Abstract

This study discusses the comparison of the effectiveness of Team games tournament cooperative learning model and learning cycle model on students’ achievement. Both of these methods emphasize a situation where students work in small groups and help each other to learn the course material. Students become the center of the learning activity (student-centered). This study uses quasi-experiment method, with subjects consisting of two classes, i.e. class X TAV 3 and X TAV 4. The results show that there is a difference in average academic achievement between learning cycle model (0,58) and team games tournament (0,73). tobt = 3,69, thus tobt = 3,69 ttable(0.95)(58) = 1,676. It is concluded that a learning activity with TGT cooperative learning model is better than a learning activity with learning cycle model in improving students’ achievement.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengkaji profil industri kreatif bidang fesyen dalam upaya mengembangkan kurikulum SMK program keahlian Tata Busana yang relevan dengan kebutuhan dunia industri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu extrapolation and the econometric approach. Relevansi kurikulum yang dikaji dilihat dari dimensi kualitas, kuantitas, lokasi, dan waktu. Hasil kajian memperlihatkan bahwa industri kreatif bidang fesyen dari aspek kualitas memerlukan kompetensi lulusan yang memiliki aspek hardskill dan softskill yang berbasis pada kreativitas. Dimensi kuantitas dan lokasi menunjukkan bahwa lulusan SMK Tata Busana memiliki peluang yang cukup besar untuk bekerja di industri kreatif bidang fesyen khususnya yang berada di Kota Bandung (dimensi lokasi). Terakhir, dari dimensi waktu industri kreatif bidang fesyen perlu menjadi program keahlian yang dikembangkan secara serius di masa kini dan masa depan.

Abstract

Learning achievement is a main indicator to measure achievement in implementing curricula. It needs forms of motivation given by lecturers as an effort to foster students’ learning achievement in Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.  The question is what kind of learning motivation that should be used and how about achieving that. To explore that, the research was done in three faculties namely FPTK, FPOK, and FIP with the lecturers as research subject. Design and research method was done with descriptive method. The conclusion of this research shows   that several forms of motivation given by lecture can enhance students’ learning achievement.

Abstract

Creative industry is one of sectors that most resistant to the economic crisis. The creative industry is a group of industries that relies on individual creativity, skill and talent that has ability to improve living standards and provide employment through creating ideas and exploiting copyright. To optimize their performance they need guidance and counseling which are appropriate to their characteristics and needs. The aim of this study is develop a model of guidance and counseling which is specific and relevant to the needs of workers in the creative industries. The study used research and development method. Additionally, the study used interviews and observations as the research instrument. The location of study was the district of creative industries in Bandung. The research subjects were 3 creative industries. The results of the study show that counseling system toward the employees has not been implemented comprehensively and sustainably. The guidance and counseling were implemented only on certain aspects related to the quantity and quality of the products. The guidance was implemented only by such industries and has not involved other parties. The conclusion of the study concludes that the creative industries need a model of guidance and counseling which would help them to develop their activities and products must be in accordance with national standard in order to be more competitive.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, berpengaruh juga terhadap kemaj uan i novasi media pembel aj aran. Makal ah i ni mengekspl orasi hasi l perencanaan, pembuatan dan implementasi modul virtual pembelajaran dasar teknik digital. Tujuannya adalah untuk menguji validitas produk sehingga memenuhi kelayakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Abstract

Between development aim a curriculum relevance enhanced, that is existence the relevance between matter that developed with the user need. This watchfulness aim was to produce subject matter development plan of vocational practice at JPTM FPTK UPI that can increase relevance with vocational practice teachercompetence need at SMK in mechanical engineering field. Watchfulness uses method descriptive. Data is gathered to pass documentation study and observation. Data source shaped from SMK curriculum document in mechanical engineering field and curriculum of JPTM FPTK UPI on Design and Production skill area group. Watchfulness result shows; (1) found 19 practice competence kinds productive at SMK in mechanical engineering. Competences can be grouped in 4 groups, that is drawing, practice base, machinery conventional manual, and machinery conventional CNC. (2) Produced development and pattern plan of vocational practice subject matter that is composed based on sequence matter contents. Mapping of vocational practice subject matter that designed: picture competence presents in semester 1,2 and 5, practice competences base present in semester 2,4 and 5, competences machinery conventional manual present in semester 3 and 4, competences machinery conventional CNC present in semester 6 and 7.

