Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of Evangelism Responsibility and Creativity in Learning Performance of servants with 50 samples selected. This study concludes that there is a significant influence and correlation between evangelism responsibility and ministry performance, creativity in studying the word of God with ministry performance and evangelism responsibility, creativity in learning the word of God together with ministry performance of God's servants. The research method was surveyed with correlational and regression analysis. The target population is STTIJA students in East Jakarta. For sampling techniques used Convenience or purposive sampling. The research instrument used by researchers and has been developed by researchers and the results: there is a positive and significant responsibility for evangelism with services with a regression formula: Y = 71,792 + 0.17 X1 significant at the 95% and 90% levels of trustees. There is a positive and significant correlation between the creativity of learning God's word with the performance of my ministry. The regression formula is Y = 78.965 + 0.109 X2. There is a positive and significant correlation of responsibility for evangelism and creativity to study God's word along with the ministry of performance of the ministers. The regression formula is Y = 60.757 + 0.169 X1 + 0.106 X2 at the 95% confidence level. Keywords: Evangelism and Creativity Responsibility, Service Performance ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan Tanggung Jawab Penginjilan dan Kreativitas Kinerja Pembelajaran pelayandengan 50 sampel yang dipilih. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh dan korelasi yang signifikan antara tanggung jawab penginjilan dengan kinerja pelayanan, kreativitas mempelajari firman Allah dengan kinerja pelayanan dan tanggung jawab penginjilan, kreativitas mempelajari firman Allahbersamaan dengan kinerja pelayanan hamba Tuhan. Metode penelitian disurvei dengan analisis korelasional dan regresi. Sasaran populasinya mahasiswa STTIJA di Jakarta Timur. Untuk teknik pengambilan sampel digunakan Convenience atau purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti dan telah dikembangkan oleh peneliti dan hasilnya: ada tanggung jawab positif dan signifikan untuk penginjilan dengan pelayanan dengan rumus regresi: Y = 71.792 + 0,17 X1 signifikan di tingkat 95% dan 90% dari wali. Ada korelasi positif dan signifikan dari kreativitas pembelajaran firman Tuhan dengan kinerja pelayanan hamba. Regresi rumusnya adalah Y = 78,965 + 0,109 X2. Ada korelasi positif dan signifikan dari tanggung jawab untuk penginjilan dan kreativitas untuk belajar firman Allah bersamaan dengan pelayanan kinerja para pelayan. Abstract

This research is motivated by the aim to be a reference in the manufacturing room management information system in UKI. Analysis and Management System Design Lecture Hall (Room Management) is one of room management system that serves to regulate the use of the room automatically so that the room can be used more optimally. it will also save the costs. Therefore, room for the Manage applications are made so that it can implement Information technology service management in which it can help efective handling arrangements room usage and efficient in Christian University of Indonesian to support the development of the institution. While the benefit to be achieved in the making of this thesis is that if the design of this system has been implemented, it will save money, because the room is used optimally.Keywords : System, Classroom.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research was conducted because of the low learning motivation and learning achievements of students in the subjects of Biology and still has not done well the use of learning methods, especially in the learning process in the Biology class of XII IPA 1 SMAN 6 Bekasi. This research outputs indicated that Discovery Learning has a positive impact in improving students' motivation. Based on data analysis, the activity of the teacher in the learning process using Discovery Learning method in each cycle also increased as well as the positive impact on student achievement. This can be shown by the average value of students in each cycle which is constantly increasing. Thus the hypothesis of action in this study proved that the application of the discovery learning method (Discovery Learning) in teaching and learning can enhance students' motivation to learn Biology with the material theory of evolution.Keywords : Motivation, Achievement, Biology, Evolution, Discovery Learning Method

