Abstract

Abstract. This study investigated students’ responses toward indirect feedback in asynchronous online media. The study aimed to provide evidence that the students gained more interest and confidence after getting indirect feedback from teacher and writing by using technology. The study used qualitative approach. The study involved 20 students whereas students have to write a paragraph. The data were collected by using three types of instruments including writing test, assessment format, and questionnaire. The study resulted in the following findings; students in this study were successful in correcting their errors and improving their writings after the teacher gave indirect feedbacks for their paragraph. However, the students’ writing requires improvement since the same problems and even the new problems were still found in students’ after getting indirect feedback. Students need to enrich their vocabulary to describe their thought. Students rarely use the punctuation in their sentences. Keywords: writing, indirect feedback, asynchronous online.

Abstract

learning outcomes in hydrocarbon material. The research subjects were 40 tenth grade students from  X 2 and X 4 class of SMA KORPRI Banjarmasin. This study used a quasi-experimental design by implementing nonequivalent control group design. Experimental class was taught by using UNO card game media, while control class used direct instruction without applying media. The data were collected using multiple-choice test and statistically analyzed using the t- test. The results showed that there were differences in the learning outcomes of the experimental and control group students. Students who are taught using the UNO card game media obtain better learning outcomes than students who are taught by direct learning. Keywords: UNO card media, learning outcome, hydrocarbon. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media permainan kartu UNO terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi hidrokarbon. Subjek penelitian adalah 40 orang siswa kelas X 2 dan X 4 SMA KORPRI Banjarmasin . Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi eksperimen berupa nonequivalent control group design. Kelas eksperimen diajarkan menggunakan permainan kartu media UNO, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan pengajaran langsung tanpa menggunakabn media.  Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes pilihan ganda dan dianalisis statistik menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan media permainan kartu UNO memperoleh hasil belajar yang lebih baik dibanding siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran langsung. Kata kunci: media permainan kartu UNO, hasil belajar, hidrokarbon

Abstract

Abstract.  This study aimed at determining students’ achievement on science process skills  after being taught using guided discovery instruction based on Student Worksheets (LKPD) and also at finding out the influence of the instruction used in this study to the students’ science process skills. This research is a pre-experimental study with a research design that is one shut case study. The population of this study were 123 people who were spread into 4 classes. The sample in this study were 30 people who obtained based on purposive sampling technique. Based on descriptive analysis, it is obtained an average score of student mastery of 83.30 which is greather than minimum score of student’s mastery (KKM) of 75. The hypothesis testing is done using binomial test. Therefore, based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of guided discovery instruction based on student worksheets (LKPD) can affect science process skills.  Keywords: science process skills, guided discovery, student worksheets Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar keterampilan proses sains peserta didik setelah diajar dengan menggunakan pembelajaran discovery terbimbing berbasis Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) dan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh keterampilan proses sains peserta didik setelah diajar dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran discovery terbimbing berbasis lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra-eksperimen dengan  desain penelitian  one shut case study. Populasi penelitian ini sebanyak 123 orang yang tersebar ke dalam 4 kelas. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 30 orang yang diperoleh berdasarkan teknik pengambilan purposive sampling. Berdasarkan analisis deskriptif diperoleh nilai rata-rata 83,30 yang mana lebih besar dari pada nilai kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) yakni 75. Adapun pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji binomial. Berdasarkan pengujian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran discovery terbimbing berbasis lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) dapat berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan proses sains.  Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains, penemuan terbimbing, Lembar kerja peserta didik

Abstract

Abstract. self efficacy is someone's instruction to complete a given task accompanied by motivation and how to help him/her to achieve the goal. This study aims to find out how self-efficacy and student learning outcomes in solving math problems in the form of stories and analyze their relationships. This type of research is descriptive. The population in this study were all 273 of eighth grade students, while the sample in this study was a total sample of 245 students. Data collection techniques using tests and questionnaires. The data were analyzed by percentage technique and quantitatively descripted. The results showed that the average student learning outcomes in the category were less and the level of self efficacy of students was in the moderate classification. The results of the study also showed a positive and significant relationship between self efficacy and student learning outcomes in completing math story problems. Keywords; learning, learning outcome, self efficacy, math story problem  Abstrak. self efficacy merupakan keyakinan seseorang untuk menyelesaikan tugas  yang diberikan diiringi motivasi dan cara berpikir untuk mencapai suatu tujuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana self efficacy dan hasil belajar siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika berbentuk cerita, serta menganalisis hubungannya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 273 siswa, sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sampel total  dengan akumulasi siswa sebanyak 245 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes dan angket. Data dianalisis menggunakan Teknik persentase dan dideskripsikan sevara kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa berada dalam klasifikasi kurang dan tingkat self efficacy siswa berada dalam klasifikasi sedang. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara self efficacy dan hasil belajar siswa dalam menyelesaikn soal matematika berbentuk cerita.  Kata Kunci : belajar, hasil belajar, self efficacy, soal cerita matematika