Abstract

Food bar is food with a bar-like shape which contains adequate energy and nutrition. This study aims to determine the right proportion between red rice flour and yellow pumpkin flour as well as to analyze the influence of said proportion towards organoleptic properties of the food bar. The proportions between red rice flour and yellow pumpkin flour used in this study are 40% and 60%, 50% and 50%, and 60% and 40%. With those varying proportions, the food bars are organoleptically tested based on their color, smell, taste, blendability and favorite level. The study shows that the proportion of red rice flour and yellow pumpkin flour has an impact on the organoleptic properties of the food bar such as the taste, blendability, and favorite level. However, the proportion has no effect on the color and smell of the food bar. The best food bar product contains the proportion of 50% red rice flour and 50% yellow pumpkin flour. Nutrions found per 100g are 144.2 kcal energy, 26g carbohydrate, 15.38mg calcium, 4.56g fat, 2.18g protein, 34.32mg phosphor, 83.04 RE vitamin A, 0.04mg vitamin B1, 13.26mg vitamin C.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bentuk penilaian formatif dan hasil belajar mata pelajaran adaptif, terhadap hasil belajar praktik Kewirausahaan siswa SMK Negeri di Kota Kupang NTT, tahun ajaran 2011/2012. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen desain ANAVA treatment by level 2x2. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa: (1). Terdapat perbedaan hasil belaj ar praktik Kewirausahaan, antara siswa yang diberikan penilaian formatif dalam bentuk obyektif dengan bentuk esai, (2). Terdapat pengaruh interaksi bentuk penilaian formatif dan hasil belaj ar mata pelajaran adaptif terhadap hasil belajar praktik Kewirausahaan, (3). Hasil belajar praktik Kewirausahaan siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar mata pelajaran adaptif tinggi dan diberikan penilaian formatif bentuk obyektif tidak lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan yang diberikan bentuk esai, dan (4). Hasil belajar praktik Kewirausahaan siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar mata pelajaran adaptif tinggi dan diberikan penilaian formatif bentuk obyektif lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan yang diberikan bentuk esai. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas hasil belajar praktik Kewirausahaan diharapkan para guru dapat melakukan penilaian formatif bervariasi.

Abstract

The title of the research is “The Model of Entrepreneurship Training for Automotive Vocational Skills”.The approach of this research is research and development, in which the main approach is qualitative that is complemented with the quantitative approach in order to obtain the preliminary exploration data. The instruments of research are questionnaire, interview, observation and test. The findings of research indicate as in the follow:The causes of the juvenile dropped out of school are the factors of the: (a) juvenile psychological, (b) economic of family, and (c) environment where they live. The development of conceptual model to solve the problems of juvenile dropped out of school can be designed by using the approach of  needs assessment analysis for training. The activities are required in the development of conceptual model are: (a) recruitment of trainee candidates, (b) determination the hypothesis of competency, (c) scheduling, (d) facilities and area/(building for training), and (d) implementation and program evaluation.The empirical model was developed based on the conceptual model through the validation, analysis, and shared agreement among the researcher, community learning centre (PKBM), university, entrepreneurs and training specialists.The finding of try-out and implementation of empirical model of entrepreneurship training for automotive vocational skills indicated the availability aim and objective achievement; and that’s why it can be stated that the empirical model is effective.

Abstract

This paper shows the study result of performance assessment instrument development for the learning of fish-rearing technique. The study was intended to develop the new performance assessment instrument and to determine teachers’ and students’ responses toward its using. The study adapted development research procedures by selecting 27 students as the sample. Before the instrument was applied, it was tested by some experts. The result of feasibility test showed that the performance assessment instrument was categorized very good, thus revision was not required. After that, the instrument was experimented to several students. The findings showed that according to the teachers, the media attainment level was classified very good; however, the students argued that the instrument was good. Therefore, it was concluded that the performance assessment instrument was able to improve students’ interest toward practical work, to motivate students in learning, and to help them in scoring. The researchers hope that the study can contribute to the quality improvement of performance assessment instrument in the learning process at vocational secondary school.
