Abstract

Schools are places where the teaching and learning process is carried out should provide a conducive atmosphere so that educational goals are expected to be achieved. One of the main factor that is quite disturbing when the learning process takes place is the noise. The school where this research is located is one of the schools that is close to the noise source. The location of this research is 34 MTs in Jakarta which is located at a radius of 0.34 km from the runway of Halim Perdanakusuma airport. This research uses descriptive analysis method. Sound noise level data collection is done by using a sound level meter. Data is measured by a momentary sound pressure level of 5 minutes, or Leq (5 minutes) for each measurement point. The noise level at 34 MTs Jakarta in five measurement points respectively were 84.87 dB, 79.60 dB, 81.73 dB, 81.00 dB and 85.20 dB. The highest noise level is at point 5 which is the side facing the runway at Halim Perdanakusuma airport. The average noise level is 83.85 dB. This value is in the very noisy category according to Kep-48 MNLH / 11/1996. From the results of questionnaire analysis, 46.1% of respondents stated that the school was noisy, then 36.2% of students stated that the noisy conditions disrupted communication while carrying out the learning process in the classroom and 36.9% of respondents stated that noise from Halim Perdanakusuma airport activities disturbed their concentration in the teaching and learning process in the classroom Keywords: noise level, school, sound level meter, learning process

Abstract

Waste is one of the major problems in Indonesia. Waste continues to increase every year. The two major contributors of waste are plastic and metal processed waste. The two kinds of waste are undegradable. Therefore, the most appropriate solution in handling these kinds of waste is to recycling or converting. One of the efforts that can be made to waste aluminum is beverage packaging, namely by turning it into alum. Alum is commonly used as a water purifier, especially water containing calcium and magnesium metals which are often called hard water. The method used is gravimetric methods. Based on research data, alum can absorb calcium metal with an effectiveness level of 42.25% and magnesium metal with an effectiveness level of 64.12%. Abstract

Homegarden is polyculture garden which located close to house. Due to various plants are possible planted at homegarden so that becoming conservation site is one of the homegarden roles. The homegarden sustainability threat especially at West Kaliurang Village is transition of land functions which has impact in decreasing homegarden plants diversity. This study aims to reveal homegarden plants composition at West Kaliurang and its correlation to homegarden area. Secondly is to explain plant use based on communitty knowledge and to know source of plant acquisition also the origin of plant floristic region. Ethnobotanical data was collected by freelisting interview method that held to common respondent whose homegarde at West Kaliurang. Undentified plants were made herbarium and then identified at laboratory. The study result showed that homegarden plant diversity at West Kaliurang consists of 227 species, 40 Kultivar, and 4 varieties which classified to 80 families. Mostly the homegarden plants found as herb (113 species), shurb (50 species), and tree (203 species). The majority of homegarden plants at West Kaliurang were introduced plants, while just a few were native plants. Keywords : ethnobotany, homegarden plants, west kaliurang, yogyakarta

Abstract

This research is aims to know about the improvement of chemistry learning outcomes of grade X on electrolyte and non electrolyte solutions academic year 2018/2019 through learning experimental method. This research is a class action research couduct in three cycles. The subject of this research is all students of grade X Darussalam Tangerang Selatan of 26 students. Data collection techniques in this research are test score of critical thinking skills. The results of the research that the application of learning experimental method can improve students’ critical thinking skills on topics electrolyte and non electrolyte. Based on the results of the first cycle, the second and the third cycle always increase. The average critical thinking ability in fisrt cycle on is 34,61%. In the second cycle the increase in students’ critical thinking skills increased to 73,07% and completeness in the third cycle. The results of this class action research are the learning experimental method can improve students’ critical thinking skills of students in grade X Darussalam Tangerang Selatan on the electrolyle and non electrolyte solutions. Abstract