Abstract

ABSTRACT Syzygium polyanthum (Wight) Walp. or known as bay leaf is one of the species of the Myrtaceae have been used as a traditional medicine by various ethnicities, especially in Southeast Asia. The utilization of Syzygium polyanthum as a medicine is related to its secondary metabolite content. The article aims to know the relationship of secondary metabolites and the utilization of Syzygium polyanthum as a traditional medicine as well as scientific evidence. This paper is based on literature review both online and offline in the form of books and scientific journals. Syzygium polianthum contains a variety of secondary metabolites, especially essential oils, tannins, flavonoids, and terpenoids. As a traditional medicine ingredient, Syzygium polyanthum is used as a drug of diabetes mellitus, stomach disorder, overcoming haemorrhoids disease, diarrhea, skin diseases, freshener, hypertension and cholesterol. Scientifically Syzygium polyanthum has bioactivity as an antimicrobial, antioxidant, antidiabetic, and anti cholesterol. Artikel bertujuan untuk menkaji hubungan metabolit sekunder dan pemanfaatan Syzygium polyanthumsebagai obat tradisional serta bukti ilmiahnya. Tulisan ini didasarkan pada kajian literatur baik secara online dan offline berupa buku dan jurnal ilmiah. Syzygium polianthum mengandung berbagai metabolit sekunder terutama essential oils, tannin, flavonoid, dan terpenoid. Sebagai bahan obat tradisional, Syzygium polyanthum digunakan sebagai obat diabetes mellitus, gangguan lambung, mengatasi penyakit haemorrhoids, diarrhea, penyakit kulit, penyegar, hipertensi dan kolesterol. Secara ilmiah telah Syzygium polyanthum memiliki bioaktivitas sebagai antimikroba, antioksidan, antidiabetes, dan anti kolesterol. Kata kunci:Syzygium polyanthum, essensial oil, antioksidan

Abstract

One’s ability to absorb and master the subject matter is different from one another. Some are able to learn quickly, some other are slow. This may be caused by the learning styles and also some aspects both from within and from outside. The purpose of this study was to find out what learning styles adopted by the students of STKIP Purnama, especially those who already work in both at school and in other institutions and also to identify the factors that influence the students’ learning activities. This research method applied were observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that learning style that is applied by students STKIP Purnama, especially those who already work, is the auditory and visual learning styles. A total of 15 respondents applying auditory learning style, while 5 respondents applying visual learning style.Keywords : learning materials, learning style

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is aimed to know the differences increase critical thinking skills through learning group and individual problem solving in thermochemical material. This research uses a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design and study sample consisted of 103 students, divided into the first experimental (group problem solving) (35 students), the two group experimental (individual problem solving) (34 students). The collected through pretest-posttest. The analyzed with the Kruskal Wallis test, the results showed that the learning problem solving as a group or individually can improve students’ critical thinking skills. Statistical test there are significant differences in the students critical thinking skills thermochemical material between students who received group and individual problem solving. Critical thinking skills improvement with problem solving individual learning higher compared with group learning problem solving.Keywords: problem solving learning, critical thinking skillsABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pembelajaran group dan individual problem solving pada materi termokimia. Data dianalisis dengan uji Kruskal Wallis Test, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran problem solving secara group maupun secara individual dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Data uji statistik, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi termokimia antara siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran group problem solving dan individual problem solving. Peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan pembelajaran individual problem solving lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran group problem solving.Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Problem Solving, Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis

Abstract

This reserach was conducted to determine the influence of organizational behavior and commitment towards lecturers’ performance at private universities in Jakarta. The method used in this research is the survey method. The samples in this research were 90 lecturers of private universities who were selected randomly. The technique used to analyze the obtained data was a path analysis by employing SPSS program. The results indicated that: (1) there was influence of organizational behavior towards the lecturers’ performance, (2) there was influence of commitment towards the lecturers’ performance, (3) there was influence of organizational behavior and commitment simultaneously towards the lecturers’ performance.Keywords: organizational behavior, commitment, lecturer performance

Abstract

Giving instruction for a language class specifically a grammar class can be a problematic issue of controversy in EFL context for non native speaker (NNS) teacher due to the lack of approach or strategies implementation and the language problem faced in the teaching and learning process. The primary aim of this article is to provide some insight for teachers when conducting or giving instruction to the teaching of English grammar. It also highlights that in giving instruction, combining deductive and inductive approaches can be beneficial for teachers or faculties who are teaching English grammar in the setting of EFL context. Hence, they have to vary the strategies whether it should be extensive or intensive as suggested by Hinkel (2006) in which it might be one of the technique that can be put into account and applied in order to make the teaching of grammar more effective and efficient.Keywords : EFL context, deductive and inductive approaches

