberapa jauh tingkat kesesuaian masing-masing warna busana tersebut terhadap warna kulit. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan 6 (enam)  warna terpilih keserasiannya dengan warna kulit, dan grafik tingkat kecocokan warna pada pengujian sistem telah mendekati hasil grafik data sampel pada database sistem.Kata Kunci : Warna kulit,  Keserasian dan Busana