Pogostemon cablin (PC) is a belonging of Lamiaceae which produces a distinctive aroma known as patchouli oil which is used in the production of perfumes and as aroma therapy. The aroma produced by plants is related to the content of volatile secondary metabolites. The writing of this article is based on literature studies in the form of books, journals and other research results and then synthesized to obtain comprehensive information about botany and the use of PCs. In Indonesia, there are three types of Pogostemon, namely PC (Aceh patchouli), P. heyneatus (Javanese patchouli) and P. hortensis (patchouli soap), but what produces more patchouli oil is a PC. Patchouli oil is a essential oil from PC leaves which is used in the pharmaceutical industry and has a very high economic value. In traditional medicine PC used to cure fever, nausea, colds, headaches, fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach ache, insect bites and snakes. The alcohol patchouli, α-patchoulene, β-patchoulene, α-bulnesene, seychellene, norpatchoulenol, pogostone, eugenol and pogostol are the main essential oils of PCs. Bioactivity of the PC is anti-stress, anti-influenza, aroma therapy, antioxidant and anti-microbial. The use of PC as aroma therapy needs to be studied further so that it can be developed in commercial scale to sauna. Keywords: Pogostemon cablin, patchuoli oil, aroma therapy

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' creativity through STEM in Science Learning in Class VIII SMP Negeri 11Kupang. The STEM approach is associated with the environment, so that a learning is realized that presents the real world experienced by students in everyday life. This means that through the STEM approach students are not just memorizing concepts, but rather how students understand and understand scientific concepts and their relationships in everyday life. The problem in this study is the low creativity of students in science learning. The subjects of this study were class VIII J students totaling 25 people. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). This research model is in the form of a cycle consisting of four stages, namely: planning, action, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques in the form of observation sheets and questionnaires. The analysis technique uses descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that science learning with the STEM approach can train students 'creative abilities in linking the four fields of the exact science so that they have deep insights and can enhance students' creativity Keywords: Creativity, STEM, Learning outcomes

Abstract

SnO2 nanoparticles are materials that have great potential in gas sensor devices. In this article, the synthesis of SnO2 nanoparticles is carried out through the mediation of pelawan (Tristaniopsis merguensis Griff.) leaf extract. The use of mediators of natural materials in this synthesis aims to make the synthesis process more environmentally friendly and lower in cost compared to conventional chemical and physical methods. Pelawan extract contains high antioxidant compounds. Thus, it can inhibit the agglomeration of SnO2 particles. Based on the variation of pH synthesis, it is known that the highest purity of SnO2 phase occurs at pH 7 while for alkaline conditions, there is an impurity, i.e., Sn6O4(OH)4. Calcination temperature has a very significant effect on the growth of SnO2 nanoparticle crystals. High temperatures will increase the size of the crystallite and the crystallinity. Abstract

Various efforts were made to develop a more effective discovery of malaria drugs. One of them is by utilizing computer technology. The use of computers in the discovery of new drugs aims to improve the efficiency of simulation and calculation processes in designing drugs (drug design). The purpose of this study was to analyze Cyanidin 3,5-di- (6- malonylglucoside) compounds against the Plasmodium falciparum Enoyl Acyl Carrier Protein Reductase (PfENR) receptor as Anti Malaria. The research stages are first, the search for ligand and receptor compounds. Second, the preparation stage of ligand compounds and receptors. Third, the docking simulation stage uses vina autodock. Finally, the analysis stage of the docking results. The results of the study is Cyanidin 3,5-di- (6 malonylglucoside) ligand compounds that have good stability against the Plasmodium falciparum Enoyl Acyl Carrier Protein Reductase enzyme (PfENR. This can be seen from the low bond energy, which is -10.7 kcal / mol. Cyanidin 3,5-di- (6 malonylglucoside) ligand has a good bond between ligand and receptor to the stability of the Plasmodium falciparum Enoyl Acyl Carrier Protein Reductase enzyme (PfENR because there are 6 hydrogen bonds. 5 bonds between hydrogen and receptor and one bond between hydrogen and ligand The interaction between ligands and receptors that are also formed is stable seen in the hydrophobic interactions and electrostatic interactions formed.The residues that form hydrophobic interactions are ALA217, ALA319, LEU315, MET261, TYR277 and TYR111 residues, while the electrostatic bonds are residues ASP107, SER317, SER215, GLY106 and LYS285 From this interaction it can be seen that the Cyanidin 3.5 ligand -di- (6 malonylglucoside) is stable to be used as an inhibitor of the Plasmodium falciparum Enoyl Acyl Carrier Protein Reductase (PfENR) enzyme. From some parameter analysis above, it can be concluded that Cyanidin 3,5-di- (6 malonylglucoside) ligand compound has good stability as an antimalarial drug candidate.
