Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine what contributions are provided by PT Indah Kiat Plup and Paper Tbk Serang Mill on the community and local government through the participation of Public Relation, especially in terms of education. The study is conducted from September 2009 until February 2010. The results showed that the community around the company has a large and direct impact on overall corporate performance. Community economic development in terms of education is a part of a Community Relation program conducted by the firm and has provided benefits to the community. Some suggestions for input to the company, includes optimizing the use of internal media organizations, granting broader authority for Public Relation so that they can better support the performance and needs of the company

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the application of PSAK adopted from IAS 41: Agriculture should be applied to State-Owned Enterprises, especially the plantation SOE. So that the SOE financial information produced becomes more useful for decision-making. Furthermore, this study wants to answer what benefits can be obtained from the implementation of this standard on the plantation-based SOE. The main characteristic of IAS is the use of fair value model for biological assets owned by the agriculture-based entity. The use of this model raises a lot of controversy, primarily, associated with relevant quality and reliability of the information it produces. Research used qualitative method with data collection through literature study, survey, interview, and observation. Survey and interview were divided into two major parts, which were: on the compilers of financial statements and the stakeholders. From this study it can be concluded that the PSAK based on IAS 41 have not to be implemented yet in the near future due to IAS 41 will undergo quite significant revision. Currently, the State-Owned Enterprises could use the PSAK plantation SOE that has been issued.

Abstract

The background of this research was to determine how the impact of the implementation and use of ERP systems on user performance and the factors that affect the successful implementation of the ERP system so that it can have a positive impact for users of the ERP system after the implementation of ERP systems. This study aims to Knowing whether the implementation of ERP systems on firm performance impact on ERP users in the company and Produce conclusions in the form of an evaluation of the implementation of ERP in the company in order to provide a positive impact on user performance. The model used to evaluate the impact of the implementation of the ERP system is Quantity of Work, Quality of Work, Job Knowledge, Creativeness Cooperation, Dependability, Initiative, personal qualities. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method of analytical and evaluative, by analyzing the impact of the implementation of the ERP system to the components of the users performance. The results obtained are implementing ERP systems have a positive impact on user performance components.

Abstract

 LQ45 index is a row of 45 stocks with the largest commercial transactions in BEI. These stocks are also commonly referred to as blue-chip stocks. Stocks at LQ 45 index must meet the criteria and pass a predetermined key. The LQ 45 stocks are continuously being monitored and will be a reviewed for every 6 months (early February and August). Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) is used to estimate the return of a securities, while minimizing the risk to the desired level of returns in stock investing can be done by way of diversification or invest the funds into more than one type of securities (forming portfolios). The purpose of this study was to determine the expected return, and choosing the best stocks to obtain the optimal portfolio composition and profitable to invest. This study uses secondary data, ie data LQ 45, stock prices, the level of available SBI Stock Exchange, BI, and websites. To analyze the data, the writer used method of CAPM and Markowitz Portfolio. The results showed the election of 5 stocks of the most profitable for investors, namely stock UNTR, SMCB, ASII, INDF and BBRI. For companies that issue stocks should interact more with the society and the capital markets to attract more investors.

Abstract

Cooperatives are one ideological concept of Indonesian economy and stated firmly in constitutional of Republik Indonesia. The growth of cooperatives in Indonesia has complex problems so they are pushed by capitalism power from private companies. Whereas, cooperatives were built as economical blocks in mediating Indonesian people to be more welfare economically. Data from Cooperatives Department, there are significant growth of cooperatives from 2006 to 2010: the active cooperatives are 98.944 up to 124.855. Meanwhile, the unactive cooperatives are 42.382 (2006) to 52.627 (2010, in total amount of 177.482 in 2010. The cooperatives growth is interesting to be research in the future to identify wealth of cooperatives and which area has the most rapid growing of cooperatives.

Abstract

PT Nakami Kinema Cemerlang is one of Indonesia`s telecommunication infrastructure contractor company. The company business’ process is into BTS (Base Transceiver Station) infrastructures projects, which engaged in the construction and erection of telecommunication towers, BTS CME works and SITAC projects. Currently, the company is faced with the issues in negligence according to account receivable recording and billing processes. these are because the performance on the current system is not maximized in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. Therefore, the writer will conduct an analysis on the existing system and to design a proposed new system. The new Accounting Information Systems on Sales, Receivables, and Cash receipts will cover the process of recording documents on the project contracts, project sales orders, demand for material requirements, the status updates of project development, billing progress for the completed project phases right up to the receipt payments. By the data processing, information will be presented in the form of reports to managers in need of management purposes and board of directors to support decision making.

Abstract

Mergers, acquisitions and consolidation is a business strategy that is commonly used in the business world to be able to build competitive advantage company, which in time can enhance shareholder value while maximizing the prosperity of the company owners or shareholders. To achieve the above objective normative, policy-makers need a plan and steps of strategic and accurate information to avoid the risk of failure. However, the strategy of merger, acquisition and consolidation of certain potentially inhibit fair competition conditions, thus becoming one of the objects that need to be regulated in Law no. 5 Year 1999 concerning Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices and Unfair Business Competition. Market impact of mergers, acquisitions and consolidation is important for analysis because it can have significant legal consequences for businesses, so that the research method used is the juridical normative and empirical approaches. In practice of mergers, acquisitions and consolidation intersect with regulation in other sectors, especially banking and capital markets. That is, there should be equality of perception and interpretation among the institutions that issued the policy.

Abstract

In strategic development a university will shift from teaching university to research university. It is because academic outcomes will be more useful if they can be commercialized by industries, which help improve the ranking of a university. The development of capital market and management measures of Indonesia Stock Exchange during the last 8 years aiming at academicians in order to identify and be interested in investing in the stock market needs to be observed. That is by providing a simulation so that more students can improve the competition at their graduation. The involvement of industry selection strategy and portfolio management will be required so that the expertise and ability to manage investments in the capital market can be better. So, it necessarily requires a development of simulation application of stock trading with business rotation and linear programming.

Abstract

This paper is intended to illustrate the fact that the case today, especially in Indonesias commitment to convergency of IFRS, where the decision was certainly not out of global importance that in order to improve the information from the financial statements of companies in Indonesia. In addition, the IFRS Convergence is one of the Indonesian government agreements as a member of the G20 forum, the results of the meeting of G20 leaders in Washington DC forum, 15 November 2008. On the other hand, the tax rules that apply are still using the old accounting standards and do not follow the development of increasingly different. Previous differences between GAAP and tax rules are limited to the "deductible and non-deductible" which is resolved through fiscal reconciliation mechanism with positive correction and correction negatipnya. The widening gap today would be a separate issue for IAI as the organization of the accounting profession. Tax Accountant compartment formation in March 2014 is a serious evidence of the organization as an anticipation, particularly in an effort to bridge the gap widening

Abstract

The use of Web 2.0 and Social Network Sites (SNS) has become an amazing phenomenon. In fact, one of the fastest-growing arenas of the World Wide Web is the space of so-called social networking sites. Face book, Tweeter, MySpace and other Social Network Sites have huge population of users. Almost seven hundred million people use Facebook, and hundreds of million others use other social networking sites. More and more advertisers switch their marketing budget to these SNS. This study contributes to our understanding of the Web 2.0 and the use of social networking websites by examining available literature. It seeks to understand what Web 2.0 and SNS mean, the trends, its functions and how they can be leveraged for marketing purposes.