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the improvement of student’s problem solving skill after applying the problem based learning model and determine it’s effectiveness. This is a quantitative research with one group pretest-posttest design. Cluster random sampling was used, and 28 samples were obtained from one of high schools in Samarinda. The result of the analysis with Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The result showed that there’s a significant difference between students’ problem solving skill before and after the treatment, with the ­p-value 0,00 with significance 0,05. Generally, students’ problem solving skill increased from 8.5 to 29.5, with N-Gain of 0,2, which is classified as a low category. The highest gain was found in the ability of understanding the problem, with the ­N-Gain of 0,4, which is classified as a middle category. Meanwhile the indicator of students’ skill on planning problems, solving problems, and doing the re-check, were classified as low increasing category with N-Gain of 0,2. Based on calculation of effect size (d), which is 1,96 that is classified as a big category, the implementation of the treatment had a high effectiveness.   Keywords : Problem Based Learning, Problem Solving Skill, Simple Harmonic MotionAbstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa setelah diterapkan model problem based learning dan mengetahui tingkat efektifitas dari penerapan model tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling, dengan sampel sebanyak 28 siswa dari salah satu sekolah SMA di Samarinda. Data dianalisis menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa saat pretest dan posttest dengan perolehan p-value 0,00 dan signifikansi 0,05. Rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa mengalami kenaikan dari 8,5 menjadi 29,5 dengan N-Gain 0,2 yang termasuk dalam kategori rendah. Peningkatan tertinggi diperoleh indikator memahami masalah dengan N-Gain 0,4 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang, sedangkan indikator kemampuan siswa merencanakan masalah, menyelesaikan masalah dan melakukan pengecekkan kembali termasuk dalam kategori rendah dengan N-Gain 0,2. Tingkat efektivitas yang diperoleh termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dengan nilai effect size (d) 1,96 yang termasuk dalam kategori besar.Kata Kunci : Problem Based Learning, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah, Gerak Harmonik Sederhana

Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to see the effectiveness of using Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) toward problem solving ability of students. This research was conducted due to lack of information of students’ ability in solving the problem, especially students of Science Education Department (IPA) when they were given an innovative learning such POGIL. Problem solving ability is an ability that can be trained in learning process which is closely related to master the concept by students. Mix method is used in this research. The subject of this research is students of Science Education Department FKIP ULM batch 2015. To collect the data, it used quantitative data of pre-test and post-test of the ability of problem solving and qualitative data, observation and interview. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan kemampuan yang didapat dilatihkan dalam suatu proses pembelajaran yang erat kaitannya dengan penguasaan konsep mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian mix method. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan IPA FKIP ULM angkatan 2015. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan data kuantitatif pretest dan posttest kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan data kualitatif dengan lembar observasi dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Abstract

Abstract. The ability to think creatively is one of the 21st century skills that students must possess. This ability can be improved by using a learning model that exposes students to problems directly. This research aims to increase teacher activity, student activities, creative thinking skills, and student academic achievement by implementing Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model in class XI IPA 2 SMA PGRI 6 Banjarmasin. The research applied classroom action research (CAR) design with 2 cycles. The subjects were 39 eleventh grade students of natural science class. The data were analyzed by percentage and descriptive quantitative technique. The results showed that the teacher's activity in the implementation of the action increased from 70.15% (good) to 85.46% (very good). Student activity in cycle I 67.27% (quite active) to 85% in cycle II (active). Students' creative thinking ability for fluency indicators was originally 59.25% to 77.42%, flexibility which was originally 37.25% to 55.03%, elaboration which was originally 39.75% to 69.75%. Classical cognitive of students with a percentage of 69.23% increased to 87.17%. Students’ affective increased from 53.35% to 70.15% in cycle II and students' psychomotor learning outcomes were originally 59.69% to 69.4% in cycle II.  Keywords: creative thinking ability, academic achievement, creative problem solving                          Abstrak. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif merupakan salah satu dari keterampilan abad 21 yang harus dimiliki siswa. Kemampuan ini dapat ditingkatkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran yang menghadapkan siswa pada masalah secara langsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan hasil belajar siswa di kelas XI IPA 2 SMA PGRI 6 Banjarmasin dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS). Penelitian menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan 2 siklus. Subjek penelitian merupakan siswa kelas XI IPA berjumlah 39 orang. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik persentase dan deskriptif kuantitatif Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas guru dalam pelaksanaan tindakan meningkat dari 70,15% (baik) menjadi 85,46% (sangat baik). Aktivitas siswa pada siklus I 67,27% (cukup aktif) menjadi 85% pada siklus II (aktif). Kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa untuk indikator fluency, semula 59,25% menjadi 77,42%, flexibility yang semula 37,25 % menjadi 55,03%, elaboration yang awalnya 39,75% menjadi 69,75%. Hasil belajar kognitif siswa secara klasikal  dengan persentase 69,23% meningkat menjadi 87,17%. Hasil belajar afektif siswa meningkat dari 53,35% menjadi 70,15% pada siklus II dan hasil belajar psikomotorik siswa yang semula 59,69% menjadi 69,4% pada siklus II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran CPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir kreatif, hasil belajar, creative problem solving