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk menjelaskan penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses sains dalam bentuk proyek karya ilmiah, dan (2) untuk mengetahui minat belajar biologi siswa setelah diberi perlakuan proyek karya ilmiah. Metode penelitian menggunaan eksperimen one shot case study. Populasi adalah siswa kelas X SMA Citra Kasih. Sampel adalah siswa kelas X MIPA tahun ajaran 2014/2015 sebanyak 25 siswa. Proyek karya ilmiah merupakan tugas yang diberikan kepada siswa secara berkelompok dan dilakukan secara terbimbing mulai dari penentuan judul, penyusunan proposal, pelaksanaan penelitian, penyusunan laporan penelitian, dan presentasi. Proyek karya ilmiah dapat menumbuhkan minat siswa terhadap pembelajaran Biologi. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan 88 % siswa menyatakan minat terhadap Biologi setelah diberi proyek karya ilmiah.Kata kunci: Keterampilan Sains, Proyek Karya Ilmiah, Minat siswa ABSTRACT The research objectives are (1) to explain the application of scientific skill approach using scientific work project, and (2) to know the students’ interest after the respondents was given scientific work project treatment. The research method is experiment with one shot case study. The population is the Grade X students of SMA Citra Kasih Jakarta. The samples are 25 students of Class X MIPA academic year 2014/2015. Scientific work project is a task that is given to students in groups and it is conducted with guide from title determination, proposal preparation, research implementation, research reporting, and presentation. The project of scientific work is able to make students interest in Biology learning. This is proofed by 88% students who increasing interest in learning Biology after being given a project of scientific work.Keywords: scientific skill, scientific work project, students’ interest

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to investigate Newton's legal errors and gravity in prospective physics students. Participants in this study came from 39 students of the Physics Education study program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Universitas Kristen Indonesia in the 2018-2019 academic year. The instrument used was misconception diagnostic test in form multiple choice with closed reasons consisting of five items. Diagnostic test were adopted from the Force Concept Inventory (FCI) instrument with sub topics of Newton's Law I and Implementation. Answers were coded correspond to the misconception taxonomy of FCI. The average percentage of misconceptions resolved by students on gracity sub-topics was assisted: air pressure-assisted gravity(13.80%),gravity intrinsic to mass (39.25%), and heavier objects fall faster (27.95%). Furthermore, the average percentage of student misconception on the Newton’s 1st Law, consists of: only active agents exert force (25.03%), motion implies active force (28.20%), no motion implies no force (16.65% (48.75%), and velocity proportional to applied force (48.75%) .The results of this study will help teachers and curriculum makers to revise the learning meto and content of textbooks to overcome misconceptions. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berasal dari 39 mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Fisika, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Kristen Indonesia tahun akademik 2018-2019. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes diagnostik miskonsepsi berbentuk pilihan ganda dengan alasan tertutup yang terdiri atas lima butir soal. Tes diagnostik diadopsi dari instrumen Force Concept Inventory (FCI) dengan sub topik Hukum I Newton dan gravitasi. Jawaban yang keliru diberi kode sesuai dengan taksonomi miskonsepsi Hastenes. Rerata persentase miskonsepsi yang dialami oleh mahasiswa pada sub topik gravitasi, di antaranya: tekanan udara memperbesar percepatan gravitasi (13,80%), gravitasi dipengaruhi oleh massa (39,25%), dan benda berat jatuh lebih cepat (27,95%). Selanjutnya, rerata persentase miskonsepsi mahasiswa pada sub topik Hukum I Newton, terdiri atas: hanya benda bergerak yang menghasilkan gaya (25,03%), gerak memerlukan gaya aktif (28,20%), benda diam tidak mengalami gaya (16,65%), dan gaya sebanding dengan kecepatan benda (48,75%).Hasil dari penelitian ini akan membantu guru dan pembuat kurikulum untuk merevisi metoe pembelajaran dan isi buku teks untuk mengatasi miskonsepsi.
