Abstract

TVRI represent of the first television station in Indonesia. In this time TVRI not yet able to serve any event enthused by people. In the effort improving returning competitiveness of TVRI station in industrial television sector, needed business strategy which capable to accommodate and anticipate change of technological growth that happened quickly and the economic globalization. Research was done to give suggestion at the development of division and broadcast. The purpose of this research is to evaluate business strategy which have been done and propose business strategy which can improve company competitiveness. Analysis techniques which used were Internal External matrix, SWOT matrix, matrix of Grand Strategy, and QSPM matrix. Result of research by evaluate internal condition of company and analyzing of factor external which related, business strategy which appropriate for LPP TVRI is product development strategy. Expected, LPP TVRI will increase new events that more innovative and creative so that able to become pre-eminent event program for TV beholder/audience.

Abstract

The research objectives to examine the magnitude of the significant influence between financial ratios and the market based ratio toward the stock price of manufacturing industry sector in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). In accordance IDX data by December 2013, the number of companies, included in the stock of the manufacturing industry sector, is 139 companies. Based on the analysis, it is concluded that the variable return on assets (ROA) and price to book value (PBV) has positive influence on stock prices. It can be interpreted that the higher the return on assets ratio and price to book value, the more positive influence on the increase of the stock price. The variable debt to equity ratio (DER) and price earnings ratio (PER) has negatively influence the stock price on the stock of manufacturing industry sector. This can be interpreted the higher the value of the debt to equity ratio and price earnings ratio, the more negatively influence on the decrease stock price.

Abstract

Spa industry has been growing quite fast in many parts of the world, including Indonesia. The prospect of spa business is still very positive and wide open. There are many varieties of spas offered, such as day spas, hotel-based spas, resort spas and destination spas. Regardless of the type of spa, most spa operators provide massage and nutrition related services. GY Spa, one of the best spa operators in Jakarta offers several spa packages which include body massage, body treatment, body scrub, face massage and aromatheraphy. This research aims to find the correlation between the demographic segmentation and the consumer satisfaction towards the spa packages in GY Spa. Based on the research, it is found that education, occupation and nationality have no correlation toward the consumer satisfaction, while age and gender shown to have correlation. Female and the younger customers are more satisfied with the spa packages offered by GY Spa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the Re-Order point (ROP) between the ongoing policy of the company to the theoretical calculation according to the method of Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) in manufacturing company. The research methodology that is used in this research is the method of quantitative analysis. It is a scientific approach to managerial decision making in which the source data is the primary data obtained directly from resource persons to provide the necessary data. The data is taken from the data the raw materials the company from 2007 to 2012. The results of this study state that the re-order point calculations specific to the year 2012 only, according to the company policy is 34,508 Kg, while according to the calculation method of EOQ is 91 925 Kg. This difference is due to the calculation of safety stock and the use of time while waiting.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of job stress, workload and work environment to employee turnover intention PT XL Axiata Tbk Jakarta. This study used survey research and data collection technique used are observation, interviews, literature studies and questionnaires distributed through 81 employees as respondents. The collected data was analyzed by using simple and multiple regression. From the research, it is known variables X1 (job stress) partially influence on the variable Y (turnover intention). The X2 variable (workload) partially influence variable Y (turnover intention). While the X3 variable (work environment) partially influence variable Y (turnover intention) And unknown variables X1 (job stress), X2 (workload) and X3 (work environment) influences variable Y (turnover intention) simultaneously.

Abstract

PT. Bank Tabungan Negara, Tbk Ciputat branch is a company engaged in banking in Jakarta. As todays business competition, companies are competing to attract the attention of customers to use the services provided by PT. State Savings Bank, Tbk Ciputat branch. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect oforganizational culture and job involvement on organizational commitment and its impact on the performance of employees at PT. State Savings Bank, Tbk Chester branch. The method used in this study is a path analysis. From the results of the data is found, the organizational culture has not been able to provide significant influence on organizational commitment while job involvement has a significant influence on organizationalcommitment. The next finding was found that organizational culture has a significant influence on employee performance. Later, it was found that job involvement has also a significant influence on employee performance. Furthermore, job involvement simultaneously influences organizational commitment. It was also found that organizational culture and job involvement simultaneously effect on the performance of employees at PT. Bank Tabungan Negara, Tbk Ciputat branch.

Abstract

In the advancement of hospitality industry, thus it is important for hotel sales and marketing to understand the customer behavior in order to create effective marketing. Factors that influence customer behavior as individuality consist of personal and interpersonal factors. Personal factors include the needs, wants, motivation, perception, learning, personality, lifestyle, and self-concept. Meanwhile, interpersonal factors come from culture and sub-culture, group references, customers through stages before deciding to purchase. Begin with the awareness about the needs, customers then find information about the product or service that could be used to solve the problems. After having the information, customers select the best product and service before deciding to purchase. After purchasing, the last stage is evaluation of product and service, whether it is satisfying or not.

Abstract

Hospitality industry which is a service industry, inseparable from the role of process performance influence the waiter, where it plays an important role in the operational work which is part of the main elements to be a qualified waiter. Regarding the theories that support for the strengthening of this title is taken several interrelated theories regarding operational performance with the waitress at the Hotel X Bali. Research carried out by using descriptive correlation method by distributing questionnaires to employees and guests who later data processing using likertt scale. From the discussions that there will be value in the correlation (r) of 0.7263, which means there is a positive relationship between operational performance with the waiter, with a strong degree of correlation. Leverage rate coefficient (Determination) amounted to 52.75%, it can be said that the waitress who was influenced by the performance of the operational level of 52.75% and the remaining 47.25% influenced by other factors, such as motivation, working environment, and compensation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate about how Starbucks Corporation uses transfer pricing to minimize the tax bill. In addition, the study also will evaluate how Indonesia’s domestic rules can overcome the case if Starbucks UK case happens in Indonesia. There are three steps conducted in this study. First, using information provided by UK Her Majestys Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and other related articles, find methods used by Starbucks UK to minimize the tax bill. Second, find Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) viewpoint regarding Starbucks Corporation cases. Third, analyze how Indonesia’s transfer pricing rules will work if Starbucks UK’s cases happened in Indonesia. The results showed that there were three inter-company transactions that helped Starbucks UK to minimize the tax bill, such as coffee costs, royalty on intangible property, and interest on inter-company loans. Through a study of OECD’s BEPS action plans, it is recommended to improve the OECD Model Tax Convention including Indonesia’s domestic tax rules in order to produce a fair and transparent judgment on transfer pricing. This study concluded that by using current tax rules, although UK HMRC has been disadvantaged because transfer pricing practices done by most of multinational companies, UK HMRC still cannot prove the transfer pricing practices are not consistent with arm’s length principle. Therefore, current international tax rules need to be improved.