Abstract

Abstract. This classroom action research aimed to increase teacher activities, students’s activities and interests in science learning on Dynamic Electrical materials using Crocodile application program. The research was conducted in SMPN 1 Banjarmasin, academic year 2016-2017. The subjects of the study were Science Teachers and students of SMPN 1 Banjarmasin. The object of the research are teacher’s activities, students’ activities, and students’ interest in learning science on Dynamic Electric materials. This study consisted of 2 cycles, each cycle consists of two learning activities sections. The data was collected using an observation sheet, a questionnaire, and an achievement test. The data was analyzed using percentage and qualitatively descripted. The research showed that there are increasing in teacher and student activities which was marked by less time to prepare experiment. There was also an increasing in students’ interest showed by 28.57% of students are fun with the science learning and 22,73% of students are interested in learning science. Based on the result, it can be concluded that science learning on Dynamic Electrical material by using Crocodile application program can increase teacher activities, student activities, and student's interest in IX F grade SMP Negeri 1 Banjarmasin in 1st semester of  academic year 2016-2017. Keywords: Crocodile Applications, teacher activities, student activities, Interest in learning Abstrak. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatan aktivitas guru, serta aktivitas  dan minat peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPA pada materi Listrik Dinamis menggunakan program aplikasi Crocodile. Penelitian dilakukan SMP Negeri 1 Banjarmasin, Tahun Pelajaran 2016-2017. Subjek penelitian adalah Guru IPA SMP Negeri 1 Banjarmasin dan ….orang peserta didik kelas IXF. Objek penelitian adalah aktivitas guru, aktivitas peserta didik, dan minat belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran materi Listrik Dinamis. Penelitian terdiri dari 2 siklus, masing-masing terdiri atas dua kali tatap muka. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar observas, angket dan tes hasil belajar. Data dianalisis menggunakan Teknik persentase dan dideskripsikan secara kualitatif. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktivitas guru dan peserta didik yang ditandai dengan berkurangnya waktu penyiapan praktikum. Terjadi juga peningkatan minat peserta didik di mana 28,57% peserta didik senang dengan pembelajaran IPA dan 22,73% peserta didik tertarik dengan pembelajaran IPA. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran IPA pada materi Listrik Dinamis dengan menggunakan program aplikasi Crocodile dapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru, aktivitas peserta didik, dan minat peserta didik di kelas IX F SMP Negeri 1 Banjarmasin.  Kata kunci: program aplikasi Crocodile, aktivitas guru, aktivitas peserta didik, minat belajar

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe the effect of emotional intelligence, parents’ attention, and mathematics learning habits on students' achievement in mathematics, both simultaneously and partially. This study is an ex post facto research that is correlational. The subjects of the study were students of Class XI of SMK 1 Tomoni. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling technique. The data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The results showed that there was a positive effect of emotional intelligence, parents’ attention, and mathematics learning habits on students' achievement in mathematics, both simultaneously and partially. Keywords: emotional intelligence, parents’ attention, mathematics learning habits, students' achievement in mathematics. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh kecerdasan emosional, perhatian orang tua, dan kebiasaan belajar terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa, baik secara simultan maupun secara parsial. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian ex post facto yang bersifat korelasional. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa Kelas XI SMK Negeri 1 Tomoni. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan teknik statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif kecerdasan emosional, perhatian orang tua, dan kebiasaan belajar matematika terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa, baik secara simultan maupun secara parsial. Kata kunci: kecerdasan emosional, perhatian orang tua, kebiasaan belajar matematika, prestasi belajar matematika.

Abstract

Abstract. Research has been carried out which aims to develop feasible the props of Physics Energy course through project-based learning based on validity, practicality, and effectiveness of props. This research is research and development using the Dick and Carey development model. The subjects of this research trial were students of the Department of Physics Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education  Universitas Lambung Mangkurat who took  Physics Energy courses in the even semester of 2016-2017 academic year. The instruments used in this research were validation sheets, questionnaires, and learning outcomes tests. Data were analyzed by using quantitative descriptive. The results of the study show that the validity of props is quite valid, the practicality of props is  practical category, and the effectiveness of props is effective category. Based on the results of the research, the props are feasible to be used as the props in Physics Energy course.Keywords: props, physics energy, project based learning.Abstrak. Telah dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat peraga fisika energi yang layak melalui perkuliahan berbasis project based learning berdasarkan validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas alat peraga. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan menggunakan model pengembangan Dick and Carey.  Subjek uji coba penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Fisika Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Lambung Mangkurat yang menempuh mata kuliah Fisika Energi pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2016-2017.  Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi, angket, dan tes hasil belajar. Data dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan validitas alat peraga berkategori cukup valid, kepraktisan alat peraga berkategori praktis, dan efektivitas alat peraga berkategori efektif.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut alat peraga fisika energi layak digunakan sebagai alat peraga dalam perkuliahan fisika energi. Kata kunci: Alat peraga, fisika energi, project based learning.
